It was good to see my best friend, Colin.
He brought his daughter into the military base, and she told me about her first soccer goal.
I was happy for her, and in a good mood. Until Colin reminded me of the upcoming Military Ball.
Dread swept over me, as I had no idea who to take.
Colin wanted to help, so he offered to set me up with someone I had always been fond of.
Savannah.
I never thought she would agree to go, but when she does, I assumed it was just to be nice.
But when the night comes, we both have a fantastic time.
Maybe the attraction wasn’t one sided after all.

I couldn’t believe Dane wanted to go to the ball with me.
Dane was an attractive military man, and someone I wish had made a move on me long ago.
The ball went great, but right when he was about to kiss me goodnight, we were interrupted.
I was disappointed and didn’t know if things were going to happen between us.
Things went slow the next week, and I tried to take my mind off of our failed ending to the night.
I didn’t expect to find him supporting my niece at her next soccer game.
I hoped that he would ask me out so that we would have another shot at a first kiss.

Dane may be an officer, but he is still the shy and awkward man he was as a kid. When the Officer's Ball was around the corner, his friend set him up with his sister-in-law. Savanah and Dane went to school together, year later they are not the same as they were. Savanah use to be part of the popular group, not she keeps to herself. At the ball, Savanah and Dane had a good time, but the next set they were not sure of.

Dane has to be one of my favorite characters. I love someone who you who think would be all strong and Alpha to actually be uncertain and shy. Savanah was a great character, kind and caring.

Dane is so far my favorite out of the series. You will fall in love with the strong confident yet shy guy.

Book 10 in Military Men of Valor series. Dane needs a date for a military ball. When his best friend suggests Savannah, a lady Dane has had a crush on since high school, he thinks this may be his big opportunity. Savannah knows Dane as the cute nerd from high school who is now a top officer. Could their first date lead to something special or will their insecurities get in the way? This is a good story. There are a few high-drama moments and some repetitive phrasing,. The intimate scenes range from polite to spicy. There is a strong theme of protection in this insta-love romance. 3.75 stars

Years later, they are set up on a date and find out that they should have made the move years ago as they had liked the other before. They hit it off and Dane proves himself both a gentleman and a protector.

I loved Dane by Sara Jones. Its book 10 in the Man in Uniform series but can be read by itself. When military office Dane needs a date to the military ball, his buddy sets him up with his sister-in-law Savannah. The chemistry between was off the charts hot and I definitely recommend reading their story!

Another great read in this series. This is book ten and it is just as good as the previous ones. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and fit well together. I enjoyed this book.

Dan and Savannah

I loved Dan and Savannah's story. They were both a little nervous at first about how the other one would feel but they ended up hitting it off. Story was sweet and of course had some steam to it! Gotta love those sexy take charge men!
