Bonnie Balfour adores the changing seasons, fabulous fall activities and holiday hoopla, but will a corpse on the porch squash her holiday plans?
Thanksgiving is right around the corner in historic Bliss, Georgia, and Bonnie is trimming display tables at Bless Her Heart, especially for the occasion. A Gift of Gratitude display, beside the front door of her second chance dress shop, encourages shoppers to leave messages of good tidings for neighbors and friends. Unfortunately, someone has left a cornucopia of complaints instead.
And they’re all about Bonnie!
When the scrooge turns out to be a neighbor, fed up with Clyde’s habitual petty theft and trespassing, Bonnie’s claws come out in defense of her kitty. The heated exchange leaves a bad taste in Bonnie’s mouth, but the man turns up dead before she can dish out a proper apology.
Determined to see justice served, Bonnie and Clyde dig into the case with gusto, only to land in hot water with the handsome Sheriff Wright. A series of anonymous attacks soon have the town wondering if Bonnie can find the killer before it’s time to cut the turkey. Or if she’ll be the next one on his carving board.

A charming cozy series that has quickly become one of my favorites. It has Southern characters galore that I can see myself making friends with if I moved to Bliss, Georgia. Protagonist, Bonnie Balfour is a whiz at re-purposing clothing and furniture in her nifty shop, Bless Her Heart. She has something for everyone’s budget! Her black cat, Clyde, is a mischievous outlaw with a penchant for stealing things colorful and shiny.
Someone begins leaving negative notes about Bonnie and the shop in the Gift of Gratitude box she keeps outside the store’s door. She strongly suspects who is doing it and goes to confront them at their house. They have words, and the next morning the person is found dead by Sheriff Mason Wright, who Bonnie has dated a few times. As the victim’s friends start to mourn him, Bonnie is targeted by an angry killer attempting to throw the sheriff off their trail.
The plot moves quickly and the mystery stays focused on the murder. The main cast of characters becomes even more likeable and relatable in this third story. I can hardly wait until Bonnie’s grandma, Gigi, opens her bakery, Oh, My Goodies. I think things may be fixing to steam up between Mason and Bonnie! I highly recommend the Bonnie & Clyde cozy mystery series to readers.
I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by BookFunnel and the Author. All opinions are my own. Thank you.
I adored this book! Left me with that cheesy goofy smile. I want to be apart of Bliss, GA. I love the hidden Easter eggs that Julie put in this book and some of her others. Just a little extra for her readers that know her other series. Definitely recommend this series and this excellent author.
We're back in Bliss just in time for Thanksgiving and Clyde's klepto tendencies have gotten Bonnie in trouble in more ways than one. When the town, and handsome Sheriff Wright, witness Bonnie and Joe Fryer in a heated argument after Joe accuses Bonnie of being a bad cat mom for not nipping Clyde's stealing in the bud and the next day, Joe is found dead, Bonnie is suspect number one... no matter how much the sheriff doesn't like it.
I LOVE this series!!! We're in book three and Julie Anne Lindsey still keeps it fresh and fun. Bonnie and Mason's relationship is progressing nicely after some heart to heart moments and the author is really good at giving Bonnie realistic reactions to all the life or death circumstances she finds herself in in this series. There's nothing I dislike more when reading a cozy series and the amateur sleuther is completely fine after getting attacked, or abducted, and almost killed. Any living person would have PTS and Julie Anne Lindsey doesn't forget this aspect and makes her characters seem more real.
*Disclaimer: I was giving an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I SOOOOO enjoyed this book! These keep getting better and better! Bonnie has a suggestion box that keeps yielding negative messages - presumably by someone who is not at all happy with Clyde, her adorable cat. A little deductive reasoning leads her to the man who owns another shops whose pieces keep disappearing thanks to a certain feline. After a public argument, Bonnie decides to apologize.
When the man is found dead… Bonnie’s busy defending herself and delving into another mystery.
I like this story because we learn a little more about Detective Wright’s backstory. Plus, his friend from Cleveland makes more appearances thanks to falling for one of Bonnie’s friends and moving down to Georgia. All our favorite characters make appearances including Bonnie’s parents and the ever-awesome, Gigi, who you can’t help but love as she starts up her new bakery business. Plus some fun, new characters, namely Thelma and Louisa!
