This was another good one in the series. This series is good for a quick read when you don’t want to think too hard. It has a bit of action, bit of romance, everything you need. There were a few typos (such as Dyna’s name being spelled both Dyna and Dina) but overall I enjoyed it.
Connie has been abused in her life and subsequently shut out all relationships, due to her ptsd she is prone to panic attacks if left alone with a man or if someone touches her unexpectedly. She can’t have kids and believes she is broken and unworthy of Aarav’s love.
Aarav is a lion shifter and has been wooing Connie for the past 8 months since he saw her and realized she was his soul mate. He brings her her favorite iced coffee every morning and leaves it on her porch, as well as taking care of anything she may need outside the house. He wants any interaction with Connie to be on her terms since he (and all the Reylean men) can see she was abused somehow and she has a problem with male interaction.
Their romance is set against the backdrop of two missing teenagers in the mountains with a big storm coming in. The Reyleans know they can find them, but can they risk exposing their Tribe’s secret?
One thing I am a little disappointed by is that I feel like she is somehow going to be healed from her sterilization. I know her character actually really wants children and is very sad about not being able to have any so I’m happy for her, but it would be nice for one of these type books to have a female lead who didn’t want kids and the not having kids thing wasn’t a problem to be “fixed”. The author also gave Connie a very traumatic backstory (without too many details) that she needs therapy for so I feel like the author leaned a little too heavily on the mating bond to just heal her completely within a few days once she stopped fighting it.

Connie and Aarav are both cops in Mystery, Alaska. He knows she is his mate, but her past is haunted by abusers and sex traffickers. Her worst is when she is alone with a man and the panic attacks start, but Aarav has been patient with her and when she meets his lion, she feels at ease. When two teens are missing on the mountain and snowstorms are coming, the group is the only ones that can save them in the bad weather. The suspense of losing someone opens her up finally to fully accept Aarav as her mate.
The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings and emotions. The storyline has suspense, surprises, miscommunication, twists, revelations, strong friendships, close families and steamy times. Loved when the teens are brought back to the cabin and the whole group shows up. Well written and very hard to put down.

Book eight in the series brings Connie and Aarav's story. The author brings strong characters who are fated mates ... he just has to convince her. There's tons of emotions in this beautiful love story. It's well written,moves fluidly and I enjoyed reading. Great addition to the series!

Was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this journey. Action packed, sexy, emotionally thrilling adventure filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and thrilling danger.

I don't know if I've read all of this author's books or not, but I've loved all the ones I have and I can say without a doubt that this one is truly special. It's a very emotional journey from beginning to end. The writing was so moving that I'd have to stop and get a tissue. The heroine's back story is horrendous and she can't stop the fear she has of people and men in particular. Our hero has love to last a lifetime and will wait just as long to prove it. But there is hope and that leads to sex filled with so much love that this old broad got excited .

I was super excited to see that this story was Connie's story. The trauma and devastation this sweet woman went through. I just knew it was going to take a special man or cat rather to earn her trust and love. Aarav is so patient and attentive when it comes to Connie. You can tell he is all in with his whole heart.

I have loved the Alaska Shifters. Connie is the town paramedic, but she has a haunted past and emotional scars. Aarav knew as soon as he saw Connie she was meant for him, but he has to practice a lot of patience in order for him to get close. This book is exciting, and a bit sad with the experiences that Connie dealt with but it seems that Mystery Alaska is seeing a new side to its neighbors.

Connie and Aarva - a beautiful love story
This is book 8 in the Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska series. While these are standalones, there are overreaching story arcs that span all the books and the series is best read in order to get full enjoyment out of the story and characters. Aarva is a lion shifter from Reylea who is now an inhabitant of earth after being transported through a magic portal while their world was collapsing. He is also a sheriffs deputy in Mystery, the small Alaskan town the Reyleans now live in. Connie is a paramedic and a human resident of Mystery. She is also one of the few humans who know their secret. Aarva joined the clan in the previous book and immediately recognized Connie as his mate but Connie refused to even consider it. Aarva is willing to accept her refusal for now, support her from a distance and hope that at some point in the future she may accept him. Their relationship is pushed forward when they are thrust together, something Connie usually avoids, to search for two missing teens. Like the other stories in this series, Connie and Aarva’s story is filled with witty and engaging characters, heart racing moments, a tragic back story, and a beautiful passion for love, justice and acceptance. I love the way the characters are portrayed as being so kind, compassionate, and thoughtful to each other as well as the humans in their adopted world. And the love stories never disappoint - I always feel all the feelings while they work through their issues. I cannot wait to read the next story of a HEA for one of the other Reyleans.

