Amazing storyline
I know when I say that I normally do not read polyamory stories, most would not believe me. I found the first set for free and just seen that it was paranormal, got hooked on the trials of Calie and boom, there's the quint. But, I not only stuck with it, I purchased the next set!! It is as great as the first! There is so much going on between the fighting for life, the problems of family (both born and found), the getting to know themselves and making the "new" you into the "now" you, is impressive. There, of course, are the sexual scenes, but it's somewhere between being tension and full on nitty gritty porn. There are scenes, but again it's more a PART of their story, NOT THE story. can't wait to read about Honor! MUST BE 18+!!!!

Loved it!
I generally despise books that are written in the first person present tense; however, this author has mastered it.
I am thrilled with the characters and the story. I also appreciate that the author has chosen a world where the magic of shifting forms isn’t painful. I’ve never thought that something that is supposed to be natural to the species is so often described as being painful or excruciating in so many created worlds.
The steamy scenes are definitely explicit. I enjoy them and they serve a purpose in building relationships, but if you have problems with male on male details, skip them. The story is worth reading without the sex.

ugghhhh yasss this is my second time reading Darkness Calls Trilogy and i just love it! This is a continuation of the guardians of the pheonix, be sure the read books 1-5 before indulging in this which are books 6-8. J.L. Madore does a great job of making this realm its own and makes Keyla unique and completely separate universe that her brother Kotah... (kinda...) In the other realm Creeds kingdom and thrown as been overthrown by an evil queen. Creed is taken to the human Realm by the queen and his two guard dogs Rhylan and Vik... well technically not guard dogs more like guard dragons! yasss you heard me shifter dragons! After Keylas brother's quint takes care of creed and the dragons by putting them in their place they find out deeper and deeper the real trouble in the other realm. As soon as Keyla makes eye contact with Creed they become soul seared. Will Keyla's love for her first love Doc overcome her being soul seared by some random giant demon wolf from this new fae Realm? Can she free Creed from the evil queen Larissa's hold and free the kingdom? Read this and find out! maybe Keyla's will get her own Harem? :}

Good Read
I really enjoyed this book. I loved getting to continue reading about characters in this world and found the story fascinating. I also liked catching up with the characters from the previous books. The story had me hooked from page 1 and I found myself quickly falling in love with the characters. I would recommend giving this book a read.

Amazing series
Love the characters in these books. Madore does an amazing job of making you fall in love with them and they just come to life. Can't wait to read every book she has written.

I enjoyed this very much. Believable characters and traumas. LOTS of action! Polyamorous and loving people who support each other.

This trilogy was good and I would definitely read more from this author. This author was a new to me and it was good .
