It was good. Although I can feel sometimes that it can be a bit cliché. I was also blindsided with how the Duke fell in love quickly or I just missed some event happening. Cause I did not feel any progression for him to fall in love so him confessing felt too quick. But overall, nice story.
Our heroine transmigrates in novel at the prompting of the worlds god who needs a soul not bound to the rules of this realm to try and save the world. She finds herself in the role of a minor character destined to die before the main events. She struggles to find a new path forward. Honestly this is very middle of the road for this genre. It hits the romantic angst, meddling gods, ending apocalypse vibes with a not too serious tone. Our heroine has partial knowledge but immediately begins causing ripples with her own actions. Magical entities swoop in to take away the sacrifice required for a happy ending. It’s fine but it doesn’t have originality. The relationship grows from desires for their own goals, obsession, protection, and then care. It’s not quite instalove but it doesn’t have strong causes or meaning. I appreciate the cheeky deity, but the scheming political and family relationships are rather stock.