Detective Wright solves the mystery (with Bonnie’s help, of course) and then, at the end of the book … Oh man - I can’t tell you, but you’ll love it. (FINALLY!) it’s awesome. I’m so happy with the ending of this book and cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out.
Book was provided as a digital ARC by the author. All comments and opinions are my own.
Bonnie Balfour and her kitty Clyde are back and Clyde has been getting into a bit of mischief. Bonnie had no clue until she found a batch of complaints in her A Gift of Gratitude box. The idea was to encourage people to " leave messages of good tidings for neighbors and friends". Instead, her neighbor across the way used the opportunity to spout off about Bonnie. After a little public argument, Bonnie does try to make things right but unfortunately, someone killed the man before she can make amends. Thankfully that fine-looking Sheriff Wright knows Bonnie had nothing to do with the murder even though the evidence points her way. But, he doesn't like her nosing into his investigation especially after it is clear she is on the killer's radar. As Thanksgiving quickly approaches will the good people of Bliss be thankful the killer is behind bars? Or will they be mourning the death of the owner of Bless Her Heart?
_____
Another stellar cozy from Julie Anne Lindsey!
Ms. Lindsey has created a wonderful cast of core characters. Bonnie is crafty and creative, she's also very smart and becoming quite the amateur sleuth. She has a great assistant at Bless Your Heart in Lexi. The girl is wise beyond her years and a good friend and helper to Bonnie. Then you have Gigi, Bonnie's grandmother. Most people Gigi's age would be slowing down but this woman is opening a new bake shop right next to Bonnie's store. She is strong in health and opinions and not afraid to take anyone on. Bonnie's parents Bud and Blossom own a flower farm and are just as sweet as can be. They are always around to lend a hand. Sheriff Mason Wright aka HANS (Handsome New Sheriff) may just be Bonnie's, Mr. Right. And I can't forget Clyde, Bonnie's black cat who wears bow ties to match his owner's attire and is as cute as can be but sometimes he is very naughty. All these characters are genuine and dynamic and continue to develop nicely.
The mystery was very well-plotted and written with all the real-life subplots entangled perfectly. Ms. Lindsey threw in some great twists, a red herring or two, and just the right amount of humor and romance. She sets a brisk pace which makes it virtually impossible to put the book down.
I really value the author's descriptive writing style. I could easily visualize everywhere Bonnie traveled. I felt like I walked right into Bless Your Heart and pulled up a chair to take in all the store has to offer. I could look out the window and see all the happenings Bonnie's friend Cami has organized on the square. I even caught a ride out to the victim's place and took in what his neighbor had going on and to Bonnie's new home and the Sheriff's unique place too. Yes, her words allowed me to escape right into this book.
Beating the Wrap really tickled my fancy. I love these characters and this fun little town. I am looking forward to Gigi opening her bakery and Bonnie and Clyde's next adventure. I hope to escape into Eyelet Witness soon.
“Beating the Wrap” book 3 in the Bonnie & Clyde Mysteries by Julie Anne Lindsey. I love this series! Bonnie & Clyde are at it again!
When the death of a local baker threatens to shred the fabric of their lovely town, this dynamic sleuthing duo bolts into action. The results will leave you in stitches.
I loved this latest instalment in the Bonnie & Clyde series! We met some new characters Thelma and Luisa (secretly hoping they might be the spin off book) I’m super happy Bonnie bought the lake house as well as been doing good deeds around town. The way Ms. Lindsey describes or imagines these towns in her books just makes you want to live there and be bff’s with the main character.
The mystery is well-written and plotted. There are several red herrings and twists to keep the reader engaged.
I’m anxiously awaiting book 4 in the series as fun things are going to happen as well as romance …
I look forward to reading all the books in the series and highly recommend to all my cozy mystery loving friends.
I voluntarily agreed to read a digital copy of this book supplied by the Author. All thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way have been influenced. I have purchased my own copy for my personal collection.
Bonnie finds herself embroiled in yet *gasp* another murder. She's been a suspect before and she is now a suspect again, only this time, Mason knows she's innocent.
Clyde is still up to his thieving ways by stealing another local shop owner's belongings. He blames Bonnie and says her hates Clyde (how rude). Bonnie yells at him in front of witnesses and when she tries to make it right by returning the stolen items, he turns up dead.
