When I meet Georgia Chandler—or rather, come to her rescue—I see the quick admiration in her bright green gaze. I let her know right away, I’m not looking for anything in Eden, PA, not a companion, a date, not a tour guide, nothing. And I’m pretty sure I mean it. She is not anywhere near my type, not at all. But that doesn’t stop me from thinking about her, with annoying constancy.
Georgia
Well, Charlie Beck seems to have been dropped from the sky, an answer to all my girlish dreams of a knight in shining armor. Too bad he doesn’t share in my instant and overwhelming fascination, has no similar want to know more, see more, have babies together, anything. So isn’t that me, really shocked, when he kisses me one night after he’s already rejected me after I kind-of-sort-of-maybe asked him out? Twice. Sure, heartbreak will be the price, but I’m not so ridiculous to pass up even one night with him.
Charlie and Georgia meet when she is out walking her dog and gets accousted by two strange men. Charlie moves to Georgia's aid and scares the men away. Georgia is so thankful for his help. Charlie scoulds her for not paying attention to her surroundings. She asks him out to thank him but he tells her no. Charlie eventually can't deny her and they get together.
I have enjoyed Georgia and Charlie's story, they were interesting characters and made for good reading. Their story was a bit bumpy but full of passion, chemistry and connection. The added extra in the epilogue was a surprise....I'm sad to say goodbye to this series. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.
Charlie never wanted to settle down. He likes his quiet life and job with his friends. That all changes when Georgia stumbles into his line of sight and his heart and mind can't stop thinking about her.
Georgia is like Lily in this series… but Georgia kinda scares me lol. She is wicked smart but kinda in her own head. And Charlie is a loner and can’t stay away from Georgia.
