Kelli Green was born in Chicago, but moved to Pensacola, Florida when she was 8 years old. She's always been fascinated with movies, music, television, stories and just people in general.
She has been writing for most of her life. She is currently working on her novel, "May."
The blaxploitation and mafia movie references were spot on. The author nailed the impact of such movies on the psyches of young people during that time. As in any good coming of age story, Cool had a big choice to make which was hard because of peer pressure. The inciting incident came late for me, but when it arrived, I couldn't wait to see what happened next.
Frank is a driver for Mr. Jet. He's offered a chance for better things and is pressured to take what he really doesn't want. Kelli Green has written a timely book that shows what many kids today deal with. I highly recommend it!
Quick and easy read with plenty of obstacles throughout the book to keep you wanting more. It’s an interesting storyline with a perspective that is very relatable. Great read for anytime!
