There are a few things that make me want to one-click when reading. 1) Age gap, 2) Stepbrother (I will come back to this one) and 3) Taboo. So, naturally, when AOM and the men from WRATH came across my screen I was like ‘yes, please’!
The Acts of Mercy is about Alyssa and Hudson, while there is an age present, this does not appear to be a huge obstacle for the two. Considering them stepsiblings is a big hang up for the two. **Side note. I had a hard time considering them step’s, since both are adults and did not grow up together. For me, it was more of ‘hey we’re adults whose parents got married. ** In any case, this is a major hang-up for them and part of the conflict that they face.
There were twists and turns and hurdles they had to cross, but with their friend-filled support group, Alyssa and Hudson were able to confront these issues together. Ms. Aldrick did the men of WRATH justice with not only this book, but the epilogue as well.

What a super smexy read! Hudson is not looking forward to having his 17 year old step-sister stay with him when she starts college, but concedes to his dad’s wishes anyway. Alyssa had a major crush on her step-brother when she was younger, but hasn’t seen him in years. When Hudson doesn’t recognize her in their chance encounter on the side of the road, Alyssa uses it as a chance to fulfill those fantasies and offer up a bit of a payback to her sexy, egotistical step-brother. Alyssa was great. Her encounter with Hudson gave her a lot of confidence to go after what she wanted. Hudson puts up a good fight against his feelings, but he can’t deny the pull he feels toward Alyssa. Despite their age difference, they both have complicated relationships with their parents in common - some of which will get tested to the breaking point. At its heart, this is a book about being true to yourself and not allowing other peoples’ judgement cloud your path. Hudson and Alyssa definitely have an intense journey to their happily ever after! Acts of Mercy is the 5th installment in the Men of Wrath series by Eleanor Aldrick. It can be read as a standalone. Eleanor Aldrick is a new to me author and I had no problem following along in this 5th book in the series.

4.25 ⭐️ Perfect way the end the series with our final couple Hudson & his Little Red 🤍
This was a taboo romance between 32 year old Hudson and his 17 year old step-sister Alyssa. At this point in my reading journey age gaps don’t phase me in the slightest, in fact I live for them, so this story was great to me. Alyssa like the rest of the ladies in this series was very mature and despite how overbearing and possessive the men of WRATH can be, was more than willing to stand up for herself and not let herself be walked all over. There was a lot of angst and tension between these two as they tried to fight their pull to one another. In spite of the “incident” that kickstarted their connection, Hudson just couldn’t stay away. There was a little back and forth until he couldn’t stand the idea of another man touching her and he finally decided judgement be damned, they were going to be together 🖤
The twist at the end spooked me for a second but like Hudson I was sceptical 🤔 Enjoyed the way it played out though. I cannot express enough how much I loved the epilogue and seeing everyone with all their kids 🥹

This was way more than a step sibling taboo book.
It had me crying, smiling and crying again.
I was rooting so hard for Hudson and Alyssa to get together and sometimes I even hated Hudson and just wish he will get his head out off his has long enough to realize age is just a number and dude you are not related.
And the twist at the end .. did not see that one coming.

Oh, this book was so good!!! Eleanor Aldrick has outdone herself!
Acts of Mercy is a stepbrother, age gap, taboo romance scene starring Hudson and Alyssa. Hudson is 32 years old and one of the founders of the security firm Men of Wrath. Hudson’s dad has forced Hudson to have Alyssa, his 17 year old stepsister, stay with him while she attends college. Hudson hasn’t seen her in years and when they meet he is in for a rude awakening. In front of him stands a beautiful young woman he’s attracted to. Alyssa’s truck had broken down on the side of the road and Hudson stopped to help her not knowing who she was. Things happen between the two and tension arises.
Hudson and Alyssa had a hard time with the fact that they’re step siblings and incredibly attracted to each other. Technically, the two didn’t grow up together so in my opinion they weren’t really step siblings, but this was a source of conflict for the two. Both have similar relationships with their parents and their already strained relationships get tested. Hudson and Alyssa go through a series of twists and turns, but with the help and support of an amazing group of friends they were able to work things out.
This book was steamy, there was intense chemistry and sexual tension, and I loved these characters. Hudson’s alpha nature and Alyssa’s development into someone who stands up for herself was amazing! I absolutely loved this book, and the epilogue was perfect!

