I told myself a long time ago that women had no place in my kill-or-be-killed world. I had rules: don’t get distracted, don’t get tied down, and don’t get weak. But then Nyx comes along and breaks every single one of those rules. All tempting curves, blue eyes, and as ruthless as I am. I should have killed her. The gorgeous assassin was after my own father, for God’s sake. But instead of killing her, I saved her from a rival cartel. Now she needs my help. Again. I was weak before. I can’t get caught up in her again. Not when my enemies know me as a savage killer. My rules have kept me alive and in power. Breaking them again could have the wolves at my door. Or worse, hers. But instead of pushing her away, I keep pulling her closer. I should put her in the ground, not in my bed. Now I don’t know which is worse: that this wild angel might have her hooks in me, or that I might just like them there…

Trigger warning: contains violence and non-consent issues. FROM SAVAGE HERO, BOOK ONE:
The Domingo Cartel, headed by Dom Bryan Domingo, is the biggest Colombian American cartel, with operations in both countries. The American side has flourished and outgrown the Colombian side by contracting much of the dirty work out to locals gangs. They are based in the Orlando area, where the Dom makes his home. His second is his brother Sergio, five years his junior. Sergio is first in line should anything happen to Bryan. Down in Colombia, brothers Ciro and Rafael Cabrera head the cartel. Their biggest rival is the Bogota Cartel, but nobody wants war. Any act of aggression needs to be backed up with a good reason. Dom Bryan has a reputation for his brutality, and his position is unquestioned.
Caesar ‘El Savaje’ Domingo, thirty-two, was born in Bogota but raised in Orlando. Today he is a sicario in the Domingo crime family and second in line after his uncle. The only child of Bryan Domingo, he was raised in the cartel ways. He follows orders given from above and knows his place; being the Dom’s son doesn’t earn him special privileges. He is known as Savage for a reason, and it has earned him great respect. He has lived through so much evil that his heart has turned black. He lost his mother to murder and there are five lost years in his mid-twenties that are a bit of a mystery. His best friend is his cousin Vito, who is one year younger and third in line. His happy cousin prefers to dress for success and live the playboy lifestyle, but Savage is satisfied in old jeans and leather jackets. He prefers a more solitary life and the company of his dogs.
Nyx Gray lives a boring life. She has done some things she is not proud of, but she now has a chance to pull off a big job so that she can retire from being a freelance assassin. She hopes to provide a better life for her younger sisters – Athena, who is already seventeen, and little Phoebe. She is always careful to keep them safe and well hidden. Her boxing coach taught her to never let up, and she lives by that advice. They lost their father to war and their mother died sometime later, leaving Nyx to raise her two sisters on her own. She once had a future in lightweight boxing, but found herself in some trouble. She still loves to train, though, and enjoys working with Liam and his father at Brennan Boxing Club. She has a bit of a temper, so relationships only last a few weeks at most.
Nyx tells Danny she will take care of Bryan Domingo, and she plans out the job precisely. Disguised as a man, her identity will remain a secret. The one thing she doesn’t plan for is his son walking in and shredding her carefully laid plans. But her bigger surprise is the drive by they all get caught up in. Before she knows it, Nyx is a whisked away to the Domingo estate and awaiting her execution. She and Savage battle it out as the family plans what to do with her. This story ends in a cliffhanger. IN THIS BOOK:
As book one came to a close, Savage had followed his father’s orders to make Nick Jones of Kansas, the male persona Nyx assumed for the purpose of taking out Bryan Domingo, bait for the rival Bogota cartel, which is believed to be responsible for the drive by shooting. They need proof that Diego Ortega, Capo of the Bogota cartel, is behind it before declaring war. As the only known survivor of the attack, Nick would be a target once he was ID’d by the rival cartel, and once the Bogota cartel attacks Nick, who now supposedly works for Bryan, the Domingo cartel is in the right to open war against them.
But Savage went off script when he helped Nick (Nyx) escape the sniper, and again when he joined her in the foot chase that had followed. Despite the endless fighting between the two, the punches and wrestling matches, once they make their way to safety they finally give in to the attraction they have felt for one another since the day they met. Now free of her obligation to Bryan and the cartel, Nyx later leaves Savage to finally return to her sisters, seventeen year old Athena and little Phoebe. She has been worried sick about them since the cartel took her. The sick scene Nyx finds in their hotel room tells her that whoever had hired Donny Brennan to put out a contract on Bryan Domingo was not happy that the job was never finished. Nyx is in trouble, but with Donny missing, she has nowhere to turn to find her sisters. For all she knows, they are already dead.
