In addition to Indiana, he's lived in Southern California, where the Pixie Twist series is set, and has served as a history docent on a notable pier in SoCal. In his past lives, he's been a journalist, a wedding photographer, and an adjunct professor.
Alyn gets assistance from his fuzzy familiar (AKA "Lord Fuzzbutt"). When not helping his human with the writing of paranormal cozy mysteries, Lord Fuzzbutt likes to sit out outside and watch the hummingbirds dart about like pixies. He often yowls at the door, waiting to head to the patio for chipmunk duty. Fortunately, the little rodents are craftier than Fuzzbutt is.
Alyn's beverage of choice is dark roast coffee with a dash of honey, and a splash of half-n-half. In addition to being half-way competent with his home espresso machine, Alyn makes a mean Mai Tai.

Twiz and Chaz are so cute as a couple. Finally Twiz is out on her own after leaving her odious boss, the community, at least those not sucking up to Star, rally’s around her as she’s also onboard with saving the pier. Theirs drama coming and Twiz maybe ready but is the town? Plus, huge relationship movement in this book

Twizzle is being pressured to run for office due to her sterling reputation. However, the murder of Misty Greene puts that issue to the side temporarily. Misty, a star believed to have used the ‘casting couch’ to her advantage, has been harpooned in the back. Between Mort’s mini dragon convention & Aleks, the wereshark floating gambling ship owner wanting Twizzle to help him buy some buildings, she wants nothing to do with the murder. When a momentous decision needs to be made, can Twizzle & Chaz stay uninvolved?
The more Twizzle, the better! The adventures of Twizz & the quirky magical St. Mo inhabitants go at break neck speed & I’m glad to be along for the ride. Every bit as good as her ‘Mystic Brews Mysteries’ set in Wales, there is a bit of crossover that adds spice to ‘The Pixie Twist Mysteries’.

An interresting read :
More insight on what makes Twizzy tick, her passions, her drive ánd her insecuritys
I love to see the growth in her relation with Chaiz and that she is more then 'just the girlfriend of ... '
With a carreer change , a relational change ánd a murder she's pulled in so many dircetions
And yet : Alyn weavs in humor in the shape of a ...seagoinig corgi
The mystery is well worked out , enough red herring to keep you on your feet , but not so much you loose track , you can almost see the wheels turning in her mind as she solves it case
After all is said and done: she is a very good realtor

A Hollywood starlet is found murdered in the bay. Harpoon in her back. Somehow the mundane press must be kept away. The Pier is still under threat, & Twizzle is having troubles at work. Then the wereshark boss from The Tiger, the gambling ship out at sea wants help to buy property with his fiancée. They want people to realise they want to be friendly & not enemies. More fun & games for Twizzle as she is becoming known for solving things before the police do.

Now we now what vampires drink when it's not blood! Just go to the "red" drink list.And the killer wasn't who I thought it would be! The cast of characters is interesting, especially the sharks. This is a summer read - or if you are just killing time with way too many books on your Kindle.

Great story
In this volume of the series, Swizzle Twist really shows her strengths. There are excellent interpersonal interactions and conversations. She puts her jerk of a boss in his place.

This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!

Poor Twizzie gets caught up in yet another murder! Misty Green is found with a harpoon in her back and Twizzie is called upon to solve the killing. With the help of Hoppy, Mort and a few weresharks Twizzie gets to the bottom of it Also pressure is getting put on her not to run in the election against Star , so much so, that her boss subliminally threatens to fire her but that slapped him in the face when Twizzie walks out and sets up her own practice. In the love stakes, things have moved along too. I love all of Alyn Troy’s work and I wish I could award more than 5 stars. Can’t wait for the next addition. I just can’t put the book down till I’ve devoured every word.