This is some bullshit! I was excited to read this book...then I actually started to read it. Then, when I realized what was happening in the first two chapters, I f**king couldn't do it. This little bitch morally RAPES her step-brother. By that, I mean she literally takes away his CHOICE to not commit an egregious illegal and immoral act. She is underage (17yo) and technically related to him. She selfishly seduces him, then f**ks him (loses her virginity in the cab of a truck), then is annoyed with him when he acts accordingly once discovering she is the LITTLE SISTER he's been tasked with protecting. There is a moral gray area in DD/lg books, and this book crossed it, gave the double bird, and then fist f**ked it's little sister.

Hudson and Alyssa's story is HOTT!! These two forbidden step siblings had so much sexual tension you could feel the heat between these two. Alyssa has always fantasized about Hudson even though he never even knew she was alive half the time, but when he doesn't recognize her stranded on the side of the road things start to heat up. Hudson was not one to ever want to be tied down but things changed when the fiery redhead won't leave he mind. These two are by far one of my favorite couples of this series. I can't wait for more!!

What a wild ride!!!!!! I am so sad to see the men of WRATH end but holy crap that was going out with a bang!!! I love that Alyssa stood her ground and went after what she wanted. Hudson was a total alpha with a filthy mouth I loved. The sexual tension was off the charts! But the twists that I did NOT see coming had flipping pages faster than I could keep up! Amazing, brilliant and sexy story. I love the men and women of WRATH

First of all, the pages in this book are so beyond gorgeous! The images at the start of each chapter are so stunning and they actually align with what happens in the chapter - I loved this so much!
The story itself was super good too! It was quick paced, spicy and a tad thrilling! I loved the alternating POV's and loved the characters. This was such a fun and sexy Billionaire/Stepbrother trope dark romance! The last portion was a tad cringey and also had a loose end that I felt could have been addressed, but otherwise I loved it! I will definitely read the other books in this series!

Acts of Mercy by Eleanor Aldrick….
When Alyssa’s car, Big Red, breaks down on her way to her stepbrother, Hudson’s house, she never expects him to be the guy who pulls over to help. It’s been a couple years since they’ve seen each other and while he doesn’t recognize her, she instantly recognizes him. They’re instantly drawn to each other and the chemistry is hot. Thinking it’s her only chance with him, she doesn’t tell him who she is and that she’s a virgin before they have a roadside quickie! But after she immediately tells him they’ll never be, leaving him determined to change her mind. He’s never felt a deep connection with anyone and refuses to let her go. But he agrees to give her time, but before walking away he snaps her license plate to find out who she is.
It’s not long before the red headed beauty climbs out of the cab in Hudson’s driveway, leaving him speechless and angry. He feels betrayed she lied, angry at himself and disgusted knowing he has intense feelings for his stepsister. He does everything to avoid her, takes job out of town, avoids her while at home. But nothing helps, he can’t stop thinking about her. And he finally gives in to his feelings and tells her she’s his.
But just as their admitting their feelings and thinks everything is going good, his dad drops a huge bomb on him. Alyssa also gets some life changing news and can’t wait to tell Hudson. But he’s reeling from the bomb his dad’s dropped he tells her they can’t do anything ever again. She ends up running from him and right into danger.
This was a fairly quick read and took a bit for me to get into, it felt a little rushed. But I did enjoy it and glad I read it! I recommend reading from book 1, I didn’t and had no clue about the side characters and their story.

