I signed up to be part of Ellie Banks’ stranger sessions because I was swept up in the romanticism of it all. I didn’t think I’d get picked. When the day comes, I’m nervous as hell. Still, I need to find out what all the fuss is about. It’ll be a nice change to my routine which basically involves working at a bookstore.
I don’t know what I was expecting but turning around and meeting Liam was a surprise. He sweeps me off my feet in an instant. Que the swell of swoon worthy background music. The connection between us is undeniable and unstoppable.
What happens when we find out that we’re more connected than we thought? Is it going to stand in our way? Will he fight for me when it matters the most?
LIAM
My business partner encouraged me to sign up for an internet trend, citing that I haven’t been on a date in five years as enough reason. He’s no better than me, devoting all his time and energy to making our IT business what it is now. The hard work has finally paid off.
Five years is long enough to be holed up only worried about the business. That’s the only reason I agree to go through with the photoshoot. Had I known my Sunshine was out there waiting for me in the innocent form of Aspen, I would have looked for her a long time ago. She’s everything that chases away a rainy day; the clouds part for me with one look.
It turns out she should be off limits, but I’m not going to let anything stand in the way of our forever. I’d risk it all, even my business to make sure she’s the person I fall asleep next to and wake up holding every day for the rest of our lives.
If you like alpha heroes and an insta-love story that is sweet but isn’t necessarily simple, then this is for you. No cheating with a guaranteed HEA. My Stranger Shoot Series are novellas that take place within the Denver Family world but is not part of the main timeline. Each book can be read as a standalone. Don’t be surprised to see characters from the Denver Family, other than Ellie, pop in.
Ember Davis loves alpha heroes with a range of emotions, but a strong sense of how to take care of their women. She loves her heroines from all walks of life, just like her heroes, and she wants them to be real and relatable. Her heroines tend to be sassy, opinionated and smart.
Ember is a stay at home mom of two who recently refound her love of books and all things romance and is so glad that she did. She’s always been creative, but writing and creating stories that she would love to read satisfies the dreams she had as a little girl. She loves butterflies, the color purple and enjoying time with her family.
Pssst, it’s totally a pen name, but everything above is 100% true.
Oh, I so wanted to love this one. I love seeing the stranger session albums that are uploaded on social media and when I read that this book was going to have one as the catalyst for the main characters meeting, I was excited. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the book. It sort of went downhill from there.
I wasn't invested in the characters and just couldn't get into the story after the photo session was done. Things just felt so rushed and it didn't come across as there being any sort of real character development or real storyline. I wasn't getting a cohesive story. It felt maybe like parts of a potentially great story, but it felt incomplete to me.
But the parts that I did like were great. Many of the characters were great. I think it just wasn't what I was expecting.