As this book opens, Savage and his cousin Vito answer Nyx’s call for help. Savage then keeps Nyx hidden away for safety while investigating the case. He assigns two of his most loyal men, Matias Avila and Samuel Florez, to help guard her, although neither she nor they are thrilled with the arrangement. They suspect the Bogota cartel is behind the girls’ disappearance, but with Donny missing it is nearly impossible to find proof or any leads. In the meantime, Savage’s father seems to be uncharacteristically slow to recover from his bullet wound, and Vito’s father, Uncle Sergio, is acting Capo. Savage and Sergio respect the rules and customs expected of them, but there is no love lost between them. Savage had started to suspect his uncle might have been behind hiring Nyx to take out his father, but had soon dismissed the idea. Doc Felipe Gomez works for cartel and provides reliably good care, but there is only ever a nurse on hand to care for Savage’s father, whose health seems to be deteriorating. And Savage is never able to reach the doctor to get his questions answered. But with keeping Nyx safe, looking for her sisters, checking on his father’s recovery, keeping up with his duties in the cartel, and family politics, Savage has his hands full.
Savage and Nyx continue their hot and cold relationship as they try to locate Athena and Phoebe, but it is riddled with mistrust. Savage is admittedly a monster and a bad guy, and though Nyx works as an assassin, she justifies her action with her belief that she only kills bad guys. Savage wants to help Nyx, but she sometimes makes it impossible. She is stubborn and independent. He loves that about her, but sometimes she gets herself into trouble, too. She digs herself into holes, and her unpredictable behavior doesn’t exactly earn her sympathy or friends. Although a healthy dose of skepticism is necessary in her position, she could use a few allies. But Nyx doesn’t know how to let people in, and she is best at pushing them away. Savage, too, keeps people at bay. Unlike his playboy cousin, he is more of an introvert and isn’t into the club scene. There is still a lot of mystery about his past, but losing his mother seems to have had a big impact on him. Nyx is different than all the other women he has been around, and even though she doesn’t seem to want help most of the time, he feels fiercely protective of her. But their relationship remains volatile, and it becomes evident that some people in the cartel would rather she not be in the picture.
To further complicate matters, the few people that are part of Nyx’s life seem to have kept a few secrets from her. Patrick Brennan and his son Liam run Brennan’s Boxing Club and have become an important part of her life. Boxing gives her an outlet for her anger. It was Liam who first befriended her and introduced her to the sport, and though he has always had a crush on her, they have only ever been friends. But he also introduced her to his uncle, Donny Brennan. Donny has kept Nyx employed as an assassin for roughly five years, which is fortunate since she has a hard time holding down a job. But now she is in trouble and needs Donny’s help. Until they can identity who put out the hit on Bryan Domingo – who had paid her to do the job she never finished – finding her sisters is an elusive fantasy. As Savage steps in to help out and takes a closer look at the Brennan family, he discovers that Nyx’s friends might be a little more connected than she understood. And as the story continues, the mystery deepens. One wonders if Savage will be faced with the one thing that worries him most about his job and cartel life: an order that he won’t be able to follow. As the book comes to a close, Savage and Nyx are taken in different directions. It ends with a cliffhanger.
Wow! Savage and Nyx are explosive together. Their story is dark and very dangerous. They are a rather unique couple, and they have many things in common. They both suffer from violent tempers and enjoy a good fight. Nyx really never gives up on Savage, just like her boxing coach had told her. Her relentless attacks are bold and reckless, but fortunately for her Savage finds it intriguing. She has a special fondness for babies and children, and despite his gruffness, Savage isn’t entirely heartless. They both lost their mothers, an event that greatly impacted their lives, and they also both have a mysterious past that has shaped them. Further, they are both more introverted. Finally, they both fight their attraction to one another. Since neither is in the habit of relationships and there is the little matter of lack of trust for each other, there is as much anger brewing between the two as there is lust. But underneath all the trust issues and the noise of the cartel, they both know that they share a connection.
Savage and Nyx battle it out when Savage catches her trying to assassinate his father, Dom Bryan Domingo. Someone wants to see the Dom eliminated, and both Savage and Nyx get caught up in the midst of it. Their story is about cartel politics. It is about survival. Most of all it is about fighting. Their chemistry is raw and laden with mistrust. They have clearly found a match in one another – someone that they can get down and fight dirty with. Much mystery remains as the book comes to a close, leading into book three. The story is well-written. It is written in first person. The POV alternates between Savage and Nyx. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So much happens in this second book about the dark romance of Savage and Nyx. It picks up where book one left off - the kidnapping of Nyx’s sisters - but so much more happens over the course of the book. Nyx and Savage’s relationship is a crazy one. They both get off on fighting each other but each tend to take it too far. The steamy scenes in this book are really intense but really good.
