Atticus Heisler is a man who knows what he wants, and how to get it. As the owner of Heisler Security, he's familiar with intrigue and danger; as a Master of Avalon, he's learned the intricacies of the submissive mind, and what makes a sub quiver. But underneath the mask of contentment is a loneliness he's not sure will ever go away.
Resigned to a life of watching his closest friends find their perfect matches, Atticus does what he does best—help those who need his assistance.
Paralyzed from the waist down when she was just a kid, Alicia McGee has a history she doesn't share with many. With her parents' blood on her hands, a life where no one wants her, and a disability that turns her into a burden to everyone, she is prepared to die, alone and unloved.
When Atticus comes to her rescue, the unspoken crush she has on him sparks into something more. As secrets unravel and her past spirals into the present, can the impossible become possible in the arms of a Daddy Dom?
After Talk For Me,i was left with a deep need to see what happened to Alicia. That poor girl had been through só much, had suffered for só long…. I needed to know she was in a good place, surrounded by the people that love her. Even if she didn’t believe she had anyone that cared, she did,and they were coming for her!
Atticus was done. Alicia had kept everyone away before, but now she was in the Handicapable Rehabilitation facility,no one seemed to know how she was doing, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it! Seeing the state she was in,the lack of care,in fact the neglect and frankly abuse, she’d had to suffer,he needed a second to calm down…. He sent a couple of foto’s to Archie with the demand to get the authorities involved, and then he was getting her out of there. Taking her home, where she’d be safe and cared for,by him. Knowing everyone in the Avalon family would want to rush over,he asked for a little time to get his princess settled. Getting her cleaned up,giving her her own space,as well as a stuffy to hold onto, was only the start. Bit by agonizing bit,he broke down the walls that she’d built over the years. Showing her he was there to stay, that he wouldn’t harm her in any way. That her family loved her,and really wanted to see her,may have been hard to believe for Lisha, but it was true, and they all showed her when they were given the chance.
Slowly, but surely, the beauty that was his little princess started to shine through the cracks. But her ordeal wasn’t over yet…..there were people out there that still wanted to harm his girl. They’d have to kill him first though, because he’d be damned if he’d let them! Plus, finding out what her parents had made her believe all those years was a shock to all of them. Only this time, there was light at the end of the tunnel….
Like the stories before this one,it shook me,hurt me,made me smile, and made me want to kill people. I loved how sweet and patient Atticus was with Alicia. That big Daddy Bear was everything she needed, and she was everything he’d ever hoped to have. And how Alicia started to blossom under his care. Her strenght was astounding, her innocence so incredibly sweet. The evil things some people are capable of was awful to witness, and i was glad they got what they deserved. In the end,all was well….including Bodie and Braun!
I have been patiently waiting for Atticus's story and it was spectacular and better than I could have ever dreamed. My heart has been aching for Alicia and the horrors she has had to endure. Her past is unfathomable, and filled with terrible and unthinkable events that made me cry for her and with her. Atticus has always had a special place in my mind through these Club Avalon stories. With his huge heart and his tenacious drive to protect his Avalon family, he is the epitome of a gentle Grizzly bear. Kay Elle Parker has created beautiful characters who achingly push through the negative and devastating circumstances of their lives with grace and a strong support network. 6 beautiful stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m not sure where to start with my review. I’m a bit of an emotional mess, as I can’t stop crying and in awe of this author so much so that I am completely invested in this story. The Club Avalon series is one of my top favorite BDSM series, and this story just proves why. I met Atticus in this series and instantly fell in love with him. Yes, he is all Dominant, and is a Daddy Dom, but his kindness, patience, caring, loving ways for his Avalon family is what made me love his character. He will do anything to protect those he loves. But he needs someone in his life who loves him back with the same fierceness. He needs a submissive, a little, and when he goes to help Alicia, I just knew she had to be the one.
Alicia was introduced to us in this series as Bodie’s sister, who is confined to a wheelchair from an accident in her youth. She has weathered unfathomable heartache and abuse in her life and feels she will never be loved or part of a family. So when Atticus goes to get her out of a horrible situation, you could just feel in your soul that somehow, someway, these two needed each other. Alicia needs a strong person to help her overcome the horrible things she has suffered through, and Daddy Atticus is just the right person.
What I love about this series is how each story is intertwined with the others. New stories pop up and old ones are closed. These characters may not all be related by blood, but they are a family like no other. They will help Atticus with whatever he needs to show Alicia she is loved. My heart hurt so many times for what Alicia has been thru, but I could see so many glimmers of hope for her to overcome her demons. She is a survivor, she is resilient and she is loved.
This story is not for the feint of heart and there were times I cringed, and times I bawled my eyes out, but I can say unequivocally that this story is my absolute favorite of this series. An absolute brilliant story of which will forever be in my heart and soul.
