Never went to bed after the last book and just continued into this one. I have to be honest, I loved Carter way more than Seth. Maybe it's just me.
I also do not think I actually like how this book ended... She lost everything...literally. She basically has to start over with Seth and he will never remember..so that's kind of something they can't share in (memories). And, she lost her BEST friend...
I kind of was hoping that the book would end on a better note, like Seth (knowing who she is), and the other guardians that were her friends would still be friends, ya know? But, that was my hope, not the stories. LoL.
I almost want another book after this...to show their lives (Genn and Seth's). How it goes... if he EVER remembers, etc. But ya. Still a good book. I do not think I stopped crying for most of it. I loved Carter.

The third book of this series is by far the best. It was a definite page turner. The twists and turns of the book were well thought out and presented well. I enjoyed reading this book. Its a world that is fascinating and doesn't play by the rules. I like that. Its not every book that I shed a tear for and I shed like 3 tears. I like the Lucien character. I love that she made him "grey" and not black and white. She bent the rules of her make believe world and got away with it.
So I'm giving this book a 3 but i don't really know if it's a 3 or a 4 or somewhere in between. This book constantly made me frustrated and the path the author took the main character on was just so disappointing to me. While i didn't like where the author took the main character, i did somewhat enjoy the ending, so in general I'm just left really confused on what I think of this book.
OMG! This book almost gave me a heart attack.....but then an amazing ending ensued! This is one of my favorite series of all times. The perfect combination of suspense, romance, sacrifice, and friendship. Thank you Katie Klein for such a wonderfully written and captivating story.
3.5 but rounding up because I enjoyed how much of a page turner it was. Overall it’s clear this series was written in a time where trilogies were what you did. The series could definitely have just been a slightly longer duology.
But if I had to read another sentence about Genesis sweating or shivering or any number of weather patterns I was going to lose it. Maybe this is just me but I really didn’t understand what was going on with the council making humans guardians but maybe that’s just me. It’s been a while since I’ve read fantasy. If someone could explain it better I’d be so grateful lol. I also lowkey wish we could have gotten some insight into where her mom had gone off too.
Overall pretty good for a YA/ new adult dip into fantasy

Okay. I don't know how to describe this book. It was decent, but... There's this but... I seriously don't know how to describe it. :/ Even though it had good plot and there was closure -as it was the finale of the series- something feels off... My problem is that up to a point, I thought everything was okay -even though as in Vendetta it felt the chapters were weird and there were things missing- and then I started not understanding what was happening and/or why... Like it wasn't making sense..... I didn't understand why things were taking place and what was the meaning and the point and even the writer in the end (mini spoiler) makes the heroine not exactly knowing what happened or why. It felt complicated and tangled. My personal opinion is that the story is okay, it is a good fictional story, it is what Klein had in her mind and what her imagination created, but it's a little frigging tangled! I mean she could have used a little bit more description and more details and a little less jumping from one chapter to the other without us having created a better picture of what exactly took place....
Anyway, if you have read the previous two books, you won't be dissapointed, Klein leaves not questionmarks or cliffhangers and we get our resolution. In a way, it is interesting where she goes with it and the last chapters are totally unexpected, you'll NEVER guess or believe what exactly she decides will happen with the plot, and I give her an A for originality. The new character(if you choose to read the Goodreads description you'll see the name, I myself am not spoiling it) doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I don't get the reason of their existence, but I leave it to you to decide...
I recommend the series, it's a good read and the books kept me good company, I was looking forward to reading them and the story was stuck with me even when I was doing other stuff. I believe in general you'll like them if you're into fiction, romance, action and suspense...
I think this book of the series was the best one. I liked the introduction of Luke, he is too sexy, and the revelation that Viola has Seth for other reasons then I expected was great. I was glad that the author made Genesis be stronger in this book and willing to do anything and everything to get her true love back (the only reason I could handle a certain decision she made). There were some parts in this book that devastated me, my heart just broke, and then there were parts that made me swoon. I did really enjoy the book even though I gave it 4 stars. I did this because I wasn't real happy about how one of the most important things to happen occurred at the end of the book and it was rushed for one thing and how it was done made no sense, I didn't see the need to end the book this way, yes I am happy that Genesis got what she wanted but why make it complicated?
I had a hard time excepting many of the events that took place in this book. I am a true believer of the HEA, and although Genesis got her HEA, it was at the expense of many she cared about and loved. I was so sad to see the lost memories and death of so many in this book. But, Genesis got her payback and kicked some serious Council ass! You know things get crazy when you're rooting for the head demon himself... All in all it was a good ending and there was closure.
Heartbreak, owwww,,, I didn't know where to look, Seth?? What the hell... A very nice conclusion to a series i was waiting for to read the final book. It was a great read and i made me read the first two book again, because of the time in between release dates.Didn't bother me,because seriously all 3 books are really good.
If you're looking for a series you want to read, nicely written, romance, school, drama, heartbreak and a HEA, this is your choice
OH MY GOD!!!!!!! This was the best of all the series and that is saying a lot since the others were fantastic. Again, I would ave never guessed where Katie Klein was going to take this story or how she was going to have it end. I am totally blown away. Oh, have tissues ready, you WILL need them.
This was a great book, and the ending was exactly what I wanted. Granted how we got to this ending made my heart wrench but it was awesome non the less
