Doctors of Denver #7
Doctor's Duties
Hot older man. Check!
Doctor with a sexy accent. Check!
College professor who knocks me up. Check!!!!!!!
It all started when my controlling parents staged a horrible date.
Luckily, I was rescued by a fine specimen of a man.
Logan was a walking New Zealand Adonis,
Sporting a smile and confidence that could melt panties off.
I gladly obliged.
The next day, whispers of a hot professor fill the air at campus.
Then a familiar deep baritone voice sends shocks of electricity through my body.
Sh*t!! Sh*t!! Sh*t!!
I had a one night stand with my professor!!
I want to ignore him.
Forget we ever met.
But weeks later, my life reaches a whole new level of crazy.
Mother nature's monthly gift ghosts me and that can only mean one thing!!!

A six‑foot‑plus Kiwi professor with a smirk that could cause structural damage, and honestly I’m still trying to recover my central nervous system.
There’s a special kind of emotional carnage that happens when your parents set you up on a date so horrific it should come with a trigger warning, and then out of nowhere a New Zealand Adonis swoops in like some kind of panty‑melting guardian angel. Logan doesn’t just “rescue” her — he rescues her, with that deep baritone voice and that confident smile that could make a nun reconsider her life choices. She obliges. Of course she obliges. The universe practically shoved her into his arms.
And then the next day she walks onto campus, minding her own business, trying to pretend she didn’t just have the best night of her life, when whispers start floating around about a hot new professor. She’s rolling her eyes, thinking “good for whoever that is,” and then she hears it — that voice. That exact voice. The one that short‑circuited her brain twelve hours earlier. The panic that hits her is so visceral you can practically hear her soul scream. Because she didn’t just have a one‑night stand. She had a one‑night stand with her professor.
She tries to avoid him. She tries to pretend it never happened. She tries to bury the memory under schoolwork and denial. But Logan is the kind of man who doesn’t fade quietly into the background — he radiates presence like a lighthouse made of testosterone and bad decisions. And just when she thinks she’s stabilised, when she thinks she’s safe, when she thinks she can breathe again… Mother Nature ghosts her. Hard.
The moment she realises her period is late is the exact moment her life swan‑dives into chaos. She’s standing there, staring at the pregnancy test like it personally betrayed her, whispering “no no no no no” while the universe cackles in the background. Because of course she’s pregnant. Of course the man responsible is her professor. Of course he’s a hot older doctor with a New Zealand accent and a smile that could melt glaciers. Of course her life is now a flaming circus.
Logan, meanwhile, is Hayden Frost’s twin — which means he’s genetically engineered for maximum emotional damage. He’s charming, infuriating, magnetic, and absolutely the last man she should be tangled up with. And yet here she is, carrying his baby and trying not to combust every time he looks at her like she’s the only woman in the room.
This isn’t just a forbidden romance.
This is a “I slept with my professor and now I’m pregnant and everything is on fire” romance.
And it is gloriously, deliciously feral.

Following the Heart’s Pathway to Romantic and Professional Love
Abigail Whittington is the daughter any parent would be proud to claim. At 25, she knows who she is, what she wants and has the will, the intellectual ability and the drive to go after her dream—to find a cure for cancer. And so, the U Penn graduate, with the goal of becoming an oncologist, motivated by the grief her family experienced when her beloved maternal grandmother died as a result of cancer, is within days of beginning her medical studies at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. Not only is Abigail brilliant and willing to use her abilities for the good of all, she is beautiful with an hourglass figure, brown eyes flecked with gold and thick, wavy hair--a beautiful person in a beautiful package.
But Abby’s dream of a career in medicine is not the dream that her wealthy parents have for her. They appreciate Abigail’s beauty, brains and tender heart, but they have the vision of their only child marrying the “right man”—the man of their choosing—to align their family with the son of a family like their own, where Abigail can fulfill the her parent’s vision of a young woman of a certain social status—“pregnant in Prada," not gowned as a doctor. And so, the parents have taken Abigail’s dating and marital future into their own hands by arranging a brunch date with a son of their social and financial equals—Joshua Bramble—the smarmy, spoiled, self-aggrandizing son of wealthy parents. And, if she does not acquiesce to their expectations, she will need to find her own funding for medical school.
So, Abby, determined to escape her parents plans, slips out of her parents determined plans and arrangements, seeking refuge in one of her study hangouts—Cherry Creek—a favorite coffee shop. Unfortunately, Josh, who was the guest of her parents at brunch, follows her and begins his aggressive, intrusive and literally under the table assault, working his hand over her legs, hidden by the table top. However, fate is at work.
Observing the uninvited and obviously un-welcomed physical attentions by the young pursuer, Logan Frost, a 39-year-old doctor, writer and med school oncology prof, but a stranger to the two Cherry Creek patrons, can’t tolerate a man pressing his attentions on an unwilling recipient. Crossing the coffee shop, Logan ably brings a halt to the obviously undesired attention, further emphasizes his right to intervene on behalf of the beautiful, but most unwilling party in the under-the-table antics, as “The Boyfriend.” And, his act of welcome intervention earns Logan thanks and an invitation to join her for coffee from the very thankful Abby.
KC Crowne’s continuation of the Doctors of Denver series provides the reader with a twisted path of love as the heroine is challenged by the wishes of controlling parents and the desires of the heroine’s heart—medical school and the very welcome attentions of an older man who, surprisingly, is also a professor at the Denver University Medical School where she is about to matriculate on her journey to become an oncologist. Each entry in this Doctors of Denver can be read independently, but it is fun to follow the intertwining paths of the Denver medical community.

