My plan to tear apart the Vampire Clan of Baltimore from the inside worked. Maybe a little too well.
Now lines have been drawn in the sand, and a battle is brewing.
The wrinkly old bastard Tyresius has declared war on me and everyone I care about, and he’s planning to let vampires run rampant all over Baltimore… unless we find a way to stop him.
Never mind that our “army” consists of me, a half-dead vampire prince, the sweetest, most cuddly vampire in the history of time, and a brooding vampire whose heart might still belong to the woman he loved over a century ago. Oh, and two humans, one of whom is blood-bonded to my mortal enemy.
Listen, I didn’t say we’d win this war.
But as long as Tyresius is still alive, we’re sure as hell going to fight.
And if we go down? We’ll go down swinging.
Vampire Wars is the final book in the Kingdom of Blood series, a reverse harem vampire romance. The heroine is tough but flawed and the (anti)heroes are sexy and dangerous. If you love books by Jaymin Eve, Ivy Asher, Tate James, Eva Chase, and Kelly St. Clare, then dive right into this dark and twisted world!
Callie Rose is a bestselling author who loves to write books that will grab you by the feels and not let go till the very last page. She loves twisty plots, tortured bad boys, strong FMCs, and redemption stories where that shit is *earned*.
I love a strong heroine that remains that way throughout. Mikka was definitely that, but was also allowed growth. I loved how her 3 men supported her, loved her, had her back, and trusted her...not a single mansplain in sight!
The series was well written and had me at the edge of my seat more than once. I may even have been glad at one point that no one saw me fisting the air in celebration during one particular scene.
Lots going on in this final book, plenty of action, a few heart melting scenes, and some spicy scenes that would make pearl clutchers run off to their nearest church to beg for redemption.
Loved this series, and would definitely recommend. 🖤
Such an amazing ending to this series! I love that her men all accepted her together and each other. I hate what happens to Nathan but I’m glad he doesn’t hold it against her. Jessica is so strong as well and I love her determination. I loved that they were able to take out the bad vampires and restore peace. This book was pretty much nonstop action and I loved it!
This is it, Vampire Wars is the third book in the Kingdom of Blood trilogy. This book wraps up Mikka's story and does it with a bang or should I say a boom? Tyresius has lost his mind, just when I didn't think the old vampire could become any more evil he goes and ups it. Tyresius is building an army using that horrible scrum that he's created and the old vampire is bent on world domination but Mikka and the guys can't let that stand. With help from an unlikely source, it's time to go to war because Tyresius won't stop until he rules over all and Mikka won't stop until either he's dead or she is.
Mikka has always been in the vampires are monsters and pretty much had a self-loathing mindset especially since she's been turned but funnily enough, she doesn't see the guys that way. Connor, Rome, and Bastian have all wormed their way into Mikka's heart, she doesn't see them as monsters but she sees the people they are. After being on the run from Tyresius and a few unforeseen events Mikka's outlook about vampires start to change and who helps her with this revelation the most but Connor, sweet, positive, sunny, Connor whose heart is so huge that even Mikka's darkness and negativity can't stand up to it. Mikka witnesses firsthand that not all vampires are monsters, they are like humans, some good, some evil but not the entire species. Mikka has finally come to terms with everything and sees that there can be good in the vampire world but she is still the badass that will stop any vampire that is actually a monster, Mikka actually gains a healthy balance. she's learning how to be a vampire and enjoy what she has.
As for the guys, Mikka isn't the only one who changes. The guys have grown closer through their love for Mikka, they get along, have an understanding that Mikka is above all for each of them and they're forming a bond between. No more petty squabbles or trying to one-up the other because they each understand that the others aren't going anywhere. After being on the run and trying to get help to stop Tyresius, the guys also started to recognize the bad in the vampire society, and how antiquated a lot of the rules are. Bastian had already started to make changes before the coup but I think that was mainly from Mikka's influence now he realizes that things need to change all on his own. As for Rome he pretty much was open the only thing now is that his past has come more into light and he is a lot more open with his feelings. Things between Mikka and the guys are great and have finally solidified into something more, something stable, something strong.
The story was great, it was really interesting seeing how vampire politics work between the clans, with the clans and the clan-less. To get a glimpse of the bigger vampire world and how they react to a crisis was crazy. Tyresius wants to take over the world, an all-consuming evil that wants to outright prey on humans and rule over every other vampire and he's got an excellent plan to do it. I have to admit that Tyresius isn't dumb, he's thought this plan through and is carrying it out a lot quicker than anyone would have thought possible. The destruction and mayhem he's causing is mind-blowing. The most interesting part was when Rome's past as clan-less came out and to realize that there are a lot of vampires out there that aren't really thought about. Seeing the clan-less society was shocking but in a good way, it was good to see another way that vampires live, and lead.
