Pointless. Meaningless ramblings from the heroine, wrong words used constantly and no details given to tell the reader what the heck the character was droaning on about. There were barely any interactions between the character's, a sentence , if that, of them together followed by dozens and dozens of pages of the heroine's rambling inner thoughts, sometimes using nonsensical wording and zero details to clue the reader in on what her rambling thoughts relate to.
It jumps straight in to the heroine telling the reader about how much she wants him, how much she craves and loves his using her. There's nothing dark about that! No anticipation or build up to forced consent like was promised by the blurb. And I quote, girl taken, made to pay debt not hers. It's so annoying.
The bad wording includes, "he cracked his fingers on my pussy". That doesn't paint a picture that even makes sense, let alone one that's hot. Other strange examples are, "there was no consideration of being forced to accept cold steel bars"???.
She said 'oh ... oh' when a powerful orgasm ripped through her. So 'oh oh' was the most powerful word the author could come up with to describe something powerful? "... Even as ugliness continued to eat through my mind. Trying to eat away at my special day.."? What special day? It doesn't say. "Just one more test, one more task to prove my worthiness. The memories were bittersweet...?". Again what? What memories? What test? It doesn't say.
Maybe it finally says what she's talking about later in the book, which is just a weird way to write but I didn't get that far because I didn't get the point of this story and couldn't keep reading the terrible writing.

2.5 "Indebted" Stars
I'm starting to see a pattern here... It's unfortunate but this is the third book I've read by Piper Stone and the steamy moments have become quite textbook material. Also, at some point there is too much steam (can that be a thing?) and no so much story. I would have loved if the events were more detailed and if the story took larger percentage compared to the spankings and the more intimate moments...
P.S. The title was the main reason I picked this book. It's a title that have been used by several authors and I'm quite tempted to read them all...

Hot, intense mafia read. Gabriel plans to take Alessandra for his own to get revenge on her father. Alessandra only choice is agreeing to Gabriel’s demands or go to jail for a crime she didn’t commit. This is a fast-paced read with great characters, lots of drama and intrigue that had me hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!

Okay.....so for me this started off badly, I was not feeling it at all but I stuck with it and at about 20% mark I changed my opinion and was loving it, the plot seemed to really kick off and I was starting to like the characters more and more. Then at about 70% it dropped off again and I was getting bored. Don't get me wrong this book had a really good story with strong characters, it was written well and there was definitely suspense and great sex scenes.....however I felt like we had one or two pages of story followed by ten pages of internal monologue which we had already heard several times before, it became tiresome, it was as if the story was a lot longer than it needed to be. The other niggle I had with this was the heroine and how easily she fell in love, it is a little pet hate of mine, how can she say one second how she hates him and tried even to escape and the next second jump on him for sex ripping his clothes off?? Really this kind of thing annoys me and I know it's not real life and it's a story but still...... I like a little bit of realism otherwise I'd read a paranormal romance book.
I'm sure a lot of people will like this and I did too to some extent but it could have been a lot better.

This book has lots of triggers involving forced sex, BDSM, punishment and sex on every other page, so if that bothers you, I suggest you don't read this story.
The story begins with a very convoluted storyline. Unfortunately the author leaves you hanging initially as to what is really going on in this novel. Gabriel and Alessandra are not two characters that you see together. He is deeply troubled with a past that haunts him and eats away at his very sense of right and wrong while she is a daughter that has lost her father who she believed loved her above all else.
The story is hard to follow at times with new characters and new twist and turns throwing the reader off. This story is one you have to pay attention to as the story takes on a personality of it's own. It gets better as the author starts to peel away the layers and evolves into a mystery riddled with questions that are not answered until the end of the book. I would have liked more involvement of Gabriel's brother Liam, and his friend Aiden, but Gabriel's trusty assistant's role in the book is well noted.
My only con and it's a big one is Gabriel's constant need to punish Alessandra at every turn for every infraction known to man. Of course it all centers on sexual punishment which he apparently thinks is okay, when it isn't. He drags an innocent woman that has been and is being used as a pawn in a game surrounding Gabriel, into the darkness of his sexual depravity. Gabriel likes his sexual kink. He draws Alessandra into a role of being his willing victim in his need to dominate her in the name of sex. Sadly she falls in love with her captor or what she thinks is love.
Toward the end of the book Gabriel finally starts to identify his flaws and some of Alessandra's light finally starts to trickle in and effect the man made of steel. Once the mystery is solved and the culprit identified who is behind Gabriel's systematic destruction, Gabriel's realizes that he too has fallen in love with Alessandria who willingly becomes his wife.
The book has a good story, it's just too bad that the author spends so much time on sexual punishment that turns the heroine into a woman who chooses the dark side of her captor/ husband's sexual appetite instead of countering the darkness with her light.

