The Corner House

Rate this book
Ink on muscle, the three best friends living at the Corner House are what actual dreams are made of.

In fact, I have a dream that includes all three of them.

The thing is, I'm not the kind of girl who asks for what she wants.

Especially when what I want is... well, three guys at once.

But the more time I spend with the three of them, the more I feel like myself.

Not the old me who waits for life to happen to her. With them, I feel like who I'm meant to be.

Boldly, I ask them for what I want. They give it to me.

But after, I find myself still wanting more...

One of the Corner House guys has a spot in my heart, but can he possibly see me as more after what we've done?

The Corner House is a slow-burn full-length reverse harem standalone novel featuring MMMF, MMF and MF scenes. This novel is light in theme, featuring girls' night shenanigans, a dog named Grandma, and lots and lots of tattooed hunky men. For Adult Readers Only.

4 moan-worthy Roommate Stars ⭐

Nothing in life ever prepares you for feeling normal about wanting to be fucked by three guys at once.

Adulting is hard. Sloane was doing fine until debilitating migraines have waged war on her life over the past year. Being in an accident on the way to work is the icing on the proverbial cake. The only upside is having her injuries tended to by Officer Bastian Cute. Or should we say Officer Holy Hotness.

This moment is the turning point Sloane desperately needs. Because as she begins to spend time with Bastion and his two roommates Bodhi and Eli in the Corner House, Sloane's woes are ending.

It's amazing how strangers can offer more comfort than people you know intimately. When Sloane's financial problems become unavoidable she finds herself the new roommate to these three irresistible men.

However it brings to light Sloane's most hidden desire. Is it possible to be attracted to more than one man? Well that's a yes, but wanting to sleep with all three at one time? And how does one actually ask for it? Kind of mindblowing.

"The point is, Goldilocks", he whispers. "Don't think you have to stop at one bear. Try all three."

The Corner House is a reverse harem romance, except there was something beautiful and believable about this one. Forefront is the respect and friendship these four shared. It gives gangbang a whole new meaning.

What I can promise is a pleasing slow burn love affair woven through this story. Also the level of feels you will experience really hit home. This is not a skanky eye rolling fling.

My only criticism, was the amount of dialogue with side characters that had me skimming in places. Why? Because I just wanted to get back to the actual story. 💜

ARC provided by the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Corner House gives a very unique outtake on a Reverse Harem. I was hoping you wouldn’t ask why; all I can suggest is read the book; it’s well worth it and steamy.

The first lesson from the book, ladies always shave your legs before you leave the house; you could run into a peculiar predicament with Bastian, Henry Cavill Lookalike. Poor Sloane did not shave. But no worries, he still helps her out and leads Sloane to meet his two Roommates, Bodhi (if Chris Hemsworth and a Kevin Creekman had a love child, he would he would be it.)And Eli, who I kept picturing Stephen James. After a horrible year, she realizes she wants all three and at the same time. Who wouldn’t with these three?

“I want them all at the same time, like, really bad.”
“Sloane,” she says, her voice faltering a bit as if she’s emotional. “That may be the fucking coolest thing you’ve ever said in your whole life.”

Sloane is stunning, funny, and taking her power back. This girl cracked me up, and I was cheering her from the sidelines.

“Suck it again, Sloane. Fuck that felt so good, will you suck it again, please? The barbell?” Some girls want to hear those three words. I love you. Some like those four words. Will you marry me? But I’m ecstatic with those six words. I mean, there are no other words that make me feel like a powerful and sexy woman like “will you suck it again, please?”

Sloane is my superhero. I would love to have watched that. The first knows what she wants with sex and has no problems expressing it after being comfortable, but with her feelings, that is a whole different story.

The Corner House is a great, sexy, slow-burn. My favorite from the author with incredible character growth and plot development. I will add at times, Sloane did infuriate me. It seemed she needed a better mother figure in her life. I was and still am fully invested in this book and look forward to seeing more of them in the future.

Officer Panty Tingle, eh, I mean, Officer Cute starts.

I might've found my spirit animal in Sloane.

I wasn’t trying to get into the man’s pants through his stomach. I wasn’t. But I mean, if it helped me get there, I wasn’t too proud to ignore the help.

The premise of this book is that we're introduced to this girl who's broke AF. And she needs to move in to a house with three guys to get by. Sound familiar?

