Camille recently left an award-winning real estate career in San Antonio to become a full-time writer. Along with her husband of 27 years, she home schooled their four children - most of whom are now grown. She has a bucket list that is never-ending, and uses her adventures to inspire her writing. She's lived in Texas, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and California, and spends enough time in Hawai'i to feel like a local. She's traveled to four continents (so far), and met Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II. She just about fainted when she had a chance to meet her musical idol, Paul McCartney, too. Camille studied political science in college, but found working on actual campaigns much more fun. She overdoses on goodies at farmers markets (justifying them by her support for local bakeries), and belts out Broadway tunes whenever the moment strikes. There's almost nothing she wouldn't try, so long as it does't involve heights, roller skates, or anything illegal.

Knitting socks for the boys every Saturday night at what Margaret, Dottie, and Gladys called The Sock ‘Em Club helped ease the pain of missing their loved ones.

These friends shared everything, and they actually shared a big secret Dottie had. This secret was going to be kept under wraps as long as they could.

Other things happening were that Margaret was carrying on correspondence with an unknown soldier, and it was turning into more than just correspondence even though they hadn’t met.

And wonderful Gladys always wanted to be independent, but can she always be independent?

Three lovely characters to fill your heart with joy as well as sadness in this marvelous new book by storyteller, Camille Di Maio.

You will laugh and cry along with the characters, but mostly enjoy meeting them and sharing their lives.

Bring along some tissues, but it is mostly a lovely book that will make your heart swell. 4/5

This book was given to me by the publisher for an honest review.

Three besties, Dottie, Gladys, Margaret, have done what most able women in 1943 did - filled roles of the men gone to war. The girls work at the Brooklyn Navy Yard but still yearn to be doing something else meaningful. They decide to meet on Saturday nights and knit socks for the troops. While listening to tunes on the radio, they encourage each other and keep busy.

Across the ocean, Tom, William, and John, three airmen in the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne, are bunked at a farmhouse in England. Margaret’s brother, John, pleads with her to write to his friend William because he hasn’t received letters from home. When Margaret pops a letter into a pair of socks to be sent to the boys, this simple act changes her life.

At this point the novel takes an epistolary form as readers are following Margaret and William’s developing friendship through letters. Readers can feel the anticipation as the two wait for communication from each other. The letters also are a clever way for the author to inform us about the hardships faced by the men overseas. We learn about the soldiers’ backgrounds, what prompted them to enlist and the effects of battle training and fatigue.

I love the title! I thought of Vera Lynn travelling abroad and singing to entertain the soldiers. “Until We Meet Again” was an incredibly popular song in WW2. I listened to Queen Elizabeth’s address at the beginning of the pandemic and remember hearing her reference this song as encouragement, so it’s still pertinent!

I’d never heard of Wonder Socks before reading this book. I can imagine there were plenty of economic knits for the wartime rationing era. I’m not a knitter but can imagine how difficult it must have been for them to knit on 4 needles. How clever to be able to change out the heels and toes of the socks when they wore out. The result was that there’d be no darning. Necessity really was the mother of invention!

You may already know what Tom, William and John are experiencing if you’ve read/watched ‘Band of Brothers.’ The author incorporated facts about Captain Richard Winters, the commander of Easy Company and the action they were involved in during Operation Overlord. I had flashbacks to visiting the Battleship Missouri when I was reading about the christening and launching of this naval monstrosity and goosebumps at the descriptions of soldiers/tanks in Paris. The quote about the Eiffel Tower as a “monument of endurance”, about the “bottle of Old Spice at home that he used on Sundays,” about George buying “not one, but two telephones. One for each floor of the house,” had me holding back tears or giggling. Di Maio knows how to elicit an emotional response!

“Would we even recognize perfect happiness if it existed without suffering its opposite?”

“Joy and sorrow were like seats on a playground teeter-totter.”

