I received a gifted copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via the author.

Alexander Hamilton is the 6th addition to this amazing, inspirational series for children.
This book educates children about always pursuing your dreams and never giving up.
Alexander Hamilton was abandoned by his father then lost his mother to an illness as a young boy. He realised that he had to look after himself and he went in to do great things. Not only did he become one of the Founding Fathers of America, he fought in a war, created a banking system (which is still used today in America) and never gave up.
I learned many things from this book as an adult too so children will definitely take something away with them after reading this book and the previous five books in the series!
I can't wait to see who is going to be next in this series and the Muse Museum (which is illustrated at the back of the book).

There have been so many inspirational people throughout history. Many are studied; others are not. And yet these people shaped who we are, what we do and how we live.

This series presents some of these fantastic men and women in a bite size way for children. It’s not a new concept but there cannot be too many books that share information on these characters.

Colourful illustrations and simple text provide a background of knowledge to provoke children to ask more questions and find out more. The books also prompt children to think of careers and dreams they may not have considered.

Alexander Hamilton has become infamous since Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical, but this book goes back to basics and shares information on how an immigrant rose up to become one of America's Founding Fathers. I've read Ron Chernow's book, so I did feel there could have been a bit more information in this book, but overall a really great book that will inspire children to work hard and uphold their values.

I received a copy of this book from Inspired Inner Genius. All opinions my own.

Another great book from Inspired Inner Genius.
I believe a must read and as a adult reading these inspired inner genius books I am still learning new things about the people they are writing about I love it.
A great book to give to your child or to read with them. They really shows you can start out with every little and then possibly go on to become someone you put your mind into. Alexander was determined to be well educated so he read any book he could. He then went on to help write The Constitution of the US . Alexander Hamilton one of our founding father’s of the US

Big thanks to Zach for providing me with an early digital copy of Alexander Hamilton!

Wow! I just can’t get enough of these books. As a grown adult, I can’t recall learning about Hamilton’s early life, just the fact that he was a founding father of America. But to learn that he was abandoned by his father shortly after birth and lost his mother, only to still accomplish so much in his lifetime, is nothing short of incredible!

I’m looking forward to learning about more inspiring individuals!

As a reviewer from the UK this is one book I was really looking forward to reading, I know about the founding fathers in general but nothing compared to what I've learnt from this book.

This is a book that shows everyone to pursue their dreams and never give up!

This book holds so much information and beautiful illustrations, it is the perfect way to learn more about US history. I love how this book show us not only about Hamilton's life when he became a founding father but his childhood and him growing up as well.

Reading this has made me realise how little I know about America and has prompted me to go and educate myself a little more. As much as I understand that in the UK we learn about English history but I personally feel like US history should be taught to some extent as well.

These books are bright, colourful and easy to read therefore children do not get few up with reading them. Including the new vocabulary at the back also helps with language skills.

I have been sharing the books in this series with my nine year old grandson. He was very excited to get his very own book with this one! I am so happy that he enjoys his books enough to get excited to read the next one!

He reads them on his own and also likes when his parents or myself also read to him too.

My grandson liked learning about how Alexander Hamilton took care of the money and now is on the $10 bill! I didn’t even know that Alexander Hamilton was on the $10 bill! Fun for us adults to learn new things too!

My daughter thought it was interesting how as an orphan Alexander Hamilton chose to educate himself and eventually was able to go to college!

Overall this was a very interesting book. With all the hype about the “Hamilton” musical and then the adult book called “Mrs. Hamilton”, it was interesting to visit this time period in America’s history and to learn in detail more about one of the founding fathers of America.

The illustrations help move the story along and the reader is able to pick out who Hamilton is on each page.

As a sidenote, there is a glossary of words at the end which I feel are appropriate words to add to an older child’s vocabulary. My grandson is nine years old and these words are perfect for him.

I am happy to see that the inspired inner genius writers have taken on such a variety of people in this book series. Topics like science, math, technology, basketball, airplanes, etc. have been written about including both men and women. Now we can add a founding father to the list!

At the very end of the book is a photograph of what Alexander Hamilton may have looked like from an illustration. At the end of these inspired inner genius books there is often a photograph if available as well as a page biography of each person

✨Age 9- I liked how detailed the pictures are. I really like learning about history and this book made it fun for me.

✨Age 10- My favorite thing about the book is how Hamilton didn't give up even though he was an orphan. I loved this book!