Trying not to imagine being sandwiched between these two. What a sandwich that would be. There is no fresh and juicy BLT that could top a delicious Bastian-Bodhi grilled Sloane.

Yea, this is basically New Girl in an alternative universe, if Jess were craving Nick, Schmidt and Winston's D all at once but ultimately ends up with Nick.

He’s shown me the least amount of attention and, because I am a girl, that makes me interested in him the most.
Sick, I know.

Brynn and Sloane's friendship also reminds me a lot of Jess and Cee-cee's friendship which was honestly great— we live for that female friendship!!! And god, the bromance between these men?

Oh my god. My poor little bromance-adoring heart. My poor, lonely vagina. My hungry ovaries.

Just basing on these quotes I hope you realize why I love Slone. Her monologue just hits the spot different, I can't even.

I feel my lady parts doing a shimmy.

Okay, now serious time! I'm not too keen on RH but from what I know, I honestly thought that the girl wouldn't have to choose. Sloane did choose. Now I can't say I'm disappointed, because the guy she chose was amazing. All of these men were amaaaazing! They care about her and is genuinely there to be her friends like its cool is she wanted to fuck and its cool if she doesn't, they were just there for her.

I really like the guys in the corner house, as friends. And that’s why they’re so perfect for this fantasy. Because they themselves are a fantasy.

But was I disappointed that she had to choose at all? Oh, most definitely. Later we come to realize that the two other guys are actually emotionally unavailable, one more than the other. So, i don't know how to feel about that.

Mmm, I am completely sexualizing these men in ways the girls and I hate when it’s done to us but in the words of Uncle Jesse, have mercy. I cannot help myself.

Overall, this was pretty solid. For a reverse harem, tho? I honestly have no idea. I liked that the guys were unproblematic, or maybe they were, I don't know. They're use to sharing girls—not together. But the trust and friendship was there and I loved that.

The list of ordinary things proving to be aphrodisiacs was growing while around these guys.

I had more funny highlights, but I don't have anywhere to put them. So just try this book out, like for a palette cleanser? This would be great. It's funny and it had all the healthy friendships, which you honestly see often.

For my first foray into RH, this was gently done. If this is what RH romances are all about, how have I not read more of these?! I was laughing, swooning, cheering and left red-faced throughout this entire book.

I loved how strong Sloane is despite having chronic migraines. I loved how comfortable all the characters were with their roles in all the situations. Each one had a story and I would totally buy their books too. Story ends with a HEA and has an epilogue. I know most RH romances don’t end this way, so I’m almost tempted to say this is a toned down version of a RH romance.

My only grievance with the book is that at times there were snippets that added nothing to the story and I felt they just didn’t need to be there but it didn’t take away from the story overall though.

The Corner House is a cute lighthearted read with lots of steamy moments with sexy tattooed men.

Sloane is ready to take her life by the balls, literally. She’s got a fantasy and she’s determined to see it through. And those guys in the corner house, will do just fine.

This is a nice slow burn story. The relationships between Sloane and the guys is adorable. And I love Sloane’s girl squad. I personally wouldn’t say this is a reverse harem but I guess it could be a unique take on it.

Yeah I didn’t love this one. It just missed the mark for me on like every level. I stuck it out bc I liked the story, or the premise of it at least, but the execution was shaky. I couldn’t relate to Sloane at all, and I don’t like main characters (or people) like her so it was hard for me to get into it. I did like the way she perceived Eli though. I loved when it talked about her thoughts about him in the beginning bc he was all broody and mysterious. Further into the story, I started to get the vibe that he was really just quiet and a little shy. But I still love a nice silent thoughtful type so it worked for me.

Also this is not a reverse harem lol, there’s like two instances of group sex, and then she chooses one. Really, she chooses one pretty early on, but it just doesn’t become official until later.

