Leo...
A promise... A Vow... Revenge. Something that has been ingrained in my head before I even knew what my own name was. I have one job to kill Dante Dischanel, to watch my own Father's killer die. The problem being I didn't envision that his daughter would be my biggest obstacle. The closer I get to her the more I realize things don't seem to add up, is there more to the story that I have been fed my whole life? This was the first book that I read from this author.
I did enjoy the story, but did find it hard to read and follow with who was talking. This may have just been because the review copy I was sent was in PDF format.
There are also a large number of characters in this book, so there's lots of little sections of the story being discussed at the same time.
It may help to have a key of who's who to help understand. I.e. Stefan Cortez is part of the Dischanel family.
Overall I did enjoy this book. I wanted to rate it 4.5 stars but only have the choice of 4 or 5. Felt it was closer to the 4.
I received a complimentary copy of the book via Booksprout and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

This is the first book I have read by this author and found it confusing to follow the plot. The book jumps around between the story lines of more than character. I found about halfway thru you can start connecting the different characters to the story line. I must admit the last part of the story finally allowed me to settle into the read. I was gifted an ARC for part two and have high hopes that the story will be more fluid and connective.

This was my first time reading from this author. I will say that in the beginning I was bit confused because the characters were being "thrown" at me. I did enjoy the plot of the story though.