I was gifted this advance copy by Camille Di Maio, Forever Publishing, Grand Central Publishing, and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

World War II has upended the whole world. For three young women in Brooklyn, New York it means they are now helping the war efforts by working at the Naval Yard embroidering, engraving and welding for the USS Missouri. Margaret's brother, John has enlisted and is in England with two new friends, William and Tom. Margaret's best friend, Dottie is engaged to John, but couldn't marry before they shipped out. An early wedding night has left Dottie pregnant and in a precarious position with her family. Dottie moves in with their friend Gladys. The three friends get together after work to knit socks for care packages to send to John and his friends. When John writes back, he asks Margaret if he could write to his friend, William who has yet to receive letters from home. Margaret happily obliges and begins a new friendship. Meanwhile, the guys have begun serious training and participated in the invasion of Normandy. With multiple tragedies, letters become harder to send, but Margaret forges forward to write to the man she had never met and he makes every effort to write to her even as death and destruction surround them.

Until We Meet is a heartfelt and well-rounded story of World War II. With amazing characters, historical detail and a sweet romance, Until We Meet has a strong plot that flows together seamlessly. I absolutely loved all of the characters. Friendship was definitely a theme throughout the story. Margaret, Gladys and Dottie lean on each other throughout their trials and triumphs and celebrate each other's strengths and differences. I loved Gladys' independent, forward thinking, adventurous spirit and ability to solve problems and advocate for women's rights, Dottie's perseverance, kindness and empathy and Margaret's giving nature, support and heart that she places into everything she does. Through these ladies we also see the important work that women did while the men were at war, taking jobs that they were previously banned from, making safety improvements in those positions and supporting the troops overseas in numerous ways. John, William and Tom have an equally important friendship that gets them through the toughest parts of training, battles, tragedies and ties them to the women in Brooklyn. The battle scenes were realistic without being overbearing showing the grittiness, camaraderie, hope and bravery of the men who fought. The letters were another wonderful part of the story, I enjoyed reading about their innermost feelings and seeing the relationship grow through their writing. Until We Meet is exactly the type of historical fiction that I love with brilliant writing, wonderful characters and a story that kept my interest the whole way through.

“A poignant and page-turning story of three women whose lives are forever changed by war…”

If you're looking for a historical fiction that showcases strong female characters then this book is for you! This one takes place in New York City during 1943. The author did a great job describing the setting and making the reader feel as though they were actually reading a historical fiction book. If not done correctly that can easily ruin a book for me. I really enjoyed reading about all three women and how their lives were changing. I want to say more about them but I don’t want to take away from your experience! Just know this book is filled with so many different emotions. You will laugh, you will cry, and you might even throw the book but at the end I do hope you had an enjoyable read.

I would definitely recommend this one to all historical fiction lovers or for anyone who wants to give the genre a try. The writing was so well done and the pacing was on point. I read this one over the course of two weeks and it was easy to pick up and put down, I never had any issue with forgetting any details.

Thank you so much @grandcentralpub for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Camile DiMaio has given her readers a beautifully written and well researched book about two groups of friends during WWII. The men meet in training and then stay together when they go into the war zone. The women all work at the Navy Yard and spend their free time knitting socks, writing letters and doing whatever they can to help the soldiers come home.

Margaret, Gladys and Dottie are very different from each other but they all work at the same place doing jobs that were done by men before the war. Margaret is the most practical woman in the group and is thrilled that she has so many opportunities for jobs now. Her brother is in the Army in Training. Dotty is in love with Margaret's brother and after he leaves for training she finds out that she's pregnant. Her parents kick her out and she depends on her two friends to help her. Gladys is an early feminist who believes that women can and should be able to do anything. The three men also become close friends and have each other's backs no matter what's going on. Margaret starts writing to one of the men and he shares his life with her. She wonders if she'll meet him in person after the war.

The thoughts and feelings of the three men as they faced enemy troops were beautifully written. They shared their feeling about their lives at war but they never quit fighting. This is the first book that I've read that not only talks about the feelings of the women at home but also delves into the emotions of the men who are at war.

This is a book that you don't want to miss. It's about war and there are some pretty brutal battle scenes but overall the book is about love, friendship and family. Family isn't always based on blood sometimes it's based on the people you care about the most. Until we Meet made me smile and it made me cry but the overwhelming feeling throughout the book was the love between both groups of friends.

