Aliens and Animals #2

The Alien's Veterinarian

Rate this book
No space adventure is complete without a cat

Abby prefers animals to people, which comes in handy since she's a vet working long hours at a cat rescue. She can't say no to a critter in need, so when she's offered a quick and well-paid job to look after a pregnant jaguar, she accepts it. Problem is, she didn't read the small print...

Sahra has travelled to Earth to find a healer who can help with the animals back on Kyven. But how do you persuade a human to leave their planet without revealing that you’re an alien? It's time to twist the truth a little and abduct an unsuspecting vet.

Throughout the journey, their ability to work together is tested. When a storm and a dangerous beast threatens their lives, can they make it out together?

An out-of-this-world f/f romance with a cat-loving human woman and a determined alien female willing to do anything to find her mate. Part of the Aliens and Animals series.

In the first book of this series Valla accidentally kidnaps a human zookeeper along with the zoo animals she intended to sell for her boss. After that adventure they end up back on Kyven, setting up their own nature park. When one of the leopards ends up pregnant they need a veterinarian to help what may be a complicated delivery, Valla’s sister Sahra is tasked with going back to Earth to find a vet. When Abby agrees to go to Sahra’s house to care for her not-small cat she finds she signed up for a much bigger adventure than she thought.
This was a cute follow up to the first book in this series, great for a light afternoon read. The communication between human and alien made for a humorous exchange and both are sweet characters. I would recommend reading the Alien’s Zookeeper first, I don’t think these really work as standalone novellas. Great book though and I’ll be sure to pick up book 3 when it comes out to read Tamsia’s story.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment, The Alien's Zookeeper so when I saw a sequel, I knew I had to read it.

These are just fun, easy reads. Not too serious, just cute and feel good and a bit of silly and humour, of aliens and humans trying to figure out each others similarities and differences, and forming bonds via the Earth animals in their care!

So if you're a lover of animals, vets, zookeepers and aliens who are adorably naïve - then I would recommend these quick happy reads!

I was in the mood for a fun and lighthearted book and picked up the second book in the Aliens and Animals series. The Alien's Veterinarian features another alien and the human female she falls for. This was a again a fun read and I really liked reading about Sahra and Abby as well as the animals.

This time it's alien Sahra who finds her mate. Sahra travels to earth to find an veterinarian to help with a pregnant earth cat on Kyven, she gets human Abby to sign a contract to help and off they go back to Kyven. Abby gets quite the surprise when she realizes it isn't just a house cat and house visit, but instead a visit to a whole other planet that she signed up for.

I really liked visiting Kyven alongside Abby and Sahra and seeing how they dealt with the pregnant cat as well as another surprise when they inspect the cat. It was fun to learn more about Kyven and see how Abby experienced her visit there. There is a bit of danger they encounter which brings them closer. There is a bit of miscommunication toward the end, but I was happy with how quickly it got resolved. I though Sahra and Abby were cute together and I liked seeing them get to know the other and their alien characteristics.

It also was nice to see a bit of the couple from book 1 and toward the end there's the introduction for the next sister who will get her romance in book 3. All the animals are fun to read about too.

To summarize: This series is perfect if you're looking for a fun, light and sweet scifi alien romance book with animals. I liked reading about Abby and Sahra, they made for a great couple and it was fun to read about how Sahra convinced Abby to come with her and the surprise Abby got when she realizes they're going to another planet. I enjoy seeing how the alien Kyven are different from humans and seeing the characters figure these things out. Seeing the alien planet Kyven through Abby's eyes was fun and I also liked seeing more of the couple from book 1 as well as the introduction for book 3. There are some fun animals that play a part as well.

#2 in the Aliens and Animals series. Tinged with romance, humor and a bit of drama, this is an easy, quick read. Abby is a vet at a cat clinic on Earth and loves anything feline. There are lots of animals to deal with in the wildlife sanctuary on Kyven including Sapphire a pregnant leopard so Sahra (Valla's sister) is sent to Earth to secure the services of a vet aided by instructions provided by Tilly. A clueless vet and her alien abductor - what could possibly go wrong! A bit of miscommunication needs to be clarified before our duo get their HEA. Life on Kyven is a riot, wonder what is to come for Tamsia.......
Looking forward to the next adventure and easily recommend this fun read.