For me , Sloanes character was very annoying. She was just so at odds with herself for most of the book it was cringe. Her friends were annoying too and from the start I got the vibe that they weren’t that solid at all lol. It felt like a college friend group or even a coworker friend group, not a true meaningful adult friendship. She was a bit immature for her age, and not very self aware a lot of the time. It was really laughable at times lol. The entire situation just screamed quarter life crisis to me lol. Therapy. Just therapy. I would have loved to see her go to therapy towards the end.
I just couldn’t resonate with her bc on top of ALL that she was very traditional(and a little dumb) at heart when it comes to relationships. She’s not into casual sex, (and very shy.she can’t even talk about it with her friends without getting nervous and embarrassed) and her sexual attraction is really tied to her emotions and what she thinks of a person not sexual acts. She likes slow and sensual sex, and tender moments and all that. Not knocking it, it’s just not my favorite thing to read. But her expectations were unrealistic/unreasonable at times. (Like it turns her off when a guy wants to hold her head and cum down her throat. He’s just supposed to stroke her hair and look lovingly into her eyes while she gives him a slow sensual blowjob lol) She met her match w/ Eli bc he’s like that too. He guards his heart, and when he loves, he loves hard right from the start. He was really attentive and a natural caretaker which was exactly what she needed. A perfect match.

I wasn’t head over heels for that dynamic though. Also the sex was just too vanilla for me. Like having group sex was downright scandalous to her and her friends. And that was the craziest thing she did. All the sex is completely kink free and honestly there wasn’t even much foreplay.Just light petting, then oral, and then the main event(if oral wasn’t it lol). Which honestly isn’t a giant deal bc the scenes still could have been great (I don’t care if it’s vanilla as long as it’s good) but I think for me it was just a situation where the sex was boring bc the girl was boring.
(Sn: Also how did she go from no sex or penetration for over a year, to doing a dp foursome on her first go lol?)

I liked Bodhi, Bastian, and Eli well enough separately(despite their corniness), but I was in love with them all together. I thought their dynamic was a lot of fun while also being pretty healthy (even though I spent most of the time reading about them wanting them to rub dicks or kiss or something).

As far as the Brynn thing went, I wouldn’t have been her friend again lol. She did her dirty as fuck. Like I get it on the business side, but they way she went about it was shady as fuck. When she showed up at my house uninvited, I would opened the door, seen her, calmly closed it, and went about my evening. You and your sister can have your own dinner party w/ Abbi. I’m good on that. I mean I would have heard her out eventually, maturely let her know she was wrong for that shit, and then gone my own way. We’re cool, no animosity, no bad vibes, but we ARE NOT friends lol.

Overall it was okay just not my cup of tea.
Maybe I would have felt different about some of it if I went into it knowing it was really a one on one romance and not a reverse harem , i don’t know.
It wasn’t a bad book, it just wasn’t for me. If you like this kind of stuff then maybe you’ll love it.

I am so sorry but I had to let this go when I realized it wasn't a why choose, and I think that's cool and realistic for what it is, like sure whatever you're not gonna fall in love with everyone, but I read reverse harem and menage because it warms my heart to see a romantic relationship between multiple people work out. I love reading about people fighting to make something like that work, and I also think it's super super hot. I do wish this wasn't labeled as reverse harem because even though reverse harem usually includes a variety of different relationship types, those relationships are usually in a romantic poly context, and I'm gonna go ahead and say: this ain't a reverse harem. No shame, but that just wasn't what I was looking for and I feel a tad misled, especially since I could have enjoyed this relationship dynamic if I knew what I was in for. I know people complain these days about trope labeling and needing to know if books are a HEA or not being out of control, but to me, reading this was kind of like cracking open a book labeled fantasy only to find out it's historical fiction. She's a sexy found family book that is a romantic love story between two people. I was looking for a contemporary, hyper-romantic fantasy, and this gives too much "slightly open but not too open" realism for my taste. I won't rate it since it just wasn't for me and cause I gave up on it(even though I found it to be unevenly paced and some of the "charming" dialogue was a slog that I was working for because I thought I was doing it for four crazy kids that were gonna make it work) Put it in the, acts slutty but isn't slutty enough and the I'm not angry I'm just disappointed piles.

3.5-4 stars. This story is meant for pure escapism. Sloane has felt her life spiral out of control in the last year due to debilitating migraines and longs to have a more carefree existence again. Between a breakup, loss of clients and being on shaky ground as it is at her job, she needs an opportunity to let loose again. It just so happens through a series of unexpected events that she meets a police office, Bastian, who invites her over and Sloane also meets his roommates, Bodhi and Eli. Then Sloane is invited to be their fourth roommate. This is not a reverse harem story in my opinion. Sloane definitely explores sexually with these guys, but they are not all in love with her or vice versa. What I liked was that Sloane was calling the shots and dictating what she wants after feeling a loss of choice for so long. She does not mistake lust for love and afterwards, they are all still caring and amicable. The guys have a really endearing dynamic between them as roommates, where they talk openly about their feelings and do bro group hugs. There is one guy in the bunch that Sloane does have burgeoning feelings for and she finds him hard to read because he is quieter and seems to give off friendship-only signals. I liked that angst and slow burn between them because he is simply biding his time and not wanting to pressure her. Really, this is a story of pure indulgence where Sloane eventually gets everything she wants even though everything initially seemed to stack against her, including the guy and HEA.

