CW: Rape, Drugging, Gang Rape, Violence and Torture
These yakuza stories are intense! This is a series that I'm very conflicted in my feelings on. It has a lot of dark subject matter, but I'm just not connected to these characters enough to care all that much. I know this is a beloved mangaka, and I truly do think they are talented. I just wish I liked the characters more. Maybe their next story will be more interesting to me.

The penultimate volume! Everyone's jealousy and resentment reach a boiling point as the story hurtles towards the climax. I was so invested that I stayed up to finish the volume in one go. As much as I like this volume, I wonder if it could be even better had some reveals been hinted at or elaborated upon early on as Scarlet Beriko relies too much on the audience to fill in the gaps themselves.

Oh my god baby Tatsuyuki is SO PRECIOUS.
Wow this volume hurt. I felt the rejection from Asami right in my heart. Fuck poor Uichi. I feel like she mostly said it out of fear and hysteria due to the circumstances, but like damn that shit hurted. He just seemed so taken aback and hurt? And he got hit TWICE with that shit this volume? He just wants to be accepted and to have a family and to be so blatantly rejected like that? PAIN.
Then the fucking twist with Matsumi. I wasn't expecting that. I was starting to think he had a bit of a crush on the second head because he like forcefully mouth fed him so the truth was a real shocker. I was actually warming up a bit to him because he was being so nice and caring towards Uichi and then he let his petty jealousy get to him and just went absolutely off the rails. There's a lot of deeper story to read into that isn't being directly mentioned or fully explained. I'm wondering if it'll all come out next volume or it'll just stay kind of unsaid like it was in the fourth head.

4.5 en realidad.
Me ha costado más que los anteriores. La parte de Uichi con los rusos, en un momento dado, fue lo suficientemente explícita para revolverme el estómago. Claro que entiendo por qué lo es: hay que mostrar cómo es Matsumi y la fortaleza de Uichi. Creo que está bastante bien llevado, teniendo en cuenta la temática de la historia. Asoda comportándose al final del tomo, aunque sea por las razones equivocadas, me ha gustado. La fe de Akitora, también. Y sobre todo, Asami. Asami, dale lo suyo a Matsumi, anda.
Ay, ya sólo me falta un tomo. Me va a dar pena terminarla.

Aquí se lía todo mucho más, llegamos al meollo del entramado yakuza y los personajes pierden sus caretas y podemos ver todos los tonos de gris que componen su carácter. El de la portada es el hermano mayor de Akitora y refleja muy bien cómo es el personaje. En el siguiente tomo se acaba y preveo algún que otro giro de tuerca.

Por favor, Uichi no sale de una y se mete en la siguiente, el pobre. Este es el tomo que termina de romperte, porque hay momentos para coger y Uichi y matarlo a abrazos.
¿Por dónde empezar?
Ese momento en el que le pregunta si no es familia... ¡Akitora, te mato!
Asoda... Sigue un poco en la línea del volumen anterior y, por supuesto, Uichi es el que sufre las consecuencias de ello.
Y Asami 😭 Mira que la entiendo, pero me ha roto cómo trata a Uichi al final. Creo que no se la puede juzgar del todo, porque la comprendes y empatizas con su situación, pero mi Uichi. Pobre.
La guerra de los Ooyamato cobra más sentido con cada volumen y en este ya entiendes todos los porqués. Con todo, me quedo con ese momento moto y el puñetazo que le mete Akitora jajajaja Un Akitora celoso es uno de los mejores Akitora que hay 🤣🤣

Este tomo sí que me ha gustado mucho y lo he leído de corrillo. De verdad que vale la pena los momentos pesados del tomo 3 porque aquí ya toma todo forma y el plot da un giro que no te esperas. Deseando leer el desenlace. Enamorada siempre de Akitora y Rogi en este tomo me ha gustado mucho.

Dioooos este volumen es buenísimo!!
Esta lleno de acción, no podía soltarlo. Me encanta cómo actúan los personajes. Me encanta Uichi. Todo lo que le ocurre y lo fuerte que es, y cómo reacciona, y cómo no se rinde ni huye. Todo lo que lía quiere arreglarlo para que Akitora confíe en él, a pesar de que el resto no se lo pone fácil. Nadie le trata bien, ni siquiera Akitora le defiende, y las dos veces que le han soltado (una Akitora y otra Asami) que no es parte de la familia me han dolido mucho, porque no se lo merece.
Matsumi secuestra a Uichi porque descubre que es el punto débil de Akitora (cómo de guay es eso, me encanta). Se lo encarga a unos extranjeros que abusan de él todo lo que quieren y más. Asoda lo sabe, pero no hace nada hasta varios días después. Ahí le odié, pero luego se redime cuando tranquiliza a Tora y le dice que es imposible que Uichi haya secuestrado a su bebé. Uichi logra escapar con ayuda de Asoda, pero al ver que Tora está en peligro no duda en ir a su casa, de donde tiene que volver a huir porque Asami le culpa de la desaparición del bebé. En la huida Matsumi le vuelve a secuestrar, y el final termina con Akitora yendo a rescatar a Uichi y a su bebé. Menos mal que tengo el quinto, si no no se qué habría hecho.

La trama se pone muy interesante. La rivalidad entre Uichi y Asoda se intensifica mucho en este tomo, así como entre Akitora y Matsumi. Es verdad que la trama que tiene que ver con las rivalidades entre yakuzas se hace algo difícil de seguir, por los nombres y porque la autora te da la información algo incompleta para que te imagines lo que ha pasado. Uno de los aspectos entorno a los que gira esta trama es la inesperada relación entre Uichi y Matsumi, y cómo le afecta eso a Akitora. Eso ha sido lo más interesante del tomo en realidad.

Even though R moves through this world like a spoiled brat who has never really experienced real connection or boundaries; the brothers...yep, are not better. R is that dog looking for the tiniest bit of acknowledgement and he will do anything to hold on to it.
The brothers will use him for their own benefit. On to build his foot hold and the other to break his younger brother.

oh my goodness, where should i even start :0 i didn’t think i would like this series as much as i did but here i am. the characters and story only get better and more complex, and can i just say that i rlly like uichi?? he’s messy and flighty but i can’t help but root for him,, his character is probably my fav in this series. he’s also pretty fun to follow around, so i appreciate that as well. anyway, i can’t wait till the next volume releases!

Wow....some very powerful emotional displays in this one! Uichi gets in even more trouble which causes some rare introspection.
Matsumi is really, really messed up and Akitora is.....angry.
All culminating in a shocking act which will require everyone to band together.

Oh, shit goes down for real in this volume. The author didn't forget about character development either. Uichi is immature, impulsive and stubborn but he doesn't mean any harm by it. Unfortunately, all his actions have consequences and he's forced to come to terms with them in this volume which is both sad but satisfying to read about.
