I have read many books on self help genre though it is certainly not my preferred category but I generally pick them when I feel low or stressed out. I come across this book while scrolling down randomly on amazon and there was something fascinating in the title that enchanted me. To my astonishment ,this book turned out to be way more informative than I expected it to be and not a typical motivational novel.

The entire book is centered on the theme of Perception. It is quite an intriguing abstract concept and a part of everyone's everyday lives. When we meet a stranger whether at workplace or in our personal life we sometimes do feel that connect that we generally term as Positive Vibes. But what is it exactly? Nothing but how we perceive our feelings related to that specific being. The kind of aura created by the mere presence of an individual can make us feel at ease or severely at discomfort. All of this mostly happen knowingly or unknowingly due to the eccentric image that we create beforehand .And this intricately researched work further delve deep into this science.

The best part about this amazing book is whatever author has stated, he has complimented it with practical examples and case studies which increases the relatibility factor by various notches. The cover is quite creative and how meaningful and apt it is can only be understood after reading the book. It definitely challenged my notions about certain things and after completing this I can admit that I learned a lot especially how important it is to have a positive image amongst your peer and in general.

Overall a stellar work and everyone will get something out of it.

A strong positive image reflects a sense of trust and integrity and has the ability to have an impact on several aspects such as success, career etc. It takes investment of time and energy to build an image which forms one's identity. How others perceive one's image depends on how one presents himself.

The Missing 'I' in my image by Manish Temani is a self-help book that talks about the lesser spoken topic "Perception Management ". The author starts with explaining the meaning of Perception and further goes on to explain how it can be managed with simple techniques, so as to create an image of oneself to face the competitive world.

The author has included illustrations, flowcharts etc to make it interesting and to help the readers understand it better. I liked the 4 matrix/grid approach, and the case studies used to make it easy for young professionals to grasp them.

A short read that can be finished in one sitting but can leave an impact that will last long enough.

People know you by the image that you have created in front of them and not by who you are in reality. Even an email does matter to make your image as if any email you send on behalf of your organization will also create either a negative image of you or a positive image. It happens once in life that we have not met many people. But the email we send to those people, the same email makes an image of us in the eyes of those people. The most significant thing is that it is also very vital for us to have control over ourselves because it also helps us in forming our image. In this book, the author has given many tips by which we can improve our image and create differently.

If you want to improve your image in your life or your organization, then definitely read this book because I think this book will help you. Because I got to learn a lot from this book.

The Missing "I" in My image
by Manish Temani

This self help book by author Mr Manish Temani who is Indian CA currently working in investment bank at london.

is about the topic Perception Management
i seen very few books available which talk about perception management at core level.

The Road of Success is thr your image

We seen many times we didnt get the deserved oppurtunities in professional life because our superiors , peers doesnt percept in that way.

Like Good Leader , A Motivator, Strong Analytical Skills, High Integrity etc these are some adjectives when people think about you.

What is Perception ?

Why Perception is matters ?

it is a well known aspects of human psychology that everyone has an image of others in our subconscious minds and how we take a decision about a person is heavily dependent on the
perception we have about them.

Perception is even more real than reality

once you make perception about someone you tend to process any new information also in the way that matches the image you have already formed of them and it only leads to that
perception stronger.

How it is managed ?
How it is transmitted ?
What are the techniques to measure it ?
What are the right feedback one should ask for ?

How to know and change your self perception ?

Challenge yourself and step out of comfort zone
Give yourself enough credit
Have a growth mindset
Take time to introspect and reflect on your strengths and weakness

The case studies given are really very good and it help to understand this concept really in better way.
The highlighted quotes, important sentences is quite remarkable

the types of feedback one can take along with there benefits what are the right ways to ask for it.

The Un-attentional Blindless

That is you simply didnt pay attention to some aspects of the action you took and didnt really realize how that might impact others
or how that can be perceived by others.

i found this book is well researched , given with practical examples help readers to mastery in perception management.

🤖The Missing "I" In My Image - Perception Management Skills and Techniques 🤖
By Manish Temani

🖊️This book is a must-read for every leader, regardless of the managerial level. A short read with great knowledge and a wonderful self-help book.

🖊️One of my friends always told me to “trust your gut” when making decisions and that power of perception served me well in all my decisions, later as an engineer, and eventually as a corporate worker.

🖊️What I did not realise, until I read “The Missing "I" In My Image - Perception Management Skills and Techniques ”, was how so many things influence that internal feeling.

🖊️ The magnificent truth that I learn from this book is “It is easy to blame your lot in life on some outside force, to stop trying because you believe fate is against you. It is easy to think that where you were raised, how your parents treated you, or what school you went to is all that determines your future. Nothing could be further from the truth. The common people and the great men and women are all defined by how they deal with life’s unfairness. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, no matter how good you are, you still end up as a sugar cookie. Don’t complain. Don’t blame it on your misfortune. Stand tall, look at the future, and drive on!"

