When Alberta Darcy’s reputation is threatened, will love win out?
Miss Alberta Darcy is delighted when her mother, Elizabeth Darcy, takes her to London for the summer Season. When she meets Mr. Wetherby, she finds herself instantly drawn to him and he, it seems, to her. However, when Mr. Wetherby suddenly pulls away from her, Alberta is left confused and dismayed. Is her chance for happiness with Mr. Wetherby gone forever?

Mr. Charles Wetherby thinks that Alberta Darcy is the most wonderful young lady and fully intends to court her – only for an old adversary to show himself. When Miss Darcy’s reputation is threatened, there is nothing he can do except draw himself away from her. But will he let his enemy triumph? Or can he find another way to defeat his foe and, at the same time, keep Miss Darcy safe?

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice Clean and Wholesome Continuation is an 8-book series. Every book tells a complete romance story for someone who we were introduced to in Pride and Prejudice. Short but sweet

This is an excellent plot that keeps you in suspense but not really full of angst. I really liked Alberta!

This is the first book in the Darcy’s Daughters series and is Miss Alberta Darcy and Mr. Charles Wetherby's story with its ups and downs and a villain that will do all he can to keep them apart. I want to read the rest of this series. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Have a tissue handy on the afternoon you allot for this sweet, clean, wholesome, Young Adult Victorian battle against intimidation in London, England, during summer, in a continuation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, featuring best friends, betrayal, coming-of-age, families, and intimidation.
I had an ARC via Booksprout, and this is my voluntary review.

Clean romance

A sweet continuation of the “Pride and Prejudice “ wedding series by the same author.

She holds true to the existing characters but adds some delightful ones in this series.

Strong male and female characters as well as a villain to add some drama.

A great idea. Sadly I found the writing dull and stilted which rather spoiled the reading.
Worth giving it a go though.

This was a lovely story that had a real Pride and Prejudice feel. It was interesting to see Elizabeth as a mother bringing her daughter Alberta to London for her first season. Encounters with Charles and Mr. Blackstone brought back memories of Darcy and Elizabeth’s turbulent interactions and misunderstandings. I had to smile as the challenges with society and potential suitors remain so much the same despite the unique twist for this plot . I enjoyed this sweet quick read with a cosy ending with a hint of HEA on the horizon.
