Jayda and Zander leave Washington, DC, and return to Albuquerque, satisfied that they have completed their mission for President Jackson. They are bursting with joy for the unborn child Jayda carries and are keen to share the news of their blessing with those they love: Abe, Emilio, Zander’s parents, his sister, Izzie, and Dr. Bickel.
The couple can finally let down their guard: No enemies stalk them and no plots to overthrow the nation peer at them from beyond the horizon. They relax into a normal life—as “normal” as life with the nanomites can be—finding work, making a home, renewing relationships with their church family at Downtown Christian Center, growing in their faith, spending time with family, and looking forward to the birth of their child around the first week of April.
Their “normal” life doesn’t last long.
The nanomites—ever vigilant and alert to the virtual world—become increasingly uneasy. They are unable to “put their fingers on” the source of their agitation, but whatever is happening? It is happening globally.
And the nanomites repeatedly tell Jayda and Zander, Jesus has told us to protect you and the child. He says you have important work ahead of you. It is our job to watch over and safeguard your family.
What is the "important work" Jesus wants of Jayda and Zander ? Why has Jesus spoken to the nanomites about this work, but not to them? And why are the nanomites increasingly alarmed for their safety?
Vikki Kestell’s passion for people and their stories is evident in her readers’ affection for her characters and unusual plotlines. Two often repeated sentiments are, "I feel like I know these people," and "I'm right there, in the book, experiencing what her characters experience."
Vikki holds a PhD in organizational learning and instructional technologies. She left a career of twenty-plus years in government, academia, and corporate life to pursue writing full time. "Writing is the best job ever," she admits.
Also an accomplished speaker and teacher, Vikki and her husband, Conrad Smith, make their home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Vikki, through Jesus you’ve done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed every word in this book. I especially loved that the Word of God was strewn throughout the pages and you picked up from Book 4 with such ease. Thank you for the lessons, teachings, and reminders to trust in the inerrancy of the Word. Yes, you mentioned this is a book of fiction, but my dear, truth rings loud. May the Lord richly bless you, and every reader as well.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series thus far but I found this book in the series just ok. I feel like the retribution and deep state stealth were tough acts to follow and this book kinda fell short for me. I’m not a fan of bringing the current pandemic irl into a book I’m reading but I rolled with it. Hopefully the next one in the series will be a good bit of read to redeem this one.
Superb book in the Stealth saga. Sander and Jayda, along with the Nanomites
Battle is amazing and this book is fabulous. Such a great encouragement of faith in Jesus. If I didn't already believe...! I found myself wishing that the Nanomites were real.
This is really an amazing exceptional Christian contemporary techno-thriller. It’s Truly one of the best I’ve ever read, and I’ve read and reviewed a lot. This is top-rate redemptive fiction…highly recommended.
I always learn something new every time I read Vikki 's books. This one is my favorite so far and I have to wait several months for the next But, it will be worth the wait!? Thank you,Vikki, for showing.the love and power of God through your writing!
I read Nanostealth books 1-5 in a week's time and LOVED this series, but I have to say I found Stealth Insurgence an incredible book.
Vicki Kestell is a talented author and this series is riveting. In Stealth Insurgence, we see further development of the characters as they find themselves in situations very different than in the previous books. There is no predictability here.
I was happily surprised how the characters were able to share Scripture and important truths in such a natural way that engages readers, teaches without being preachy, and challenges the "listener" to dig deeper.
The author isn't afraid to tackle really difficult topics and does so exceedingly well, even giving readers the tools to navigate contemporary issues with a Biblical worldview. Highly recommend!
I’ve read every published book by Vikki Kestell and this one is the absolute best! It can stand alone or reading the whole series can answer some questions about the characters. It’s the past, it’s the present and it’s the future. And it’s your decision on how you respond as an unbeliever, a seeker or a believer in Jesus the one and only way to eternal life.
I have read the other 4 novels in this series, and they were very good.... This also, started out as very good...
BUT THEN
Around page 26 or so
It went into the stratosphere, and stayed there ( in my opinion!!!)
There is just too much 'excellence '. to try to write about, I would have to write a novel myself haha.
She wove into the storyline, so much concerning our times and how to deal with it all, from a Christian, Biblical, and godly world view!
It was so on point!
And yes, it had scriptures, prayers, and sermons etc.
If anyone has ever read one of my reviews then you know, I am so over the top frustrated when 'other' Christians reviews state:
"It was not preachy".
I honestly do not understand why they would say that? is it for the non-believers? Do they hope this mantra will interest them into reading Christian novels?
What part of God's word, in this verse should be avoided?
PREACH the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 2 Timothy 4:2
Well the author does this! (has God's word included throughout the novel) and I, for one, give her a super A++++++ 100% for doing so.... and doing it so superbly!!!
I think it was the best I have ever read, concerning our Days and time in a CHRISTIAN novel
If someone just wants a clean book ( no swearing, no lurid sexual scenes etc.) book to read there are secular books that would fit the bill.
But, in my opinion, a 'CHRISTIAN' novel ought to have:
Verses sermons prayers preaching and being 'preachy'
Or why call it CHRISTIAN?????
Anyway, this was the cat's meow! It was so so so good. Off the charts
I cried, and laughed, and agreed with so much of the preaching!
Perfect for the 'morals' or more likely, the lack there of and misunderstandings like being a 'victim' blaming others thinking others are filled will all manner of privileges etc. etc. etc.
in our days ...
The devil has deceived so many people about so many things.
And the nanomites continue to grow. They are believers in Jesus now and obey Him.
There is just no way, I can even begin to explain how good this novel is!!
This book has a bit of everything. Mystery, intrigue, evil, murder, romance, love and even a bit of humor. It’s also a very inspirational book.
