CEO’s Replacement Bride

I couldn’t put the book up. I know it was super long but I really loved it. Been reading this every second that I had free time, between breaks at work and after work. It was so sad that it took Yohan and Jasmine a long roundabout way to finally be together. Reminds me of an Asian drama.

Cultural hack job

LONG! Lots of misspelling or translation Chinese to English very bad. The first names of principles are Western as is photo of couple on book cover. It becomes clear characters are Chinese. The story takes on a story line of what I’ve recognized in some Asian TV soaps and books as the virtuous female that preserves thru tragic circumstances.
Outcast from birth to an orphanage, lower casted miss treated.
Excepting of being slapped and forced into marry a man who abuses her.She is helplessly in love with Yohan and excepts his bad treatment. She allows herself to be subservient to everyone’s mistreatment. Jasmine just takes it and takes it. Her twin sister Jacquline completely abuse, lies and has her falsely in prisoned and everyone stands back allows and support her actions, including Jasmine’s husband.
This drags on for 400 chapters of one unbelievable misfortune or abuse after another. Just when it could not possible get any worse we get the dread of every white woman. “ 5 big black men rape her” Yes folks we have 5 African men brought into China for the purpose of raping the white woman, and one has HIV aids.
When it could get no worse we play the racist angle.
The only thing that kept me reading this was 1 question , who had it out for this twin sister and why? I ain’t going to lie I swiped thru huge amounts of repetitive storyline after another I mean there is only so much abusive treatment of one person you can take.
Maybe this is culturally acceptable treatment of women , but I say ”We’ve come a long way baby, this is the 21st century put on big girl panties and speak up for yourself “ or is this someone’s sad misappropriation to Asian culture ?

I read it through even though it was riddled with many grammatical errors. In a way it was interesting because it's how a person would probably confuse the pronouns if English was a second language. It made reading very interesting trying to decipher different thoughts. Also, one important character started out as Anthony and then he suddenly became Andrew without an explanation, other than it was a major mistake. I finished it but it's a series. Don't think I will continue since it's too, too wordy.

Loved this story. It is written by I believe a Chinese author so you have to remember this when reading. If it was all changed into wording that would make it all American the story would not seem as good and take away from the Chinese culture of which it takes place. . Can't wait for book 2.

Unfinished Ending

I enjoyed this book. Until the end which isn't completed. Editing should have better proof readers I would have given more stars.

The story was captivating and kept me wanting to read more until the very end. It ended as a cliff-hanger and was very disappointing.

Crappy ending

The story was long , riveting, with an abrupt ending, like it is missing a chapter or two very weird.

Be Aware!

This was an extremely long story that was poorly written, very hard to follow along with and subject matter that could definitely be triggers for most readers!!!