A beautiful, fun story by Ember Davis of two strangers who meet whilst attending a photo shoot for strangers. An instant attraction and love at first sight develops between Aspen and Liam and their journey of a life together begins. Along the way Liam and Aspen are faced with a minor hiccup because Aspen’s brother, who also happens to be Liam’s best friend and business partner, does not approve of their relationship but when he sees them together he can see that they are in love and therefore gives them his blessing. This is a great upbeat, quick read that will captivate you from the very beginning. I loved it an am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Somehow Ember Davis managed to distill all the cuteness and excitement of every stranger photo shoot I have seen into Off Limits. If this is how the rest of the series goes, I am going to be over the moon. So sweet to see two lonely people, Liam not even realizing just how lonely he was, find their person. The chemistry and the shared passion for hiking, among other things, gave me butterflies. Aspen is just a sweetheart, it would have been impossible for Liam to resist falling for her. I consumed their story like it was about to be outlawed and I'm desperate for more! 6 stars for Off Limits!
Ember Davis just has a way of sucking you into the story right from the start! This was a really cute novella kicking off her Stranger Shoot series. It was great! I loved Liam and Aspen. It is amazing how well Ember conveys emotion – the nervousness before the shoot, the chemistry between the two when they first meet as strangers, their first real date, everything. So well written! I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the rest of the series!
If I wasn’t already married, I’d totally want to sign up for a stranger shoot! Such a wonderful story! Kismet is a funny thing when Aspen and Liam first meet. Getting to know each other and finding out how much they have in common, they hear that almost audible click; like two puzzle pieces finding it’s home together. There’s so much laughter and joy and full blown love arcing between them that it lights up their world! Sooooo good!!
What an amazing book! Ms. Davis did it again with Liam & Aspen's story!! The characters were perfect for each another. Their chemistry was palpable and the passion was off-the-charts! Sweet HEA and super read!
Oh this story was freaking sweet and the photo shoot scene was 🔥🔥🔥Insta love, sweet, steamy, romantic and safe with a great HEA. Liam and Aspen met at a stranger photoshoot and found their soulmate 😍😍😍
Swoon! Liam is one of a kind and is perfect for Aspen. They are so sweet together and who knew keeping fully clothed for their stranger shoot would be so steamy hot! I love the concept of these stranger shoots and Liam and Aspen certainly don't disappoint, I cannot wait to read the rest of this mini series within the Banks Ink World. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
This is the 3rd book I've read written by Ember Davis; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the 1st book in Stranger Shoot Series; it was a quick read about Aspen & Liam, he’s her brother’s best friend and business partner. They were paired together at the Ellie Banks’ stranger photo session.

Super sweet insta love story!!! Liam was the ultimate book boyfriend and wasn’t shy about telling Aspen how he felt and going after her!!! Loved the stranger photo shoot idea!!
3.5/5 stars Aspen and Liam sign up for a stranger shoot photo session. Both are blown away by each other, their connection and attraction is instant. The photo shoot goes beautifully and they make a date to go see a local ballgame. Both are excited and looking forward to the date. The wrench in the plans is Aspen’s brother, Joshua, he is also Liam’s business partner, who calls him Josh. Joshua had very little interaction in his sister’s life, he’s always been the aloof sort of bully big brother. Yet when he finds out Aspen is the girl Liam is crazy about he flips out and Aspen caves. It’s a good thing Liam wasn’t going to give up on her. He follows her home and they go on their date and later have their first time together. They then go together to the office and talk to Josh. Who apologizes and gives them his blessing. Epilogue three months later with her moving in with Liam and him proposing. I didn’t like that she was going to give Liam up for her jackass of a brother. She should have stood up for herself.

This was the sweetest instalove I’ve read! Liam is protective and beyond sweet to Aspen. Aspen is a great h too. She’s not naive and she’s kind and educated. I really liked this story.
I love the idea of a stranger photo shoot, it's almost like a blind date with a twist. Aspen is a book nerd who loves where she works and prefers a quiet night at home, looking to step out of her comfort zone she signs up of the shoot. Liam has worked hard with his business partner to start and grow their business, now after five years his partner wants to get him out there and signs him up of the photo shoot.
Liam and Aspen have an instant connection the moment they turn around. Their time at the photo shoot was nothing they expected and they could see a future together. That is until she walked into her brother's office, Josh, and Liam was there. When the dots are connected and the piece fall into place. Josh flipped out that Aspen was the girl Liam had been talking both. Josh's tempore did stop Liam from going for what he wanted.
This is a new series and one that started off amazing. I love the chemistry and passion between Liam and Aspen and the strength to go what they want no matter other's opinion. Their willingness to stand up together instead of crumble show the strength between them. I love getting lost in the story with each turn of the page and am looking for the next book.