As with anything Mikka does, Vampire Wars' ending was action-packed with a lot of planning, fighting, steam, and all-out badassery. There were a few twists that I didn't see coming but somehow were perfect. I'm not gonna lie, I finished ninety percent of the book and asked myself if it really was a trilogy, a lot was going on and I had no idea how it was gonna end. However, I didn't need to worry Callie wrapped up the story perfectly with heartfelt moments and an end to the madness that felt so satisfying, and an epilogue that made me smile. I think it would be interesting to see another story set in this world, to see all the changes made and maybe the glimpses of everyone. I wouldn't say no to that.
I liked how the story ended. Their plan was clever, not too easy and not too complicated. I liked as well how the harem settled by itself eventually. No dramas, big discussion or negotiation, it just happened naturally. I'm not sure I really liked the part with Jessica even if I understood her point of vue but I found it a bit cliché🤷🏻♀️ It's a pity we didn't know more about all the changes carried out by Bastian, it was one of the main theme of the book! I found the end a bit "light". No big HEA😕 Yes, they were vampires so no baby and maybe no point for big commitment ceremony but nothing is nothing and I expected something at least!
After Mikka narrowly saves Bastian from death she has to keep her loved one’s safe now that she has become the hunted instead of THE hunter! Mikka, Bastian, Conner and Rome have to find a way to fix the coup against Bastian or risk the world will finding out about vampires in the worst way. Is there anyway to defeat a vampire army on steroids or will they just run? Those are the questions they are asking!
I loved how far the characters grew by this final book especially Mikka and Bastian and how seamlessly they all fix together into their own makeshift family.
Couldn't ask for a better ending. And the epilogue just made it better instead of leaving something to desire. Would definitely recommend this to spicy or vampire lovers
Book: Vampire Wars Read By: Ebook Author: Callie Rose Genre: Fantasy Romance, Reverse Harem Recommend: Yes Spice:🌶️️🌶️️🌶️️ < b>Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years My feelings:
So we walk into book 3 and Callie did it again. I was bored in the first half of the book. Why does Book 3 always do this for me? I always love the series as a whole, but the start of book 3 always just doesn't hit the spot like the others did.
“I love you, Connor. So fucking much.” His smile is the most sunshine this room has ever seen. “Love you right back, Mikka. Always will.”
I still loved the series, and I loved the ending a lot, Mikka is such a badass and I love a strong female Mc, they need more of them. I also loved how they all jumped in with her in the end and accepted that they were all a member of the harem.
“Look at me, Mikka,” he instructs, his voice like warm velvet. “We’ve got you. We’ve all got you. We’ll never let anything hurt you.”
The ending was super enjoyable, and I loved how they managed to fix a lot of the issues. Very well done.
“Love you,” he murmurs in a rough voice, his words broken up by grunts as he fucks me hard and fast. “I fucking love you, Mikka.” My legs tighten around his waist, my hands delving into his hair as I stare at the face that has become so beloved to me. “I love you too. I always will.” A smile like I’ve never seen before breaks across his face. Then he crushes his lips to mine, wrapping his arms tightly around me as he empties himself inside me. Giving me everything.
I highly recommend it.

I read the compilation of the series. So, I wrote a single review for all three books. I do not feel like the individual books would stand alone. So, I suggest picking up all three if you plan to read the series.
I'll reluctantly round this series up to a three. The first book was weak. But I stuck with it, hoping it was just first-book syndrome and the series would improve. Book two coasted on about the same. But by the third book, I was skimming, at best.
I didn't care about anyone or anything and only finished it to have finished it. When rating them individually, I gave books one and two low three stars and book three a two-star rating. Not so much because the quality dropped any lower, but because the author just wholly failed to bring the series into anything worth having stuck around through all three books.
The world is barely fleshed out. The plot is simplistic and stretches over far more pages than needed. The romance is instant and doesn't even particularly make sense. Three times, in fact, the romance is instant and doesn't even particularly make sense. The sex scenes might have been considered fine if I cared about any of the characters. But I didn't, so they didn't have any emotional impact. The heroine is oh-so-special for no apparent reason, while the heroes are characterless cardboard cutouts. And the narration is overblown, though I'll acknowledge that the mechanical writing is fine.
All in all, this series was tolerable. I'm just glad to be finished.
3.5 because of the pace and the smooth transitioning (or less inclined).