🖊️This is a gem of a book. Packed full of wisdom and big lessons in 132 pages. I read it slowly and took a different lesson daily. This is a book I will return to over and over again. Rather than go on and on about it, I will share Manish's lessons with you, but trust me, you will want to read this book to get the full impact of the lessons.

Totally Recommended!!

"Wherever you go, your image precedes you."
This above line is really true in our life and it highly matters as it can impact our career or life. The image or a perception of a person is the most important thing as sometimes it can be life changing and sometimes it can be devastating and you can lose some great opportunities in your life which can give your career a boost and can take you to new heights of success.

This book is very well penned down and is very helpful for each one of us. I loved how author described each and every detail and he also covered all scenarios related to your Image or Perception and how you can do little things in your life through which you can completely change your Image in front of everyone. This won't happen overnight and also not with the wrong attitude. If you want to bring a change in yourself you first have to accept the faults in yourself and also you have to do hardwork to make things go your way. This book is the guide to the beginning of that.

The author has done a tremendous job by giving all the details and the remedies. The writing style is pretty simple and the language is lucid. Perception is very important these days. And if someone makes an initial perception of you then that is very hard to change. But it's not like you can't change that but it will take a lot of work and sincerity to show that the perception they have of you is different from what you really are. Kudos to the author who worked really hard for this book and I would love to read more of this self developmeny kind of books in the future.

BOOK REVIEW
BOOK - " The missing I in my image "
AUTHOR - " Manish Temani "
GENRE- " Self Help "

We all strive for a happy and successful life. Don't we not ? Each person has a different view about success and have different expectations from themselves. But sometimes due to unknown reasons, we aren't able to reach our set targets even after slogging hard.

I'm sure all of us at some point in life have questioned ourselves that why am I not chosen for a particular post?

I deserve this promotion..

Why are people not friendly towards me or more.

The answer to these questions lie in how people surrounding us perceive about us. As humans, we tend to overlook our discrepancies and feel that we have done a good job. But unfortunately it isn't true most of the time. And to know that our success in career or standing in society depends on what others perceive about us makes it vital to know where we stand among our peers.

This book does exactly that. It isn't like other self help books which tries to drown us in positive quotations ( No harm in that ). This book works on real time basis. It helps us analyze what others perceive about us. Teaches us to overcome the negative perception hindering our way. In short, this is a short read about perception.

The author has included several real life scenarios and case studies coupled with diagrams to help us understand. It was a very interesting read and eye opening too. I will try to imbibe what I have learnt in this book in my real life.

Highly recommended.

This self-help book talks about the utilitarian approaches to managing perception in the workplace. As the title suggests this book imparts the knowledge on the skills and techniques needed for perception management.
This topic has been explained in 17 short chapters that are on point without beating around the bush. The language is simple and easy to follow.
The pictorial conversation, sketches, charts, and tables enhance the reading experience. Case studies present the situation and how it was handled.
The process of perception management is explained in very simple terms that are easy to implement or follow in the workplace. Not only does the author talk about perception management but also helps us understand which perception is needed or those that are not important, and how it affects us and those around us as well.
The author has also explained that it does not happen or change overnight and is rather an art to be able to create the right impression in the minds of people.
Like this, every chapter helps in understanding perception and how to go about it to get the expected results.
The “Afterword” at the end of the book captures the essence of the book as pointers that can be referred to and gives a quick recap of the key messages presented in the previous chapters.
This is a really small book but is packed with so much information that when applied rightly in the workplace will lead to a positive outcome.

The process of perception management is explained in very simple terms that are easy to implement or follow in the workplace.
The main idea of this theory is that we capture a person's behaviour and judge the cause of which is an internal one or an external one to see if it is under the control of the person or the result of the situation. One more interesting point is the halo effect which indicates that we only judge a person by a prominent feature or character of him-we will think low of a person than he should be by a negative behavior and vice versa. To know about this - do grab the book.
Language used in the book is good it's easily. The author has also explained that it does not happen orchange overnight and is rather an art to be able to create the right impression in the minds of people. To know more about inner self and discover a path to achieve it do read this book. Highly recommended.

𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Perception Management (Self-help)

“If there is something missing in your image, take control of it, fix it and let the best version of you be visible to everyone.”

📌𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Have you ever wondered why certain people get opportunities, again and again in the organisation, while you have been waiting for years?

Well, the answer to this question lies in how you have been managing the perception of yourself. How someone take a decision about you is heavily dependent on the perception they have about you. People start identifying you by the image you create and not by how you actually are.

🔷𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸
🔹How perception is formed
🔹How to know your current perception
🔹Ways to change/improve a negative perception
🔹Ways to amplify your positive image

🔷𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
🔹Take feedback
🔹 Analysing feedback
🔹Decide on suitable actions and implement them
🔹Re-evaluate and Re-assess

📌𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲: The author has described many methods and flowcharts to understand this book appropriately. I liked the 4 matrix/grid approach and the case studies helped a lot to relate the topics to life. The language of the book is easy and the author has narrated the book perfectly.

Highly recommend it to young professionals and people working in the corporate world.