Ok sorry, that slipped out.. This man had my heart from day one.. I love him and I love these two together. What an emotional journey this series has been. I mean each book has just been this emotional roller coaster and it just keeps getting better and better. I honestly don't know how Kay does it. As a reader, this series is just pure magic.
This story broke me down in all the right ways and then made sure that I was put back together again.
I have loved Atticus since we first met him. He is just so protective, caring, loyal, and careful of everyone he knows. He may do mercenary kinds of things for work, and he may be ruthless at work, but the thing is, he's not like that in his personal life or in the club. In fact, he is the typical Daddy dom. He wants to Daddy everyone.
I have to admit, I didn't like Alicia in the last book, but I think that was more the circumstances, and seeing what her actions were doing to Connie. But whether I liked her or not, she didn't deserve what happened to her in the beginning of the book. As the book went on and I learned more about her, I started to like her more. That started from the very first page, so that was good.
I was just knocked out by Att's and Lisha's story, and I am looking forward to seeing more of them throughout the following books.
My God what an emotional and the most beautiful story of survival and strength, courage and feelings I think I have ever read. Atticus and Alicia have captured my whole heart ,Master of Avalon and a Daddy he is the most lovable understanding sweetest man ever and I loved him. He picked Alicia up was patient and so understanding as she went through the horrors of her life and brought her to life.
Alicia was beautiful everything about her the Author catches every little detail and brings their story to life and some will break you to pieces and destroy you like a stab to the heart, so much emotion as the demons of her past come to life.
This is so well written there are no words to describe it it is phenomenal and the Avalon family yes their all there and it is wonderful the support they give each other is breathtaking to say the least. I loved them so so much and I don't think I could forget them if I tried that's how good this is.
What an amazing story. Atticus and Alicia were everything I knew they’d be and so much more. This series just keeps getting better and better. Kay Elle Parker continues to captivate me and leave me speechless. I absolutely cannot wait for Loki, Liam and Saul’s stories!!
I have been loving this series and have been anxiously anticipating this book and it simply blew me away!!! Atticus and Alicia's story is the perfect combination of achingly beautiful, powerfully poignant and scorching hot. These two gave me major feels, epic swoon and left me breathless. Remarkable characters that are sinfully easy to love and a taut, emotional storyline make this an incredible read that should be on the very top of your TBR pile. I am electing to post a candid review.
Gross H. He schedules a threesome with the couple from the last book and tells h about and she cries. This makes him feel guilty I guess so he cancels it. The thing he regrets is telling the h about it, not having scheduled it in the first place.
This book is just soooo much! Just the right combination of broken little girl and strong supportive Daddy Dom, with some suspense thrown in for a great story line. There wasn't as much spicy sexy time in this book as in previous ones, but it also wasn't needed, as it wouldn't have fit the story. I love that Atticus got his HEA 😁 Please tell me there are more books in the works?
This is the fourth entry in the BDSM Club Avalon series. Because all the characters and major lines of action appeared in previous books, it's not a standalone. Here we get Daddy Dom Atticus and Alicia, a young woman with a disability. Though she's drawn to Atticus, can she open herself up to him after a lifetime of abuse?
This was difficult to rate because though I liked some parts, I hated others. Let me start with the positives. Atticus is a dream Daddy: patient, kind, protective, understanding, and one who will do anything for his girl. I particularly appreciated the emphasis on consent; the care he took regarding possible triggers; and that he admitted when he was wrong. I also liked Alicia's inner strength and wry -- often unintentional -- humor. Other positives include the therapy (I hate books that present BDSM as a magic-bullet cure), the naturalistic dialogue, and the error-free prose (some continuity errors exist, but nothing glaring).
But, I hated three aspects. First is the author's self-indulgent deep dive into torture porn -- something she's done with every book. I realize that many readers exult in the graphic sadistic melodrama; I just roll my eyes (and wonder how the two girls even managed to survive to adulthood). The second is that we never got an actual . Lastly, and most importantly, this book is steeped in Ableism, including , harmful ableist language, and common portrayals of the disabled as pitiable tragic "props." Many erotic authors use disability solely for their D/s Cinderella narratives and I can't tell you how off-putting and disrespectful that is to the disabled community. If authors haven't, I encourage them to do research. I also didn't appreciate the stereotypical depiction of POC.
2 1/2 stars. I wish I could have rated this more highly because I really did like the MC. Some lines of action remain unresolved and the next book features a character we haven't seen much of. I'm not sure I'll continue with the series; I've pretty much had my fill of Ms. Parker's endless iterations of the Book of Job(ette).
