A Brock Clemons Western #10

Abilene: A Western Adventure

Rate this book
Abilene opens with Brock and his group in a huge fistfight in Denver and Huck and those traveling with him fighting off the murderous cattle rustlers of the Triple J. The excitement and danger only grow from there.

When Brock and his finally leave Denver, heading for their new life in Montana, they are attacked by two separate outlaw bands, as well as by a half dozen angry Kiowa warriors. Tragedy strikes right away when two members of their group are gunned down. One lives. One doesn’t, and Brock has to deal with the pain of feeling he’s caused the death one of his long-time friends.

Huck is doing what he can in Abilene to make sure they can leave town safely, with new cowboys and two thousand head of cattle, but the men of the Triple J have other ideas and are only too happy to kill to get what they want.

Alex and Dario are learning how different life is on the trail than it was in their previous life, and Tom wrestles with having killed his first man—was it self-defense or murder?

Montana, the dream for all of them, is starting to seem very far away, and we follow both Brock and Huck to see if they can lead those traveling with them to safety and a new life.

About the author

Scott Harris

Award-winning and best-selling Western author Scott Harris is a lifelong Western enthusiast who traces his love of Western fiction back to his childhood days of reading Louis L’Amour novels.

Harris has published ten novels in the past year, along with two collections of short stories and a variety of other fiction and nonfiction Westerns.

The Brock Clemons Western Series follows the tale of Brock Clemons and his journey into the West accompanied by his horse, “Horse,” and wolf, “Wolf.” The Brock Clemons story — especially when he is joined by his new wife, Sophie and his adopted son, Huck — is one of bravery, adventure and romance, transporting readers back to a time when chivalry, courage and gunfights ruled the day in the West.

Harris’ second series, Caz: Vigilante Hunter, is a different take on the Western genre. With gun in hand, Caz blasts his way through the bad guys to bring peace and justice to the Old West!

Caz is looking for two things: the perfect breakfast and men who think they’re above the law. He hasn’t yet found a breakfast to match what his mom used to make, but there’s a trail of dead men behind him that shows he’s having no trouble finding bad men.

Harris also authors the well regarded 52 Weeks Series, the Western Adventure Series and the 500 Word Micro Short Series. Additionally, he is about to release A Novel Journey, a non-fiction book about writing your own Western novel and recently released Six Gun Pardners, a book a he co-authored with his son, Justin. He is also soon releasing the first novel in his newest series, Stagecoach Willy.

Harris, who loves nothing more (except for his family!) than settling into his hammock with a glass of bourbon, a cigar and a great Western, has created a Western world filled with fascinating and exciting characters and he hopes you enjoy reading about them as much as he does writing about them.

Enjoy!

A very heartwarming compilation of unending adventures as Brock and his crew start their journey to Montana to star raising cattle! They send screw into Abilene to purchase their cattle and the fun begins!

Most definitely another five star series of unending exciting, yet compassionately heartwarming episodes that piques your interest immediately, and only intensifies with each new encounter! Huck is charged with buying the cattle and hiring a professional group of cowboys to assist in moving them from Abilene! The families, who have moved on forward are accosted by two groups of outlaws, and Matt is seriously injured in the first shootout! Fortunately, Willie and Ten, of The Stagecoach Series, have become part of their entourage, and assists on the demise of the intruders!
Mr. Harris's outstandingly descriptive storylines successfully portrays the compassion and dedication of the ongoing adventures that immediately grabs your undivided attention and never withers away from beginning to end! Too his superbly descriptive character selections were unsurpassed in their commanding assignments throughout this descriptive rendition of unending exciting, and heartwarming, series of old American western folklore extravaganza!
Most definitely recommend this compassionately motivated story to all readers, but especially to those addicted western folklore fanatics, as I proudly profess to be! You will, most definitely, be hooked immediately and never lose your undivided reading attention until the final paragraph has been read! Even you non-western enthusiasts will be completely engrossed, and fully engrained immediately, as Brock, his family, and associates, lead you through their trials and tribulations during their journey West!!!😃