Cherished the strong development of this book which focuses on the thing which actually matters or has to matter in the era where there's failure and disappointment all over. The way to understand things on one's perspection

The preface of the story was very well-informed by the author for the reader to relate and to actually follow it to an extent.
The book will ensure to develop an exceptionally captivating read and certainly prescribe this to be perhaps the best assisting read and as I have connected with a few points in the book, I think many would pursue the read .

How one manages the chances, associating his present and surprising future which has acquired a colossal interest in the personalities of brings the snaring joints for the readers. The book without a doubt has each component to be a decent understanding point made page after page like a ride to connect with self. I truly anticipate reading additional attachment like elaboration to this book.

The signs become more grounded and natural, yet the mysterious part is something that I literally connected with and that's the motive the book focuses upon through its mere narration.

This book is a supportive read which I would prescribe to the readers as knowing the self worth and to work on improvements calls out for more than just efforts.

We often hear people saying that if we do our best, we don't need to worry about what others think of us. But the author points out that this isn't entirely true. He explains why the perception others have on us is important, how to know that perception and how to change that for the better.
.
At first I didn't understand the meaning behind the picture in the book cover. But after reading a few pages, I realized it and the creativity is awesome! The author has split the contents into seventeen chapters. And in that, the author shares the importance of people around us having a good perception about us. He also shares the steps to get information about that perception and the steps to be taken to change that in our favour. The author not only points out facts, but also has included various case studies on almost every point made. There are few pictures and flow diagrams too that help to easily remember the points. At the end of the book, I'm thoroughly convinced that each point made by the author is indeed true, the perception our colleagues have on us do matter! The author's writing and coherence are wonderful. I recommend this book to every working individual. This book will definitely pave way to reach the goals faster.

'The missing I in the image' is a self-help book written by Manish Tewani.

After lot of fictional reads,I read a non-fictional book.
It was a different one!

The book is based on the central idea of 'PERCEPTION'.

Perception is something which I like so much.It amazes me because every person has its own perception. One thing would be seen in 10 different angles by 10 different people.

This is a book published by 'Story mirror' and I am impressed by this publication as there are 2-3 books which I read by this publication and each one was different.

Coming to the book now, this book is of 132 pages.I would say its not a read in a go kinda read because for me non-fictions are never in-a-go read.It takes time for me to complete a non-fiction read.

The book is certainly an amazing one!Being a self-help book it didn't bored me.

The concept of the book was quite engrossing and interesting.I liked the time which I spent reading this book.

The language in which the book is written is simple and lucid. Also, the author has drawn few charts explaining the concept in a simple manner.

I would say, this is a read which one should read as the author has beautifully explained the reason behind the judgements of the people.

A good one!

The title of the book is what intrigued me to read this book and I am glad that I did. The book dwells on the concept of 'perception management' which is a totally new topic in the field of self help and motivational books. This book deals with the simple idea of perception of an individual in a workplace, it's efficacy, requirement of its knowledge and the ways through which we can change it according to our benefit. This book tells that many times we come across the theme that what others think of us is no big deal but this book begs to differ.being a social animal, it's in our inherent code to be affected by others and it is not wrong too. So why not work towards working on it for the better?
This book dwells on this simple question and gives life long effective lessons of workplace through seventeen short and sweet chapters. To make the case more strong, the author also uses various cases to prove his point. The addition of many diagrams, flow charts etc. at various parts makes the book more interesting to read.
The choice of the title is very brilliant as it is catchy and unique. The cover suits the title. We start learning from the title itself. The language is easy and fluid making it understandable for anyone. A must read.

A book which focuses on perception building and management. This is purely a masterpiece for those who are involved in the corporate world.

In our work place and daily life we all create and form a perception of everyone around us, which is quite normal and obvious human nature. But this book focus on ways to control our perception from other's point of view. The best part the read was that it doesn't support fake perception building, it supports creating your true perception and improving it if required. But never creating a fake one because it can prove to be a trouble to us in the near future.

This book depicts it well that hardwork is not the only solution to success but hardwork paired with smartwork works the best in all scenarios.

Book consists of very well described diagrams and pictures which make it interesting and easier to understand. Author has researched well and put up all of his experiences and knowledge about perception building.

I would recommend it everyone especially to young adults and corporate world employees. Although it's a short and easy read but all it needs is attention and patience, so i suggest don't leave it in midway if your feel bored.

Perception plays an important role in shaping one's career, thoughts, objectives and what not. It isn't something that one avoids, people tend to act like they don't really care about what people think of you, but delving into psychological approaches, people's thoughts about you is the only important thing to an individual. Management is a vast area to comment upon and choosing a subset "Perception Management" is a great deal somewhat. I think we need to shape our perceptions and amplify our thought process to it, as our perceptions pose to directly or indirectly affect the way we act in certain circumstances.
The scrutiny of the author on the subject has left a benchmark to my 'PERCEPTION', the way he has analysed the things and suggested reforms in order to gather the right perception and impression on people we interact with.
The book certainly deals with a lot on this subject and has much needed insights to add values in personal life.
Overall, I loved the read and had a great reading experience.
