Sexy, sassy and smart, Amelia is one of the few shifter brides who have nothing against the peace treaty humans and shapeshifters signed over a century ago.
A lost, terrified orphan when the headmistress of Alma Venus Boarding School took her in and gave her a chance at a better future, Amelia gladly accepted to one day become the bride of a fox-shifter. The year she turned 18, she became eligible to be sold to the highest bidder, and there was nothing she wanted more.
Seth of Clan Sylfur is in search of a bride for his future Alpha. Roman Sylfur, the Alpha of the most powerful fox clan in the world, is dying, and his son, Blake, will soon take his place. The second he sees Amelia, Seth knows she is the perfect woman… for him, not for Blake.
Amelia is torn between her feelings for the hot, hunky Seth and her responsibility as a shifter bride. But how could she stay away from the Beta fox when her mysterious husband won’t even bother to see her and welcome her to her new home? How could she possibly be faithful to a stranger? Her husband is hiding something from her, and that makes Amelia run to Seth. What they’re doing is dangerous, but his strong arms are the only place where she feels safe.
This is the full, standalone story of Amelia, raised and educated to become a shifter-bride, and her hot fox-shifter, Seth. No cliffhangers!

Cara Wylde loves to write about strong, feisty women and their hot Alphas who will do anything to make them happy. Her books are filled with romance and just a dash of mystery, suspense, and that eerie atmosphere she fell in love with reading too many gothic novels. With a master's degree in Comparative Literature, she can't help but play with tropes and themes from various genres, trying to come up with fresh perspectives on the paranormal characters her readers love so much. Vampires, shape-shifters, demons, witches... Cara will always make sure they get their own twists.
When she's not writing, Cara is reading, planning her next story, or daydreaming. Her idea of pure heaven is a day filled with nothing but her laptop, a huge coffee pot, relaxing music, and a new, exciting project.
I absolutely LOVE reading a series once they are finished & all together & "The Hidden Alpha" is no different. I loved reading all 3 installments, waiting for the next to be released, even with the cliffhangers at the ends... but this makes everything all worth it. I HIGHLY recommend you read Cara's "Sold to the Alpha" series, before you start "The Hidden Alpha"... It's a must as you get more of an idea of what's happening in this book, also how the shifter factions work & better understand the characters mentioned.
I was hoping after finishing her "Sold to the Alpha" series, that Cara would continue on somehow & tell the stories of Avelyn's friends from Alma Venus Boarding School.... So when I started reading this, you can imagine how happy I was when that's exactly where I found myself again. This time reading about Amelia & her Alpha mate to be.... in Cara's new series "The Hidded Alpha".
Amelia only has a few more years until all her chances of finding a shifter husband is over, but that's about to change when a fox-shifter finally choses her for his alpha. A plane trip around the world to Alaska, has her meeting her new husband, but not everything or everyone is as it seems...
Once I started reading this, I couldn't stop, quickly thrown back into the story & girls from Alma Venus. OMG what an ending! I NEED to read MORE from this world soon, maybe the dragon faction next?? or one of the other shifter breeds?? I really don't mind whichever one....

