His Road to Redemption by Lisa Jordan was such a powerful moving story. I have never read a book by Lisa Jordan before, but i'm glad this was my first one because it was so touching. I felt like all the characters were so relatable. Just one single page had me laughing and crying all at the same time. Once I started reading, it was so difficult to stop and put the book down. When you ask me to do something, and I tell you one minute, it most likely means i'll do it when I finish the book. Lisa Jordan had me on an emotional roller coaster ride. Lisa Jordan will have you cheering for the characters and hope they will get their second chance at happiness. I was so invested in this story, I didn't want it to end, but at the same time I wanted to know what the outcome was going to be. His Road to Redemption is about family, love, faith, and sticking by those when they are struggling. Let me just say i'm devouring these books like a bag of hot cheetos. Grab yourself a copy of this book/ebook and a cozy blanket and just snuggle up and read this amazing story.

"A veteran in need of a fresh start will get more than he bargained for...."

Micah Holland is a veteran who has scars that go deeper than anyone knows. Micah has sustained an injury that caused him to lose his arm, which also caused him to stop fighting for the country he loves. Before I go on with this review any further, I just want to say thank you to all those who have severed and fought for our country. My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones, and for those who are on the front line fighting for us. When Micah was younger a tornado swept through his town, Micah was in charge of keeping his mother safe, but unfortunately she lost her life. Micah always felt like it was his fault, so instead of staying home and helping out his family, Micah decided to enlist in the service. Micah Holland and Paige Watson have known each other since they were young kids, but when they both receive an inheritance from their mentor, this could be a new beginning for the both of them.

Micah and Page are to share the goat farm they both inherited from their neighbor. But, the only way the can share the farm is to work together. Micah wants to open a house for veterans who come home injured, or for those who feel like they are alone. Paige wants to start a therapy barn for those who have disabilities. Micah and Paige both want this to work out, but they are both so stubborn, and won't open their eyes and accept the help that others are offering. Micah won't ask for help because he doesn't want people to think he's weak, and Paige doesn't want to ask for help because ever since her father died when she was thirteen, her mother told her she needs to be more independent. But first, Micah must prove he's a changed man to keep his dream. So many people are afraid to get close to Micah because they think he'll just get up and walk away again.

Out of Micah and his brothers, he felt like he was the outcast in the family. Micah felt like all his brothers blamed him for everything, but what he didn't understand was that everyone was grieving from the loss of their mother. In this story Micah also carried a lot of hurts from the past, both from traumatic events in his family life to his military service. I love how Lisa Jordan showed how capable Micah was with things in his life, even as an amputee. But the scars Micah carried were not only outward, he struggled more with the inner scars. Micah felt like he wasn't good enough, and that his brothers blamed him for everything, but he didn't realize they were going through with their own struggles. This story was so uplifting of faith, forgiveness, and hope. Both Micah and Paige will hold a spot in my heart for a long time to come.

Okay Lisa!! You made me cry again and I loved every minute of it!💕

Wow, Lisa Jordan is now an auto buy author for me. HIS ROAD TO REDEMPTION is only my second book by her but holy cow! She had my emotions all over the place. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Paige and Micah. What an awesome story. All of Lisa’s characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again. Paige and Micah are both so stubborn and are determined to not ask for help from anyone. If they would just open their eyes and see people want to help them because of who they are, their faith and beliefs, not out of pity

HIS ROAD TO REDEMPTION is all about family and faith and totally heart tugging. It had me flipping through the pages like a woman on a mission. I had to know what was going to happen to Micah and Paige and all the secondary characters. Paige is afraid of going into business partnership with Micah. She is afraid he will just take off and leave again. She wants him to stay. Can she convince him he is home once again? Once you start reading HIS ROAD TO REDEMPTION it will be very hard to put down!

HIS ROAD TO REDEMPTION will most likely be one of the greatest heart tugging books I will read in 2022. I was instantly emotionally invested in all of the characters. Mostly, they all kept me holding my breath but the banter between Paige and Micah is hysterical. Lisa Jordan is such a wonderful and heart tugging author and she had me laughing and crying on the very same page. I am now going to read all of her previous books and she has just made a new fan forever! Grab your copy today and get on the couch!

This was a very good prodigal story. Micah definitely felt like the outcast brother in his family. He carried a lot of hurts from the past, both from traumatic events in his family life to his military service, which ended when he was injured in an explosion. I liked the way the author showed how capable he was with things in life, even as an amputee. Yet, the scars he carried were not only outward. He struggled more with the inner scars.

Paige and Micah were thrown together to work on their individual business endeavors related to the farm they both inherited. I enjoyed watching them learn to work together, although it was tough to see the way Paige struggled with asking for help and trusting Micah to be there for her. Even though these two began to feel more for each other than just friends, they had a lot to overcome before they could find a happily ever after.