Acts of Mercy is the fifth and final book in the Men of Wrath series. It was my first read from this author and I can guarantee it won't be the last. Good plot line, great characters and the sexual tension was *chefs kiss*
Alyssa is the 17 year old step sister of 32 year old Hudson, one of the founding members of the security firm, Men of Wrath. Hudson's dad is married to Alyssa's mom and he's forcing Hudson to take Alyssa in while she's attending college. Hudson hasn't seen Alyssa in years so just remembers her as a gawky 14 year old in pig tails. Imagine his shock when he is confronted with an absolute bombshell - in the most unlikely of situations.
Alyssa's truck has broken down on the side of the road and Hudson stops to help her. She knows who he is but he has no idea who she is. Alyssa uses the situation to her advantage as she has always had a huge crush on Hudson but when Hudson realises what they have done he is completely torn apart over it.
The pull between the two of them is undeniable and the chemistry was explosive. Can I just say - the garden shed scene is panty meltingly hot!! A must read!
I enjoyed the way this book linked in with the previous ones despite the fact I haven't read them. It didn't take away from my experience but it did make me want to read the other books now so kudos to the author!! I really like the other wives/girlfriends of the men of WRATH. The bond they have and invite Alyssa to join is just wonderful. I love seeing women have each others backs.
I LOVE forbidden age gap tropes and this was no exception. If that's your jam then one click this baby right now!!

I received an arc for an honest review. This book is the first book from Eleanor that I read, and it was amazing. I finished this treasure a few days ago but I couldn't put the right words into this review neither to the edit on itself so I waited... and I truly hope this review is the one.
This book is more than just a five stars review for me, this book is so much more than I expected. It was a truly beautiful adventure.
Hudson is literally everything you want in a person, the way he was with Alyssa was totally divine and ravishing. I could feel everything he was feeling and during my reading I smiled a lot but I also was really surprised, confused, mad and one last thing... hot!!! This was a huge surprise for me, because I was not waiting for this to be this extremely sexy and emotional. Also, the fact that he doesn't even recognized her at first was just so perfect!
Alyssa was such an amazing protagonist to read, the confidence, the talent, her vibes, the way she was talking, her intense journey to get what she wanted and everything was just immaculate power!! Alyssa was screaming girl power, and I loved every second of it. These two are pure perfection for each other and even if their story was intense and a bit confusing for both of them it was a masterpiece and Eleanor's pen was just so cute, hot, full of talent and magic.
I highly recommend this book, you will love this step brother romance, trust me. Thank you for this book and thank you for these two. They deserve the world and I'm so glad I got a chance to read about them. 💖🖤

Acts of Mercy
This book started our like a house on fire. I couldn't put it down. But were so many "huh" moments that I even turned back to find out when did Charlotte get shot and end up in the hospital?All through the book, Hudson's dad just had to talk to Hudson and it was important. Well what the dad finally told Hudson the big secret concerning Alyssa, now mind you this was very sensitive information but dad says in a very uncouth manner, "You can't fuck her.". There were many unnecessary uncouth moments throughout the book. Now comes the ending. No you don't see what happens coming then you scratch your head and say " huh? " again. It's like those made for TV movies, the first hour and forty -five minutes have keep your interest but you wonder how everythings going to be tied up and those last fifteen minutes are stupid. Okay I admit this was the first book I read in the series, and probably the last, all are suppose to be stand alone books. Crucial errors in editing would ruin an important sentence on a subject matter. Really had me liking the story at first but so many characters in and out of the storyline. Up and down and very scattered. Eleanor, I few less crass words coming out of the important characters. The sexual situations were lacking believability. Not very imaginative. Same dribble from fifty thousand other books. All in all Act of Mercy was good but not great. Disappointing ending ruined the whole story for me. I hope the other books in the series are better.

At fourteen, Alyssa meets, Hudson, when her mother, for the most part, drops her at the mansion and leaves, for their honeymoon. He took pity on her, she thought. In four years, she and her mom went from a cramped apartment in the OC to a mansion, and now to Hudson’s. To hanging out, with some of the most elite, couples in Dallas. Loving the women of Wrath, they are her, ride or die girls.
It’s her indiscretion, on the way out to stay with, Hudson that has his patties, in a bunch. Because she didn't disclose, who she was, he is labeling her a liar. For her, her longtime crush had seen her for the first time. Not as a little girl, but as a woman. Now he is mad at her for lying, WAIT! Hold up. Why didn't he ask her how old she is?