This story shows the struggles of Hamilton as a child and what drove him to become educated and later to become one of our founding fathers. This kid friendly story allows for families to have historical conversations that are age appropriate. Looking forward to the next.

A lot cheaper than the Broadway version, this book suitably weaves Hamilton's life into that of the Founding Fathers, never making him out to be a superhero, but instead a very diligent young lad, a very suitable ADC for Washington, a prime pick for helping draft the Constitution, and ideal to be the first Secretary of the Treasury. Before now this series has always been fine, but taught me nothing new – only the Kobe Bryant volume took me to places for me unexplored. This must be a halfway house – the man is nobody I've read a full book about, but that must be because I'm one of those there Brits. American schools must be awash with books in this format about Hamilton, and I just have to be optimistic but doubtful this will find room in the market. If there is scope for buying it, you'll see the qualities this series has, and, er, well, you'll be back.

There, I did it.

👨‍🦳Thank you Inspired Inner Genius for providing me with a copy of Alexander Hamilton to read and review. Here is my honest review.

👨‍🦳This book gives an introduction to Alexander Hamilton from his childhood on. It is a good lesson in US history. The beautiful illustrations add a great deal to the story. There is a glossary and a bit of writing about Alexander Hamilton, including an illustration of the real man. The museum muse tops the cake with a wall full of frames. In the frames are all of the amazing people written about so far. There are also frames with silhouettes to represent future books. This is a nice touch. Overall, Alexander Hamilton has a lot packed into a picture book. It is definitely worth the read.

I am continuously amazed at how the team at Inspired Inner Genius manages to take such huge names from our history and tell their story in a way that keeps a 4 year old interested and engaged.

Hamilton was a great addition to the muses. The book was very well written and informative. Not only did I have a wonderful tool to teach my kids about Hamilton, but learned a few new things for myself too. There’s a lot of information in this book but it’s wonderfully summarized and explained for young readers.

Another fantastic book with great illustrations. The glossary is a wonderful tool to develop kids vocabulary. I couldn’t be happier with these books!

Condensed and illustrated, snapshot of most significant milestones

This story is told in two ways in the same book. The illustrated picture book is colorful and briefly covers the most significant moments in Alexander Hamilton's youth and public life. At the end of the picture book is a summary that adds on a few facts, including Hamilton's death in a duel with Aaron Burr and a glossary of key more complex words and concepts.

But the final picture in the book threw me. It shows Hamilton posed with three other Founding Fathers, labeled date 1774 when it's highly doubtful Hamilton had even met any of the other three men.

Inspired Inner Genius has created this brilliant series of books to introduce historical figures to young readers. I'm a big fan of the Hamilton musical so I was excited to read this one in the series. Hamilton is another inspirational historical figure who was determined to make a difference, despite growing up as an orphan. His work made such a difference to the world and it's definitely a story worth teaching our young ones, and this book tells it in a really interesting and child-friendly way.

Great book for kids!

Alexander Hamilton grew up an orphan, but he studied hard and was able to go to the United States. During the American Revolutionary War, Hamilton worked as George Washington’s aide, and then he helped create the US currency and our banks. Hamilton may have grown up an orphan, but he became one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. Hamilton’s story teaches children that by using our courage and intelligence we can achieve our dreams.

This was a really interesting book to read! If your children/child is interested in history then this is one for them.

This book was very informative and it explained very well all things needed to do with Alexander.

I do think due to the nature of the content, this book is suited for slightly older children as mine (5/7) did struggle with some words even with the glossary.

📖 Book Review 📖

Alexander Hamilton by @inspiredinnergenius

This book was kindly gifted to me by the publisher in exchange for my review. Unpaid promotion.

Before I begin my review I want to say publicly a huge thank you to everyone over at Inspired Inner Genius for initially contacting me and for the continued kindness in allowing me to receive free copies of their work to read and review. I greatly appreciate it and I really hope my reviews are allowing other people to discover these books.

Well this is the last book in this series for me to read and it did not disappoint. I knew little about Alexander Hamilton and it was really great to learn something about him, and how the United States of America was formed. I found it very entertaining and came away from it feeling like I had learnt something.

I feel these books are so good for children and even adults, as I have definitely discovered new information from them.

I look forward to discovering new books from this publisher and highly recommend each and every book if you have children or just enjoy history yourself.