I have read two of the three books that come before this one, but feel that this book could still be enjoyed even if you haven’t read any of the earlier stories.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This review will post on my blog on 1/4/22.

LOVE Inspired books are a favorite Series of mine to read. I have read so many books in the LOVE Inspired series and I have specifically read a few of Lisa Jordan's books. I most recently read His Road to Redemption by Lisa Jordan, which is part of the Holland Brothers Series.

Micah Holland has served time in the Armed Services. He is excited to learn that he has inherited a Goat Farm. Although, his excitement is short lived when he learns he must share his inheritance with Paige Watson. He really wants to be able to keep the Goat Farm, as he believes it can bring new beginnings for him. He must learn to work with Paige and abide by the terms of the Will left by his Mentor. Paige Watson is an independent woman and also wants to keep the farm. Will Paige and Micah be able to overcome and work together? Will the Goat Farm inheritance bring 2 people together and will there be a LOVE connection also?

I truly LOVED this book from the very first page and chapter. Having served in the Armed Forces, Micah was suffering from being an amputee, but he also had other scars and "battle wounds" to conquer. He felt honored when he inherited the Goat Farm and he had a great outlook for his own mental stability. I LOVE how Micah and Paige were put together in a situation that neither were 100% familiar with, but they were both excited about being owners of a Goat Farm. The relationship between Micah and Paige definitely changed and matured throughout the book and it was a joy to read about their relationship changes. The book is one of Second Chances, lessons in overcoming challenges. I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who loves SHORT and Easy reads and Christian Romance. GREAT BOOK!

What a stunning redemption story! One of my favourite tropes and I love it when I become emotionally invested in a character's struggle to seek out renewal and hope. That's Micah -- true, he's dealt with some seriously difficult circumstances in his life but he can also be his own worst enemy. Because Micah has a loving family -- his brothers have been featured in previous books -- but instead of running to them he ran away so this is a prodigal son story as well. And that adds to the emotional drama! Phew -- another page-turning frenzy of a read for me!

Love that Paige and Micah have a history that sets them up as competitors rather than allies at the start. Stubbornness and second-guessing the other's words/actions comes second nature, I guess. They kinda reminded me of an early days Anne and Gilbert (Anne of Green Gables, if you don't get that reference.) I loved the dynamics and the way they both slowly break down their defences as the story progresses.

This is only the second book I've read by Lisa Jordan and I'm putting her on my 'play author catch-up' list pronto! I've missed two Holland brother stories and a whole other series besides! This author knows how to spin a romantic tale with just the right amount of angst and a whole lot of heart. And faith! Incredibly good!

His Road to Redemption is the fourth book in Lisa Jordan’s Love Inspired series about the Holland brothers. Micah, the baby of the family, finally comes home when he inherits a property with his childhood frenemy Paige Watson. Being forced to work together will either be the making or breaking of his dreams.

After having read about the other brothers, I enjoyed getting to read Micah’s story. He’s had a difficult journey. At first he wasn’t a likable character—to anyone—but then, as he worked to redeem his past, I couldn’t help but root for him and he quickly became a favorite. Paige is very independent, however while two stubborn individuals can try to keep everyone away, it also means they won’t leave when the going gets tough. Without giving anything away, these qualities make for a dramatic a finish.

The only struggle I had was with the loss of a couple animals—not something I’ve seen in a Love Inspired story, so that took me aback. Otherwise, it was a resounding conclusion to the Holland family’s story.

If you’re looking for a story of redemption, try His Road to Redemption. You don’t have to read the rest of the series first, but it dose make this story all the sweeter.

Okay, how has Lisa Jordan escaped my attention before now? His Road To Redemption has so much heart, and I absolutely loved this couple - even before they were a couple. Micah and Paige are so easy to root for, and I loved their banter. It made for some well-timed laughs in an otherwise emotional story, laughs that kept things from getting too heavy at times. The story is a quick read, which is a good thing because I read it one sitting. I wanted to see how things would play out between Micah and Paige. Things do get emotional, and I shed a few tears along the way, but it's a lovely story of love and faith. As I understand it, Micah isn't the first Holland brother to get a book, so I'll be adding the others to my TBR list, and I'll be watching for whatever this author does next.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Micah has avoided home for so long because he doesn’t think his family wants him there, but the death of his neighbor brings him home again, despite what the family thinks. Surprisingly, his neighbor leaves Micah enough to fulfill his longtime dreams, but there’s a catch to it that Micah is not sure he can fulfill. Working with Paige on the goat farm isn’t something he really cares to do.

