Never pick dare if you aren’t willing to suffer.

The fates only gift shifters one mate in this lifetime. That’s the rule. That’s how it has always been. One mate, one subpack. Which was why it was so devastating to watch our mate die mere moments after learning she existed. It was our job to protect her, and we failed. But we wouldn’t fail her twice. After discovering her child tucked away in a poacher’s cage, we took her home to be raised in our community where she would always be protected.

But nothing prepared me for fate’s cruel joke, gifting us a second mate, the very pup we rescued. It couldn’t be true. I refused to accept it. But as time went by, the undeniable pull was making it impossible to ignore. I should tell my other subpack members. They needed to know. But I just wanted to postpone it long enough to fulfill my promise, to find Bella’s original pack, to find the rest of her family.

When a lead came in about Bella’s family, the promise was too alluring to pass up. But you know what they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Which is how I found myself captured by poachers, depending on Bella and my other pack members to rescue me. I shouldn’t have gone alone, but I would do anything for that girl.

Bella Belladonna, the very poison for my soul. The only dare that makes the suffering worth it.
***Resisted is a steamy Reverse Harem wolf shifter standalone romance, filled with wit, tension, and some snack worthy alpha males. ***

Unfortunately I just never vibed with this story. A lot of what I didn’t like was mentioned in the blurb but of course I have to be the difficult one as well as the one who is never pleased. When the 3 guys find the heroine, she’s a young wolf pup in the arms of their just found but now dead mate. Because of their job hunting down poachers and pack enemies they give the young pup to the alphas mother to raise. This was the first thing that irked me. Assuming the child is your mates, why would they not do everything they could for her, including raising her themselves? Just seems weird given how strong mate bonds are and can be. Fine whatever. Throughout her young life the guys really treated her like an annoying sibling which was awkward given I knew she’d be their mate. Apparently second mates are impossible and so all of the guys have given up on a HEA. When the alpha Silas learns she is their mate when she’s of age and has the mate mark to boot, rather than telling his two pack mates or even the heroine that she was their mate, he keeps them all apart for years. It really felt like he hated the bond at times because he just couldn’t and wouldn’t try and see her as their mate since her mother was their true mate. He thought by separating them all he’d be giving her a chance at real happiness 🤦🏽‍♀️ Which was also something a bit off putting if you ask me, I mean her mother was their true mate???? I expected this to be disproven at some point only it never was, so in a sense she’s the runner up.

I guess I never really fell for any of the characters either and if I’m being honest it’s probably because of the prejudice I built up throughout the book. The heroine never won me over because even when Silas is purposely cruel to her and tells her he stayed away so long because of her, it never seems to bother her or stop her from wanting him/them. Also the book didn’t seem to have much point aside from the little scuffle at the end. I say this because the bigger theme of the story seemed to be where the heroine came from, who her family was and what happened to her and her mother when she was found? But in the end she no longer cared to find out and after Silas was attacked during his last search for answers they all just gave up. Given the way the book ended though I’m guessing this will be an ongoing series with more answers, new relationships and secrets uncovered throughout so time will tell. It was an OK read because as much as I got pissed off I still couldn’t stop reading.

Resisted is the first book ive read by this writer and i was pleasantly surprised. A 2nd chance fated mate book but what was different was that Bella (FMC) was in Silas, Vincent and Boyce's life from a child. So you gradually got a slow development of their relationship. With that also came the problems with her age and her being like family to all of them. All of that gave them an unusual dynamic but an interesting one thats for sure. I loved Bella. Her character had a knack of stirring things up with the guys which was funny and steamy at times. Swoon............Vincent!! Holy Hotness you gotta love a gruff, tattooed hot guy. Then again Silas and Boyce were just as hot too.

A bloody good read with characters i really liked

*possible spoilers*

Disappointing. It was awkward that their true mate was the h's (Bella) mom and they were adults around her as she grew up from the age of two and then it turned out that Bella was somehow a second chance mate. They treated her like an annoying little sister as she grew up.

I was hoping that it would turn out that her mom wasn't actually their true mate. I mean, it was kind of contradictory. At one point, one of the guys is thinking about how his chance at having children was ripped away from him because they lost their true mate. That implies that they can only have pups with their true mate, yet Bella is their first true mate's daughter. It bugs me that that wasn't explained.

I also don't like that we never find out anything about her family. I don't even know if Bella knew that her mom was their true mate before her. If it was mentioned, I missed it. It glosses over things in an unsatisfactory way and left me feeling dissatisfied.

