Reno has been running from his past for a long time. As a powerful alpha tied to the notorious ruling family of the wolves, he wants nothing more than to lay low and never be found. Even if he still dreams of the woman he was forced to leave behind for her own safety. But when she walks into a bar in the middle of nowhere, close to Dragonclaw Ranch, Reno can’t believe the hand fate has dealt him. Because after rescuing the gorgeous woman he has always loved and holding her once again, he doesn’t think he can ever let her go.
Dani has never forgiven Reno, or Remi, as she knew him, for running away after prom and the kiss of a lifetime. When she finds the Uber-rich, prestigious wolf working on a ranch and hiding out, she has no idea what’s going on. One thing’s for sure, the heat between them is hotter than ever, and Dani can’t resist getting involved again with this rugged, manlier version of the boy she loved, even with danger hot on their heels.
As passion explodes between the lovers beneath the Texas sky, the past is catching up and new enemies are gathering for an attack on everything Reno and Dani hold dear. If the shifters of Dragonclaw Ranch want to save their world and land, they’ll have to all fight together, and hold onto each other for dear life.
Rogue Wolf is the 5th and last book in the Texas Dragons series. It contains violence, action and adventure, steamy scenes and a whole lotta wolf love.
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

In the final installment of the Texas Dragons series, we follow Reno- a rogue alpha wolf.
It’s a second chance romance that poses a fresh dynamic in the series of two people who already know each other and acknowledge their attraction to each other at the very beginning of the story. The conflict comes in Reno pushing her away in an attempt to protect her from assassins and wolf-shifted supremacists.
Yes. That is the plot.
Once again, the world building is underdeveloped in a way that drives me crazy considering there’s so much information and potential to be properly fleshed out. The author could’ve stuck to just plain old shifters without attempting a complex secret world with various societies and groups attempting a grab for power but, for whatever reason, she decided to make things harder on herself in a convoluted plot with a million holes in it.
Experimental shifter fusions ? Beasts created as weapons of mass destruction ?
We learn about new monsters that exist in this universe randomly and out of nowhere as convenient plot devices (usually before a big fight to explain secret powers/abilities).
It’s a mess. The series, as a whole, is ok at best with a writing style and approach to dialogue that makes me wonder if the author learned what Texans are through cartoons and old western films.
CW: explicit sexual content, violence, blood, murder, death, kidnapping
Reno, the big, strong alpha wolf mechanic for Dragonclaw Ranch. He is an integral part of this family of mixed shifters. But there is a sadness deep in Reno, a darkness he unveils to no one. So many thoughts and concerns swirl around in his mind everyday, questions without answers. Perhaps there is one thought that brings a brightness to his otherwise gloomy memories, Dani. His childhood best friend he taught to fish. A beautiful girl he spent every free moment with. His beautiful Dani, the girl he kissed at prom. Only to run away and leave her alone. No longer there to protect her, to talk with, to laugh with. But that was ten years ago, she probably moved on, right? He moved away to protect her, while breaking both their hearts. So, why would she walk through the doors of this grungy bar, beautiful as ever, curves for days and sit at a table away from him? Why is she here? It's clear she doesn't recognize him. He's quite a lot bigger and with his Stetson pulled down low on his face and his aviators on, her human brain doesn't recognize it's him. But he knows it's her. And he wants her more than ever, but...she is a dream he can never have. A fantasy, a living breathing beauty, who doesn't know she carries his broken heart around with her everyday. But, evil is coming for him and it won't stop until it has him choking in its it's evil dark soul. Will he ever get the chance to tell her how he feels? He knows to keep her safe he has to stay away and love his mate in silence. He cannot bring her in to his darkness. She is already way too close.
Reno absolutely annoyed me. His reasons for abandoning his mate and continuing to keep secrets from her were lame. He should have been honest instead of making her feel like sht for years... He shouldn't have abandoned her in her grief when her mom was diagnosed and eventually died from cancer. I could understand why he left at first but not why he stayed away.
Hell, he wasn't even the one to tell her he was a shifter as an adult- Harrison did. I didn't care for him or how Dani let him string her along with his hot and cold and then so easily forgave without getting any real answers.