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Until We Meet is a beautifully written and well-researched novel set during WWII. Camille Di Maio has done a brilliant job crafting a story that is both heartbreaking and hopeful. Readers be warned. While you will visualize these characters, through Di Maio's gorgeous prose and description, you will also FEEL every nuance and emotion along with them. She brilliantly captures the deep love between friends, as well as a blossoming love story shared through poignant, handwritten letters. Fans of Di Maio are in for a real treat.

Compelling, rich, and moving!

Until We Meet is an absorbing, touching tale set in NY during WWII that takes you into the lives of three main characters. Margaret, a practical young woman honoured to be working at the Brooklyn Shipyard on the USS Missouri, knitting socks for those overseas fighting, and corresponding back-and-forth with one of her brother’s fellow soldiers; Gladys, an independent gal determined to do whatever it takes to show that women are more than capable of doing anything that men can do; and Dottie, a sweet, pregnant young lady whose looking forward to her fiancé coming home from the war so they can finally get married and live the life they were meant to live.

The prose is fluid and expressive. The characters are spirited, hardworking, and brave. And the plot is an immersive tale of life, loss, love, hope, grief, family, sacrifices, war, new beginnings, friendship, and a touch of romance.

Overall, Until We Meet is a well-written, tender, lovely tale by Di Maio that does a wonderful job of reminding us just how much hope and joy can be reaped from the little things in life.

I just finished a fabulous story. One that was filled with love, hope, war, and fear. One that had scenes so beautifully written that I had to stop reading to catch my breath. A story filled with characters that filled my heart. UNTIL WE MEET is a story set in World War II that brings a face to the women who were brave enough to fight from home and the men who went out on the front lines. It is a novel that shows friendship both male and female in a light very few have. Showing that sometimes friends become family in life and death. I loved how the letters weaves a story of hope even in the face of tragedies. The characters will remain with me and this is book that will stay in my heart. @camilledimaio__author is a masterful story teller but this novel will cement her place on the shelves nexts to authors like Kristin Hannah. Absolutely a beautiful story. Releases March 1.

Thank you, Camille Di Maio and Hachette Books for the opportunity to read this book. It was released on March 1st, 2022.

Until We Meet by Camille Di Maio is a World War II novel that highlights six different characters.

There is Margaret Beck, she is a “welder woman,” trying to do her best to help the war effort. Her brother is John who is off fighting the war with Tom and William. Her two best friends are Gladys and Dottie. They soon form a little knitting club to make socks for John and his fellow soldiers. This leads to an unexpected pen pal.

John Beck is engaged to be married to Dottie and was shipped off before they could make it down the aisle.

Dottie discovers that her romantic farewell with John resulted in an unexpected pregnancy. She can only tell her best friends knowing that her family will abandon her.

Gladys is anything but traditional! Can she keep her independence and fall in love?

William had become very close with John and Tom. Being away from home is difficult but especially when there are no letters from home it can be more difficult.

Tom helps out his friend William by writing his letters for him and forms an attachment that will help him endure the trauma of war.

I am always hesitant to read World War II novels. I think the subject matter is serious and so important. But the genre is oversaturated and many authors tend to “romanticize” the time period. Books like Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer really show readers different emotions and experiences of the trauma of WWII. This book does have some war descriptions but the focus is on the developing romance between the characters. I did appreciate the different views from the men overseas and the women at home filling in for the jobs of men. However, I think there were too many main characters and relationships happening. There isn’t time for each relationship to establish depth and connection. The book does read really quickly. So if you are looking for a quick read that will transport you to WWII then this is for you.

PUB DAY REVIEW:
UNTIL WE MEET
by Camille Di Maio
Out today.

What a gorgeous cover and what a compelling story of friendship during WWII. In NYC in 1943, we meet Margaret, Gladys, and Dottie as they do their part for the war effort along with knitting socks for soldiers. Across the sea are three men fighting for the Allies: John (Margaret's brother and Dottie's beau), William (who corresponds with Margaret), and Tom.

We see the war through their eyes and the letters they exchange unspool this compelling story uniquely. I grew to care about each character, even worry about them as the war ensues, and that speaks to Camille's strong character development and narrative skills. An absorbing historical fiction tale that brings a war and an era to life through the kaleidoscope of friendship. Highly recommended.