I really liked the personal aspects of this story - we are getting to know the characters better and I can't wait to see if Gretchen was right about Dale and Cami being soulmates. I was SO happy when Mason said he had feelings for Bonnie and I am, of course, rooting for them.
I love that Bonnie was able to get lots of money from her mean ex and that she is helping Gigi to open her new shop to sell her baked goods. I love Gigi's feistiness!
I would like to see even more of Clyde in upcoming books and I'm interested to know more about the other secondary characters, like Gretchen from Golden Matches. Hopefully in a spin-off series :)
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
By now, I'm not reading this series for the mystery, they are just added bonus. I am really loving the relationships in the book, Bonnie with Mason, Bonnie and her best friend Cami, Bonnie with her family. It is just really heartwarming to read about what the characters are up to. We also get a small cameo of Louisa and Thelma in this book.
This one is my favorite so far! Clyde is such a little stinker & it is adorable. You really get to know some of the characters more in this book and I really enjoyed that. I love the deep conversations that Bonnie had to have with Mason, it showed a different side of him. So excited to read more in this series. Great book from a great author.
I usually love this author's books, but this one didn't quite live up to my expectations. Bonnie, the MC, really got on my nerves with her behavior and her very quick temper, especially at the beginning of the book. As the story continued, she calmed down and behaved more rationally most of the time, so I kept reading.
I really like most of the secondary characters in this series, especially Bonnie's parents and Gigi, her grandmother. Along with her friends, they were supportive without giving unsolicited advice or being judgmental, something that seems to be rare in cozy mysteries.
The murder occurred relatively early in the book, so we didn't know much about the victim until the investigation began to reveal bits of information. I was certain I'd identified that culprit, but once again, I was wrong, although the actual killer *was pretty high on my list, so I'll count that as an almost-win :)
Because the mystery itself was so good, and because I enjoyed the passing references to the author's other series, I will continue reading this series.
Bless her heart, Bonnie Balfour just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Frankly, that's a good thing for fans of Ms. Lindsey's third book in the Bonnie & Clyde Mystery series. This was an entertaining read from start to finish, and this time Bonnie has a little help getting into trouble - Clyde and his kleptomaniac behavior. The result- Bonnie has a run-in with a new store owner that ends with tense words and is witnessed by 1/2 the town. When the store owner shows up dead, Bonnie once again becomes a prime suspect.
These characters just keep getting better. I love Bonnie's relationship with her family, particularly her grandmother Gigi (who is more times than not right by Bonnie's side actively sleuthing). The regular cast of secondary characters is charming and adds so much to this story. This time around we meet two new characters - Thelma and Louisa - and I am hoping that if we don't see more of them in this series that they will become one of the spin-offs the author has hinted at in the past. I also love how Ms. Lindsey is writing the romance between Mason and Bonnie. They have great chemistry, and there is wonderfully witty dialogue as well as plenty of stubbornness on both their parts. It is going to be a fun ride watching these two finally reach their destination.
I just want to rent space and live in the author's brain. If she can write such wonderful characters, I can only imagine those still trapped in her mind waiting for their turn. I am always in awe of authors who can create characters that draw their readers in and make them feel like the characters are real. Ms. Lindsey has a wonderful talent and as a fan, I always look forward to what she brings us with each new book and series.
I voluntarily read a digital advanced reader copy provided to me by the author. The thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own and are in no way impacted by the manner in which I received this book.
There is sooo much to love about the Bonnie and Clyde Mysteries by Julie Anne Lindsey! She knows how to write characters that quickly become your friends and make you want to move to whatever town she’s writing about. The relationship between Bonnie and her grandma, Gigi, is so sweet with a side of sass on both of their parts. And I was instantly smitten with two new characters, Thelma and Louisa… Lindsey had mentioned doing spin-offs with some of the characters, and this is a duo I would love to see more written about.
Besides wanting to be BFFs with all of the main characters, I feel a real kinship with the town of Bliss, Georgia because it reminds me so much of the small town I live in, especially the revitalization that the downtown is going through and all the cute shops and eateries in the downtown area.
Along with the wonderfully developed characters and the fantastic descriptions of the town, Lindsey is able to keep the pace of her books steady with lots of things going on, but not having the main character spend all of her time interrogating people or looking for clues. Sure, there is some of that, but each book includes so many more fun scenes… and Bonnie actually works at her store instead of never being there, like so many other cozies end up doing.
