A young woman, cast out by her family. A man, desperate to find his mate.
On the worst day of her life, Silver Remington never expected to be approached by a large, beautiful white wolf. She felt an inexplicable bond with him, wishing she could find the same link with a human.
Dax Ishal was the first born son of the pack alpha and, as such, in line to take his father’s place. There was just one problem. Pack law demanded any alpha be paired with their fated mate before they could step up. At 34 years old, he’d all but lost hope he’d ever find her.
Stumbling across his mate, desolate and sobbing, in the park came as a total shock. As a human, how would she react when she learned about shifters?
Violence lurks in the shadows. Not everyone in the pack is happy about Dax finding his mate. What happens when what you want most in the world is threatened?
This is a HEA story with no cliffhangers. Due to adult content and language, this book is intended for readers 18+

The plot is decent but predictable. This felt like any other werewolf/wolf-shifter story I've read on the likes of Wattpad or Readict. Didn't really add anything new, but the story was still cute. I enjoyed the beginning a lot when Dax and Silver first meet, but grew a little bored with it after the 5o% mark and found myself skimming a bit to get through it. I'd recommend this story for those who are new to this type of paranormal romance and looking for a good starting point as it's a short read, not too smutty, and fast-paced.
This book contains sexual content, swearing and a brief scene of violence/abuse.
Dax is a shifter who is searching for his fated mate. Silver is a human whose life hasn't always been the greatest. When these two meet it is intense but something happens that could destroy any happiness between them.
Dax is a really great guy. From the moment he meets Silver he is kind and caring towards her, something she is missing in her life. Silver is a very relatable character. The other characters in this story are also intriguing to read about.
The book as a whole is a rather short one but there is enough content in the story that it's still a satisfying read.
If you like hot romance featuring alphas or shifters then this is the one for you.
Dax is the fist born son of an Alpha and is expected to take over the position when his father retires. In order for him to accept the position, he has to be mated. So far in his thirty-four years there has been nobody. His brother, Cole, who has a mean streak and does not treat women well (including his mate) will do anything to stop his brother become Alpha. He also does not like humans living in the same community as shifters. Dax is out running one time and hears a woman crying in the park. He sniffs and realizes that it is his mate. He approaches Silver in his wolf form and she comes over to him. She sits with him and tells him her problems. Silver has been kicked out of her house, due to her lack of a career. She spends one night at a friends house, then finds a cheap motel. When she returns one day after her work shift, a man grabs her and almost rapes her. Dax is there to stop the situation and their story begins. Cole also kidnaps Silver to make sure Dax does not get the Alpha position. You will have to read this in order to find out what happens. This is a good book to read.
This is the first time I’ve read this author but it will not be my last. The characters are well developed and the storyline intriguing, suspenseful and drama filled. Dax needs to find his fated mate to stop his brother from taking over the pack when his father steps down. It’s not going well for him until he scents a wonderful aroma and he knows it’s his fated mate. The only catch is that she’s human. Silver is a human that lives with her parents that she is always treated like the red headed step child of her five siblings. She is kicked out of her families home which never felt like a home to her and she meets Dax in wolf warm but she is not scared of him. Cole, Dax’s brother, has a problem with Silver because she is human, none of the rest of the pack shares Cole’s views. Will Cole step aside now that the oldest son has found his mate? Will Silver be able to step into the role of the alpha’s wife?
DNF - quit at 18% Other readers might enjoy this, but it just wasn’t for me. The writing felt flat & did not pull me into the story. There are emotions documented in the writing for the characters (characters saying they are mad/happy/excited or whatever) but I never felt the emotions thru their actions or the writing. In turn, that made the story feel a bit forced/cobbled together (maybe like it’s rough draft in form), not flowing naturally, since I wasn’t feeling the emotions. I can’t explain what caused me to lose interest, in the end, the story just didn’t click with me.
At my age (approaching 60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
Dax has to have a mate in order to take over as Alpha. He's been looking for quite a while then he finds Silver sitting on a bench in the park and she is crying. Silver is the youngest child in her family and she's never been wanted by her family. Then she meets a white wolf in the park and she's feels a connection to him. Dax knows Silver is his fated mate. They go through so much which includes being kidnapped by Dax's younger brother but, in the end, they complete the mating ceremony and get their happily ever after.
First time reading this author and enjoyed every written word, I'm a fan of shifter stories and have read a plenty. The plot, suspense, mystery, betrayal, action and the very well written characters both main and supporting all made for a really great read. Would love to read more from this author but I can't seem to find any, oh well anyway I really enjoyed this story.
I always enjoy shifters stories. This was was good but I couldn't understand Silver's back story. There was something missing for me. And I just didn't agree with a strong wolf being jailed without breaking out. Needed more info. And what was the mate to do now. The happy ending for the Alpha and Alpha wife was endearing, but I felt there were holes I wanted filled. I wouldn't mind maybe prequels into the families.
Lisa’s first PNR is every bit as good as her other books. Dax and Silver are two very relatable and likeable characters. Faced with adversity, can they find a way to the other side? Grab the book and find out!
The story has two main arcs - one of love and one of growing into leadership. Fast paced with great character development. I think Dax’s parents were my favorite characters. Fun read.
Yep. Loved. Although sometimes a short read can feel incredibly rushed and feel like a lot of things are happening at once, this didn't. Plot was really good, drama and action packed! Loved the relationship between Dax and Silver!
The story is alright, though predicable and thin with emotional stuff. We move forward in the story without having the characters be able to form a bond with each other. So it really wasn’t for me.
What an enjoyable read, I liked that this book had a bit of everything , shifter , love , family, kidnapped , Hea .. will certainly look for more books by this author
This reeks of Mormon or high schooler fantasy, with extreme basicness and Mary Sue family values. Wolf shifter books tend to be like Cheeto puffs -- nutritionally void but an easy pleasure to gobble thru. But this book is like packing peanuts for a snack, blech.