I DNF'ed this book at 15%. I thought it was going to be a second-chance at love type of book. No where in the description did it say Bella was their mate's daughter which they help raise and groom to then become their new mate. Even in the first couple of chapters, Silas makes a point to say he never saw her as his sister. Vincent repeatedly calls her Baby. Then, Boyce talks about having hidden tattoos and piercings that he 'might show her one day'. The way the others react, it's definitely some sort of innuendo. She's a NINE YEAR OLD CHILD at that point. At 14, they get so upset at the dress she wears that one of them burns it. At 16, Boyce found her alone in a shed with a boy and got irrationally angry. She explained how she's never been kissed (she's completely isolated from her peers because they are so "protective" of her) and he offered to kiss her. He is at least twice her age and has helped raise her. They constantly talk about how age is just a number and time doesn't matter for shifters. All these things might be innocuous on their own but it's very clear the author is setting up this girl as the love interest. This book just gets creepier the more you read.

Rejected Mates are in right now and Delilah Mohan has taken a totally unique and entertaining spin on it. Resisted is the first book in the Wolves of Full Moon Bay series and it looks as if each book in the series will be a reverse harem standalone set in the same world.

This is a paranormal reverse harem where the wolf culture is a little different with one overall pack and little sub-packs within the pack. The sub-packs are the harem groups and they each have an alpha but then everyone answers also to an overall alpha. It was a different take on wolf shifter lore it makes a lot of sense and it actually works really well with a reverse harem. Another twist in shifter lore is that some humans know about wolf shifters and deal in wolf-trafficking, they are human poachers and are very dangerous to the shifters.

Resisted is told from the perspectives of Bella, Vincent, Boyce, and Silas. Bella is funny, light-hearted, and has sass for days, she was rescued by the guys when her mother was killed by the poachers and adopted by Sila's parents. Now some would consider this story as taboo but considering they aren't blood-related, nor were they raised together at most he babysat a few times but other than watching her grow up that's where the connection ends. Silas has complicated feels and doesn't know how to deal so he pushes her away but not telling her they are mates.

The guys' relationship with Bella is special, there was always a friendly (nonsexual) connection there, the banter she has with the guys was great, even when she was a little girl, those scenes were hilarious. Silas is the stubborn alpha, Vincent is the bad boy, and Boyce is the boy-next-door type so you can imagine what the confident, smart, and beautiful Bella does to all three guys when she gets older. They are decent men whose job is to rescue shifters who have been taken by the poachers. It's a rough job, seeing their kind treated so horribly and the violence that happens on the job. They need the light and joy that Bella brings into their lives.

Resisted was mostly a relationship-based story but instead of the girl having issues, it's the guys that are second-guessing and wondering about everything. In this story, mate marks exist and I love it because there is no denying (even if they want to) who was meant for who. The characters were great and the shifter poachers add a new aspect to the story. I really enjoyed Resisted and I'm glad it ended with a Happily Ever After. I have any idea that a certain alpha who made an appearance is gonna be next to find his mate, I heard he might be Refused.

Delilah Mohan really got me good with Resisted. I've loved all of her other books that I've read and this one was no different. Her take on shifters in this book included a lot of my favorite themes such as fated mates and mate marks, but there were also twists to go along with these common ideas.

This was somewhat of a rejected mates story, which I've been really into lately, but not one at the same time. It was more so a denial and ignorance type of thing when the majority of the characters had absolutely no idea the link they had but still felt that connection that they weren't sure what to do with. It was a near impossible probability that Silas, Vince, and Boyce would be gifted another mate after their first one died right after they found her. How could those feelings be recognized if they only got a short time to experience them with their first mate?

Besides the twist of another mate being thrown at the guys, this book also had such a unique build up of the story. It was a slow burn for sure, and what made it really stand out to me were the chapters from their past as the fmc, Bella, grew up, and became the woman she was in the main part of the story. I loved seeing those slow transitions of their relationship as the story progressed and how they also referred to instances that occurred in the past.

This story was a real pleasure to read, despite me wanting to throw something at Silas the majority of the book. I can't wait to read the next book to see how Roth and his sub pack handle their own mate!

3.5 stars. Once I had figured out that the whole story was going to be about the MMCs resisting the mating pull to their foster sister and original mate’s daughter, it was hard to get over. It’s a huge age gap for all of them—decades on the high end, no less than sixteen years on the low end—and it gets REALLY uncomfortable right around the time the 34 year old MMC decides to give 16 year old FMC her first kiss. 😑 But it only gets worse from there.