Logan and Abby meet in the local coffee shop after Abby has an argument with her overbearing parents that tried to set her up with a lunch date with a rich friends son in hopes of marriage and babies then according to her dad Abby will drop the notion of getting her Medical degree, her parents believe she needs to marry rich, she comes from rich so that means she doesn’t need to work, no need for a degree! So while Abby is at the coffee shop in walks the absolutely most gorgeous man she has ever seen in her lifetime, while he is ordering coffee the jerk Abbys parents have been trying to set her up with came in all cocky and started flirting and placing his hands on her and Logan did not like this when because he walked in and saw her he was pretty sure she was the without a doubt the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. So he gets his drink and casually walks over, towers over the table, looks down and says to Josh “Is there a reason why you have your hand on my girlfriends thigh”? Whoa, after a few back and forth words amongst the three of them Josh takes off out of there like a flash with Abby confirming Logan as her boyfriend. That’s just the beginning of the deceit and the stories that Logan and Abby dream up trying to help out her situation with her parents. So much fun, so many lies they start having trouble keeping up with what the truth is and the fact that they both seem to be falling in love but neither one can recognize that fact. I really enjoyed Logan and Abby’s story their chemistry was red hot it just seemed inevitable and as plain as the nose on your face that they should be together. As with all the previous books in the Doctor’s of Denver Series once you start reading you absolutely cannot put them down until you get to the last page, and they are the kind of stories that make you feel good, happy kinds of story’s that we all need that leave you with a smile on your face. Such wonderful stories. I really don’t want them to come to an end! I recommend these books. I am so looking forward to the next one of the series. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.

This was a fantastic read and I loved all the characters and the parts they played. Abigail Whittington comes from a wealthy family and having a father that old School and old fashioned doesn’t help, Abigail wants to be a Dr in Oncology after her grandmother passed away from cancer but her father wants her to get married and settle down and have kids with a man of his choosing because that’s what women are for in his eyes and while he is paying her bills at Med school she must obey her father some what. At lunch with her parents they spring a date on her and it’s Josh Bramble and Abby never liked the guy and so she refuses and her father tells her he will cut her off if she doesn’t agree. Later at the coffee shop Josh comes in thinking her has a claim on her and puts his hand on her thigh and she is furious but holds back and doesn’t make a scene and just then a gorgeous older man comes in and sees what’s going on and saves Abby by tell the guy to get his hands off his girlfriend or else and Josh panics and leaves leaving Abby all smiles for the mystery man who introduces himself as Logan. Dr Logan Frost sees a beautiful woman being malled by someone in the coffee shop and goes to save her and it works but that’s not the only reason he did it, it was because he wants to get to know this stunning woman better, Abigail (Abby) is her name and he asks her out to dinner and she agrees and what an amazing time they have and they end up back at his place and spend a hot and steamy night together. Now they find themselves at Med School together he is the Professor and she the student so they need to keep this a secret and they both agree. Abby’s parents drop in at her apartment trying to fix her up with a date again but she tells them she is seeing someone and that’s where the lies start and they build up from there and Logan is just as much to blame for these lies as Abby is but it works and her parents back off. The drama with the parents and the lies building up and the secret that could destroy them both it’s hard to see a future but you never know.

