Alder has done it again! I like to think of Alone as the “Catching Fire” of the Hawthorn Series. It is packed full of action, twists, and excitement. The storytelling style makes you want to keep reading as you become closer to the characters and understand their deep motives.

Alder has managed yet again to expand upon fascinating concepts behind death and resurrection. I often found myself considering things that I never had before as I read Alone - and that is something that I yearn for when reading fiction.

I would highly recommend this series!

First let me say, if you liked book one, what are you waiting for, grab this thing and read it. J. Alder does an amazing job with the story and threw in a few things I didn’t expect. It’s well written and well thought out. I loved the look at a new planet and seeing Pam develop more. I will definitely be reading book three when it hits the market. Seriously, start reading this series!

Why?

Why did you end the book like you did if it's a two book series? The next book is not a continuation of this book, but another book on a similar subject. I don't understand....
