Sarah is in need of a vacation to get her mind off of her divorce and the events that led up to it. She and her besties, Sandra and MaryAnn, are embarking on a 7-day Greek cruise. Sarah just wants to hang with her friends, but Sandra has more lascivious ideas in mind and is hoping for a one-week stand. Poor MaryAnn is left to try to keep their best friend circle intact ,until nothing she tries works. It's enough to make anyone wonder if they were truly friends in the first place. Are Charles and Sarah soulmates? Maybe. But he has to confess the secrets he's been hiding. Another Chance is a love story with love-at-first sight romance, and the ill feelings friends harbor and the actions it causes them to take.
I just finished reading "Another Chance" and I'm still thinking about the characters and their stories. This book is about three friends, Sarah, Sandra, and MaryAnn, who go on a cruise together. They're all looking for a break from their lives, but they find more than they expected.
Sarah meets a man named Charles and they connect in a way that feels special. But their friendship is put to the test when Sandra gets jealous and tries to cause trouble.
What I loved about this book is how it shows that relationships are complicated and messy. The characters all have flaws and make mistakes, but they're also relatable and real.
The author does a great job of exploring the ups and downs of friendships and romance. I found myself feeling invested in the characters' lives and wondering what would happen next.
If you enjoy stories about love, friendship, and self-discovery, you'll love this book!
Take your time reading this book and get to know the characters. Their stories will make you think about your own relationships and the importance of honesty and communication.
Another Chance is a compelling and heartfelt read, filled with romance, drama, and the perfect amount of tension to keep you turning the pages until the very end. A perfect choice for readers who enjoy stories about second chances, deep emotions, and the complexities of human relationships. It is also a reflection on how jealousy can poison even the closest of friendships and how difficult it can be to maintain harmony when personal desires collide. The novel keeps readers invested with its unexpected twists and thought-provoking exploration of how far people will go for love, and what they're willing to sacrifice. Sarah's growth as she navigates post-divorce emotions and new love is beautifully portrayed, and Charles is more than just a romantic interest—his hidden past adds layers to the story, keeping the reader intrigued about his motives and intentions. The chemistry between Sarah and Charles feels organic, offering a sweet and genuine portrayal of love at first sight, balanced by the secrets he carries. Loved it…
JC tells a great story about the unspoken competition in friendships, even unwanted ones. She takes us on a journey where three besties travel to Greece on a cruise. One is only interested in who she can sleep with. One wants to forget the horrible divorce she's gone through, and the last one just wants to be with her friends. Unfortunately, there isn't enough sexy, single men to go around, and two of the friends start a battle for this one man's attentions. It all explodes when that man makes his decision revealing that their wasn't much of a friendship to began with. The short story was great to read and the sex scenes were steamy, as always. For a short read, it was great.
I liked this book. Sarah had been through enough and deserved a beautiful love. And Charles was such a sweet man. I didn't like when she didn't let him explain his side, it literally didn't cost her anything to let him speak. Neverthless, they really were fated for each other
Story was good, guess it just moved to fast for me and the childish ways of one the women First time reading a book by this author, will most likely read another
This book needed to be longer, because there was so much stuff going on! The snarky pseudo best friend, the divorce, the trip, his issues. But still a very enjoyable read.
This is the first book I read by J.C. Anderson, and I’m glad I checked it out.
Another Chance is a fun, quick, sexy read. Charles and Sarah’s chemistry was off the charts! I am a fan of instalove stories when done right, and this one was.
I didn’t like, however, how Charles kind of led Sandra on. I wish there could have been another obstacle in their way rather than pitting these two women against each other and making Sandra the villain. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a woman pursuing a man as long as he’s willing, and I didn’t think Sandra was that bad until the end.
I recommend this book and will be looking out for others by this author.