Connie is scarred inside and out due to the horrors of her past. When Aarav, an alien lion shapeshifter claims that she is his mate she wants absolutely nothing to do with him. She avoids him like the plague even though he is always leaving her gifts and doing nice things for her. She just can't get close to a man, any man. When Aarav starts to investigate two missing teenagers it brings him and Connie on a collision course. With a massive snowstorm brewing time is running out for the teenagers will the alien tribe be able to save them? After Connie realizes that she has feelings for Aarav will she be able to let herself take a chance at happiness she never thought would be possible? This is the 8th book in the Soulmate Shifters in Mystery series but it can be read as a stand alone (I did). I definitely feel like I would have gotten the most from it if I had read the first 7 but it was still great by itself and didn't leave any confusion. I think I'll have to go back and get the rest of the series now! It was an excellent read.

This story follows Aarav and Connie. Aarav has known that Connie was his soul match for a while but can tell that she has some fear of men. He has decided to take it slow. He Brings her coffee everyday and makes sure things around her house are fixed when needed. He is patient and not pushing. Connie has a real fear of men due to her past and being sold to Sex traffickers and being tortured. Aarav has told her she shines with the Soul Call and has called her Mine but she still shy's away. Aarav gets a call that there are lost children in the mountains and he starts looking for them. Connie wants to help and goes with. She is super nervous to be alone with him so they have some friends go with. She starts to feel the pull with Aarav and gets more and more comfortable with him. Things progress through the story. This is a wonderful Love story between fated mates. If you love shifter romance books you will love this one.

Connie has had a rough past, and is scarred both inside and outside, not to mention she is terrified of being along with any man, let alone the lion shifter claiming to be her "mate". Aarav has seen the 'soul call' in Connie, but she refuses to give in to the temptation of having a future with someone, and since he knows about her past trauma, he waits patiently for her to change her mind. When two teens go missing, Connie and Aarav work together, and they begin to grow closer, forcing Connie to realize what has been right in front of her all along, her feelings for the lion shifter.

Deputy Aarav *lion shifter* loves Connie and has to help her see they are fated to be to gether. Krystal does it again. There is so much love, romance, sizzling hot inter play between the characters that they seem to come to life. Book 8 in this series is a stand alone but reads so much better if you read all of them. This is an awesome addition to the series and a now i have to wait for the next book in this series to see where its going.. I can't wait.

Once again Krystal has given me a book that draws me in from almost the first page a book that is made by the characters and the situations that arise
If you have been reading this series for a while then you know it is centered around Mystery Alaska a town where the secret of shifters came to light when they saved the life of two teenagers now the townsfolk both shifter and human live together peacefully You have probable also been waiting for the story of Connie this woman saw men at their worst and now all she does is survive but what she doesn't know is that Deputy Aarav who is also a lion shifter knows that she is the one for him. Can he help her get over her fears and can they have a future together You will have to read to see

Swoon! I just love Aarav! Connie was broken- that's how she saw herself. Her home and her heart was Mystery, Alaska. The town EMT and only medical personnel, she was responsible for everyone, for births, for emergencies, always taking care of everyone else. Buy who takes care of her? Aarav feels the soul call. He takes care of Connie, from afar. She longs for touch but can't handle it from anyone. But she feels the pull to him....Can he be the one to break through and help her heal, but yes? But only if she'll let him in.....Another fabulous shifter romance in the Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska by Krystal Shannan. It didn't say much about what happened in her past just barely touched on it. And he never did get 2 talk 2 his bros and get sum answers 2 questions that he needed answers 2 asap!! She has been through hell in her past its understandable why she doesn't want 2 b around men without a female there 2. It was awesome that he took his x with her and it's kinda funny that it seems like his lion got more attention than he did lol. But it was awesome what they did and accomplished in a short amount of x unlike the others in the town. I sooooo hope there's a LOT more like books 4 all his bros. And the new surprise that showed up unexpectedly.