Thanks to the author, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) Forever, and NetGalley for the ARC. Opinions are mine.

I won this in a Goodreads giveaway. This is a great WWII novel. 3 best friends are put to the test. Dottie says goodbye to her fiancee and becomes pregnant when he ships out. Margaret is her friend and sister to her fiancee. She tries to help her friend and the war effort. Gladys is the strong, independent friend with all of the answers. The fiancee John is in England and ends up meeting 2 guys: William and Tom. He asks MArgaret to write to William as he is not getting letters from home. She begins to write to William but Tom starts falling for her...
I didn't learn anything new in this one but it is such a character driven novel that I didn't mind.

The blurb and cover initially got my attention. I think the flow of the story just seemed liked it jumped in a few places that made it seemed like I was missing some parts in between. I can see why it was done but for me, I think it just made it that much more difficult to really get into the story. There are some war action scenes, but it was also interesting to see what women had to do in the early 40's when men went to war. Gladys was an interesting character as well. I loved the ending though. I think fans of Historical Fiction will enjoy this one.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

"The Sock 'Em Club"

This is a book about Margaret, Gladys, and Dottie working at the ship yard in Brooklyn and John, Tom and William fighting in the Army in WWII. Margaret is John's sister and Dottie is John's girlfriend and Gladys is their friend from work.

In their spare time the girls decide to do something for the war effort and they start knitting sock for the soldiers. Then Margaret's brother asks Margaret to put a note in a sock for his friend William that doesn't receive mail from home. They begin writing to each other.

The story is of young people, the war and how they handle tragedy and life events. It is about trust and truth and loyalty.

Gladys is the most independent of all the girls but when she meets Oliver suddenly she has to take a look at her life and find out where her heart is.

Dottie is engaged to John, but when she finds out she is pregnant and John is off fighting the war she is devastated and knitting socks helps keep her mind off the war. When the unthinkable tragedy hits she needs her friends even more.

Margaret has freedom working at the shipyard. She enjoys her work and her freedom. When she starts writing to William she never thinks it will be more than a pen pal to a lonely soldier. Can letters spark a romance?

I enjoyed reading the thoughts, and the fears of the boys overseas and the letters that were written to Margaret. I also enjoyed the friendship between the girls in the shipyard and how they all stood with each other when life happens.

I really enjoyed reading this story, it was heartwarming and tragic. It was a different kind of war story and I really appreciated that. Sometimes it is good to read about the home front during the war and how those left behind are faring.

I would recommend this book it makes for some good reading.

Thanks to Camille Di Maio for writing a great story, to Forever Grand Central Publishing for Publishing it and to NetGalley for making it available to me.

Thank you to the publisher for my audio and digital copy. All opinions are my own.

To clarify. I listened to this title and spoiler....I adored it. Both the story and the audio....let's talk about it a lil.

This story is told from two perspectives and it was done....chef's kiss well. Tom is overseas training and then spans to war time and Margaret is back home in Brooklyn working and doing her part for the war. I love it when the two main characters get to know each other through letters. So pure and sweet and in this day of everything right now....just simple. Look, I know that there are a bunch and I mean a bunch of Historical Fiction based in WWII. This title, for me, stood out by the audio. I felt like I knew these characters. It was completely immersive.

I loved it. Try it. Oh and hey, if you like audio....try the audio. It was fantastic!

This book hit me hard. It captured friendship in all its love and glory, which led me to being an emotional mess. Tears streaking down my face as I plunged head on into the thick of the book. Camille Di Maio masterfully created deeply layered, intriguing characters that all meshed seamlessly together. The descriptions transport you to either New York City where the girls are working hard at the Navy Yard. To the boys across the pond parachuting out of planes and into the unknown of war. These six individuals brought together by letters and the yearning for home.

Margaret is young woman who is doing the most that she can for the war effort. She and her two friends Dottie and Gladys all work in the Navy Yard, taking on the jobs that the men have left in their wake to fight the war. Dottie and Margaret have been friends since childhood. Dottie is engaged to her brother John who is currently in England training, with two other young men William and Tom. The three men quickly become family and the light at the end of the tunnel are the boxes that Margaret sends. With the knitted socks that the three girls knit. Hoping to bring moral and warmth to the soldiers. The boxes and letters knit these two groups of friends together bringing hope and cheer as the war marches on.