I really enjoy Nyx’s character. She is really something else. She doesn’t fear Savage even though he’s a dangerous man and the son of the head of a cartel. She challenges him and pushes him over the edge over and over again. I hate what happens to her at one part of the book, but love her for her perseverance.
Savage is super intense. What he’s capable of doing for the cartel is pretty crazy. The one thing he won’t do is get rid of Nyx. It was interesting reading his point of view as he tries to figure out what makes her different from other women. She’s his woman and he’s ready to claim her for good but may have a fight on his hands to make it happen.
This series isn’t over yet so there are still tons of unanswered questions. There are new questions. There are even new characters that we don’t know yet how they will affect the story. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series! Definitely check it out today!
I received an advance copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story picks up after the event at the end of Savage Hero, and we find Nyx desperate for Savage’s help. Will it paint a target on both their backs, if he comes to her aid? This is the Cartel after all.
It’s quite clear by now that Nyx and Savage’s love-hate relationship is thriving. Both are a little messed up – craving a physical connection – knowing it’s not healthy, but unable to deny themselves. Their push-and-pull interactions are intense, fierce, and full of passion. I’m enjoying the reactions to Nyx from Savage’s men – a combination of awe at her skills and concern for her unpredictability, plus her gives-no-sh*ts attitude about most things.
The story is well written, with plenty of dark themes throughout: violence, brutality and torture to name a few. There’s also some drama, plenty of angst, and mystery along with some explicit sexual encounters, some of which have questionable consent. I’m enjoying the mystery that’s weaving its way through this intriguing and suspenseful tale. With so much going on, I’m curious to discover the underlying connection between these events in the next book – Cruel Monster. I received an Advance Reader Copy, and this is my voluntary review.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WILD ANGEL". This story picks up where first book left off it grabs you from start to finish so much suspense, intrigue, danger, violence, mystery, steam, angst, twists that make for one addicting page turner. The Domingo Cartel is headed by Dom Bryan Domingo leader of the largest Columbian American Cartel operations in both countries with American side doing so well they have outgrown Columbian someone wants end him but who there's so much politics in the Cartel world. Savage & Nyx's relationship is explosive their chemistry is sizzle but they go from hot & cold there caught up in the middle of what's happening to Bryan Domingo & the hit put out on him also trying to find her two sisters Athena & Phoebe. I definitely recommend to get this amazing book you'll on edge turning page after to get answers so well worth the read it won't disappoint I loved the journey Savage & Nyx take you on such a mystery many unanswered questions to be revealed the next book so looking forward to getting that to see how it all turns out "CRUEL MONSTER" can't come soon enough.
Wild Angel was a exciting, suspenseful, and dark! This book picks right up were the story left off from Savage Hero. We got to continue the wild ride that is Nyx and Savage. The connection between the two is growing stronger by the second. There was definitely a high level of steaminess! This book also held a lot of suspense and drama following Nyx and Savage for trying to find Nyx's sisters and still trying to deal with the outcome of the shooting in the first book. There are a lot of twists and turns that you don't see coming but also add to the excitement. I really enjoyed this book and to see more of Nyx and Savage. It is clear and more spoken of how much they care for each other and the relationship is growing each day. This book, like book one, ends on a cliffhanger and has you guessing what is to come next. I can t wait to see where Logan Fox takes these characters and what drama is going to unfold.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and continues straight on from when #1 ended. Nyx is a freelance assassin, and she accepts her last job with the intention of retiring to take care of her younger sisters, and she agrees to take out the target Bryan Domingo, which is all very well until his son Savage derails her plan by catching her in the act. Now Nyx is at the Domingo estate awaiting her fate. The chemistry between Savage and Nyx is combustible and undeniable, and they have a love / hate relationship. This is a well written story which is dark, intense, raw, gritty, and with danger, suspense, intrigue, angst, drama, mystery, violence, brutality, torture, family, loyalty, and passion, which all leads to a riveting and addictive page turner, which had me on tenterhooks throughout. This story ends in another cliffhanger, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
What a fantastic story! The relation between Nyx and Savage is a combination of cruelty, desire, and darkness, yet their attraction continues to grow! Savage takes drastic steps to protect Nyx from the people who have kidnapped her sisters. Brian’s condition worsens, and Doc isn’t answering his calls. It seems he has disappeared off the grid.