I’m happy for the author with actually publishing this and making it a real life thing and reaching a reader like me, getting me all excited and angry and emotional and entertained. I feel like that needs to be said.
The trilogy was overall fast-paced, in my opinion. The main focus was sex with the guys and how good it all felt. The prince seemed better once he became a relaxed boyfriend like the rest of the guys and you could just concentrate on how many orgasms they give Mimi. This last book does move away from the politics a little and goes more into deets on the bad guy and the war he’s starting, but small things caught my attention. Like how her GOING INTO THE SUN UNSCATHED doesn’t really get a big “omg what!?” from everyone present. Or how no one really makes note of her having three boyfriends even though they’re the only RH couple I’ve seen. Or how we don’t really get a last flashback on the rest of the tributes so involved in the first book. Or how she’s a vampire hunter first and foremost. I get that it probably wasn’t common knowledge, but still. The small details, in my opinion, didn’t get their full use out of it. But that’s me okay?
Overall I got super horny with the sex scenes that came up and they’re really the only things that had me on 100%. Well that and the drama with friends and Mimi herself. But still. Yummy sex.
I have loved this trilogy and wish we could continue following Mikka around. With incredible writing from Callie I was able to get lost in this world, to easily follow along on the dangerous missions. The relationship between her and her guys, wow, off the charts in this book! If you thought it was hot before, ha, you're in for a real treat now. Aside from all that raging fire, we get to witness the growth of friendships. Mikka and Jessica are definitely each others ride or die chick. The support given to Nathan showed just how strong this group is. It was hard to know he was suffering so much, and to know he was fighting so hard to not give in. Then there's the decision Jessica made, and while Mikka didn't agree, I fully supported it. We meet new characters, they were great allies to have. There's not much info about them, but this isn't their story, so that's fine. The action was great, I loved when they got to fight, as a team they worked effortlessly together. But, here's where I took a quarter of a star away. I wanted more fighting. I wanted more of Mikka getting to be her badass self, and also more team fighting. Being the last book in this trilogy, I was hoping for a lot of dangerous battles. What can I say, I'm a tiny bit of an adrenaline junky. Don't worry though, this is still an amazing read, and I highly recommend it.
Bastian is recovering from his fight with Tyresius and Nathan is going through withdrawal symptoms bring so far away from Althea.
A hacked up vampire shows up and they manage to subdue him enough to have him shrink back to normal size and when he does they realize it’s James. He had tracked down Jessica. He stated that Tyresius was creating more vampires and had learned how to do it (super up vamps) permanently.
They went to a new location after killing James and eventually Nathan ran away due to the draw to be with Althea. She used her glamour to track them down, but Mikka kills Althea, but not before she commanded Nathan to kill himself. Luckily, Mikka had enough time to change Nathan into a vampire.
They call all the surrounding clans trying to get someone to help in their fight, but nobody would help. So, they went to the clan less vamps that Rome knew. They agreed to help. They also turned Jessica into a vampire.
They took the fight to Tyresius and Mikka fought him and eventually beat him. All of the serum was destroyed and after a year all of the super up vamps were destroyed too. Mikka and her guys lived HEA.
I have loved this vampire slayer from the first moment. Mikka was strong, determined, bullheaded and creative. She was always able to work out new ways to succeed in her plans.
Another aspect of the book that I loved was Mikka and Jessica. Watching the friendship between these two build from such an organic place in book one was fantastic. The love and support they have for each other is genuine and I think more stories need a best friend.
As always I love Conner, he was the bright light in all this darkness and doubt. Bastian had so much growth in this book, you could tell that his struggle for humility was a natural progression for his character, this was pulled off seamlessly, in my opinion.
Callie can write a book like no other, I totally enjoyed this series and can’t wait to read what happens next.
Mikka and her comrades are in hiding due to the new king of the vampire clan of Baltimore.
Where can they go, what can they do before Tyresius finds them..?
This is the third and final book in the trilogy series "kingdom of blood". The first book was "Blood debt", and the second book was "Dark Legacy". Each book is a direct continuation from the one before.
We pick up the story with Mikka finding out who has her back.
If you love action and adventure then you are in for a treat with this read. The romance takes a back seat, with just the occasional appearance.
The characters remain true to themselves, which is a bonus with this type of read and Mikka continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this book gave me everything I expected.
And the series has concluded (big sob!) and what an ending! I feared it was going to be quick, good guys beat the bad guy and all be done, but Callie Rose kept me on my toes turning pages faster than I thought possible!