I do not want to go into too much detail and give away any of the good bits. This story will make you laugh, your eyes will fill with tears, and you will have to put the book down take a deep breath in order to continue on. It is a fantastic read about friendship, the type of friendship that everyone longs for. Thank you to Camille Di Maio, Forever Publishing, and Books Forward for sending me this heartwarming tale!

It is always a delight reading a creation by the talented storyteller, Camille Di Maio, while visiting the past.

UNTIL WE MEET is well researched and beautifully written, and since her debut and subsequent historical fiction—a huge fan.

1943 Brooklyn, NY: We meet two groups of friends during WWII. The women work at the Navy Yard and spend their time sewing, knitting socks, writing letters, and supporting their men and one another.

Margaret, Gladys, and Dottie are very different, each with their own individual personalities. John and Dottie are together when John goes to war. John rooms with William and Tom and they become the 3 Musketeers.

Margaret likes that there are now many jobs available for the women off to war and wants to help the soldiers. She begins knitting socks and inserts cards/letters in the socks. She develops a pen-pal relationship with the soldier and longs to meet him one day.

Gladys is a feminist who aims to get women's respect and independence in the workplace.

Dottie finds herself pregnant while her fiancé is off fighting the war, and her parents kick her out and want her to give up her child. Knitting is therapeutic for her.

John, Tom, and William face dangers on their end. The three men have a friendship, and their lives are intertwined with the three women on the home front.

A heartfelt story of war, courage, family, grief, tragedy, hope, loss, friendship, and love. Readers will enjoy the emotional picture of women's daily life during wartime through the eyes of three extraordinary women.

In our trying times today and those faced with war leaving their loved ones behind, it makes you stop and think and cherish each moment you have.

Character-driven, I enjoy how the author writes of important events in history or places and blends them with fictional lives of men and women with romance and friendship.

I also loved reading the Epilogue (June 1949). For fans of Author: Lynda Cohen Loigman's The Wartime Sisters and Martha Hall Kelly's The Lilac Girls of Ravensbrück.

A special thank you to #NetGalley and Forever for an advanced reading copy.

I've been a fan of Camille Di Maio's writing ever since I read her debut, so I was definitely eager to read this novel. The cover drew me in a lot too, as it has this old-time feel to it.

Until We Meet is a sweet story about love and friendship. Some moments were emotional and powerful. There was a good narrative with likable characters and I especially enjoyed the letter exchanges. Camille did well with capturing the feel of the time through her use of detail and wording. It was an engaging story, as I wanted to see what would happen for all of the characters.

The plot reminded me of Letters from Home by Kristina McMorris, but with a bit of gender reversal. The story itself also had a feel similar to that novel. It was a more easygoing story about WWII, as opposed to some of the grittier novels I've read. This would work well as a starter novel for someone who wants to read about WWII but just to dip their toes in the water, so to speak. It gives some imagery of what happened during the war, but it also shows what life was like on the home front at the same time.

I would have liked narratives from Dottie and Gladys, as opposed to Tom's voice being half the focus of the story. There were some scenes where his narrative worked well, but I could have done without the war scenes themselves. Dottie's situation was the most compelling and I would have liked to see it from her perspective, instead of Margaret's.

Overall, it's a worthwhile read and if you're looking for a gateway into Camille's books, you won't be disappointed. She's a great writer and I look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

This World War II historical fiction tells the story of three women whose lives intertwine as the men they love are sent off to war. Rather than focusing on battles and strategy, this book shines a light on the friendships, emotional resilience, and everyday challenges of women navigating a changing world.

What I Liked:

The deep, believable friendships between the three women.
How Margaret’s character perfectly captures the push-and-pull between wanting a family and embracing new independence.
Gladys — a firecracker who adds humor and levity in the midst of uncertainty.
The tender, letter-driven romance between Margaret and William, full of longing, hope, and the slow-building connection that comes from written words.
The emotional pull — I cried three times, yet couldn’t put it down and finished it in two days.