When he was getting ready to screw her - in one breath, she is his mate / only his and in the other he says he can't promise her forever. All she asked was he doesn't run out on her without an explanation again.. And as soon as he finds out his brother is coming for him - he plans on doing just that! When he came clean about his abuse and powers - again it was only cuz Harrison made him. F u buddy. Quit with the damn games. Why she tolerated that crap was beyond me.. I didn't care for her and definitely not Reno

I liked the story, a d with shifted novels we expect great sex scenes. Unfortunately, this book and the four before it all have the same sex scenario. I actually just skimmed it by this book. I am truly hoping when the basilisks mate, its a little more original.
Omg hahaha this book went over the top, it stopped being something paranormal with shapeshifters to become something stupid, mixed with experimentation, something too extreme from my point of view. Plus the plot got lost separated by 10 years and he then could finish them all off with no problem, very silly. Finally, the last and the worst book of the series.
We are back with the guys at Dragonclaw ranch, and this time we finally get to know the story behind the mysterious Reno, the Alpha wolf we know is more than he appears. With his story we get back to the Tribunal's crazy plans to take over the world, and see how Reno fits in that world. It all starts when Dani arrives, she is from his past, and the reason he is running away, for she is his mate and he is trying to protect her. There is a lot of drama going on about those two and Reno's reluctancy to speak about his past, but eventually as more things happens he finally has to tell his story, and once everything is on the open, it seems everything is going well, but then there is some trouble, more drama, and then our happy ending. I like this points where we get to connect the different stories, but it also feels a little frustrating that we keep getting more and more strong shifters, but when a fight happens, only the ones from that particular series appear. I liked the different pace of this series, and I loved the characters. I would have liked a little more about his past, and a better understanding of what is going on with the wolves in general, but looking at him finally accepting all of himself and embracing life once he let go of his secrets, was really cool. I have to say that this is definitely one of the best series by the author.
This is an OK addition to the Texas Dragons series, but I did have one BIG issue with it (and with the entire series). The author needs to research how people in Texas talk, because she had them talking as if they had absolutely no education, and constantly used bad grammar. Very few people in Texas actually say "Howdy, pardner", "I ain't" instead of "I'm not", call women "Darlin", etc. As a native Texan, I found it insulting that she wrote her characters as if all Texans talk like hicks with little to no education. The language like that wasn't quite as insulting in this book as it was in some of the other books in the series, because both Reno and Dani were from Colorado. That issue was still enough to lower my rating to 3 stars.
This book is about Reno and Dani. Reno has been an interesting character throughout the series, and I was glad to finally get his story. What his terrible family did to him was incredibly sad. I won't give spoilers, but he and Dani had to endure a great deal of pain because of his family. I did wish the story had given a better explanation of Reno's powers at the end, when he was finally forced to use some of them to protect Dani.
I liked Dani, and thought it was sad how Reno had to leave her so many years before. She, of course, had no idea why he left -- even though he was trying to protect her. I did like that she forgave him pretty quickly once she heard his reasons for leaving, though.
In spite of my issue with the way the characters talked, I did enjoy the story. Now I'm looking forward to reading the Big Bad Basilisks series. This book can be read standalone, but I think readers will enjoy it more if they read Terry's Double Dragons series (and possibly also the Awakened Dragons series) first. The books in this series should also be read in order, since they contain plot lines that extend through the entire series.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Action packed series finale to the shifters that live and work on the Dragonclaw Ranch
I highly recommend that this series be read in order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and overarching themes.
Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including some adult language, a couple of intimate scenes (two, with both having part of the scene “fading to black”) and violence, such as kidnapping / abduction, torture, assault, intimidation, harassment, fighting, etc.
⛔️ if you have not read any of the previous stories, this may contain spoilers.
Last chance …
There are multiple grammatical issues, but nothing too egregious that I couldn’t interpret. I mention this as the scenes play like a movie in my mind as I read and anything incorrect, missing, or extra disrupts it and can be frustrating for some.
Otherwise, this story has the best developed universe, characters and action of the series. Maybe it is because it is the last one … although I am hopeful that the characters will have a guest spot in another series (or a novella around the holidays when one or more of the couples have babies).