The idea of love at first sight is amazing and the fact that this series is about being able to capture that moment with a professional photographer blows my mind. The story line is great and makes for a quick fun read.
A sweet intense romance read! This was a cute storyline, Aspen took the first step in meeting someone when she signed up for pictures with a stranger. When she finally meets Liam their connection is instant but they don’t know that they know someone that will have an impact on the HEA. Will they ignore their intense chemistry or say goodbye at forever? This was a definite must click it and I can’t wait for more of this series that doesn’t disappoint.
Off Limits is a wonderfully sweet and steamy story by Ember Davis. It is part of a spin-off series from the amazing Banks Ink series. The story is everything you want to read about happening in a real stranger shoot scenario. Liam and Aspen have signed up to be photographed in a stranger shoot. They have never met each other before the talented photographer Ellie tells them to turn around and face one another. I love that Liam was so sure in his instant feelings towards Aspen and wanted to do everything he could to get things moving forward in the relationship. Liam and Aspen are just so sweet together. They have issues and feelings to work through before getting to their HEA. I love that the story is told in dual POVs. It was sweet and steamy and just gave all the feels.
I enjoyed this shorter length read. This romance is very cute and very sweet but also has some heat to it. It was super easy to like Aspen and Liam and to fall for them as a couple. These two have a little bit of drama to deal s their story unfolds, but really this book is all about the meet cute, the feels and the swoon. I am electing to post a candid review.
I love the Stranger Shoots!! They’re so sweet and I love how it’s love at first site. I’m not a fan of her brother. She’s so submissive she doesn’t stick up for herself. Don’t really care if he ever changes he’ll still be a jerk in my opinion. I just love Liam. Willing to lose everything for the women he loves.

I love the idea of stranger photo sessions (I would go outside of my comfort box and actually do one!) and when I saw this novella, I decided to give it a go. I didn’t realize it was going to be open door bedroom scenes and bit too smutty for me, but I did finish it.
The reader gets to see both Aspen and Liam’s nerves about doing a stranger photo session. And they have an instant connection during the photo shoot. Thy moved it outside of the photo session to a first date.
This is where the ‘romance’ became too much for me: It was extreme insta-love on both sides; it seemed more so for him. Right away he is calling her “His Sunshine” and also extremely jealous of other men. Aspen and Liam find out they have a known person in common which could affect how their ‘relationship’ will progress.
They go on a first date and it gets hot pretty quickly after they watch a game. Aspen decides to tell Liam after she is in just her underwear how inexperienced she is (IE: She’s a virgin) yet they still go all the way. And the internal speak of both was just not for me: How they both wish he would ‘ride her bareback’ and “I want you big and round with my babies”. OMG: You don’t even know each other, it’s not love, it’s 1000% lust! Again, this is just their first date.
Of course there is a HEA, but this novella was just not for me. I will give this series one more try with the second novella to see if it is any better for me. And that is only because it is the stranger photo sessions.
Update: I tried the read the second novella in the series, (First Look) but ended up DNFing it. The second one was seemingly going the same way with the insta-love on both ends, with a slight drama in there. This is NOT FOR ME. And I hated that because I just love the idea of Stranger Photo Sessions (and going out on a bubble, I would totally do one!) but this series is seemingly the only novellas/books to read out there in that ‘subgenre’. I’m very disappointed….

This was a really cute instalove romance. I loved the concept of meeting at a strangers shoot and I did wish that that had been a bigger part of the story but I just fell in love with Liam and Aspen. Liam was the perfect romance hero and wouldn’t let anything stand in the way of him and Aspen. What’s not to love about that? I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and see who Ellie pairs up next.
HEA Standalone - interconnected characters Brother's best friend
Aspen (mfc) Liam (mmc) Josh (mfc brother)
Liam and Aspen meet at a stranger photoshoot. When their eyes connect, it's kismet. Attraction sparks, souls want to unite. But neither know about the other's connection to Josh. When Aspen goes to Josh's office one day and sees Liam, it comes out who everyone is to the other. Josh declares he forbids the relationship. Liam is ready to throw it all away for Aspen. Will she let him? Or will Josh stand in their way?
I read Josh's story first which lead me to this book. He gets his. I enjoyed both books. The cover is misleading IMO, but I try not to judge books by those
OMG! I’m so excited about this series! I love stranger photo shoots!!! Love this story! Liam and Aspen are so real. They have pasts and stories and they are just real people. But their instant reaction to each other was exactly what I wanted. So good!!!
