Till she meets a man who makes her think that true love, the kind she dreams of, is actually real. He would become everything she would need.

When the twisted webs of deceit from their pasts come storming into their lives, will they be strong enough to hold on? Or will the past destroy everything they have found?

Being new to Ms.Barrett's work I've been looking forward to picking up her work! As soon as i found out about this series i knew i had to start here first. I enjoyed this first installment!

Dominic and Alice's journey got my attention! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen with these two and i really liked that! I also enjoyed getting into this world!

With Everything I Need, Ms.Barrett has created a good read! I am looking forward to picking up book two, Anything For You!

I enjoyed this book. It was a fast past mafia romance. At times I felt like it was a little bit too fast paced and a bit insta love. I didn't really feel the build up of romantic tension between the two main characters which made the romance harder to believe. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the random time jumps. It just disconnected me from the story a bit. I did love the main character and how the author showed how damaged she was from her past. It gave her more depth that I really enjoyed reading about.

I never would have guessed had I not known that this was a debut effort. The story flows perfectly and the characters are so well written as to almost jump off the page. This reads more like a story from someone that's been doing this for many years.

As for the story itself, I adored it. I don't typically read the Mafia sub-genre, but this book will definitely change that! It felt like more than The Godfather with a romance subplot forced into it. It felt real and natural.

I can't wait to see what this author will contribute in the future. It's sure to be wonderful!

Oh my goodness, my emotions.
What a fantastic story, I had my fingers crossed for Dominic and Alice through the whole book.
At the start I was worried about if I'd like Dominic but my god he ended up being wonderful and for them to get through what they do stronger than ever is magical. Can't wait to read the next one.

Worse than trash. It's porn. No wait it's not even that. It's terribly written, rushed, like a very terrible B movie. Couldn't get past 10% of it. DNF.

I believe this is the author’s debut novel. If it isn’t, then it’s at least the first one I’ve read by her, and I will definitely be coming back for more! Alice and Dominic gave such a wonderful story. It’s a bit of instant attraction, some mafia, a lot of danger, and plenty of turns along the road to the truth. While Dominic wants Alice, does he trust her? And can Alice trust Dominic after everything he seems to have out her through? Once they think they’ve got their relationship ironed out, someone points out a huge wrinkle that was missed, but will that wrinkle cause broken hearts or just a few fights?

I’m not even a little ashamed to say that I read this in one sitting. Alice grabbed me and wouldn’t let go, while Dominic and his friends did the same. And all of the layers in interactions made me question if this is really the author’s first foray into published works. I’m still not certain if it is or not, but either way, she’s got a talent for adding intrigue and worry and hope and fear to make for a darn good read!

Alice Beckman is struggling through life; she’s working at a terrible job just to keep herself on her feet until she gets through school. Dominic Mancini is trying to get out of the Famiglia, and he’s determined not to let anything mess that up. At least, until he meets Alice. Although the two barely know each other, there’s an attraction there they just can’t shake. Dominic is determined not to act on his feelings until everything is safe, and he can get to know her better, but when he realizes that Alice is being abused at work, nothing can stop him from storming in there and saving her. Alice has trust issues, and Dominic knows that, but he’s willing to give her the space she needs - at least, until she falls in love with him.

This book was really interesting. I liked how protective Dom was of Alice. I also liked how Alice went from scared little girl to strong and confident woman. I think that this was a really good book, especially considering it was the author’s debut novel. I would recommend to any dark or mafia romance lovers.

I have to say that I'm seriously impressed that Everything I Need is this author's debut, so the future is bright for her & for all of us readers. Alice is a girl who feels like she's in a rut when fate has her coming face to face with Dominic. He feels like he's trapped in his life that has some mafia ties & all which I can't blame him for because you know, the law is just considered a suggestion for the mafia. His whole life changes when he meets Alice, and for the first time in a while, he's doing something for himself. She has some past baggage which has her putting him in friend zone, then she's attempting to keep him there, but when fate is involved, well, that's all she wrote. I'm not saying it was easy by any means because she's not an easy sell, plus twists are coming around the corner from both their pasts so will they be able to hold on for dear life together?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is supposed to be a Mafia Romance, but it is a very weak one - it has time jumps that mess up the flow of the story leaving parts out, it's really fast paced and gives you whiplash and the way Dominic acts at the beginning when he meets Alice is just weird.