Dr. Logan Frost rescued Abby from a to fresh guy in the coffee shop, which turned out to be a guy her parents wanted her to marry. They were paying for her education, so they thought they should get to pick her husband. Her dad also believed that women were only good for keeping house and having babies. Women should never have careers. Abby's biggest dream was to some day be a doctor specializing in oncology, since her grandmother died of breast cancer. That evening after Logan rescued Abby, they went to dinner at a top of the line restaurant ending up and Logan's home for the night. Abby had decided that with her class schedule, it was going to have to turn into a one and done no matter how terrific the chemistry was between them. On the first day of classes in a few days they were both shocked to discover that Logan turned out to be one of Abby's professors. Now they were in real trouble even though, their date had been prior to classes starting, and they were no longer seeing each other it was still a problem. Then there was Abby's parents still putting pressure on her. They were wanting her to go to a benefit to meet eligible young men, when she told her mom she was dating someone, but she did not give a name. Her parents showed up to take her to the benefit, and she had forgot about it. Once again, she fell back on the excuse she was dating someone, and he was a doctor plus a best selling author. They wanted to meet him, so Abby proceeded to make the arrangements. That was when the house of cards started to fall apart. They had managed to keep their relationship under wraps until the parents became involved. Logan and Abby could not keep their hands off each other if they were within reach of each other. They had a special immediate bond when they met that they just knew each other and believed in each other. As always another one of Ms. Crowne's books that I could not put down until I finished it.

Doctor's Duties by KC Crowne is book 7 in the Doctors of Denver series. This is Logan's and Abby's story. He is the twin of Hayden (book 6). Logan, born and bred in New Zealand 39 years ago, is a doctor, professor and a best selling novelist. He meets Abby in a coffee shop and comes to help her with a pushy, rich cad. They both feel an incredible attraction which leads to more. Abby, 25, comes from a rich family. She has wanted nothing more than to be an Oncology doctor since she was little. Now in med school she is a brilliant student. Too bad her parents don't see it that way. They want her married to a rich, approved man who keeps her pregnant and shopping. They want it so much they threaten to pull their support in order to force the issue.
Abby enjoyed her night with Logan but ghosted him in the morning. She thought she would never see him again until he walks into her class. He is her professor. They try to keep it professional but the heart wants and it gets. Abby comes up with a scheme to tell her parents she has a boyfriend but he ups it and tells them they are married. Complicate things with another student who wants Logan and can be quite the b!tch. Also what will the university think of him dating his student.
KC Crowne's books never fail to inject humor into the plot. Doctor's Duties is steamy, fun addition to her works. She write a plot that has s£x in it rather than just trying to fit some words around acts. The story reads quickly with no heavy, dark scenes. Even with the difference between their ages this couple have chemistry. They are believable. Each book in the series is a stand alone with a happy ending. The series doesn't need to be read in order but there are reoccurring characters throughout the books. Doctor's Duties doesn't have any lag in the plot and kept me engaged the entire read. Do yourself a favor and add this to your summer reads.

Downhill from a great beginning. 3.5*
An absolutely fantastic opening with such great potential! However, as the storyline unfolded, the plot became flatter and flatter. Apart from the fact that the author created a male character that is more amazing than Superman, a university professor of oncology, a best-selling fiction author, who spent years delivering health care to the poorest of the poor within Medicine without Borders and who runs a free clinic for those without health insurance, all rolled into one. Add to that mix a character who is charming, naturally intelligent, over six feet with a body of an athlete and who is handsome as sin. I know that romantic literature is a bit of escapism, but Logan is simply too over-the-top. Lucky that Abby had no idea who he really was, or she would have been too intimidated to accept his dinner invitation. As the reader can guess, dinner turns into a lot more and there begin a cascade of events that should by all accounts keep them apart. An age gap of 14 years, him being Abby’s professor at university, Abby having the most overbearing, rich parents who would have sent any guy running to the hills. All that tension points and contributing factors should have resulted in a cracking storyline. Instead, the whole novel petered out into quite a lame story. I couldn’t help but wonder, where did all the elements of character that have made Logan as successful as he was, turn him into one that just went with the flow. Sure, we get a HEA, but can’t help feeling sad at the loss of the initial momentum of this novel. On the plus side, some of the scenes, particularly ones with Emma are very realistically described and the private moments depicting the attraction between Abby and Logan were quite graphic and scorching hot.