I have really enjoyed Lisa Jordan’s books in the past, and this one is another awesome read by Jordan. I love that her characters have that realistic feeling, seeming like part of our family. As the story unfolds, the other and the characters develop so well. I really like the prodigal son story that was Micha. He is definitely not the person who left so long ago after loosing his mother. But he needs to prove this to everyone in order to feel accepted. Paige has her shaded past as well. These two have their work cut out for them. And for me it was so much fun to follow Paige and Micah as their lives begin to change and their relationship developed. I love books that offer second chances and this one is an awesome read!! I’m giving His Road to Redemption by Lisa Jordan Five Stars.

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

What do you do when it seems you're the prodigal no one seems to understand?
Micah had for the longest time struggled to fit in with his family, always felt like he was looking from the outside in and it affected his relationship with them and others because his past reputation had definitely left an impression and not a good one at that. Right off the bat meeting him, it was obvious the struggle he was going through trying to prove that he wasn't the same person.
Paige had an ongoing desire to start up her own Therapy centre to help patients like her sister.
When the two of them are brought together by a will, initially sparks fly and not the good kind. Both of them strong willed individuals who know what they want and would not be pushed aside have to learn to work together to push aside old hurts and prejudice.
As the story progresses we see them grow and become better versions of themselves. Not an easy journey but a beautiful one to see.
If you love books in second chances, this is definitely one to look out for.

This is a Inspirational Romance. I really found this romance touching and moving. I loved seeing the two main characters (Micah and Paige) overcoming their past and learning to support each other by working together. I really enjoyed the characters in this book, and I enjoyed reading this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired) or author (Lisa Jordan) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. A light read with romance, about family, dreams and new beginnings.

What I liked was the simple life of faith of the characters and how realistic it was amidst their weaknesses and sins. I also liked how they overcame the struggles, description of emotions and relational dynamics.

What I didn't like is the melodrama; the story jumps from one imposed conflict to another side plot without a good relation to the actual story direction. I also didn't like the superficiality of the characters.

His Road to Redemption
Holland Brothers #3
By Lisa Jordan

He's changed...and now it's time to prove it.

Micah Holland has avoided home basically since his mother's death. He knows his family would rather not be burdened by him, and he knows they'd rather he be outta sight, outta mind. But when his neighbor's death brings him home he never expected to have a chance to fulfill his dreams.

Ian's will has given him what he needs to open a home for homeless, disabled veterans. But there is a catch and it is a doozy - he has to share Ian's goat farm with Paige Watson plus his veteran's program and Paige's children's therapy program both have to get off the ground in a certain period of time.

Can Micah and Paige learn to work together when their whole lives they have been in competition with one another? Having turned his life around Micah has to prove to everyone that he isn't the mess-up, runaway guy he used to be. He just needs someone to believe in him. Could Paige be that person?

His Road to Redemption is a prodigal son story and a story of a family that had fallen apart following the loss of their mother. And it is a story about reaching out and accepting help. Both Micah and Paige have incidents in their past that helped shape them into the people they are today - both are stubborn and determined to do it their way and on their own. What they don't realize is that they need what the other has to offer and that was what Ian saw and hoped to nurture with his gift. But sometimes we get in our own way and have to see others through eyes that aren't clouded by the past. This is a fast read that will take the reader on a roller coaster of emotions. It is a clean and gentle read that is part of the Love Inspired collection so you are assured of a happy ending.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion ~ all thoughts expressed are my own.

Conclusion Of Modern Day Waltons Saga. If you're a fan of the old-school Waltons or Little House on the Prairie or the newer shows like Heartland, this book is absolutely right up your alley. These IPs show that the market for this kind of tale is strong, so it is actually great to find a book that fits in fairly perfectly with them. Just be warned that although this isn't (currently?) marked as Book 4 of a series, it actually *is* Book 4, following Season of Hope (Book 1), A Love Redeemed (Book 2), and The Father He Deserves (Book 3), and seems to serve as a finale for this series. Thus, all three brothers from the first three books show up, as Micah (our hero here) seems to have been at least introduced in Book 1 and is now being brought forth to claim his destiny as a romance hero in his own right here. Having not read the other three books, it clearly seems as though there are significant payoffs for potentially series-running plot threads here - I just don't know. So the long and short of this review is that while this book is a strong Waltons-type romance in its own right, featuring newer, more modern plotlines (including animals-as-therapy and group homes for homeless veterans)... I actually do recommend reading the first three books of this series before reading this one, which isn't something I usually say about such tales but truly is fairly critical here. And I'm sure that by the time you've finished those other three, you're going to want this one anyway. Very much recommended.