I've really enjoyed this series. There are a lot of 'steamy' times for those who want it, but also a great, well thoughout story line as well. Each character has their own traits and have been well planned and executed, leaving you wanting more. Bastian, Roman and Connor are all different but bring something unique to Mikka's world. Mikka is a bad-ass and I love female characters who give as good as they get and don't rely on a man to hold their world together. Great role models, even in a paranormal world.
If you love vampires and want something a little different, i'd definitely recommend this series.
This book was the perfect ending to the Kingdom of Blood series! It picks up with Mikka and her friends on the run after Bastian looses his throne. But would Mikka be ver give up getting it back for him? Absolutely not! This book really allowed the main characters to come out of their shells. I loved seeing Mikka build her relationships with Connor, Rome, and Bastian. I also love how she finally came out of her tough exterior shell and opened up to them with her feelings. It was nice to see her truly vulnerable with them. I absolutely loved Jessica and how strong she ended up in this book. This book had everything steamy scenes, action, and a good plot! I will miss this world for sure!
I loved this series and I absolutely hate that this is the final book but everything ended as it should.
Alliances are made, the war is fought, villains brutally put down like animals, all the loves are loved, all the wrongs are made right-neat little bows and all that jazz.
Buuuut it seems like maybe there's an opening for an additional book for Nathan and Jessica and if so, I certainly wouldn't skip the chance to see our main 4 again-I'm a sucker for 15 thousand epilogues, the futures of their future.
I realize that this series was written for the smut, but I had a lot of hope when the first one had such a good plot. Unfortunately, that story arc got pretty flat and simple. It became very predictable and boring. The villain was dispatched too easily. I just wish that the plot had been a bit more complex. I am a pretty hard to please reader, so if you love vampires and smut then definitely take this series for a spin. Three out of five stars to Vampire Wars.
I was hooked on this book from the moment that I started reading it and I was very glad that I had some extra time as I discovered I could not put it down once started and I finished it within a few hours. It moves along at a great pace, has interesting characters that you will find yourself falling in love with and a story that will not disappoint. This book is a must read, you will not be sorry that you did.
Following the cliffhanger at the end of book 2, they're now faced with restoring peace to the vampire clan and preventing an all out war on humans. This was a fantastic way to tie up the storyline. There were some unexpecting twists along the way, and at one point, I was starting to get Matrix vibes! While Mikka's story is complete, I'd love to see more set within this world.
The epic conclusion to the Kingdom of Blood series was exactly what I wanted. Mikka is still her fierce and protective self, and we get to see who is truly in her corner. It’s got lots of action and adventure and a whole lot of really hot steam. And as much as I love Connor, Rome and Bastian (and I really, really do) I also love her friendship with Jessica. Perfect way to finish this series.
Well what an ending! I enjoyed this Trilogy and the characters. This book seemed the fastest paced of the three and there was a lot to unpack. I found some parts repetitive and skipped over them and others I found Glazed over quickly, particularly the almost wordless acceptance of the harem by Bastian and Rome. All in all I was probably generous with 4 stars but I did enjoy this series enough to over look it.
So all in all, this series was great. I loved the characters, the plot, the character development, and the spice. This last book was probably my least favorite though. I feel like it dragged on and there was a whole lot of empty filler in it. We got to finally see some really good spice between multiple characters, which I loved. But the book just kinda dragged for me and then the main final battle seemed super short. But, I still liked this series a lot and thought it was a great read!
Overall, I enjoyed this series. Major Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes.
What didn't make sense was that Mikka could walk in the sun because of being poisoned during the transition. I think it would have been much cooler to say that she could walk in the sun because she was a slayer prior to being a vampire.
I also thought this series was a bit too instalove in some respects. If we had gotten some chapters from the guys perspectives, it would have helped.
Blimey this finale was a great way to tie up all the loose ends perfectly. Mikka came into her own in this book I thought and I felt more connection built between her and guys - Bastian, Connor and Rome. Which i liked. This 3rd book didn't let up in the pace, action and the steam either. It was one hell of an ending and I enjoyed reading every book in this series
I absolutely love this series and Callie rose did not disappoint. I literally devoured this in one sitting . I enjoyed the action , and the steamy parts I had to fan my self couple of times hot damn . I definitely enjoy vampire books . definitely sad that’s this ended but I always love happy ending.I am looking forward to see what Callie rose has next !!!!!!
Absolutely loved this last book of the series and gutted it has came to an end. The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat and you become so engrossed you don't notice that you are near the end of the book as you are craving more. Highly recommend this series however be warned once you start you won't want to stop reading it addictive