The story continues to be full of danger and is action-packed. Savage does his best to get Nyx to cooperate, but she isn’t used to answering to any man. And she has no intentions of starting now. When a mysterious message appears on Savage’s phone, Nyx will break all the rules to get to Savage, using whoever she can in the process. Unfortunately, there is a nasty surprise Savage has stumbled upon, and things aren’t looking so good for Savage or Vito.
I’m am eagerly awaiting the next installment of this series. It is getting more treacherous with every installment. Logan Fox writes delightfully dark, dangerous, and delicious books!
Book 2 in the intense and smoking hot sexy thrill ride
Wild Angel is the second book in the A Crime Family Affair series and continues the story of Caesar "Savage" Domingo and Nyx Gray. This book starts where the cliffhanger from Savage Hero ended with the kidnapping of Nyx's sisters. This couple is dark, twisted, combustible, and so hot and steamy. Be warned that there are some triggers including non/dub-con and violence. But if you can stay with the story it is a thrill ride of excitement. This book is well written and continues the tight and interesting story-line. Savage and Nyx are well developed and so fascinating. I quite enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next to see just what happens next, this book does end with a cliffhanger.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Rough RAW & STEAMY! Rough steamy wild foreplay that goes from rage to the pages sizzling with heat. It's intense with endless excitement danger violence and rape that had me frozen in shock unprepared for dark crippling twists that come out of know where blind siding the heck out of me, but boy did it light a fire filling me with obsessive page turning intrigue. This story is super dark and feeds of your emotions that are hard to digest and with a flick of a page are impossible not to laugh at. The mind invading suspense makes is extremely addictive that has me hooked and desperate for more. This is by far an absolute favorite read for me.
Wild Angel is a dark and addictive read and I loved every second. This book takes off right where the first one left us hanging. Nyx and savage are on a quest to find her sisters and not kill each other in the process. Their love/hate relationship reaches nuclear levels in this action-packed installment. I was shocked at times, angry and then joyous while reading this book. Nyx is still feisty but just jumps head first into situations before thinking. Savage tries hard to keep her safe and make her his all while searching for her sisters. That ending left my jaw on the floor and had me screaming for more. I need the next book now!
This book continues Savage and Nyx’s story where the first book ended. Nyx is still fighting at every turn with Savage to get her life back, but in this story, she annoyed me a lot. It was to the point that I wanted to take her out myself. I felt bad at times the things she endured and tried to put myself in her shoes, but when Savage was doing everything in his power to help her and she basically spit in his face repeatedly it irked me. Savage is still ruthless when it comes to getting things done, but when he showed Nyx his softer side, I was falling for him. This ends on a cliffhanger that left my jaw hanging open and I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I thought book one was good but this was just gets even better!! We pick back up where book one left off and it doesn't stop from that point on. Savage is still trying to fight his attraction to Nyx but is starting to see that it may be a lost cause. As events keep throwing them together the fireworks explode as they each push each other relentlessly bringing out the best in them both. Makes for quite the intriguing read as it all plays out making it impossible to put is down once you get started. Perfect for fans of dark mafia romances. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Book 2 starts of where book 1 ends. Nyx’s sisters have gone and only one person can help her find them but who took them? Savage’s and Nyx’s relationship is full of drama, full of hate but attraction is mutual, they don’t want to fall for each other but their chemistry is intense. He hates her but he wants her, she hates him but she craves him. Advisable to read the tws as this book is dark, and not for the faint hearted. Ends on a cliffhanger, everything that could go wrong does go wrong. Are her sisters safe? Are savage and Vito? Who can be trusted? So many questions, hopefully book 3 will reveal more. Super intense and steamy. Nyx is a fireball.
Wild Angel by Logan Fox is the gritty, continuing story of Savage and Nyx…and boy!!!! Do things get wild in this story!!! The vicious tension between these two…and the venom Nyx spews….whew!! It just gets better and better! Plus, the situations they get embroiled in are grisly, blood-curdling, dangerous, and soooooo easy to get pulled into!!! I couldn’t stop reading…the goals of these two have changed….and so has the danger!!! Such an excellent story!! But, ends in a MAJOR cliffhanger!!! I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I know you probably shouldn't find Nyx and Savage funny because of who they are in this series but the dynamic between them both just plays into that. The situations Nyx gets herself into mainly because she's stubborn and strong willed are dangerous to her. Whilst Savage with all his gruff, hard headedness has a soft spot for Nyx and he can't help but look out for her. Yes it's dark in places and very steamy too. I'm genuinely loving these two characters and this series is just brilliant. I'm dying to get my hands on the next book now
Amazing second book of this series. An intriguing cartel romance with mystery and suspense throughout. Our MCs continue with their love/hate relationship and Nyx's snark and wit had me full on laughing but through it all she has a vulnerability that endears her. Savage meantime is a full on sexy alpha and there are some sizzling scenes between our illustrious pair. Well developed plot and characters that will keep you engaged from start to finish, I look forward to continuing their story.