Im still trying to work out if this is a Reverse Harem romance or not? Its definitely not like any RH book ive read before and even though it doesnt end the way that they did i actually enjoyed how it did end. It was a pretty great read

If you take out the RH from this book the relationship between Sloane (FMC) and the guys - Bastian, Bodhi and Eli was a sweet, caring as well as a steamy one in parts. Sloane has a really difficult time in this book which mainly stems from health problems - migraines. I genuinely wanted to hug her because it was a lot for her to cope with. It actually makes you care about her and want her to get her HEA ending. I loved reading this book and i loved all the characters in it

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I fell in love with the characters in this story, they were all strong and deep people. Bodhi, Bastian, Eli and Sloane each had a backstory that brought them all together that made you laugh, cry and celebrate with them. I loved how all three men took care of Sloane in her times of need, but especially how Eli was with her. I shed a few tears with her, but was really happy for her that they were able to find a solution to her problem. It wasn’t the traditional reverse harem story, but it was fun to read. A great book with lots of heated scenes and a very happily ever after.

This was a great read, but I don't know if I would identify it strictly as reverse harem because she only ends up with one of the men at the end of the work. The plot was great and the characters were fantastic. It was fun getting to know them all and seeing them interact with each other. The author did a great job illustrating the struggles the main character was going through, I felt her emotions clearly. Other than having an issue with how the book was labeled reverse harem, it was a fantastic read.

Four out of Five stars.

This is one steamy hot book, loved Sloane’s fantasy to try new and undiscovered things she always wanted to do, to break out of the vanilla. Such a great connection with Eli, and him being a wonderful caring person that just wants her to be better in mind, health and spirit. I enjoyed that Sloane has a great set of girlfriends even when they have their squabbles and feelings get hurt, they realize just how much they miss each other and willing to own up to their mistakes. A fantastic read of self discovery and confidence into one’s character.

This book gave me a headache. I don’t have any problems reading a true RH. But they are difficult to write well bc of the juggling of characters all falling in love. This was not that. This was a woman who was a walking headache who fulfilled a fantasy while she fell for one man. She says she’s not a slut, but while I would have agreed if this was a RH, it wasn’t. So she is. Her friends were as horrible as her clients.

Really bad mistakes. The dog’s gender changes, and characters are called by each other’s names.

Leave it to Daisy Jane to again blow me away with a book I wasn't sure I would enjoy. But of course I did....and I want more from the people I met in this book.

Daisy Jane does slow burn romance like no other. She gives me just enough to keep stringing me along and then BAM all up in the feels.

I also really enjoyed this book as the FMC struggles with migraines, which I myself also do. It was nice to see her live and love without letting the migraines win.

Sloane has a debilitating illness that results in her looking for roommates. She ends up moving into the Corner House with three hot superheros - Clark Kent aka Superman (Bas), Thor (Bodhi) and Captain America (Eli). Sloane connects with all three ans asks for them to fulfil her fantasy though she ends up having intense feelings for one of them but does he feel the same way?

I really enjoyed this romance is this RH is a bit different than all the others I have read. The chemistry between Sloane and the three men is steamy hot explosive but it is her connection with each of them that makes this story unique. I love her relationship with each and how they are so supportive with each other. I thought parts of this story was sweet and heart-breaking, and all the men were totally swoon-worthy!

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

I don't know if I would call it Reverse Harem at least in the traditional sense of the word nevertheless I was pleasantly surprised. Mature, well written characters and just a simple sweet read. I still think the romance development lacks a little depth but otherwise a great book!

Uhm wtf

Ok no. A reverse harem is when the woman ends up in a RELATIONSHIP with ALL of the men. They literally only had s3x together & she ends up with one. I wasted my time.