It can be a stand alone read, but you’ll get the most out of it if you read the Nanostealth books one through four first.
You’re fortunate that the first five books have already been published. I had to wait on book five and I’ve already pre-ordered book six.
I’m a voracious reader, but I rarely buy books. I had to buy nano five and six. Usually I receive books from authors and publishers to review. The rest of the time I read Amazon freebies.
Thank you, Ms Kestell, for writing books that engage me so fully. I certainly hope you keep writing books about Jayda, Zander and the nanos for a very long time. Please keep the series going.
Wow! Zander and Jayda are home preparing for baby Cruz. You would think this is going to be a easy relaxing read. Nope! There is every kind of emotion waiting to be poured over in the pages of the book. They have to deal with evil trying to take over their church, and a pandemic hits worldwide, along with corruption being uncovered by the nano clouds that is in ever branch of the government that reaches worldwide. Then the death of a dear mentor. I'm exhausted with all the emotions I've experienced while finishing the book. Best part is Jesus is front and center, being shared for all to meet the Savior. I loved this series, and this book is awesome. If you like mystery, and intrigue, you can't go wrong with this book. I highly recommend 'Stealth Insurgence '.
God's Word delivered straight forward and unashamed!
I have read this series over a period of maybe 5-7 years. The plot is great for those of us who love futuristic, technological books. The characters have grown and matured as each book progressed. The Biblical portion of the plot is right on and very close to today's current events. The Word of God is not watered down and it's Truth is right there for everyone to read. There is suspense, danger, close relationships, twists and turns that keep you reading long past the time you should have put the book down, but so well with it!
This book starts off with an admonition to remember that it is fiction. Boy howdy, was that a good idea! Ms. Kestrel took on some of the biggest issues of our day and reminded us of the best way to respond to them - with the peace and love of the Lord.
As another exciting story in this series, it kept me up late until I finished it. I couldn’t stop reading because I just had to know what happened next. This book and its author might get canceled, but I am so encouraged and convicted to speak the truth boldly in love and trust the Lord to provide. And now I must buy the next book in the series. My sleep will suffer, but my spirit is being fed.
"This is a work of fiction. Repeat that to yourself as you read..."
A work of fiction yes, but the battle for the Church, America, our world view is real and current. In Stealth Insurgence we walk with Jayda & Zander Cruz as they face head on the same struggles, questions and concerns facing us all.
Thank you Vikki Kestell for being willing to shine the Light of God's Word on dark practices that are becoming commonplace in our country and world today.
Every time I read one of Vikki Kestell's novels I come away built up in my faith. I can think of no higher praise.
Being book five in a series of six I would of course recommend going back to start at book one if you have not already done so.
As in all of her writings, the characters in Stealth Insurgence are intriguing and her plot lines are well thought out. I've read all of her novels and look forward to each new addition.
I highly recommend this and in fact all of her books!
I just finished book 5 Stealth Insurgence. WOW! This last book was amazing! All of Vikki Kestell books that I have read are great but I have to say this #5 reached down inside my spirit in such a way that left me so hungry for more of Jesus. The words in the Prologue "This book is a work of fiction" kept coming back to me but the book is so parallel to what is going on in today's world it had me calling out to Jesus. I pray that anyone reading these books realizes their need for Jesus and accepts him. I know Jesus is coming back soon.
Quite moving each book & havingultiple subplots. Truly a literary artist with a grand imagination. If Dick Tracy comics were a prophecy of future technology as it seems to be, with many of his gadgets in common use today. Why not the dangerous nanomites. Thank God they pledged allegiance to King Jesus & not mankind, their goal is to fight evil not to.join evil. Great series. Waiting for June to arrive.
I started with expectations of another story of high tech political intrigue but found a story of very different content. The beginning chapters seemed slow but were well justified as they built a foundation for the revealing of the bigger story. Really fascinating how VK has developed the relationship and technical capabilities of the ‘nanos’. Excited to read ‘Triumph’ in June.
This is by far the best fiction book I have read in a very long time. I love the warning Mrs. Kestell gives in the beginning of the book as I had to remind myself of it over and over as I read. I truly felt I was sitting in the DCC church as Zander taught. It was the most truthful sermon I had "heard" in a long while and I couldn't get enough. Very well written. I cannot recommend this series enough! Get it! Read it! You will not be disappointed!
After reading this book, my husband said that Kestell "went from preaching to meddling." :-) If you are not a follower of Jesus, you might not like this book. It's fiction, but fiction taken from the life we've all experienced over the past couple of years. I thought it was well written and worth reading.
If you like speculative fiction written with a solid Christian worldview, I highly recommend this series, as well as her Laynie Portland Spy series. Every book kept my interest and I kept wishing someone would make all of these books into movies. Profound, interesting, intriguing, and uplifting.
I have enjoyed reading this series, which started as a sci-fi story. I can accept the Christian and biblical passages when they are secondary to the main themes of the story. This is not so, in this book, so although I have given it four stars, I will not be reading the next book.
VikkI Kestell's 5th book in the Nanostealth series, Stealth Insurgence, brings some powerful Bible preaching & teaching plus real world trauma of planned epidemic, man's greed, and worldwide natural disasters. Can't wait to read book six!l
The premise of nanomites seems like it would be quite unbelievable, but the author weaves a credible and engaging storyline throughout the series. The series is best enjoyed starting with the prequel book and continuing through to the end. Enjoy!
This is an excellent novel that fully encompasses the wicked world we live in and how through Jesus we can be overcomers. Jada has her baby in this novel and Zander becomes a pastor.
This has been the best book in the series because it has given me personal encouragement to trust Jesus more. This particular book in this series focuses more on the characters relationships with family and with Jesus. It is Very relevant to modern life.