What I Didn’t Love:

Being a war story, there are heartbreaking losses, including characters I had grown attached to. It made parts of the book difficult to read, though it fit the reality of the time.
The book didn’t have a lot of character change or deep arcs — it’s more a snapshot of these characters’ lives and the way war altered their friendships, aspirations, and goals for the future. It’s more about the personal losses of war than a richly detailed historical epic.

Final Thoughts:

A heartfelt, emotionally resonant story about friendship, love, and resilience. Loved the romance and how the relationship unfolded through letters. If you prefer historical fiction that focuses on human connection over battlefield scenes, this is one to pick up.

This historical fiction story is set in the 1940s, during the time of World War II.

If I were to have become an author, this is the book I would have wanted to write. This is a perfect story from cover to cover.

The story has friendship, loss, tragedy, grief, sarcasm, love, lies, secrets, survival, perseverance, strength, vulnerability, resilience...etc.

This book is definitely going to be one of my favorite reads of 2025 and will stick with me for many years to come.

Paperclips will forever be looked at differently by me. ❤️

I would give it more stars if I was allowed.

I love Camille DiMaio's novels, and this is my favorite so far. Not only is the WW2 love story authentic and charming, the scenes of battle and of soldiers struggling with trauma and despair ring painfully and powerfully true. Until We Meet doesn't shy away from the destruction and damage that war wreaks on cities and souls, yet its ending is both hopeful and lovely.

A gorgeous cover sets the stage perfectly for this heartfelt story set in 1943. The story follows two group of friends, one here and one abroad, woven beautifully together by a series of letters and dual storylines. With the horrors of war come hope, friendship, love and unexpected challenges for all. The cast of characters are so real, personalities coming alive. Friendships like this are rare and it is nice to see that it is not taken for granted. War scenes while not overly graphic, hit hard at what these young men had to go thru. Well researched. I highly recommend this unique historical fiction.

Thanks to Ms. Di Maio, Forever Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.

Until We Meet is a beautiful story of love and war. Set just after the United States enters WWII, this eloquent novel follows two sets of friends, a trio of women state side and a trio of men set on the edge of war. United by siblings John and Margaret, these young Americans lean on each other to get them through some of history’s darkest moments. Friendships are formed and lives are lost. Love is lost and love is found. What starts as a war time pen pal correspondence, turns into a beacon of hope until they meet.

I LOVED every page of this book! I knew from the very first page that it was going to be a page turner. It was written in such a way that I was able to connect with each of the characters. They made me laugh, they made me smile and they made me cry…it doesn’t get any better than that! I was so invested that I didn’t want the story to end! In fact…can this puhlease be made into a movie?

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Camille Di Maio for early access to this stunning novel! It’s my first 5 star read of 2022!!!

"However this turned out, there were some things you could always count on. Sunlight. Rainbows. Friendship."

Another lovely historical (general/clean) women's fiction by Camille Di Maio. Three female friends in Brooklyn make their way in a changing world, figuring out what they want from life, how they can contribute to the world, and what falling in love will mean for those things. Across the ocean, men in Easy Company struggle through the war, finding hope in the letters they send and receive from the girls. I love learning about Dick Winters and Easy Company, so I liked that this book featured them. Also living in Virginia, I enjoyed the locations referenced here, including Agecroft Hall specifically! The prose was smooth and history was well done. And everyone got their happy ending!

I read an ebook provided by the publisher and Netgalley, but I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions are my own.

This book evokes the American spirit during WWII in such an inspiring way. You get to see the war from the perspective of the women at home and our boys fighting in Europe. Margaret and her two best friends, Dottie and Gladys, each have their own unique experience during the war years while Tom, William and Margaret's brother train and fight all over Europe, enduring heartbreaking loss and horror. Tom and Margaret's relationship through letters developed beautifully in this fresh and stirring story about our past that is still so relevant and needed today. Excellent read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for access to this arc.

I loved this story of friendship and resilience during the big war. The characters were lovely and I adored them all. Told in multiple perspectives, I loved the sisterhood storyline but I absolutely LOVED the war storyline and the brotherhood the men developed. This was rich in history, the author clearly put in a lot of research and planning. The conclusion was everything I wanted it to be! A great historical fiction featuring a unique story.
