A man who commands dragons rises. The people call him a prophet, a savior...the one who will free them from the tyranny of the wizard class. They do not comprehend the threat he presents.
The dragon priest rages across the land. Cities and rulers are helpless against his might.
A pair of heroes embark on a dangerous quest, seeking a lost object of power. Without it, the dragon priest and his army will destroy the world.
An army of metal golems invades another wizardom. These magic-powered automatons are the weapon of the last wizard lord – a madman who desires to rule the world. Despite his might, betrayal might be his most useful tool.
I love fantasy, adventure, and magic. More than that, I adore my readers.
My books are written to entertain -- fantasy adventures filled with compelling characters, spectacular magic, thrilling action, constant intrigue, and a sense of discovery. I equate them to the "Marvel Movie" version of fiction, intended to be a fun escape.
I would love to have you join me and my quirky characters for one outrageous adventure after another. With over a million published words, my author journey has just begun.
Best wishes, Jeff

Honest review for audiobook from storyoriginapp.com
Just as good as books 1-3 in the series. Storyline was well developed, characters faced experiences realistically, emotional pulls done wonderfully. The narrator's performance made everything come to life even more. Looking forward to finding more.
Even though the events of the previous books are etched into my memory, the synopsis at the beginning of the book is much appreciated. It is so well written, to the point, yet very explicit, detailing facts with precision, through the eyes of 1 of my favourite characters ever, giving one the background of events brilliantly. Every time I read about Priella, all I can think of is how manipulative, ambitious and, quite honestly, how awful she was! I know, I know, her character developed into a really cool one, one of empathy, great insight and with very powerful magic, which she only wants to use for good. Only thing is that, previously, Jeffrey so masterfully crafted her as someone to deplore, that it's always at the back of my mind. Still, my heart went out to her and her tragic loss. I love Blythe and Brogan, they are the most "normal" of all the characters, well at least they were until Blythe's, for want of a better word, transformation! As for Jace and Narine, what an awesome couple! They are so likeable. The banter between them is so off the cuff and humourous, like this particular sentence, "like a well trained husband, I simply follow your orders". I love how Jace infuses humour into everything, even in the most dire circumstances his go to place is humour. I love how Jace constantly gets himself into difficult situations and how inventive he is in his hair-raising schemes to extract himself and others. The final scenes in the book came as a complete surprise! I now have to knaw on my nails whilst waiting for the next book! This is a fasted paced book, full of intrigue, mystery and deception. The characters are awesome, the worlds rich and descriptive and the plot amazing!
OMG! I don't even know where to start. These stories by Jeffrey Kohanek are just captivating. There is such a diverse cast of characters, good & evil. The sequence of events in each book just leaves you wanting more. Jayce & Narine are such fun characters. I love the humor between them. They are able to go from snarky to dead on serious in an instant. The Dragon Priest will have to be at the top of his game to beat this dynamic duo. A true fantasy story full of magic, deceipt, friendship & battle. My all time favorite series EVER! A definite must read.
Talk about action packed! I love this series. There is a lot going on in this book. Intrigue, suspense, action, humor… it has it all. I really can’t wait until the next book, it’s that good. Kohanek is a superb storyteller.
Jace and Narine embark on a quest to find another item that could be powerful enough to save the world. They must team up with Rindle who has always been envious of Jace and must trust each other with their lives. Elsewhere in the realm an army of metal automatons and their puppet master are killing and taking over cities. Throw into the mix a man who calls himself the Dragon Priest that calls on a dragon to help him destroy those he sees as unworthy while amassing his own army of followers. Nonstop action and adventure! It was a great read!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! The story starts with a journal entry written by a character highlighting the main events of the story which I appreciated. Jace and Narine are off to find an item that could help to save the world. Returning characters both good and evil, magic, dragons, automatons, greed, revenge, and lots of action. A very exciting book that gives hope.
I received a free copy and voluntarily gave a review.