“Oh what tangled webs we weave.” That saying is very fitting for this delightful romance between a beautiful and brilliant young med student and the older, very handsome and accomplished professor and doctor with whom she shared a very passionate interlude. Abby’s parents think her dreams of a career in medicine are all for nought because they have plans for her to marry rich and settle into being only a wife and mother. She doesn’t need to work and shouldn’t, or so they keep telling her. But Abby doesn’t want to be an oncologist just for the prestige and money. She really wants to make a difference and honour her grandmother who died from breast cancer. When Logan shows up to rescue her from a would be suitor he parents selected, she is very happy to go along with his ruse of being his girlfriend. The ruse leads to a date, and the date a much more steamy and passionate encounter. Abby does a bit of ghosting afterward, determined to devote her time to her studies, only to discover that her professor for one of her classes is Logan…the object of her overheated dreams. They each agreed to keep their passionate night together a secret, as it could ruin them both, but the fierce attraction between them whittles away any resistance to being together. They find themselves indulging in more steamy, intimate sessions, then struggling to cover it up, standing up to her parents and thwarting a stalker. The whole thing becomes a series of lies, half-truths and steamy encounters that make this story highly entertaining and captivating. I just couldn’t put this book down until I finished the last page.

Abigail comes from a wealthy family and is currently enrolled in medical school with her main concentration in oncology because she wanted to cure the dreaded disease that killed her grandmother. Her parents aren't happy with her career and educational choices because they'd much rather she be a stay at home trophy wife to a rich man. They are currently paying her med school tuition and use this to attempt to blackmail her to date who they choose. One fateful day she has just left a brunch date with her parents who had actually turned it into a date with one of their choice suitors. She escapes that and ends up at a coffee shop where she sees a handsome older man. She sits at a table and pretends to be doing something on her laptop, when she looks up and is confronted with her parents' brunch date choice. He helps himself to a seat in front of her and puts his hand on her thigh, she gets real tense. That's when Logan, the handsome older coffee shop customer, buts in and tells her companion to get his hands off of his girlfriend. The story takes off from there with twists and turns along the way; because romance is never an easy thing. This story has wonderful, strong characters and a very interesting premise; haven't we all had a secret crush on one of our college professors? It's a very heartwarming story that keeps us intrigued until the very end. It is a definite MUST have as a contemporary romance. Who among us wouldn't love to be swept off of our feet by a sweet guy who would do anything to help us, even if it puts one of his careers in jeopardy. Definitely two thumbs up!

DOCTOR’ S DUTIES
by K.C. Crowne
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Abigail Whittington has had it with her meddling parents! In an attempt to ward off her latest suitor, Josh, she flees to her favorite coffee bar to tell her problems to her favorite barista. Her parents do not agree with her chosen path… being an oncologist. Unfortunately, her parents will not get off her back until she’s married to “a suitable” man. While she’s trying to get rid of Josh, ( who won’t take no for an answer), up comes the beautiful stranger to save her day! Dr. Logan Frost has been watching Abby’s futile attempts to get rid of Josh, up comes Dr. Frost(Logan) to stake his claim as her boyfriend! Josh scurries way in a huff. LOL! Thus begins the ultimate in play-acting! The two start talking and it turns out that Logan needs a wife, just for a while until his family will give him the position and respect he needs. Kind of like ‘Strangers on a Train’. Well, of course, one thing leads to another and they both get what they need, albeit in a round about way! I love both Josh and Abby, but detest her controlling, snobby parents! Can all, or any of this plan work out? A rather dubious proposition, to say the least! Will anyone come out ahead? As things get deeper and deeper one begins to wonder if anybody wins!? A delightful and frustrating tale of two souls who just want what’s rightfully theirs!