And while most cozy mysteries series have a romantic relationship that has some issues… mainly communication, Lindsey handles the parts with Mason and Bonnie very well. While there is some drama, it fits into the story and Lindsey doesn’t make it linger for long. I have a feeling book four is going to really heat up in the love department.
Super excited for book four, Eyelet Witness, which comes out on December 15, 2021, and if you haven’t read any of the Bonnie and Clyde Mysteries, what are you waiting for?!?
It's fall in Bliss, Georgia, and Bonnie Balfour is creating a display in her shop using messages of gratitude from folks all over town. But a few bad apples can spoil the bushel, as the saying goes. Bonnie has a hunch who may be leaving mean-spirited notes and she heads across the town square to talk with the man. The new shop owner is less than receptive to Bonnie's questions and a heated exchange quickly escalates to a threatening confrontation--with witnesses. When Bonnie tries to mend fences, she places herself in the spotlight as a suspect in a murder investigation.
My admiration for and enjoyment of this cozy series grows stronger with each new release. Bonnie is a character who is easy to like and to root for--especially in love. She's had a bumpy experience with her ex-husband, but Sherriff Mason Write is proving to be just what she needs. (And the same goes for Mason! Bonnie is his perfect match.)
I really enjoy the characters, settings, and mysteries in this series. And the inclusion of little details from other stories by Julie Anne Lindsey are fun to search for and discover.
Thanks to author Julie Anne Lindsey for a digital advance reader copy. All comments and opinions are my own.
This is number three in the series, and the second one I've read. You could start with this one and not feel lost, as the author gives enough backstory to keep any reader in the know. Featuring Bonnie Balfour and her kitty Clyde, Beating the Wrap begins with Bonnie decorating her sweet second chance store "Bless Her Heart" for the fall holiday contest in the town of Bliss, GA. She discovers some mean notes written about her stuffed in the store's gratitude box, and when she learns they're written by a grumpy competitive retailer across the square, she goes to meet with him and hopes to smooth his ruffled feathers. The next day the retailer is discovered dead and Bonnie is a suspect.
Thankfully Bonnie's beau is the hunky sheriff, Mason, who tries to keep her out of danger throughout the well-written cozy as Bonnie tries to find the murderer. There are several possible suspects and Bonnie is determined to solve the mystery, sometimes with the aid of her feisty grandma Gigi.
Bonnie is a 40-year-old divorcée, who returns to find herself in the small southern town where she grew up. As a stress reducer, she bakes. So she is always bringing cookies, cakes, and sweet goodies to share with others. The author paints an engaging picture of Bliss as a place where everyone knows everything about everybody. Boyfriend Mason describes it as "Everyone's always smiling and waving and lifting their chin in recognition when you drive by or make eye contact, even if you've never seen the person before in your life." Coming from the urban city of Cleveland, his experiences of Bliss are a good contrast to Bonnie's.
What makes this novel a cut above the usual light-weight cozy is in addition to starting her new business and getting used to being single again, Bonnie is redoing the rundown lake house she has just purchased and moved into. She paints, refurnishes, adds pillows, paintings, and other accessories, and all the redecorating creates another dimension to the story. She's building a life out of making old things new again, whether with her store, her house, or even herself.
Bonnie's thoughts to herself sum up the message of the novel: "Being back home was supposed to be about finding myself, even if that meant standing out from time to time, in good ways, and never blending in for someone else's comfort at the expense of my own." So if you're looking for an entertaining, well-written cozy murder mystery with a likeable heroine, set in a charming small town, with a potential romance in the coming books, this is the book for you.
Beating the Wrap by Julie Ann Lindsey is an excellent cozy mystery that is the third book in the amazing Bonny & Clyde series. I loved it!
I really enjoyed the first book, Burden of Poof, and the second book, Seven Deadly Sequins, so I knew I wanted to see what happened next with Bonnie and her new life after returning to her childhood home in Bliss, Georgia.
I cannot recommend this one enough! This series seriously is getting better and better with each book. Now that the main characters have been established, they are really blossoming into their own. And of course, I love visiting the adorable, quaint, and southern small town of Bliss. It is adorable, sweet, and has its own history and quirks.
