Alexa Shiifflett has been running from her past for twenty years. Her only companion is a dog she recently acquired. Her old car is on its last legs when she pulls in Silent Falls. This small town feels like home to her. The people are really nice and non-judgemental...until she meets a bully while having a nice dinner with her dog outside of a bar. After that, she isn't so sure about the town, but when she is questioned about a murder, things really get interesting. Her past keeps creeping up in her mind and she has the fight or flight feeling on edge. A great story with wonderful characters! Can't wait for the next installment! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Love a strong female lead! It’s refreshing that while she is a lesbian, the character’s identity isn’t solely focused on this fact. Unlike so many other lesbians in literature, especially those written by men, the characters sexual identity isn’t a point of friction in her life or a central plot line. I also appreciate that she trusts her instincts and has a strong moral compass. I look forward to reading more about Shiffy and the trouble she will inevitably get herself into.

Wonderful spin off from the Lance Brody series.
I was thrilled to find this spin off from the Lance Brody series. After the last Lance book, I wondered what would happen to Alexa. I loved the way you understood how the trauma from her childhood created the woman she became. The storyline was great and I am excited to read Book 2 in the series. I hope you keep the characters Ezra and Herb.

Amazing New Series
Another great book by Michael Robertson Jr. . This time with Alexa as the main character. She does an amazing job as the lead role, and Ezra and Herb make awesome new secondary character. Highly recommended all Michael's books, and per usually I cannot wait for the next book.

Best Follow-up
I wasn't sure if this was the same girl who was in the Lance Brody series. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was and the girl was as sassy as ever. It is a great read and the characters are full of depth. Very happy that I picked this up and will be very happy to read the series!

Wonderful!
I’ve read his Lance Brody books and had met Alexa in a couple of those. I like his writing style and how he develops his characters. Because I had met Alexa I wanted more of her story I was glad to hear he had started her own series. I do believe this series is going to be good and look forward to more.

Really good!
I’m a big fan of Lance Brody, so I had to read this book. I really enjoyed it. I got to know Alexa through the Lance Brody books. It was awesome to see how her story unfolded, and even with all her demons from her past, the friendship she begins to build, is the one thing she’s really never had. I’m looking forward to the next book!

Alexa wants to make a new life and stop running. She finds the small town if Silent Falls it seems perfect. A murder occurs ,and sets events into motion that drive her to find the killer. There is more to Silent Falls than it seems. Fast paced thriller.

I have enjoyed all of Michael Robertson Jr's books that I have read. This is no exception. The main character is from the Lance Brody series and follows her life after the book Dark Vacany.

What a ride
I was reading along, enjoying the story when it hit me, I knew some of the characters. The Lance Brody series was an awesome set of stories and this one is going to be just as much fun to read.

This book was very interesting. I enjoyed the suspense and mystery. I am hoping the author will write a sequel to it.

I loved this book! Can't wait for the next one to be released. Such a refreshing character. Michael Robertson Jr has another hit on his hands. Love Lancy Brody and love Shiffy too!