Wow what a book! I absolutely loved it! Abby has the lifestyle many would envy but when she is being suffocated by her overbearing parents she would do anything to walk away from it. Abby wants to be a doctor, to make a difference in the world however her parents think she should be married to a man of their choosing and be a kept wife. Abby is having an uncomfortable conversation with one of the men her parents propositioned to her when Logan, the hot man that has just came into the cafe rescues her. The chemistry between Abby and Logan is just sizzling, and even though it is out of character for Abby she ends up spending the night with Logan. Abby disappears the next morning very quickly, given the age difference between her and Logan and the focus on her studies she knows nothing will come off it, then she very quickly finds out that Logan is her professor! No matter how right or wrong it is neither Logan nor Abby can deny the attraction between them and when Logan helps Abby out as her fake boyfriend things soon start to turn real between them. However when another student finds out about their relationship things look to get a lot more difficult for them both. A really great stock with fantastic characters, sizzling chemistry and lots of humour. I had a good few laughs out aloud at parts! A really easy to read book that will have you hooked from the start! Great book!

Abby and Logan's Story . . .
Abigail is from a wealthy family and is working on her medical degree. Unfortunately, her parents have a different agenda. Not believing females should have a career, they want her to marry a wealthy man for position and power and drop her foolish ideas of becoming a doctor. Because they pay her tuition, they figure that gives them the right to force their choice of dates on her. One date in particular that her parents set up is too free with his hands and she walks out.
At a coffee shop, the jerk evidently tracks her down, sits down uninvited, and inappropriately gropes her leg. Fortunately Logan had noticed her and sees she needs rescuing. He walks over and asks the obnoxious guy why he has his hand on his girlfriend? They later go out together and spend a wonderful night, which can only be this one time.
When classes start, both of them are faced with a big surprise. Dr. Logan Frost is Abby’s professor! Before the dust fully settles on that revelation, Abby realizes she is pregnant. Will Logan risk his career to do the right thing with Abby? Is she willing to even think about marriage if it’s only because of the baby? Or will they both realize how they feel and find their HEA together?
There are plenty more twists and turns in the story, as I only mentioned some of the events. So be sure to grab your copy and enjoy the full experience as they zig and zag to get out of the complicated mess while trying to figure it all out.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Abigail "Abby" Whittington and Logan Frost. Abby has just had the morning from hell. Not only did her parents remind her that without their money she couldn't be going to medical school or living in the apartment on campus. To make matters worse though they invite the guy she can't stand to brunch and then leave her with him like it is a date. She rushes to her favorite coffee place and ends up venting to her favorite barista. When she settles in to get a little studying done the one guy she doesn't want to see shows up. Lucky for her Logan showed up just before jerk face and steps in to be her knight in shinning armor. When he invites her out to dinner she readily accepts. Logan can't believe how gorgeous Abby is when he sees a guy sit down at her table in the coffee shop he thinks this has to be her boyfriend and is sad he missed his chance. When he realizes that isn't the case he wonders can they have a chance at something great? Can these two find a HEA or when they find out more about one another will that be the end?
Another amazing hit in this series. These characters really pull you in and have you wanting more. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I have to say, I think this has been one of my favorite books in this series so far. The story of Logan and Abby is such a heartfelt one but at the same time full of all the laughs and excitement to keep you wanting more and more. Abby is career driven, focused and definitely not looking for love as she currently is in medical school and cannot afford anything to get in her way. Interestingly enough you could even say she is avoiding the prospects of love because she has her sites set on her dreams. Her family seems to have other plans for her and it is always the families best intentions that seem to drive us the craziest. Even though we think we are on one path sometimes fate has a way of intervening. That could be why Abby meets Logan at a fated moment in a cafe. She has no idea who he really is and him the same for her. You will be drawn into the exciting world of Abby and Logan and to all the excitement that begins to happen between them; not wanting to stop until you get to the very end! The big question becomes, will their chance meeting lead them to ending up together? Will Abby achieve her dreams? Will her family get their way and get to choose the life they want for her? Enjoy this fantastic book and you are sure to get all the answers!

Logan is a handsome, mature, doctor and published author. He has it together and is one of Denver's most eligible bachelors. I absolutely love his character and could not get enough of him. I love how he did not allow himself to be blackmailed or intimidated. His character was strong and on point. He spoke his mind and did not feel the need to buckle under pressure. Abby on the other hand, has a way to go. I really felt the age difference between the two. Not because of their actual ages, but mainly because Abby seemed a bit immature for her age. Allowing her parents to dictate her life and trying to force her into a relationship with someone she was not interested in, all because they were paying for her educational expenses, was ludicrous. Her cousin had to tell her that she should look into getting scholarships. For someone that was so smart, I felt like she was too complacent in this sense. I was happy they received a HEA because they were in love. I just feel as though, her character needed to be stronger. I like to think that Logan will help her character develop into the mature, confident woman he deserves at his side.