The end.

all i have to say is how does one girl find 3 INSANELY hot guys all living in the SAME HOUSE? lol

sike i have more to say :)

i liked this story. i felt bad for sloane (female mc/solo narrator) with her migraines, especially as someone who doesn’t even get minor headaches. i can’t imagine losing your vision and resorting to vomiting to help with the pain - and she has to deal with it and the “hangover” consequences by herself. poor her (but also literally because she is almost broke).

until…

she meets the “corner house” guys.
-Bastian (friendly police officer)
-Bodhi (hippie tatted vegan)
-Eli (mysterious but kind lover-of-whiskey)

obvi these men are all hot as hell and they’re all genuine and nice to her - oh wow they even offered to let her move in!

and that’s how the story goes. she is attracted to all three of them (maybe one a little more than the others *wink*) and proposes a ~plan~ to fill the hole in her life left by her deadbeat ex and her migraines.
will they go along with her plan? what will happen after it all goes down? who, if any, will she end up with??

READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!

my ratings:
sloane: 4/5
bastian: 4.5/5 -tortured soul, least attractive imo
bodhi: 7/5 -let me tell you, this man and his scenes…!
eli: 5/5 -very caring and sweet to her, good man
scenes: 5/5
scenes frequency: 3.5/5

overall score: 4.83 —> 5 stars!

This is more of a personal note for myself rather than an actual review since I’ve never read this book.
I don’t think this book should be marketed/advertised or even considered a RH because in order for it to be a RH it needs to end with all of the members together in a relationship not with h choosing one of the H and the others H finding love with someone else, but after that it automatically stops being a RH.

I have nothing against this book except this, maybe it should be advertised as a MF romance with sharing scenes including MMMF and MMF.

Again this is a personal note, in case I ever come back to this or eventually decide to read it in the future and I’m not disappointed in the ending since I’ll have warned myself in advance.

A Different Kind of Harem . . .

This is a different kind of reverse harem that comes together and then dissolves. Sloane had a fantasy of having these three guys. She finally got enough courage and determination to ask for what she wants, and they cooperated fully. Then she focuses on one guy that has her heart. Will he be willing to have a one-on-one relationship with just her?

The interactions of the characters was really good. I liked the men she chose in that corner house. I think she had a pretty good support system between her guys and her girlfriends. And after achieving her goal, she found the one who best completed her.

I wanted so badly to score this book higher. I felt so much of myself in Sloane I ended up in tears more than once. I’ve suffered from chronic migraines for the last 13 years and they’ve taken so much from me that I couldn’t help but relate to Sloane. There was very little ‘reverse harem’ scenes in the book, which weren’t a deterrent for me but could be for some that are expecting more. The thing that I had the most issues with was how many typos and missing words there were. If I wasn’t so invested in Sloane from a personal standpoint I probably would’ve stopped reading about a third of the way through, and the errors got worse after that.

I like when a book stays with me even after I finish it- I actually finished this book hours ago but I’m still thinking about Eli (ugh, you adorable man, you!). This is definitely NOT an RH book, even though the title says that. I count it as an RH if the fmc ends up with ALL the men at the end...and I would’ve definitely loved it if she did in this book! I do wish we could’ve gotten a little more of Bas and Bodhi at the end...they seemed to basically disappear once Sloane and Eli got together. It’d be nice to get a future update for them, maybe with some kiddos and a group get together with the other guys and their girls too?? Yah?!?! Bff’s forever!

This book is a story about a girl moving in with a couple of hot guys. It is pretty easy to see where this book is going. The writing was decent. I would say it is worth a read. It wasn't anywhere close to the worst book I have ever read but I can't put n my top ten either. I will try reading another by this author though.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sexy as hell with a beautiful twist of love

This book will have you hot and heavy! The strong bonds of friendship are comforting and realistic. Letting a woman have a powerful, yet extraordinary relationship with three men without judgement is wonderful! It takes your dark, dirty secrets to a new level! I can’t wait to read more of the books from this author.

Sometimes, in order for life to go on, you have to make a change, even if it isn't what you want. Making a housing change, Sloane has a plan to take what she wants and get herself some happy instead of all the crap she's been dealt lately. Her migraines once again prove to be a burden on her and she has to learn how to navigate the after math of them.

"Happiness is really all that matters."

This was a lighter romance where a young girl goes after what she wants...3 men at once. She happens upon a nice, hot guy by accident. He happens to have 2 hot roommates. She needs a place to crash and finds a spot between the 3 of them. She gets what she wants and is then able to move on to her more romantic HEA.
