Cara Colter was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, surrounded by ranches, but she was always a reluctant city girl. A journalism graduate, she has been making her living with words for her entire adult life. Before published her first romance novel in 1987, she wrote educational materials, newspaper stories, magazine articles and even sermons!

"I am living proof that dreams come true," Cara says. "I am an ordinary person leading an extraordinary life."

Now she lives on a small acreage in British Columbia. She shares her life with her personal hero, Rob, a cat and eight horses. She has three grown children, and already is a granmother.

Erin dan Valentino bertemu di area bersalju pada jalan menuju ke pondoknya. Valentino mengira Erin adalah kepala pengawalnya. Karena terjebak hujan salju, Erin terpaksa membawa Valentino ke pondoknya. Erin yang baru saja patah hati karena pertunangannya kandas, menemukan perasaan baru bersama Valentino. Mereka menghabiskan waktu bersama di pondok, sampai para pengawal menemukan Valentino. Saat itu Erin baru mengetahui Valentino adalah seorang pangeran. Dan bukan itu saja kejutannya, Valentino adalah pangeran yang telah bertunangan dan akan segera menikah.

Kisah selanjutnya hampir bisa ditebak. Menyadari ketertarikannya pada Erin, Valentino memutuskan pertunangan. Dia pun bertekad mengajak Erin ke negaranya, untuk memperkenalkan Erin tentang dunianya. Tapi sekali lagi, pers membuat kisah mereka hancur.

Setelah sekian lama, kali ini menemukan kembali HQ yang "sopan". Tapi kesannya jadi seperti ada yang kurang. Ohya, ada unsur "cat in a book" juga dalam HQ ini.

This was a quick read, but wordy for my tastes. The actual plot of the book could've taken up a third of the pages.

Not the usual slow burn. Love comes fast, making room for the couples collision of worlds to make sense for the HEA. I enjoyed it.