O. M. G. Indebted is so hot and twisted that there are no words. If you like dark twisted mafia romances you will love this book! If you have triggers with violence then this book is not for you. This is only the 2nd mafia type of book I have read and the first was dark but no where as twisted as this one. The other series speaks of the act while this one will narrate from both the victim and sadist (self proclaimed). I have to admit that I enjoyed reading the 🔥🔥 AF sex scenes. Gabriel, self proclaimed sadist, made arrangements to obtain ownership of Alessandra and made it impossible for her do anything but to have her sign a contract giving him that right...well, she could go to jail for 10 years. She wasn’t given time to think it through all she knew was she sign and she works for Gabriel or she goes to jail for 6 to 10 years. Alessandra was framed and did not have very many options. She thought she would work for Gabriel and would be able to seek her revenge. When she meets with Gabriel she learns her father gave her to Gabriel and expected her to marry him. Gabriel endured a lot of pain and anger from his family and he wants revenge. When his father died and left everything to him even after telling him he was disowned and would not inherit. Gabriel still wanted revenge and plans to marry a “trained” Alessandra and then take her back to Ireland with him to see his family. This book as I mentioned before is hot, dark, and twisted in the extreme. It is very graphic in both the “training” and sex scenes portrayed in this book. That is all I will say of what happens in the book. It will be up to you if you want to read it or not. I hope you do as I am sure you will agree that it is 🔥💥 AF.

A new author and read for me. This story is dark so be warned. am not a fan of dehumanizing or brutalizing women for a man’s enjoyments so although mafia and dark, for me, Gabriel had no, chance, of redeeming himself, not that he tried hard. The story is about Gabriel and Alessandra, her life was targeted by Bobby, a known thug. Although, he was from a well known, well to do family they got into an altercation she doesn’t remember and apparently she stabbed him and was caught with the knife on her. She was tried, charged, and convicted. Her father’s old boss, Gabriel worked some magic and offered her a reprieve by an contract offered by his attorney. Now he had accused her father of stealing financial information from Gabriel and her father was also accused, and charged. In order to save his own selfish disgusting butt, he offered Alessandra, his daughter to Gabriel as payment but before anything happened, her father died. Obviously, Gabriel tricked and used his powers to falsely accuse both the father and daughter but the father lost my respect when he offered up his daughter to save his own skin. She later signs the contract and basically Gabriel, in exchange for her prison term, owns her, body and soul. He makes sure she knows he can extended by her disobedience. Although, I like mafia, this was more BDSM and not my cup of tea. Gabriel really needed to be knocked down a peg or ten. I don’t like reading stories where women are dehumanized and brutalized for a man’s enjoyment.

Gabriel appeared to be a monster.A man out for revenge ,but deep down he was a victim of his father’s making.He was a tortured soul living his own type of hell.
Alessandra, a woman who had been dehumanizing in the most perverse ways
possibly, but her inner strength shone through.Beaten, but not broken.The horrors
she withstands are hellish.She had no free will, she became Gabriel’s to own, to possess, and to control.She had fallen down a rabbit hole, one with no escape. Would her freedom be worse than her present hell.

He was her her everything.
She was like a puppet waiting for her master.
I admired Alessandra for her resilience and courage, a truly strong character.I
felt her despair and fear as she cowed time and time again at Gabriel’s hands.
Initially, i did not like Gabriel’s character, but as the story unfolded i started to
appreciate why he acted as he did.This story has an exciting build up plus the
pace and intensity continued throughout the book.The storyline oozed quality
and substance, but be warned it may disturb some readers for it’s harsh content.

I really enjoyed reading this splendidly well-written, dark & twisted mafia romance. The plot is well-paced & flows smoothly throughout the storyline. It is fill with unexpected situations that has good scene descriptions. The individual characters have unique strong-willed personalities & are determination to achieve their goals regardless of reprisals by anyone.

This book pulled me in from page one and didn't let go throughout the entire storyline. Alessandra is in jail for attempted murder. The evidence points directly at her since she was holding the murder weapon but there is missing time in her memory bank and she can't seem to remember what happened that night. Gabriel was her father's employer. I say was because Alessandra's father was murdered the day she was arrested. In the days preceding his death, Luis made a contractual agreement with Gabriel concerning his daughter. He also willed her to Gabriel. The twists and turns of the plot are absolutely mind-boggling and kept me on my toes trying to figure out who the actual culprit was. This book is dark, twisted, intriguing, and has an adult Beauty and the Beast type storyline. What a great read that needs to be shouted from the rooftops.

If you have read any books by Piper Stone then you know that she can write the heck out of a dark Mafia BDSM story. Indebted will not disappoint but be warned that there are several really dark things happening in this story. Also be warned that the H, Gabriel, has no real redeeming qualities but he sure has a kinky side that he has no qualms bringing out with Alessandra. I felt for the poor h, Alessandra, as she is framed, corralled and basically forced into a "relationship" with Gabriel.
This is a definite dark and kinky story so if you are not into that then pass this book by. But if you like this trope and the darker writing of the author then you will know what you are in for and let your steaming Kindle get set ablaze.