Totally Immersed in this story, it was AWESOME. There was so much detail in this relationship between Atticus and Alicia, he had her number right from when he picked her up from the facility. "Three little wishes, and none of them came true." She didn't know it then, but Att would make them come true, she just had to trust him. It was like a mine field to go through, every time she made an improvement, two more problems were put in her path. Alicia had strength, strength that she did not realize that she had. The family of Avalon is very supportive and they provided insight when the main characters needed it. Loved too much wine, A game, Russians giving gifts, six inches more, "manginas", Liam! It was a really well written book, got me deep down in all kinds of different emotions, suspense, humor, and hot scenes. Totally, totally recommend this book and this series.
How does Ms Parker do it? From the very first book in this series I was hooked. And then came the other ones and I couldn't believe the intensity of each and every one. No slack, no repeats, just dedication to every pairing with relentless passion. And now there is Atticus! The unofficial bulwark of Avalon, the huge heart open for anyone in need and fierce opponent to any force threatening his "family". Following a visit to Alicia's care home Att takes her home and under his wing. In a series of earth shattering revelations the hell of her past and present jumble together. The mundane, everyday necessities and careful maneuvering around the many triggers of a developing DD/lg relationship are by turns achingly sweet and horrifically terrifying. And Atticus Heisler is the one holding all the strings in his hands, weaving them into a strong rope of trust and love binding them together until a blissful combustion one evening at Avalon and beyond.
This book was just freaking mind blowing! It had all the feels! Rips your heart to shreds one minute and laughing and crying the next.
Daddy Atticus was the best ever. Such a giant teddy bear of a man. He was everything Lisha needed. Stern when she needed, soft, supportive and so damn encouraging at all times with her.
Lisha... that little girl was so damn strong after everything she had been thru and never saw it at all. In denial about so much of what hurt her and how it effected her. So damn strong dealing with it all and coming into herself and learning to ask for what she needs and wants instead of just pushing it all down and burying it.
Absolutely amazing story. Keep your tissues handy you will most certainly needed it for this story. I can't wait for the next story in this series.
Thought I was going to die waiting for book #4 of Ms. Parker's Avalon Club series. It did NOT disappoint! Every word, every sentence, every page was charged with words put together as only KEP can do.
Avalon Master Dom Atticus was born to be a Daddy .. not just anyone's daddy, but Alicia's Daddy. Alicia was born to be a money making piece of garbage by her totally despicable parents. No one needed a Daddy like this neglected, traumatized, abused, and thrown away girl did. It was love at first sight, even though circumstances could not have been more horrendous when they met.
I cried. I got angry. I rejoiced. I loved. And I totally adored this book. I don't know how KEP does it. She weaves a story like a fine loomed cloth. Ten stars ♡
Let me just say Atticus & Alisha, what a dynamic. I waited for this story, and boy did it deliver. My emotions were on alert from Chapter 1 through to the end. It had all the feels. I love how Atticus approached the care and techniques needed to help his Little thrive and heal. Alisha learns how to love herself, how to find herself, what she needed to survive. Her selflessness to have her Daddy help a friend, was sweet even though it would make her heart ache. This book was well written. Kept me pulled in and I loved every chapter.
This book!!!!! To be honest, I'm still dealing with my book hangover from reading this brilliantly written story. If you follow Kay Elle Parker, you've probably been waiting for Atticus's story. From the very first page, I couldn't stop reading and even though it took me a couple of days to read it (life sucks at times) this story broke my heart and then put it back together! Atticus and Alicia were so perfect for each other and I loved the way that he pushed her but at the same time, cherished her! This book was everything I hoped it would be and so much more!! Loved seeing all the other characters from the previous books. DON'T MISS THIS BOOK!!!
Good story but I just couldn’t love it like the others. This is starting to be like Outlander where everyone has drama big drama and no one can stay happy for long. Everyone seems to have a way traumatic past and I’m talking WAY. I know it’s a story of over coming and strength I get that but how much bad can happen to one person. Between Bodicea and Alicia it’s like a how many bad awful things can I think of to happen. Very exhausting at times.
It’s a good story I just didn’t get the pull between the H and the h. Daddy kink to the hilt.
Just couldn’t get into this one. I love Atticus I wanted him to find happy. I know he did but I just don’t get the pull between him and Alicia. I don’t get it. He is a worldly man and to have pull toward a waif like girl that was well his junior with no experiences…don’t get it at all. Again everyone made bad choices and others suffered for it. I get he like to be the daddy but this is like a 24/7 deal. Don’t you want to sit down and have adult conversations? They are daddy/ little constantly. Irritating to me and not in Atticus’ personality to me . Oh well
Again the series is one disaster after another how much bad can happen to one person. It gets tiring.