In this story Reno, an alpha wolf shifter that works on the Dragonclaw Ranch, and his mate, Dani, a human that he left about 10 years ago to protect her from his family, meet again when he saves her from the Copperhead clan. She is crushed that he left her and won’t explain why. He knows that she is his mate, but is not sure how they can be together or how he can protect her if they are not …
This story is a little more intense than the others in this series (in my opinion). Reno has been quietly living on Dragonclaw Ranch for a while now. Out of the blue, his mate shows up. They were best friends in school until he left and broke up with her in an attempt to keep her safe from his family. Now she is here and he is sure his malicious family is not far behind. When all heck breaks out, he knows it is true. Can he manage to protect her and defeat his evil family? Read this and see.
The pace is fast and the tone is very uncertain and tense with a character and action oriented storyline that has some steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and engaging. I didn't like this story as well as I have others by Terry Bolryder. It was more intense than I usually like. Read at least this series in order. But to get the full picture of this world, read in order, the Double Dragons box set and the Tiger Protectors box set. Or if you don't care for multiples, start with the Awakened Dragons box set, then Rent-a-Dragon box set, Date-a-Dragon box set, Awakened Sea Dragons box set, Dragon Guards of Drakkaris box set, Nightmare Dragons series, Frozen Dragons series, Club Crimson series, Bad Dragons series (may or may not be available in a box set), Forgotten Dragons series, Wings Wands and Soul Bonds series, Reclaimed Dragons series, Rogue Dream Fae series and then this series. I can't wait to see what happens in the next series. Enjoy!
I love alpha cowboys, dragon shifters, and wolf shifters and this series continues to deliver stellar books. This is 5th and final book in the Texas Dragons series. I love damaged big hearted heros and the strong women who love them. Because of the darkness and violence in which he was raised, Reno left his life behind, even his fated mate, Dani, to protect her. He loves his found family on the Dragonclaw Ranch and is loyal to them and he has done what he could anonymously for Dani and her mother. Dani is a photographer who moved to the small town in Texas at the insistence of a college friend. Reno never thought he would see Dani again but fate plopped her down in his town and his past and his evil family will have to be dealt with. On the way to their HEA, Reno and Dani experience sweet moments, strong families, sexy times, dangerous situations, and loving shifter families. Expect to feel all the feels. There is growth for both the main characters, though much more for Reno than Dani, as he lets his past and his belief about his inherent nature go in order to embrace a new loving relationship and their future together. Like in the other books in this series, the mystery of the basilisks is continued and more is revealed. I am sad that this is the last book in the series I will miss the Dragonclaw Ranch family.
Quiet and a loner, he thinks of the mate he was forced to leave and why. Until the door opened and the stinky bar changed to fresh and clean air he remembered...mate! His mate. The beautiful woman had changed a little. She was even more beautiful than he remembered.
What was it about the man in the corner behind his laptop? She didn't have long to wonder before she was surrounded by a rowdy foursome making her their next victim. The man she wondered about was there to protect her then left. Could he really be her best friend and love that had left her years ago?
That was the beginning. So much more to the story. The secrets he'd kept even from his friends and new family on Dragonclaw Ranch were about to be revealed. With dangers revealed and still held secret would his fears come true? Was his mate in serious danger along with his friends and the world as they know it?
We are about to have new stories (I think) with the basilisks that should be interesting. Since they've been trying to claim every woman around their mates what will happen when they actually find their mate.
The story has lots of action, loyal characters, and nasty bad guys, steam, and a storyline to keep fans and new readers becoming fans reading on and on. Once again the author has captured us wth her amazing PNR stories.
If this is your first Texas Dragons Book, stop, don't read it yet! Get the first book, Cowboy Dragon. Read the series in order. Learn the secrets of the shifters who live at Dragonclaw Ranch! If you read the series in order then you are ready for this exciting story about Reno, an Alpha Wolf with special powers, and Dani, his high school sweetheart and best friend. Dani hasn't seen him in 10 years when she finds him in Granite Falls. Right off the bat there's a bar fight over her, but after Reno wipes the floor with 4 "Copperheads" he goes out the door without a word to Dani! She dashes after him, yelling, and the next thing she knows he pulls her into an alcove in front of a store and and kisses her senseless! This book is as good as the first 4 in the series. They are all so good I don't know which is my favorite!