This book takes place before Thanksgiving, so the author is able to give it that festive, fall flair that I really love. It adds a nice additional aspect to the story.
Poor Bonnie is roped into another murder/mystery…this time involving a crabby neighbor that had it in for Clyde. Well of course Bonnie is now on the suspect list, so she and Clyde have to high-tail it to solve the crime before it is too late…
I continue to truly enjoy the interplay between Bonnie, Gigi, and Mason. The banter, the dialogue..it is whip smart and fits in perfectly with the characters, plot, and personas. So many times I found myself chuckling as I read the one-liners written. I love Bonnie and Gigi. I also am enjoying the progression of the tight rope relationship that is being played out between Bonnie and Mason. It is clear there is something there, and I am enjoying seeing that unfold. I also enjoyed the new characters that were introduced. It definitely adds a fresh feel to the story. Looking forward to seeing what they will be adding…
I loved the murder/mystery again, and am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. Can’t wait to see where this goes!
5/5 stars
Thank you to the author for this wonderful arc and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion.
I am posting this review to my GR and Bookbub accounts immediately and will post it to my Amazon, Instagram, and B&N accounts upon publication on 11/13/21.
This is the 3rd book in The Bonnie & Clyde series by Julie Ann Lindsey and it just keeps getting better and better. Bonnie is faced with a cranky new shop owner who isn’t too happy about her rogue cat, Clyde, and his antics. However, before Bonnie can make amends, she is immersed into another murder mystery when the shop owner is found dead and she finds herself at the top of the suspect list…again! Clues and suspects stack up faster than gossip in a small town and Bonnie must catch the killer before her life and business are ripped to shreds. Relatable characters, humor, and a little romance make this book a home run! Add in a mischievous feline side kick and I can’t get enough. I look forward to book 4 and I can’t wait to see what trouble this amateur sleuth ends up in next. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a good read with a clever plot and colorful characters. Julie Ann Lindsey is my favorite cozy author and knows how to keep you guessing until the end about whodunit. 5 stars!!!!
This is the third book in this delightful series. Bonnie Balfour is busy decorating her second-chance shop in Bliss, Georgia, preparing for Thanksgiving. When someone starts leaving nasty notes in her Gratitudes box, she is determined to find the culprit and try to win him or her over. And when it turns out that the nasty notes are a result of Bonnie’s cat, Clyde, swiping stuff from the note writer, Bonnie feels compelled to make amends. When the note writer turns up dead, Bonnie becomes the prime suspect! Readers feel the warmth and caring of the community of Bliss. And (almost) everyone is full of good intentions, even if those intentions don’t always produce the expected or intended result. Bonnie, thankfully, is surrounded by people who love her, so things don’t go too far awry. Bliss is a wonderful town to visit, and Bonnie and Clyde are wonderful and quirky hosts. Whether I could only squeeze in a few pages or could binge for an hour at a time, it was easy to slip back into this charmed community. I can’t wait for my next visit!
Book 3. Bless Her Heart Bonnie consignment shop is doing great. She has Lexi working for her. Gigi Bonnie grandma is opening her bake shop soon right beside Bonnie. They want it attached but Bonnie was thinking that her cat Clyde won't be able to come and go as he pleases because Gigi will have sweets in her shop. Bonnie has a Gratitude box at her shop where she lets people put a note saying who they are grateful for and then gives them a certificate to her shop or one of Gigi pies for picking the best one. But lately the notes have been mean spirited about Bonnie. So she tries to find out who was the culprit. There was an old man Joe that was the owner of the Truck Stop that was new store. Bonnie found out he was leaving them because he hated her cat Clyde. They had a heated argument. Alot of people witnessed it and one person she did not want to Mason the new sheriff. Bonnie was going to apologize she went to his house but he was not there so she left the note it said sorry. Come to find out Joe was dead. There were a lot of people that knew Joe was a lowballer but which one wanted him dead. This is the best one I have read so far. I liked 1 and 2 but I'm starting to know the characters better and these are great. I recommend these series you will love the characters
This series is so fantastic and this book is no exception. I have to say, I enjoyed that this book focuses almost equally on the murder and Bonnie's personal life. Don't get me wrong, I love a good murder mystery. However, my biggest joy in this series is Bonnie and watching her personal growth, and her relationship with family, friends, and the towns people. I love reading about this tight knit community and all the different small shops. Bonnie is just so real and down to Earth and is learning to mend old wounds caused by her psychologically abusive ex-husband. Watching her and Mason try and navigate their feelings despite those wounds is so wonderful to see. And I enjoy reading about anything that Bonnie tries to mend and make new. The mystery was interested and the ending was shocking. And Clyde is a sneaky and cute as ever. I can't wait to read more!