Their original mate was killed within moments of meeting her, and I didn’t think that the pain and shock of it really registered, nor did it seem to affect the MMCs as much as it ought to. Obviously this was because they already had their replacement mate in their arms (Renesmee vibes lol) but it just… With a concept like that, I wanted this book to crush me with sorrow and then slowly put me back together again. I wasn’t sad enough. They weren’t sad enough.

I hated that they were part of her life growing up in addition to being her rescuers; if they had not been, it would’ve changed nothing about the story, but the creepiness of our MMCs thinking of her as a little 7 year old kid while thinking of how they want to rip all her clothes off is absolutely unbearable. She should’ve been a daughter to them! If their mate had survived she literally would be 🤮

📝 1st Person Alternating POV; Why Choose; Shifters, Fated Mates, Close Proximity; Available on KU

Reading the synopsis of this, I thought that this would be much more taboo than it was since we met Bella as a child. In reality, I wouldn’t consider this taboo at all. So if you’re a fan of why choose & shifter romances, you’ll love this one!

One of my favorite parts of this book were just how different all of the characters were. They men all had very distinct personalities and Bella had me giggling from the very beginning. For the record, Vince was hands down my favorite guy. His banter with Bella was top notch and I loved the little things he did for her.

I enjoyed that although this is a why choose story, so little focus was spent on the bedroom activities. Instead, we have the characters working together to save one of their own. And like any good story, Bella is right beside them and in the thick of it.

This is an unique tale of the whole fated mates tale. I think it would also fall slightly in the rejected mates category as well. Bella is rescued as a child from poachers. Silas, Vince and Boyce are the sub pack that rescue her, although they fail to save her mother, their fated mate. As Bella grows, her relationship with the three starts to shift although she has no idea why. The push and pull of the mate bond and the way Bella grows as a person really drive the story. Watching the three guys struggle with their feelings and not really seeing the truth before them is also a driving force. It was nice to see the dynamics in the group change and shift as the four of them slowly develop their relationship. I'm looking forward to more stories in this world especially Gabe's.

I received this book from the author as an ARC. This was a great start to a new series from Delilah. it's got action, sex, humour, and did I mention sex??!!! It is the first in the new Wolves of Full Moon Bay series. It introduces us to the subpack of Silas, Vincent, and Boyce. They are they main pack's hunters. They search out those who have kidnapped other shifters and save the shifters from the humans that want to kill them. On the night they meet their mate they also find she has a baby girl. Their mate ends up being killed and the boys continue to help raise the baby girl. Well once that baby girl grows up all kinds of fun stuff start to happen! This was a fantastic introduction to the wolves of Full Moon Bay and I can't wait to read the next installment!

This book is EVERYTHING! The story told in this book is EVERYTHING! I loved it all! It breaks your heart and then puts it back together. I fell in love with the men from the beginning and then I fell in love with FMC! I loved her attitude and smart mouth. The way she finally found her family and her wolf! All of it. I laughed out loud a few times! This is what I would call a medium burn fated mates story! But the steamy scenes were really steamy!!! This is different than the usual fated mates story I read! The way the author told this story was BEAUTIFUL!!! It started off tragic, but grew into an awesome love story and I cannot wait for the next book!!!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Wolves Of Full Moon Bay is not a typical shifter rh. They have their own structure, threats and pack life. Silas, Vincent and Boyce are getting a second chance to have a mate. As a child, Bella was saved from poachers by them. Her connection to the men has also grown and changed the older she became. There is heartache, danger, secrets, humor, lust and love. I enjoyed a new concept on pack life and mates. I am looking forward to what comes next in the series

Okayish

This was disappointing. I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting but I never connected with any of the characters. Silas is a horrible jerk to Bella for no good reason. It's not her fault her dead mom was supposed to be their mate and now she is too. The blurb promised steam but I found it really lacking in that department. Yes there's sex but not until the very end. It's pretty lackluster and even fades to grey in a few spots. I did really like Bella but I felt like she should have just run away from the guys and found herself a new sub pack. Overall, it was an okay read but not something lol revisit or recommend.