I voluntarily review an arc of this book. I’ve read a lot of books by K.C. Crowne. It is a great book. I love the characters in this book. I felt bad for Abby her parents are pain in the ass. They used that they paid for her school against her. They love to control her. They think that she should be a doctor. They believe that she should get married and start having kid. Having lunch with her parents and them trying to make her date Josh. They had him show up as they are eating lunch. She tells them that need leave and study. She go to her favorite coffee house. She talking to the barista all about her lunch with her parents. A man come in and both Abby and barista think he is beautiful. As she was sitting at coffee house Josh show up. He said he will take his date right now. The man go over to save her by saying that he is boyfriend. She end talking with the man and he ask her to dinner. She go to dinner and back to his house. She leave the next morning and make the choice to never see him again. Will she let him back in her life. I can’t wait to read more books by Crowne. I will recommend this book and authors.

Abby is in med school with plans to be an oncologist and a bet with her best friend to beat him and be 1st in her class. Her parents are very controlling and expect her to get her degree but then stay home as a trophy wife bare foot and pregnant. They threaten to stop paying her tuition and withholding her stipend if she doesn’t bow to their expectations. Logan is a best selling author and a top oncologist currently working as the head of the oncology studies at the University of Colorado. When he happens to see Abby in what appears to be a very uncomfortable and unwanted conversation with a guy who’s getting handsy, Logan steps in and tells him to get his hands off his girlfriend. This leads to a dinner date that night followed by spending the evening together. Now she is in her first class of the semester and her professor is none other than Logan. Things snowball from there with one lie that grows into such complicated scenarios that you can’t help but laugh at the interactions. This is a fun read with several twists.

If it’s possible this series gets better. The characters in this book were so amazing and real. Who hasn’t had parents that tried to control their lives, Abby knows all about that. Coming from a wealthy family you think she’d have it easy, but considering her parents pulled the purse strings things were not always happy for her. All she wanted to do was be an oncology doctor. All her parents wanted for her was to be married and have children. She should not have to work. Enter mystery man Logan comes to her rescue in a small coffee shop against the perfect man her parents want for her. Turns out Logan may be 14 years older than Abby but they are perfect together. Besides being an author Logan is also a teacher of medicine. After a fantastic night together where they clicked so perfectly they soon find out that Logan is Abby‘s professor. Talk about complicated. Abby has amazing friends which are pretty free with their advice, and Logan is always there to stand by her no matter what it cost him. Now if they can just convince her parents. Such an amazing book, with a great ending. Two people you are absolutely cheering for throughout the book no matter how many obstacles they have.

I live each and every K C Crowne book, and she can really write some good ones!!! In this one, you get Abby ( Abigail ) and Dr. /Professor Logan Frost. They meet quite by chance, before they each know he is one of her college professors at medical school. Abby us abitious, driven, fun, and beautiful, all the things Logan really find attractive about her. Logan is kind, older, and accomplished, a writer, and a doctor. All the things that she really likes. He’s also well off, which he handles much better than the usual people in Abby’d parents super well off “in” crowd. Abby’s father prefers she drop out of college, marry for money, and position, get pregnant, and just shop and plan parties. Abby hates this more than a thousand Suns.
Logan and Abby get closer, even though it endangers them both with the higher ups at the college. Then, everything goes crazy!!!
A super huge wonderful must read!!!!
I plan in buying a copy as well, of course!!!

Accidentally Finding Love And Support -
When Abby and Logan met, the sparks between them sizzled so much that they had no choice but to act on it. Unfortunately, they were not aware that their lives were about to get really complicated. Even through their dire situation, they were unable to overcome their feelings and decided to embark on a secret relationship by sneaking around.
However, their journey to having a happy life was riddled with blackmail, overbearing parents and an unexpected surprise, which finally gave them the courage to reveal the truth and accept the consequences.
This is a touching story that had me hooked, as it pulled me in and kept me riveted from the beginning until the end. It had me crossing my fingers and toes for an outcome that would showcase both of them in a positive light and change the chauvinistic mindset of Abby’s parents. It is another definite must read from a talented author.