Man I absolutely love this series, it really is so much fun and action packed. Definitely one of my favourite series of the year. With the wizardoms falling apart because of power hungry wizards, we have a couple of evil players that just want to rule everything and will stop at nothing. The dark elves are pulling all the strings in the background. My favourite couple Jace and Narine are just brilliant, the camaraderie between them is hilarious, especially when Jace gets absolutely pissed. Their new mission is to find a new object of power, without it, the dragon priest and his army will destroy the world. You will love this 4th installation, with mad wizards, metal and rock golems and dragons and that's just the tip of a great and adventurous read. Travis Baldree continues to give an excellent preformence, I very highly recommend...😁🐲💥
Another amazing book in this world! Jace and Narine are wonderful and 2 of my favorites for sure. Priella is wonderfully written. Brogan and Blythe are amazing as well. Jace and Narine have to find a way to save the world again and somehow he can still infuse laughter into the story. The ending was unexpected and blew me away. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
This epic fantasy series full of adventure, magic wielders, betrayals and sword and sorcery battle scenes just keeps getting ever more intriguing, and in this book we see the rise of two new powers, that of Grodon, the man calling himself the dragon priest, saviour and even messiah on the one hand, and Ghenton the last wizard lord and his army of automatons who is aiming to take over the world. Both are evil to the core and more dangerous than people think they are, as they flock to bend their knee especially to Grodon, and both serve Xavan, the Drow, and the Order of Sol. In this book we see Jace and Narine travelling through portals across the Wizardoms searching for ways and means to stop the craziness, and in search of an amulet to defeat Grodon. Meanwhile Priella is devastated by the death of her beloved Kollin at the hands of their daughter Koriella, and bent on seeking revenge on those who wanted to put the past behind them and who sought peace. She is travelling down a dangerous path maybe one with no return. Many other wizards have fallen and all is in disarray in this amazingly intriguing tale which I really enjoyed because wherever Jace appears his banter and wit make for a very fun read and I love this character best of all! The descriptions of the places they visit are very vivid and I particularly enjoyed reading about the Ice Fields where the Frostborn dwelt, and the tower of solitude where they sought the amulet of clarity to replace that of obscurance which was lost when Jace fell into the volcano. I cannot wait to read the next book as I find I am really addicted to this series and its wizardoms.
In the synopsis for Shadow of a Dragon Priest, we read: "an epic fantasy adventure rife with action, intrigue, and witty banter." Sooooo... is it?
Simple answer: Yes. Yes, it is. But I feel Kohanek might be selling himself short because it's so much more!
I absolutely loved this instalment of Fall of Wizardoms (which isn't really a surprise, but still!). The book centres on the power couple that is Narine and Jace, two of my absolute favourites. Hilarity abounds, as does their nack for ending up in dangerous situations, and in the middle of prophecies spelling doom for the world. The suspense, intensity, and fast-paced action within these pages pull you along on a wild ride through the Wizardoms!
But there is also beauty and depth to this story, not in the least through the eyes of a grieving mother and wife and the struggle she faces as she attempts to move on. There are some powerful scenes where, as a reader, I held my breath. Beautifully done, and so heartfelt a story!
Featuring sweeping, high-stakes battles, a fantastic cast of characters, and somehow even more world-building added to the mix, Shadow of a Dragon Priest is entertaining from cover to cover! This series just does not let up!
Note: Travis Baldree does another fabulous performance with this book. The scene with a drunken Jace telling stories from his past is hilarious on its own, but listening to Travis sounding out Jace's drunkenness had me in stitches twice over!
The dark elves are up to something and Jace and his friends are determined to find out what it is. In the latest book of Jeffrey Kohanek's Fall of Wizardom's saga, two new villains rise to the forefront. An enchanter bent on world domination controls an army of automatons. How do you even fight magical robots? And a warlock who appears out of nowhere suddenly has the power to call on dragons. Which is cool because we finally get the dragons. But not cool because they're on the wrong side.
If it seems like Jace and Narine are always hunting treasure, this book is no exception, and let me tell you, they find some pretty cool stuff and explore some crazy places. The worldbuilding is fabulous. Just when I think we've met all of the different races in this world, a new one is brought in and is even more interesting than the last ones. Also, Narine's magic just keeps getting better, but you'll have to read the book for yourself to see what I mean.
This was my favorite in the series so far. I can't imagine what comes after this, but I sure can't wait to find out. Full disclosure: I edited this book, but I reviewed it because I liked it.
This series just gets better all the time. I don’t know why I’m surprised at that , this is simply the quality of Jeff’s books. It’s a magnificent magical mayhem plus we now have dragons. With new characters brought into the mix, if you read this, and you should, you will NOT be disappointed. Go for it.
This is the fourth book in the "Fall Of Wizardoms" series, and it was excellent. The series keeps getting better and better with each book. I recommend this series to others who enjoy this genre. Travis Baldree's narration was delightful, and his delivery was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.
Shadow of a Dragon Priest, Fall of Wizardoms book 4, is another great addition to the Fall of Wizardoms series. Jeffrey Kohanek does not disappoint with this series or this book. Absolutely a gem to read. "An epic fantasy adventure rife with action, intrigue, and witty banter." Truth. Can’t wait for book 5! Audio Version: Another great narration by Travis Baldree. Can’t say more honestly.
The story continues in this book and the story gets even more interesting and complex with two new bad powers rising. The landscape of the world is vividly described so you almost feel like you are there. I love Jace as his scenes help lighten up what is otherwise a kind of heavy story.
I have read all of the wizard books and this one was excellent! Full of adventure and suspense. Can't wait to see what happens next. Would highly recommend this author.
The story continues; intriguing, complex, absorbing with full on action & drama. If you want to keep your brain active & have fun doing it, then read this series!
The innovative writing will keep you wanting to not put itvdown. This entire series is innovative and when it is finished, I will look forward to reading it again in the future😎