I was captivated from the first page of this dark romance. This was an adventure with thrilling twists, brutal emotions and a slow build with the taunts that keep you guessing. Alessandra pushes Gabriel with every interaction forcing him to constantly reevaluate his actions and the emotions she stirs inside of him. I read straight through to the end as the pressure built in the story I was lost in in its grips unable to put it down. This was incredible and the plot twists at the end I never saw coming. The sacrifices each of them is willing to make displays the depth of bond established between them and Gabriel’s emotional growth by the end shows even a monster can have a change in heart.

This book was sizzling intensity from the first page. Gabriel was so tortured, brooding and passionate. The author always made Allessandra seem the most breathtaking, seductive and strong imaginable.
INDEBTED is steeped in darkness. There is unknown danger Gabriel must protect Alessandra from and he believes at times she needs protection from him. The backstory about the danger is a page turner, but let’s be up front here, you’ll keep reading for the smoking hot passion this two characters have. Piper Stone writes intense, erotic live scenes that you won’t want to miss.

While I usually enjoy books from this author, I really really struggled with this one.
It started slow and I was confused what was happening. Eventually bits and pieces were revealed and story started to pick up. And all in all I liked storyline. But then again ending left lots of unanswered questions. And also, I wasn’t really feeling chemistry between Gabriel and Alessandra. Don’t get me wrong, scenes between them were definitely hot and steamy. But the connection between two of them was lacking for me.
I still look forward to read more from this author, but this one just wasn’t for me.

This story is one of the best I have read. The intrigue and suspense is palpable. Gabriel and Alessandra and the relationship that grew, kept me on the edge of my seat. Trying to figure out the what happened in Ireland, what happened with his family. Who was responsible for the troubles he was having now. I was in shock as to who was the culprit. This was a well written story with many twists and turns, and an unbelievable ending. Piper Stone is going to be one of my favorite authors. I would give it more than five stars if I could.

I liked the story line but I wish it had a smoother flow. The plot was well thought out with lots of suspense and the secrets and deceptions just keep coming keeping you intrigued and invested in the story. I did feel Gabriel was a bit too sadistic at times and that the "infractions" did not always deserve that level of punishment. I also feel that the chemistry between Alessandra and Gabriel was not as well developed and passionate as it could have been. Even at the end I just did not feel the love. I did enjoy the read and the answers given at the end of the book.

This is a dark romance that ends with a HEA. To right a debt owed, Gabriel holds absolute control over Alessandra which includes rewards and discipline. Danger is lurking but who is behind it is still a mystery. Not everyone is as they appear to be, either friend or foe. Both of the main characters are very strong willed which finds Alessandra being punished unmercifully. This is a great read, somewhat dark in the beginning, but a great storyline. I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances where there is a hate to love outcome.

The story was well written and very intense. The author crafted a story that was captivating in its darkness with the main male character having lived a tumultuous life for a decade which has twisted his thinking and actions. As the reveals quickened my interest, the scenes between them became less about his need for revenge and more about how amazing she made his life. The addition of more mystery and family made the book more intriguing because it upped the suspense. Great storytelling

Enemies to lovers. The main characters have no reason to like each other despite having never met. They are opposites but thrown together due to the world their families live in. There is some darkness to this story along with steam and drama as the characters grow. Both main characters are strong willed and take some time to adapt to the changes that are occurring within them and around them. An interesting enjoyable story

Piper tells an enthralling story of love and deception
I hated Gabriel in the beginning, until I learned more about him and his attraction to Alessandra. Alessandra finds herself on the wrong side of the law when Gabriel steps in to save her from prison time in an unconventional manner. While Gabriel trains Alessandra, Gabriel’s business empire is imploding. This is a “Who done it” with lots of plot twists, letters from the grave seemingly and unexpected love! I could not put this book down, and was stunned by the villain.

This book was full of dark and twisted lies, which grow the further you went into the story. The darkness within Gabriel consumed more than himself. Alessandra was a pawn, used for her family connections and the rare hold she had over Gabriel. It was an amazing read. Little by little you were given trinkets of information, which would piece the story together in same way, but keep you guessing at the same time. great read.

This story invocated a lot of emotion from me. It is filled with suspense for the who? what? or why? Will she be able to “fix” him? These characters are strong with hidden secrets. The family business, both legal and illegal, threatens to drown both of them. It’s a dark romance with a lot of scenes with aspects of BDSM, so if spanking and rough love then I don’t recommend it.

I’m wanted to love this book, but I just couldn’t get into the book. I never felt the chemistry between the two characters. Alessandra signs a contract to basically become a possession to Gabriel. She signs the contract to avoid going to jail for a crime she knows she didn’t commit. Gabriel wants Alessandra as revenge against her father for stealing from him.

Good book
I enjoyed it but at the same time Gabriel scared me to death. He is extremely forceful and on the edge of violence at any given moment. He kind of took over the whole book. It's usually the woman who I would think would be the star but he took center stage throughout. Very intense book.

This is another super story from Piper Stone. Gabriel and Alessandra are such a passionate couple, the heat just flies off the pages. An intriguing storyline you just have to pageturn and who doesn't love a story of revenge. Recommended. Piper at her best.