While Reno has a quiet drink in town, he dreads it before the drink’s done and thinks of all the bars everywhere, Dani Summers had to come to this one in a no name town somewhere in nowhere Texas. He’d fled Granite Falls leaving his mate, Dani behind for a reason, and now his cruel, power-hungry family has found him or soon will. It couldn’t just be a fluke.
Still dazed from seeing Remi/Reno last night, Dani’s excited and upset about it. Now men are trailing her and she’s almost stolen off the street when she’s saved by a helmeted biker. Reno’s really upset, no matter how much he and his wolf want to cement his mating bond with Dani he can’t, the reasons he left home are still valid. Reno’s blood turns to ice after he gets a message that his brother is on his way.
They all think they know, but many don’t know what will happen when they mess with Reno or his mate. Rating:4.5stars
Remington and Dani's story show how different family dynamics can hurt two people and those close to them. But fate is a stickler for getting it right no matter how long it might take. Enjoy the ride into Dragon Claw Ranch with the gang! Good to spend time with the crew as well...and their "guests"!
Reno can't believe who has just walked back into his life, the one person who he needs to stay away from the most, Dani. He knows he will have to protect her from what is to come or should he run instead?
Dani, can't believe the situation she gets herself into because of her mouth when suddenly a hot sexy protector who keeps his head lowered comes to her rescue. Once she looks closely, she is transported to a time when her heart was shattered by her best friend. Could this be him? Or is heart wishful thinking?
Rogue Wolf: Texas Dragons Book 5 By Terry Bolryder Kindle unlimited purchase Reno he was a rogue. A fugitive of his past his entire adult life. Now sitting in the local bar minding his own business in walks his past and it's all he can do to control his wolf. Dani feel I love with Texas 6 months ago. Now she has sold her place in Granite Falls and moved Texas. She never thought she would find Remi again after he left her 10 years ago. What a ending to a great series. I recommend reading the books in order. As the series took place we have been introduced to the Basilisks and their series starts with Apex Basilisk and how Gunnar finds his mate. Cowboy Dragon Rancher Dragon Wrangler Dragon Outlaw Tiger Rogule Wolf The Basilisk's story continues in Big Bad Basilisks Book 1 when Gunnar finds his mate.
This is book 5 in the series. It’s been a good series. All the stories are similar but enjoyable to read. The characters are like able and entertaining. It’s about a family that is put together by Harrison, the leader on the ranch. This book is about the elusive alpha wolf with secret powers. He escaped from his evil family but is basically hiding out living an off the grid lifestyle. While Reno is sitting at a local watering hole, his beautiful mate Danielle walks in. Reno hasn’t seen her in years because he is trying to protect her from his evil family. Their journey begins there. . . . Read On! PS: I read the Basilisk series already, oops out of order, with Gunner, Diesel, and Ajax and their books are entertaining and with a bit more sustenance that this series.
Such a good book. This book was full of surprises. First all the background about Reno is in it. Then we find out he's had a mate for years he's been hiding from and learn the reasons why. Reno has awesome alpha powers plus dragon powers that his family experimented on him. The basilisks create a new dynamic to the whole story. Gary the raccoon how much I love Gary. The surprise with Gary is the icing on the story. No one can see that one coming! The story is good and the family comes together to help Reno keep his mate and stop his brother and family from their plot. Terry has done it again. Definitely worth reading so much excitement and twists that keep you wondering what will happen next.
Reno is the Rogue Wolf of Dragonclaw Ranch. He is in hiding from his family. Dani is a photographer who has moved to town. She is also the love of Reno’s life. Fate combines them again during a bar fight to protect Dani from the Copperheads. Sparking the need to stay close to her not that Dani is happy about it. Will Dani forgive Remi or Reno for deserting her after the prom? Will his evil brother come after him again to use Reno’s unique alpha power.? Why does he want him anyway? This latest book by Terry Bolryder was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. So come find out the answers to my questions and enjoy the book.
This is a second chance romance. They were young and Reno did what he thought was best to keep Dani safe. They have found each other again and the sparks are still there. Now that his reason for hiding has found him, the safest place Dani can be is with him. But he still tried to keep secrets.
