In Southern Illinois, defense attorney Tex Hunter agrees to defend a young man against a murder charge. With an entire city against him, Hunter realizes there’s more to the case than he’s been told.
To discover the truth, Hunter must fight against corrupt police, power-hungry politicians, dishonest judges, and small-town secrets. Digging deep into the mysteries of the area, Hunter uncovers information that will shock everyone.
But if Hunter can't expose the truth in court, an innocent man might be punished... while the real killer watches his every move.
Natural Justice is the sixth book in this high-stakes legal thriller series. It can be read as a standalone novel or part of the heart-pounding Tex Hunter Legal Thriller series.
Tex Hunter is a fantastic lawyer in this story. He has to fight for his client's life in a town filled with corruption, prejudice, and lies! He has another reason as well, his sister, who left for Mexico, shortly after their father was convicted of being a serial killer of 8 young girls. Tex had always felt his father was innocent of this crime, but that he was covering up for someone. If Tex was able to get his client off then his sister would come to reveal what she knew about the murder of the 8 girls. I can't wait for the next book to see what Tex learns.
Tex strikes again. But for real though, I know some small cities with people just like Longford. They actually feel and think like these characters in Longford. I kind of live in a Longford, a few power driven people with money, but we have undercover racism. I just can’t wait to find out the truth behind Alfred’s story. The suspense been killing me. I will not speak on Esther again, I feel she and Tex will cross the line, which will be predictable. I could read this author books 📚 forever.
Great storyline, the author understands Small Town lifestyle, the political power held by a few people, the dirty secrets. The mistreatment and mistrust of outsiders. Tex Hunter is a great character, son of a convicted mass murderer, driven to provide justice for people wrongly accused. Great storyline
The author has written a very intriguing and suspenseful tale of murder in a small town of many prejudice people who are determined to convict an innocent young man and how Tex Hunter tries to get him off. A story full of suspense and excitement.
An attorney from Chicago takes on a murder case for a young man who is innocent. But the town where he lives is filled with unethical people. Some in the highest rank in the town. They lie cheat and try innocent people for murder and other crimes. It takes the skill to take them down.
Brilliant book. I love this series. Such engaging characters and awesome twists. Just when you think you've got it figured out, it goes somewhere else! Couldn't put it down. And Tex and Esther better get together soon! Looking forward to the next one.
I have enjoyed all of the previous Tex Hunter books and couldn't wait for this one. I kept hoping it would get better. The racist stereotype s and political comments obscured the entire novel. Flat characters and no resolution. Do better
This is the first book I’ve read from this author. He really knows how to capture your attention. Tex Hunter is a hard-nosed lawyer who is trying to clear his Dad’s name while trying to get a young, innocent Mexican boy out from under a murder charge.
For me a really good book. The story is really good, however, the court room drama was excellent, corruption, hate, control, anger and a little bit of a love story.
It was a great book. Soo! much corruption and so many twists and turns and many different story lines. Keep reading find out what’s going on in Tex’s family too 😊
Tex Hunter is a great Lawyer and I was happy that he was able to get Javier off that murder charge even though they found him guilty too bad that it doesn't work like that in real world
Also, we need prison reform in a big way. It is truly sad what goes on in prisons. Such corruption is unthinkable. Back to the book… Tex is willing to stand up for the right to justice.
I've read the six books in this series and have enjoyed them all. It is well written and is hard to put down once I start reading. Kudos to you Peter. Keep them coming!
Small town, politics, bad police, jail gangs, good story line. This is a great series. O’Mahoney is not getting better. I’ve read this series from last to first. He’s always been a GREAT storyteller. You need to read!
The Tex Hunter legal stories continue to intrigue me. The need to know the outcome of his personal story will keep me reading even though the legal thrillers have won me over, especially when the endings are always unexpected.
O’Mahoney writes a good story, with tons of twists and turns, but he needs to change up parts of his writing. He becomes either preachy or “woke” when he writes about prison and his court opening statements.
Book 6 I wonder what it would be like to have the kind of mind that is able to write great books. ThIs was another great book that I stayed up till after 2 am to finish. I admit I am an addicted To legal fiction and have now started on book 7. Thsnks Peter
I was surprised with the jurys verdict. I had felt the the police chief was guilty of everything else but I thought he would have had someone else kill Chad.