Bonnie and Clyde are my favorite duo. Clyde is the perfect, mischievous kitty. There's no telling what objects he squirrels away somewhere. When this bad habit of his lands him and Bonnie in hot water with a fellow businessman, all kinds of chaos ensues....including murder!!! Julie Ann Lindsey brings all our favorite characters back in this wonderful small town cozy mystery. Full of southern food and gossip, the town if Bliss, Georgia has a charm about it that makes you want to jump in the pages and live there.
This cozy and quaint small town is chock full of mystery and mayhem once again when another murderer strikes too close for comfort to Bonnie and her adorable sidekick Clyde. Luck doesn't seem to be on Bonnie's side as time and again she's neck deep into a murder investigation ... the only good thing is that it brings the sexy new sheriff knocking more often.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a sassy mystery in a small town setting with lots of laughs and adorableness along the way.
Beating the Wrap is the 3rd book in Julie Anne Lindsey’s Bonnie and Clyde Mysteries series, but can be read as a standalone.
Another great addition to the series. The location, Bliss, Georgia would be a wonderful town to live in. I wish my town had the amazing shops that Bliss has. All of the characters are well developed, but Gigi is hands down my favorite. The mystery is cleverly plotted and kept me guessing until the reveal. I highly recommend this book to all cozy readers.
I received a digital advance copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Every visit to Bliss is a pleasure; the characters are so friendly and the setting is so inviting. I love being involved in the process of getting Bonnie's house and Gigi's bakery set up. The mystery was solid but didn't overshadow the feeling of community that is prominent in each book. I really enjoy this series and I can't wait for the next one.
I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Book three in this fun new series. I thought this book was a little stronger in character development than mystery but that's ok with me. Love the characters, town, shops etc in this book so if the mystery is a little in the background that's fine but you know somehow Bonnie and Clyde are going to be involved, Mason, Mom, Dad and Gigi are going to worry and somehow inspite getting in a little too deep, Bonnie will come out the other side!
I am absolutely loving this series and this one was soooo freakin good!!! Beating the Wrap is book three of the Bonnie & Clyde Mysteries and my favorite so far. Funny and sweet with a side of murder and mystery.
There were a few moments that gave me chills and tears may have filled my eyes. This one pulled at the heart strings a bit.
Julie seriously knocked it out of the park with this one and the references to her other series was a nice touch! I’m so excited for the next book.
The human protagonist was more irritating in this one, but the brief introduction of a lady and her pet carrier with her pet chicken inside in public was kinda amusing.
I love this series. It just gets better with each book. The mystery is well done. The characters are written so well. I love seeing Bonnie's growth in this series. Bonnie gets into argument with the victim shortly before his death over her cat, Clyde. This makes Bonnie a suspect. I love Bonnie's grandmother and her parents. I can't wait to read more in this series. I have said this many times, but everyone should read Julie Anne Lindsey series. She writes her characters so realistically that you can't help but fall in love with them.
We’re back in Bliss, Georgia with Bonnie & Clyde and it’s just before Thanksgiving. Making this a perfect read for the current season! After a very public argument with a new shop owner across the square forces Bonnie to defend Clyde when he’s threatened, the new shop owner ends up dead on his front porch with a single word note from Bonnie as the only clue! Everyone, most importantly the sheriff, believes Bonnie is innocent, but Bonnie can’t sit by while someone is trying to frame her and a killer is on the loose! Even with a murder investigation going on, we get tons of character development. In fact, this was much more character driven than the previous two books and I’m not mad at all! The relationships building are just so good! Gigi is a hoot, as usual! Bud and Blossom are the sweetest couple and wonderful parents. The shop names in this town are some of the cutest and coziest I’ve ever read! I could go on and on about Julie’s writing and how it’s like being wrapped in a hug and having your heartstrings tugged at the same time. Bottom line, you should read this book and everything this amazing author has written!