I really enjoyed this book and I wish it was longer with more smutt. Bella was found by Silas, Boyce, and Vincent when she was a baby. Her mother died by poachers and she was their fated mate that they only met for a min before she died. Silas' parents raise Bella as their own. Bella grows up around these men. Eventually, the guys stop coming around because Silva's discovers that Bella is now their fated mate. He hides this from his pack and life goes on until Bella has fully grown up and she is forced to stay with the guys and as you can imagine tensions will rum high.

This as a decent story overall. I enjoyed it, the banter between the characters, getting to know them. The multiple points of view was a great asset for getting to know the characters and seeing the plot move along. I did find it difficult to understand the shifter lore in this work. I think I mostly figured it out but at the same time it was hard to determine all of it. I found the plot to be great and I am actually looking forward to reading the sequel to this series.

Four out of five stars.

Bella is being raised by her fated mates so it was a little awkward at first for me, but I am so glad I got over that and kept reading! I truly ended up in love with the guys. Boyce was instantly lovable. Silas was a brooding alpha and Vince was the naughty one. It was great! I loved how certain Bella became of what she wanted. She was determined to get her mates. This was a fun read where the female chased the males and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it! I can’t wait for the next one!

Unique
I really enjoyed this unique book about shifters. I liked the concept of fated mates, only getting one (usually), and growth as the book progresses. I’m not usually one to enjoy the prolonged period of growing up of characters, but it was done very well in this book. The ending taunts us with the next book, which I’m excited to read about. I’m hoping that it’s a new set of characters since this book ended on a HEA.

Wow! just Wow! This book really took me on a journey. I love the unique shifter world that the author has created. I love the tension as Silas tries to resist the inevitable, but most of all I love Bella. She is an amazingly sassy, strong, independent character that has the guys wrapped around her finger both as a child and as a woman. She does what she wants, when she wants and good luck trying to stop her.

This was a fun read by a new to me author. I loved how Bella was the light, and sass ;P, that the guys really needed with their job of tracking poachers and freeing captured shifters. This story takes Bella from a child to an adult so the chemistry that's smoking hot between them doesn't actually take off until she is grown. The author did a good job at highlighting aspects of the guys while giving us peeks at Bella's character as she aged.

Full moon bay 1

3+ stars. I loved the premise, wolves who went after poachers. That part was absolutely fantastic. What I couldn't swallow after having their mate killed within moments of meeting her, that when they were blessed with one that they saved, watched grow, find out she's his mate after being hopeless so long, he runs, plays the ignore game. It just doesn't make sense thus my rating.

Less than 10% in and I'm planning on at least 3 stars just for this line
“Plus, every Christmas elf needs an assassin to protect them.”

-1 star for the dreaded use of orbs instead of eyes. Ugh.

-.5 star for the use of the word seeked.

And I see we're barreling headlong into a TSTL situation. I'm over it. None of these people are interesting or likeable to care how they get to the happy ending. DNF

I have read quite a few books of Delilah’s and I think this may be my favorite yet! The way we watch the relationship mature from caring platonic to romantic and mated make it heart warming. And then there is Vince! Oh he is delicious I’m just saying. I enjoyed the way the other characters are introduced and I can’t wait until I get their story next!

This book is a 2nd chance fated mates story. The author did a wonderful job of writing it. In this world it’s got one big pack with sub packs within. When their first mate dies with in minutes of meeting they think all hope is lost cause the fates don’t give second mates. Follow their story to see what happens. It’s a slow burn RH. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

Shifter taboo to HEA

Loved this slightly quirky shifter tale - three members of a sub pack besotted with a young cub who grows into a sassy woman who challenges each of them at every turn. Dark themes run through this story - mainly trafficking - so heed TW.

Solid 4 stars. Highly recommend.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I liked Bella, Vincent, Boyce nad mostly Silas. I loved the Truth or a Dare - and always be prepared to suffer for a Dare. Vincent can be a hot alphahole - I loved the banter between him and Bella and I liked him standing up to Silas. Boyce is the fun, sweet guy - the Hershey Kisses made me smile. Silas - I mostLy liked - I feel like there should have been some apology or groveling on his end for what he did. The other thing that I struggled with was that we and the guys meet Bella when she is about 2 years old, and they are adults. The first several chapters are Bella growing and her interactions (nothing inappropriate) with the guys as a toddler and teen. Now I know when I read paranormal that the guys or girl may be way older (immorta), but we generally meet the FMC when she is an adult. I think watching her grow up with them like that just squicked me put when I thought about it. Maybe if they had been flashbacks or something, with her as and adult it may have felt different. However, once she became an adult, I really liked the story, and plan to check out more books by Mohan,