Oh Reno!
Never fear! All is revealed and the twists are so good!!!! I loved how the story comes together and ties in with the world building from previous books. The Bolryder universe is full of bada$$ shifters who are willing to do whatever it takes for their mates.
Reno is an alpha wolf shifter now, but when he was a teen his parents experimented on him, injecting him with various dragon bloods, until he finally escaped.
It's been a decade since he saw Dani, the human woman he knew was his mate, he'd left her to protect her from his insane family, now she's here , can his family be far behind? He knew they'd hired the Copperheads to cause trouble, they'd tried to kidnap a basilisk to experiment on, before they knew they were an Vincent shifter breed. Now he had to face them to protect his mate, them and all the wolves under their control to prevent them from starting a human-shifter war.
📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Reno ran away from Dani and his home to escape his oppressive family. Now she's shown up in his small Texas town with danger at her back.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: The final book of the Texas Dragons series did not disappoint. It was great to have Reno's story, since he's been so mysterious the entire series. I love a second chance romance, and the angst between Reno and Dani was perfect.
*chef's kiss* to this series. Simple reads, fated mates, romance, adventure, great characters. Loved every second of it.
He left to protect her, she is trying to find a place to call home. Fate has other plans. Will she get answers to what happened? Will he be able to protect what is his?
Was definitely excited to see another book in this series and it did not disappoint. I loved how even after all this time, their connection was still just as strong. I loved how she accepted what he was and what was happening around her. I couldn't blame him for wanting to protect her, but was also happy that he realized his mistake and was willing to fix it. Cannot wait to see what comes next!

Reno's story doesn't disappoint! Having read the previous books in the Texas Dragons' series, I was really looking forward to finding out more about Reno, what his backstory was and where he'd come from! Rogue Wolf didn't disappoint in any way shape or form. The characters were well crafted, as always! The storyline was exciting, dramatic and heart warming in equal measures, in all a thoroughly enjoyable book! I thoroughly recommend this and the previous book in the series and I can't wait to read Gunnar's story!
Each of the five novels making up author Terry Bolryder's Texas Dragons series has been a fast-paced story with intriguing characters. My favorite of the series has to be ROGUE WOLF, the second-chance love story of the alpha wolf shifter Dino and his long lost human mate, Dani. The plot line captured my imagination and the romance had all the steamy feels that modern romance readers crave. ROGUE WOLF should be part of your romance library today! Happy pages! 😉
This was a great semi- ending to the Texas Dragon series. Why semi? Because there is so much more! Basillik! Are getting ther own stories and hopefully a mate. What a great advent3this read was. If Reno is an alpha wolf with dragon blood doesn't that make him Wyvern?! OMG!Mel is funny and whitty, in fact all the women are and some of the men. Could have been more , but either way this action filled thriller, mystery is exposed and we see how Reno has turned. OMG! With a HEA and more adventure in store I need the next book 😁
Reno is looking for a quiet life after running from his family and having to give up the woman he loved to keep her safe. Reno is brought face to face once again with the women of his dreams Dani. Even with hurt feelings they still can not stay away from each other. I enjoyed the chemistry between Reno and Dani throughout the story. Even with danger coming after them the romance and drama was interesting.
Terry has outdone herself. If you want a great set of books to read, this set is the one to get. All the characters of the Dragonclaw Ranch each have their own unique story to tell. You have action, you have compassion, and you have intrigue and love. Everything is in proportion including the sex, it makes you want to be part of the ranch family. Highly recommended. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
Oh my, Reno story was all I thought it would be..but I WA a bit worried there for a while. He has a unique power..sweet...love it. It's strange how fate works just when u think u know it all..Destiny steps in. Loved Reno and Dani story..and so looking forward to Gunnar story, and gawd help the woman he comes across for his mate, and how she will react to a Basilik. Big fan as always Winzie19🤗💞.
I loved Reno’s story a lot. His childhood friend bumps into him and Dani is it! Lots of actions with Remi’s estranged family but in the end, pure happiness at their second chance! Plus Gary had kits! How adorable is that! Wonder if Gary’s name will change now they know she’s a girl? I can’t wait to read the newest members of Dragonclaw Ranch stories for each of the Baskilists!