Wow I thought Sold to the Alpha was great but this one was so much better. I love Amelia, she is determined to make the best of her situation. Even if that means marrying a man she does not love and have to watch the man she loves from afar. I felt so bad for Seth having to bring Amelia home for Blake and not himself. Man talk about a twist of fate, but Blake has a secret as well and man it is a big one. I was floored, but it may the best thing that ever happened to Amelia and Seth. I cannot say much more from her as to not spoil the story. Sulfides to say this is one Phenomenal story and I can not eait to see what Care comes up with next. I will leave off here so I can go grab another of her books. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
Unexpected surprises and twists made this a very enjoyable read. If I could I would give this book a 10 I would. A must read. Received ARC for honest review.
3 1/2 stars. This is the 2nd book in the series....I struggled with the first book but this one was definitely a bit better
Cons: Boi this shifter bride fell in love with the male lead super quick! She also didn’t question much...just kinda accepted her fate & went with the flow. Idk, I just thought Amelia would’ve been more feisty & full of fight than that. I was let down slightly by the heroine.
Pros: Whoa....this book has some DRAMA. Those damn werefoxes are shifty. The actual plot of this book was rather well done & kept me interested. No spoilers, but yeah this one has some nice twists & turns in the plot that really do keep you coming back for more. Although there are sex scenes a-plenty, I didn’t feel saturated AS much by them in this book. Btw “saturated” seems to be a theme in this series....like, that could be on the book titles: Saturated by the Alpha Series.
Pet-Peeve: Can we just stop saying “juices” in this series though? Someone really needs to just go ahead & put an adult diaper on these women or maybe introduce them to tampons already....Who tf is so “wet” to the point it’s running down their leg just standing there looking at 1/2 nekkid guy? Idk. Like I said, just a pet-peeve of mine from this particular author. But I digress.....
Overall: It’s not a bad read by any means. It definitely has some surprises! It’s worth a go, thumbs up.
I got this as a mystery spicy book from etsy and I was honestly pretty excited. alpha brides?! werewolves?! well taylor did not read the fine print (aka the title). FOX shifters. huh. that’s… uh really something.
sure, it was spicy. the pages of this book contained some of the most rancid sentences i’ve ever read in my life. if I have to read the word “rod” or “passage” or “channel” one more time I might vomit. I made the worst faces at some of the shit I saw here. I feel like I survived a war.
the storyline wasn’t compelling. the characters, their love story, and their chemisty weren’t believable. like not even in the least. I found myself skimming because I didn’t care.
This felt like another wattpad fanfiction about shape shifters. The first half was fine, the second had a few holes in the plot and it started going everywhere around the end. the only character we get to know in the midst of all this is Amelia who is the main FC and that's it, the few nuances made about why a woman can't run a clan of shapeshifters and all that related to the plot "twist" it was more of a surprise than a twist to me. the romance in the beginning wasn't bad it just didnt unfold how I wanted it to I guess, which is fine just not for me.

An interesting storyline and characters…. I enjoyed this book and the drama within… A few surprises and a few things I kind off anticipated… But still a decent read.. if you’re not into melting hot love scenes then you may need to skim over some pages throughout, you will still get the story and the drama just without heated scenes…. It’s worth the read…. I can’t wait to read the rest of books in this collection…
Good story but some of it was hard to believe. Like how no one new Blake’s secret because shifters have higher senses. I know the author tried to explain it but it is still hard to believe. Other than that it was a good story but left some questions. Hopefully next books answer it.
I love how this triad comes to be and wow what a different approach. Not gonna give it away but love the ending and can't wait for the next book because each book reveals more and more of what is going on behind the scenes with the dissention among some of the shifters.
I think I enjoyed Amelia s story more. Probably because I liked her from the beginning. She did get into a weird situation, it wasn't what I thought was going on. So that made for an interesting twist.
Wow! Amelia was peferct and so was seth so many secrets to this book..im still curious about the tricksters and id love more from Marcus seeing as he is amazing at such a young age great 5 star read
Well, what can I say. Thoroughly enjoyed the story of Amelia and Seth. Was shocked when it was revealed that Blake was a woman, but that's how stories go. It was brilliant.
Exciting, intriguing, & full of surprises. The main characters are complex & compelling. I loved the good characters & hated the bad ones. This imaginative story grabs the reader and doesn't let go until the last page. I wanted more of their story, so I got the next book Claimed by the Dragons, which continues the stories of the girls of Alma Venus. Great series!
Again, there were grammatical/spelling errors, but not enough to make you nuts. I have to say, though, I think I liked this one better than her first series. Again, lots of hot loving.
I love Cara Wylde's stories. They are hot, sexy, stories of finding your true mate. The way the characters interact with family, friends & other people who come into lives is important to the plot & stories. This story has everything a reader wants: overcoming your fears, finding your true mate, family, friends & a happy ending for all involved.