Doctor's Duties: A Secret Baby Romance is the seventh book in K. C. Crowne Doctors of Denver series.
✳ It's a doctor/professor student romance
✳ A hot older man younger girl trope
✳ Professor got his student pregnant
✳ Sexy Adonis with a New Zealand accent
✳ Young med student
✳ Forbidden relationship
✳ Surprise baby
✳ Protective alpha male
It was a chance meeting between Abby and Logan when Abby tried to get away from her overbearing mom who tried to set her up on d and dated. Logan rescued her by pretending to be her boyfriend and the two ended up spending a passion filled night together. She was blown away when she showed up for class and saw that he was her professor. The town was definitely too small how could a hot one night stand with a stranger turns out to be her teacher. The story was exceptionally written with well developed characters great secondary characters and easy to follow. A great plotline with blazing chemistry. I always enjoy reading K. C. Crowne books.

Abby has dreams of becoming an oncologist (cancer specialist). Her folks want her to be an at home mom to some other wealthy family that they choose, and will not leave her alone about it. The latest jerk follows her to a coffee shop and puts his hand on her thigh. Logan sees this from across the shop, as the tension in her posture straightens. He comes to the rescue and a plan against her parents forms... and snowballs into a fake marriage and then a real baby.
The characters are heartwarming and caring, with intense feelings and emotions. Loved the banter between her two gay friends. Her best friend and roommate is there for her at every step, and sounds like an awesome chef as well. The storyline has suspense dealing with college policy and the classmate issue. Twists and surprises pop up to keep you on the edge of your seat. Loved Logan and Abby working it all out and hitting everyone with the truth. Perfect ending.

Abby's parents want her to settle down, they are more than happy for her to get her medical degree but they have no intention of her using it. They are old fashioned and think that she should have a husband to support her. After a disastrous brunch where they try to force a date on her, Abby escapes to a local coffee shop to hide out and carry on with her studying. But when the date tracks her down to the coffee shop, she is rescued by a sexy stranger called Logan who pretends to be her boyfriend.
After introducing themselves they agree to have dinner together and Abby ends up spending the night with Logan. But Abby is not prepared for the next time she sees Logan, when he walks into her first class of the semester as her professor.
I enjoyed this story, it can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the other books in the series too.

This book brings us Dr. Logan Frost, a doctor and professor from New Zealand, and Abigail (aka) Abby, a medical student studying to become an oncologist to cure cancer. She watched her grandmother suffer and so her studies are the most important thing to her. Her parents, however, want her to marry someone and become a "country club wife." They keep trying to set her up with stuffy shirt guys, which she is not at all interested in. On one of those such occasions, Logan realizes that Abby doesn't want this guy around, so he pretends to be her boyfriend. Abby is shocked, but there is something about him that makes her agree to go on a date with him. They gave a special night together, and then surprise, surprise, they find out that he is Abby's Professor. They agree to not see each other again, but circumstances keep bringing them together. This was such a great read and I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

Doctor's Duties is part of the Doctors of Denver series by K.C. Crowne; however, the story stands on its own and reading previous stories is not essential to the enjoyment of this book (but does enhance enjoyment). This is the 7th book in the Doctors of Denver series, and this is Logan and Abigail's story. Abigail is a medical student studying oncology much to her parents annoyance as they would prefer she be a trophy wife. They are wealthy and though they pay he tuition it comes at a cost, they consistently try to set her up with would be suitors. Logan comes to her rescue pretending to be her boyfriend. He turns out be a professor at the same college. As their pretend relationship turns real, they become closer and this causes problems with her family and the college administration. Highly intriguing book to read.

Enjoyed reading about Logan and Abby, so much love between them.
Abby had controlling parents who tried to set her up with all the rich eligible bachelors. Abby had her own aspirations for her life, she wanted to be an oncologist because she watched her grandmother die from cancer. Her parents felt she didn’t need to work but be a trophy wife and have children. Her dad was really the worst by threatening to not support her anymore. Logan was an Oncology doctor who had worked with Doctors Without Borders. He also was a writer and a professor at the Colorado Medical School where Abby was a student. Logan and Abby met at a coffee shop after he ran off the guy who her parents had tried to set her up with. Abby and Logan had an instant attraction but they both felt he was too old for her but it didn’t stop the attraction they had for one another. Beautiful love and I recommend it.