In this story Dominic's family has ties to the Mafia and all he wants is to be himself. In the process of trying to make this happen he meets Alice. Things happen to Alice and he just ignores them because of meetings going on. They finally get together and the story takes you on some twists and turns, but Dominic's true self doesn't come out until the very end of the book for a brief second and it ends. Then there is a weak Epilogue.

Now I did see a 1-star review that said it was trash and just porn - how they came up with that I have no clue. The story is interesting just weak, but porn? Yes, there is sex, but it is VERY mellow.

This is the third book I have read by this author. I enjoyed it. Although, I have to admit that this one took me longer to get into the story in the beginning. It was a slower burn romance for me. It was not until about a third of the way into the story that I really felt the chemistry between Dominic and Alice. Part of this also had to do with the fact that the chapters were short and thus the story seemed a bit rushed as well.

However, this is a different story when I hit the halfway point of the story. The chemistry that Dominic and Alice shared was very steamy. Also, the storyline picked up as well and grew stronger. It for sure made up for the slower beginning.

I read this book within 24 hours! From front to back! That’s how good it is! I just couldn’t put it down.
It started off really strong, there was a bit of a lull where it didn’t seem to flow as well and felt like bits were missing but about half way through it completely changed again and the drama had me hooked! There was suspense, and twists and turns as Alice and Dominic tried to deal with the issues that were unfolding around them. Although I can’t justify giving a 5 star review, it up being a really good book and I think I am going to go read it again....

Everything I Need by K.B. Barrett was a gripping mafia romance. I really enjoyed that Dominic was working his way out of the Familia and how he struggled with that by needing the resources when Alice is put in some not great situations. Dominic and Alice are definitely characters that went through the emotional ringer in this book and their love for each is so strong. Like Alice, I found Dominic to be swoony. This is not as dark of a mafia romance as others that I have read, and I found that to be refreshing.

So I love Dominic and his golden retriever hidden in an ex mafia boss persona, but I got distracted and almost stopped reading halfway through.

I got asked out on a date and this lonely heart woman rarely gets asked out so I lost interest.

But it was saved because I just so happened to flip to one page and just the action from that page had me like I need to know what happened.

Anyway this is a 3.5 out of 5, with spice being so freaking relatable and I mean it’s so realistic that it gets a 4/5 for me.

I’m not very good at reviews. But I found this book shared by a friend as a debut for this author. Initially I purchased it without looking to see what it was even about. One page in and I was hooked, everything flowed so smoothly and took me to another world instantly. Every time I thought I couldn’t enjoy the book more something else captivated my attention and now here I sit, impatiently waiting for book two! Give this book a shot you won’t regret it.

Alice and Dominic draws you into the book so fast and keeps you stuck in the abyss that it extrudes. The story was so captivating. I am a Mafia lover through and through and this story was no different, but it was deeper. The story of Alice and Dominic makes you believe in love. You go through the up's and down's with the characters. The author wrote these characters so flawlessly. This will not be the last story I read from K.B. Barrett, that is for sure!

Everything you need is the first book I have read by this author and definitely won’t be my last. Dominic and Alice’s story will captivate you from the first chapter it’s not pretty at times but what do you expect when the mafia is involved, but the love and attraction that they have for each other will give them their HEA. I couldn’t put this book down. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I was in mood for mafia romance and since this had been on my tbr for a while so I dived right into it. This was a really fluffy read and not what I was I was in the mood for. But I did really liked the both the MCs. As weak and spineless as the heroine is, I really felt bad for her and everything she went through. And I loved the hero's love, loyalty and devotion to the heroine, even if he was a big bad mafiaso who calls daddy to bail him out at every turn lol

Alice feels stuck in her life, that is until she meets Domonic. Together they are a force and finding what they want is definitely a journey. KB Barrett has an amazing ability to suck you in from the beginning and before you know it, it's way past your bedtime and you finished already 😉 I cannot wait to read more by KB Barrett 😍

Soo good and such a roller coaster. Those last couple chapters had me sweating and at the edge of my seat.
After years of being kept away Alice is finally free but finds herself in a similar situation that has her weak and alone. With Dominic's appearance her life changes. He shows her the strength she has had all along deep inside her.

There was something about this book that was off for me, to be honest.
I just couldn't figure it out. The storyline was great somehow and I am sure people must have loved it but it did not do enough for me to like it.
One thing I liked about it was how Alice grew from her character and how Dom was ready to do anything in order to keep her safe. With the mafia and everything being involved.