“Nothing worth having comes easy. You just have to decide if you’re willing to fight for what you want to do with your life…and who you want to spend it with.”
Micah and Paige grew up challenging and competing with each other. When Micah’s grandfather, Ian, passes away, he leaves Micah and Paige an inheritance designed to help them pursue the dreams they have of helping others, while making them partners. Neither of them is excited about the prospect of working together, but as they progress in working on setting up their respective projects, they begin to see each other differently, and begin to wonder if maybe they are the partner they have each been looking for.
This was a wonderful story, well written and enjoyable to read. I hadn’t read any others in the series, but didn’t feel I had missed anything. The characters were well developed, and I enjoyed getting to know the other family members, and Micah and Paige specifically. I loved seeing how they grew as they worked to build something together. I would definitely recommend this read!

Micah and Paige have some life projects and even with their pain, they need a fresh start. After the death of their mutual friend, Ian, the lives of these two former acquaintances will change completely, as he knowing the heart of each one of them will make their dream come true and help a little more.

Micah and Paige didn't welcome Ian's idea of forcing them to work together but as they get back to work on Ian's farm and realize how good they are together, a lot will change in their minds and hearts.

I love so very much stories about redemption and second chances and it was beautiful to follow Micah's journey especially with his family. His love story and Paige touched my heart and in several moments I wanted to put him on my lap and make sure he stopped suffering.

When I got this book I didn't know it was the last in a series about the Holland brothers, I haven't read the previous books and after reading it I already want to read about the other brothers.

Building Her Amish Dream is a very inspiring story written by Jo Ann Brown. I enjoyed getting to know the well rounded characters and their stories. This book is set on Prince Edward Island which was intriguing in itself. With the great descriptions used by the author you can almost feel the weather there. This story shows that with great determination anything can be accomplished. So many twist and turns leaves the reader wondering if the goal can be achieved. This was a different kind of storyline but I enjoyed it very much.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

I enjoyed this book but felt there was something missing. I think this was due to the main characters were not part of an established Amish community. Mattie and her younger sister Daisy - who has Downs Syndrome and is in a wheelchair, have come to Prince Edward Island with their 3 cousins to help establish a new community. Mattie and Daisy are going to run a farm shop.
The building that has been chosen for the farm shop needs a lot of work done and the sisters get started but an accident means that Mattie is not able to do as much as she wants. Benjamin another Amish man, who is on the Island to decide if he wants to move there, steps in to help get the shed ready. He knows Mattie, as he used to court her older sister.
As he, Mattie and Dasiy work together and get to know each other could they possibly become the family that Daisy craves?
There is also the back story about why Daisy is desperate for a family again, also why the family is split.
I enjoyed the plot and the characters but felt that the community aspect was missing which was a shame. I am hoping that the next book, if there is one, has more of a community aspect.

Building Her Amish Dream by Jo Ann Brown
This is a good book not one that I’d say is a true page turner however you will enjoy the storyline and how the characters take the risk to start over in a beautiful new community all while settling past hurt and confusion within their family.
With God’s help and faith their path will become as clear as the sea’ water. You will love Mattie’s and Benjamin’s story, but if your anything like me your favorite character will be Daisy who wants nothing more than happiness and love for her sister and family. You can always see little Baby Lynn through the eye of Daisy. This is a fun story and I will enjoy seeing if more books come out with these characters.

I really enjoyed this book! I like the characters and the setting! I love stories based on Prince Edward Island!
Mattie along with her cousins and sister Daisy decide to open a shop on Prince Edward Island. She had hoped to forget about her past but her old secret crush, Benjamin offers to help her with repairs on the shop. Benjamin doesn't know that Mattie liked him years ago and Mattie doesn't want to tell him. After working together everyday they start to develop feelings for each other. Benjamin finds himself torn about wanting to stay on the Island or return home to help his brother. Matties mom comes to visit and Mattie is upset. Benjamin comforts her and then realizes that he loves Mattie. They get married and run their two shops together.

Have you ever been overlooked? Have you ever had misinformation that you based your opinion on a situation? Have you ever been so determined to overcome and show others you are strong? If these questions cause you to say, "yes", then, you will appreciate our heroine and her determination to control what she can, while learning He is in control and knows all. It's the recent novel from Jo Ann Brown. I recommend it and her past novels. I always finish her books with a smile and then wanting the next one to be available.

Another well written book by Jo Ann Brown, Surprising family matters on Mattie's family mostly the mother. This show strength & determination on Mattie and Daisy's part to get things done . And that trust and community makes a big difference when you acknowledge you need more help than you thought . I love the way it all ended and how love comes to all with patience and trust and faith in God . A very good read I didn't want to put it down read in one day it was so good

Massive plot hole. There’s an arson that just…never gets solved. It’s just never mentioned again.

Honestly the rest of the book wasn’t great either. Not nearly up to the level of her Bliss Valley series.

Bought a “mystery book” at my local bookstore and ended up with this. Now, I’m not someone who “Inspirational Romances” are written for, but honestly this kept me entertained. It was also nice to see a disabled character who isn’t infantilized and also is never seen as a burden in anyway.