This one deeply deeply impacted me as only Ms Parker is able to do. Take letters of the alphabet & turn them into words, sentences, pages that miraculously turn into a full color movie in your mind (at least for me). That magically create characters that engender the readers devotion, love, hate, that have the ability to reach into your chest & command total control of your helpless heartstrings. A beautifully & superbly written story that lures the reader in seductively, takes one away from 'here' deep into Club Avalon & it's members, Doms, Dommes & submissives. Ms. Parker's writing enables the reader to 'feel', 'hear' & experience what her characters do: the good, the bad, the heartbreaking AND the heartwarming. Stalwart Heroes that we long to know, as well as submissives that have inner strength & spines of steel even if they don't realize it at first. Alicia & Atticus' story is a beautiful slow burn, Alicia is so broken, so hopeless, so wasting away. And Atticus is a physically huge, professionally lethal, highly intelligent Dom whose physical presence hides the stern but intensely loving & supportive Daddy Dom just below the surface. And he is DETERMINED Alicia will realize her life is far from over, that she IS a strong brave survivor, that there ARE people who love & care for her. And Atticus will not accept failure on his part. An utterly wonderful uplifting romance with sizzle, heart & most of all, love. And I loved every single word of it.
I adore Atticus, Daddicus to me, he could be that adorable cuddly teddy bear on the book's cover. His care, love and patience makes this book what it is. Alicia deserved the type of man that she got in Atticus, he was perfect for her. After her heartbreaking childhood and horrific parents, Atticus was everything to and for her. Addicus was lonely and needed a little girl to love and care for and even more, he needed someone to love him just as strongly in return. This is a book I will reread, just to get all the feels all over again. I LOVED THIS BOOK! A handy box of tissues are needed too.
Oh I have so been waiting for Master Atticus and his little’s story since about the time i read Dance With Me and after reading this I fell I love with him all over again…. This story like the others have so many emotional highs and lows, twists and suspense, and slow building hotness that will melt your heart as Atticus rescues Alicia from an ultimate neglectful situation and slowly rebuilds her trust and confidence with all the tenderness and protectiveness a daddy can give.. I love how everyone from the Avalon family comes together to help and support Atticus and Alicia And just like the previous Avalon books make sure you have a box of tissues handy as you will definitely be needing them..
I have been anxious for Addicus's story since book one - Dance For Me - and it was well worth the wait.
This book....Oh, this book. This was everything.
Slow burn usually isn't my thing but the chemistry and magnetism Alicia and Addicus have are worth the long journey. They grow together, change each other for the better, and just prove that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
I will be rereading this book again just so I can relive the magic.
A thousand stars for another amazing and wonderful book by Kay Elle Parker!!
Atticus has felt for Alica since he first saw her and come to find out she has felt the same. This story picks up a few months after the completion of Connie's story and involves a continuing story from the first Club Avalon book. Alica is Bodie's wheelchair-bound sister who killed their parents in self-defense and this is the story of her healing. Kay does not skimp on details or backstory and this book has both. It is a beautiful story of healing and learning to love yourself. This story has trigger warnings and Alica's abuse is mixed in throughout multiple parts of the story, it would be hard to skip over the way it is mixed in. Daddy/little stories are not my cup of tea and while there is this element in the story, I did not feel as though it dominated the plot or the story as a whole, it was more of the background element of Alica and Atticus' relationship.
This group of characters is a true family. In the prior books of this series many have found their “special one”. Alicia is Bodie’s sister. A prisoner in a wheelchair - she was abused by their parents. Living with Connie was creating an issue, so as a ‘break’ Alicia is sent to a rehab facility.
When Atticus visits he is horrified at the conditions Alicia is facing. He decides to take matters into his own hands and care for her. A beautiful journey of survival and romance. A fabulous teddy bear, important aftershave and special pancakes. There is humor, tragedy and the struggle for survival.
Heart-wrenching and Heart-warming all in one special story.
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
That Alicia has managed to retain this amount of innocence after everything she's gone through is just amazing. And I was so happy that Atticus finally found himself a princess to lavish with love - and lavish he does! And Mr Bear!
As with all of this author's books, I wasn't ready to say good bye when I was done - so I turned back to page 1 and started reading again.
OMG. I so loved this book. Liked how it was a long book to read and not short. Love DD\LG. I GIVE this book more than 5 stars. Any more of these in future?
What a journey I have been on..I seemed to have cried, laughed, cried some more then been shocked and eventually had the biggest smile ever on my face.
I like this book because it was a good read. Some of the things that make it a good read for me is if it's a great story, which this is. And if the pace is smooth and fast, which this is. And if the editing has been gone over thoroughly so it has a very few if any mistakes, which I didn't see any in this. For all in all is a really good book a really good read and I'll buy more from this author.
What a ride this story takes you on! Experienced almost every emotion from tears to laughter and so much Sizzle! Avalon masters and Subs feel like old friends and I can't wait to see what happens next!