I’m loving this series even though I hadn’t read all of the books, I love the descriptions, the action, adventure, suspense, danger, drama, passion and so much more that will keep you entertained and turning the pages and this is Connie’s and Arav’s story. Connie is very fearful of men especially after what happened to her and Arav knows how scared of men she is he is patient and caring, Arav knows that Connie a human is his mate so he takes things real slow but will it be enough for Connie to love and trust Arav?. Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

The eighth book in the series. I do highly suggest reading the first few book in order to get a better understanding of who the shifters are and where they come from. This story brings Connie and Aarav together. But don’t think that this is an instant love story. Connie has a secret past that doesn’t allow her to trust easily. For Aarav he would wait forever for her and do anything to make her happy. Even if it meant staying away. But the town of Mystery has a way of joining together like one big family. And when a disaster happens that is what they do. But can the secret of the shifters last with such a close knit town?

It’s hard to review a book without giving massive spoilers so I’ll keep it fairly simple.
This is a world we have all been invested in and characters we have grown attached to so when you have a character who has some massive trauma behind her you wonder how it’ll be handled. More about Connie makes sense and Aarav is the perfect mate for her. He is so kind and patient and very observant.
With underlying stress about Connie and missing teenagers he manages to keep himself together and it’s very impressive.
This was an easy and enjoyable read!

More about Connie makes sense and Aarav is the perfect mate for her. He is so kind and patient and very observant.
With underlying stress about Connie and missing teenagers he manages to keep himself together and it’s very impressive.
This was an easy and enjoyable read!

Lion Conquers All
The old saying is "Love Conquers All" but in this story it will be "Lion Conquers All". What Aarav has to conquer will not be easy. It will take lots of patience and time. Luckily Aarav has both and knows Connie is more than worth it. What happened to Connie in the past would drive a lot of people over the edge. This tells me that Connie is a lot braver and stronger than she thinks. I have enjoyed all the stories in this series but this one may be my favorite.

loved it !!! love this series !!! love Connie and Aarav... this is their story... a fast paced action packed drama... Aarav has patience with his soul mate Connie... Connie fears all males...Aarav is kind and everything nice... they work together... when teens go missing on the mountain with a blizzard coming.. they go out looking for them... they have to shelter in a cabin together...what happens when Connie tells her story ? will Aarav still want her ? such a good story...

In this instalment we see lion shifter Aarav find and protect his mate, Connie, the only way he can.
We certainly are taken on a ride with these two.
It's a very emotional roller-coaster as the each navigate to their final HEA destination.
Aarav is a spectacular hero, sexy and gentle and would do anything for his mate. Connie just needed to see it for herself.
A fabulous addition to the series.

This is the eight book in the "Soulmate Shifters" set in the small town of Mystery, Alaska. It is a fast paced stand alone read with action, adventure and fated mates. This one is about Connie and Aarav. They both work together at the Sheriff's office. The attraction between them is off the charts. However, she has been through a lot and feels broken so she does not want to string him along. He is patient and waits for her knowing she is his mate. This is an emotional roller coaster read with some action, suspense, passion and love.

Aarav has known Connie is his soulmate for eight months, but Connie’s horrific past makes her unable to even contemplate the idea of a relationship. Aarav simply watches her from afar and does whatever he can to make life easier for her. His unfailing gentleness and patience have begun to endear him to Connie, and when an emergency happens she realizes how much she really cares. The people of Mystery, Alaska, work together during this emergency and the Tribe shifters become even more entwined in the town. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

She is trying to deal with the trauma she has been through and he is so patient with her. You can tell he is understanding of what she went through and fears men. He moves really slow with her. Great characters and story. This is the first book I have read in the series so I am going to go back and mark the others tbr.

Absolutely delightful read. This book is a slow burn romance. And I do not usually like that, but the characters were so amazing I barely noticed that it took a while for Aarav and Connie to truly get together. Connie's past is filled with pain and is the reason that she has trust issues and has "walls" built around her.

Aarav and Connie's story is one where you have to appreciate the value of patience. Aarav knows that Connie's his soul mate but she has a fear of men, who wouldn't after being trafficked and tortured? He's not going to let that stop him, he's going to take time, go slow, build trust and hopefully win her heart. He's going to do anything and everything he can, but will it be enough? An emotional slow burn Love story between fated mates. Fans of shifter romance books are sure to love this one.