✔Sapphic Book Bingo Challenge 2023 🌈✨: Main board - Co-authored book

4 stars. This series is so much fun. Sapphic blue aliens falling for human women. What’s not to like? The writing is good, the plot is entertaining as hell, and the characters are charming and their romance is absolutely delightful. I really liked Sahra and Abby and I liked that their romance was more on the slow burn side. It takes a but for anything romantic to happen between them which was great. They had great chemistry and worked well together. I liked the ending and thought that it was a really well done set up for the next book so I’m excited to get to that one.

I read it very quickly and I couldn't stop laughing. It is ideal to rest when you are saturated. I highly recommend it. In addition, the animals and the world have enchanted me. It fails him that it is very short and the characters cannot evolve, but otherwise it is very good. It's an easy and funny book.

Cute Kitties!

This story finds Abby, a veterinarian, traveling through space to help Sahra with Sapphire, a leopard about to give birth. The romance between Sahra and Abby is tentative and sweet, forged in curiosity and extreme circumstances. I loved the alien animals, especially the new baby kitties! A sweet and fun read.

Hope She Got Paid Mileage for the Home Visit !! . . .

When Sapphire, a leopard on planet Kyven, becomes pregnant they need to find a veterinarian due to the possibility of a complicated delivery. Valla’s sister, Sahra, is asked to go to Earth and bring back a vet. The veterinarian, Abby, believes she is going to Sahra’s home (her house) to care for her cat. She is actually going off-world to care for a leopard!

They check Sapphire out in a cave while a huge storm rages outside. Suddenly her mate, a fierce lion-type animal, entered the cave to protect his mate. The women were able to back away, but when he left again, they moved back to Sapphire. Again, her mate came forward and, before Sahra could get a force field up to protect them, the beast ripped into her stomach. Fortunately her species regenerates, but the damage was extensive and she was losing blood faster than she could generate a fresh supply. Will the two of them survive? Can they make it out of the cave despite the storm?

The characters are well-depicted here, and the story line is humorous as well as suspenseful. It is probably best to read Book 1 since you meet the characters there and it puts everything in perspective regarding how the zoo animals were brought here. It’s an interesting story line. Will Sapphire’s babies be born safely? With the vet stuck within the force field, she may not be able to help, even if she could get past the huge beast guarding his mate.

In the Alien's Zookeeper we met Tilly and her animals as they were taken from earth. The mess up was on the part of Bavalla who is now Tilly's mate. Now they have a pregnant leopard and she's in trouble. They send Sahra to earth with directions to get medications and a Veterinarian. She kinda messes this up but at least not as badly as the previous book went.

Abby is surprised when Sahra requests her to come to her home to treat the cat in trouble and even more so when she sees the horse and buggy Sahra is driving instead of a car.

The journey back to Kyven, is not without problems. Abby is more than a little curious, she just wants to make arrangements for her practice to be covered in her absence.

There's more than a little tension between Sahra and Abby, and I really thought they'd figure it out sooner than they did.

A bit of drama, some sniffles, and giggles too. I can't wait for Tamsia's story.

One heroine needed a vet and the other fit the bill perfectly. If only there was an easy way to tell her the job was on another planet.

This is book two of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.

This is a science fiction romance of the alien FF variety. That being said, the romance is a bit of a slow burn and secondary to the main plot, which is all good. The story is well written and easy to read with an intriguing setting. The setting is well developed and I like the way it is all set up. The characters, though, are the best part as I love both our heroines. They are great working together and I love watching their relationship grow. Overall. a great addition to the series and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Highly recommended

Sahra has been sent to find a veterinarian, to help with a difficult birth for a big cat. She comes across Abby and through miscommunication, Abby thinks she is helping someone with a house cat delivery nearby. Loved the characters, locale and dialogue, wishing it was a place to really visit. The story is well written and it flows steadily, working between tense moments with big animals and tender moments between Sahra and Abby. Loved the animal park and the support they give each other in keeping it going since it was transferred from Earth. The ear tickle was cute and out of the blue. Loved the little moments like that which makes me smile. Great ending. Can not wait to read how the third sister fairs.