Nyx and Savage's push and pull, destructive yet dependable relation keeps you hooked to the pages, as Nyx is on the hunt for her sisters Athena and Phoebe, Savage agrees to help but he needs to keep Nyx under wraps in case shes seen as his weakness but Nyx doesnt plan on staying out of trouble when her sisters and others are on the line. this is book 2 in the series and delves deeper into the cartel and both Nyx and Savages lives. well written with an engaging chemistry sizzling read!
Wild Angel picks up where Savage Hero. Nix and Savage’s relationship is explosive. They go from 0 to 100 and everything in between. This book is definitely a page turner! With suspense, drama and twists left had me on the edge of my seat. And a whole lot of steam and lust that will have you wanting to fan yourself. Loved all the mystery surrounding the story. The intrigue and mayhem make for one nail biting story. Looking forward to more!
Nyx and Ceasar (Savage) continue to side step each other but, at this point, Savage has the upper hand. He's brought her back to the family to keep her safe but I can't help but think it might be a viper pit. The search for her sisters goes on but isn't making much head way. There is more to Savage than meets the eye and the questions and suspense ramps up. I impatiently wait for the next spine tingling book in this series!
I planned to give it 5 stars but the ending makes me think it only deserves 3 stars since it’s a cliff hanger that explains nothing and it doesn’t look like a third book is coming out based off publishing timing and the authors profile of other books. So I’ll give it 4 to be nice. This had the chance to be one of my favorite reads of the year but that ending just really pissed me off I’d be fine if there actually was another book coming.
Not me thinking this is the final book of a duet & it leaving off on a cliffhanger 💀 • I have sooo many questions & I feel like so much was left unsaid…I need answers! I’m really, really hoping Logan Fox continues with this series soon 🤞🏻 • I just love the characters within this book. They’re written so well! The funny banter, the action packed plot, the steam - it’s all on point! There’s something about Logan Fox’s books that suck me in & I’m here for it.
This was a great second book as Nyx and Savage are brought together again! He thinks to stay away but their chemistry is too strong and the pull is stronger! They have the cartel and having to find her sisters to try and get done. This was a great storyline and characters that will have you wanting more! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I absolutely love this story! It's dark, suspenseful, and steamy. Nyx is proving to be a relatable FMC with an attitude I can't help but giggle at. Savage is that perfect alpha male you can't help but fall for. I enjoyed the pace of the story all while wishing it wouldn't end yet. I'm excited to see what will happen next!
Wow this second book is just as explosive as the first one the pages are full of intrigue, danger, suspense and let us not forget how hot the chemistry is between them. The characters are fantastic and the storylines hooked me from the start. Looking for more…..
I received a copy and am voluntarily and than some leaving my honest review.
Picking up from Savage Hero, Nyx and Savage are trying to get to grips with everything. This is so full of intense drama along with white hot chemistry, a war has started, now the players take their places, book 3 cannot come soon enough. Logan Fox you have done it again. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
This book sizzled with sexual tension! The push and pull between these characters was explosive and genuinely brilliant to read. I love how dark and dangerous the whole plot is, how much suspense, action and twists was written into the story, it kept me on the edge for most of the book! I just didn't want it to end and cant wait for more!
A continuation of the story from the previous book and it was just as suspenseful as the first book. I was so hoping the mystery surrounding her sisters would be solved and yet I want the journey to continue because these characters are fascinating in their darkness. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review.
Wild Angel continues the story of to assassins, Nyx and Savage. With the failed attempt to assassinate the father of Savage, Nyx returns to her sisters to only find them missing. Savage believes he may know who hired Nyx and put the hit on his father, Bryan. This intriguing book ends in a cliffhanger.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Now this was a trip. There were things I wasn’t expecting at all especially near the end but damn this was SO, SO GOOD!! I’m still on the fence with Savage but he is definitely pulling me over with each chapter and Nyx is just bada$$ in my book. I can’t wait to see what Logan has in store for these two next. 🖤🔥🩸🔥🖤