All I could think at the end of the book is "finally, they'll get to make a proper Victorian sponge because this chick knows her cows." I was so looking forward to this second book and I was not disappointed. I love world building and I'm always fascinated by an author's creativity when it comes to alien languages- don't even get me started on blue, lion leopard looking cubs. Too cute! The love was sweet between our mains and the little bowels snafu was a great way to shove them a little closer together. A happy ending and a third book touted!!?? What could get better than that!?!? Drooling for the third book because Tamsia will be a hard sell and that is the love story I revel in.

I enjoyed reading this story. I really liked the characters of Sahra and Abby. The action and adventure they went through concerning the leopard and her mate were crazy and it was a little shocking that Sahra, as an alien, could go through that much pain and suffering and still survive. I did get a little frustrated at the way the two girls were acting and not telling each other how they actually felt but that adds more drama to the book. This is the first book that I have read in this series and now I will have to check out the others to find out what previously happened to Sahra's sisters.

Sahra is on earth looking for a healer to take care of the earth animals on Kyven. Abby is a veterinarian from earth who is asked to help a cat with her pregnancy. Abby signs the contract with no issues and is then whisked away to another planet to assist a big cat and not a house cat. There are sparks of interest between Sahra and Abby, Sahra even puts herself between danger and Abby and is badly hurt in the process. Will they be able to make a relationship work or will Abby go back to earth and never speak of the visit to another planet. Interesting read, the description of the animals on Kyven is amazing and the characters are great.

This is book two of this series and I love it! It is so unique and the fantasy to create this world is fantastic and beautifully described! It is a lot of fun and very engaging to read, with humor, romance and drama. It's about aliens and humans trying to discover each other's similarities and differences, forming bonds through the terrestrial animals in their care!

So if you, like me, are a lover of animals, vets, zookeepers, and aliens who are adorably naive, then I happily recommend this quick, happy read!

I had a bit of a hard time getting into this one. The pacing was a little fast for me, and it was hard to connect with the leads. There were lots of sudden scene transitions between chapters without so much as a montage to summarize the events that happened in the time jump.

The sci-fi pieces were both quirky and interesting, just like in book 1. While not my favorite in the series so far, I think it still had a decent amount of charm. Plus, the epilogue seemed a bit more interesting. I am curious where they take the next the next book. Try this one for yourself and see!

This was my first time reading a lesbian romance, but I love this author's books and decided to read it. I'm so glad I did because I loved it! I absolutely loved Sahra. I found her adorable and she won my heart right away. I was fascinated with the idea of a human vet being taken to an alien planet to care for an animal. Abby and Sahra had good chemistry. Great world building. Well written. I'll have to got back and read book one now. :) 4.5 stars

another fantastic romance in the series

This story follows on from the aliens zookeeper, can be read as standalone but is better read in order. A misunderstanding puts Abby and Sahra together for the sake of saving a big cat, but the course of true love is rarely a straight road. Well written romantic but with drama and excitement this was a fabulous story and I am looking forward to the next one!

working in cat rescue is perfect for her, she likes critters better than humans most of the time anyway- but the kitties can usually personally pay her bills

a short term gig to help a pregnant panther takes her literally out of this world

extrastellar steamy f/f romance

A human vet in need. Can be read alone but is the continuation of the first book. Sister travels back to each to get some one who knows about the zoo animals taken in space. Who knew she would find her mate. Blue or not the love is there. No cliffhanger for this couple.

A Veterinarian traveling through space to help an animal give birth. Sounds interesting right? We have Abby the Vet from Earth to help Sahra with a pregnant "cat". There's also some feels between the two so yes this is FF. I love the new animals and can't wait to see what's next in this universe.