OMG!! What a great ending for the series of The Men of Wrath I loved all the twist and turns the series, and this book took me on, just when I thought I had it figured out I was thrown for a loop. The story between Alyssa and Hudson is very emotinal and seductive.
Eleanor took me to a familiar place in my life when I was moving around in the military, I had a tight group of ladies who always supported each other. It reminded me of the Women of Wrath relationship and how strong and supportive, they are of each other. One of my favorite lines of the book is “we’re the ladies of wrath. We don’t have secrets; we don’t do judgment and sure as F@ck don’t do pity.’
In the end I loved how everything tied up with the series if you love tight knit groups, twist and loops you will love the series.
Note: One of the things I love about this series is that you can read each book as a stand-alone.

Okay, it had taken me a few days to get the courage up to type up a review. Though it was a five star read, just writing a review for any book seemed as a chore for me since I gave a book by another author a one star. But guys- lemme tell you about this amazing book!!!
Acts of Mercy is the book to get you worked up, screwed up, and smiling all within five minutes of reading it. The way Hudson was with Alyssa, that was spot on perfect. He was possessive in a good way and literally the way you would typically crave your man/significant other to be.
It gives a lot of tropes (only non-spoiler one is Step-Sibling) that you’ll grow to love, if you don’t already. So, go on Amazon. Order the book. Hell- I wanna physical one to put with my other fave, Acts of Grace.
Also, El- if you’re reading this, yes, yes you did top Acts of Grace in my opinion. This is my favorite book written by you and it is my third favorite book this year now!

This is the 5th book in this series, and I am blown away that this talented author just continues to get better and better with each of her story’s. This is my favourite, Hudson, and Alyssa’s journey. These two are step siblings, who both have complex relationships with their parents. Hudson is not happy when his dad asks him to let Alyssa stay with his while she is at college, but he agrees. These two have not seen each other for years, and when Alyssa breaks down at the side of the road Hudson comes to her rescue, and he does not recognize her, so she decides to have some fun with him. This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, and is intense, with twists, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author and I highly recommend her work.

Acts of Mercy is a book with everything you shouldn’t like but do. It has steam, drama, loads of passion, and oh so taboo. Lusting after her step-brother is a hard no, but Alyssa can’t seem to find fault in it. She has wanted him for as long as she can remember but never acted on it because he is her family, after all. However, when Alyssa sees an opportunity to sneak into Hudsons pants, will she take the blessing in disguise or will he see right through her guise and shoot her down?
This is the 5th book in the Men of WRATH series, although it is not necessary to read the others beforehand. Acts of Mercy is a stand-alone, although I will now be going back and reading the others since this one was so great. Eleanor Aldrick did an amazing job at keeping me entertained and turning the pages as quickly as possible. 4 stars!!

entertaining, well written taboo romance. Alyssa has always had a crush on her stepbrother Hudson, and when she sees the chance to seduce him, she takes it. Hudson is on his way home, preparing the spare room for his stepsister who is moving in with him, when he sees a nice car at the side of the road with an even more beautiful woman. He only finds out later that the woman is his stepsister, but by then he was already sold and couldn’t stay away despite her being younger and his stepsister. Nice characters, Hudson a lovely alpha man. The stories of the bee characters seem nice too, so I will definitely want to read the other stories in the series. You notice that it is a series, but the story stands on its own.

This is the third I've read in the series, and by far the best. Yes I still am annoyed with the dual single POV, and I swear I need a character sheet for the amount of people the reader must keep straight. The age gap and forbidden fruit trope of this takes it from borderline naughty into dark and dirty, which is my favorite. I'm all about dark romance and this story gave it to me. Hudson's controlling domgnance was sexy as hell. Not to mention I think I fell in love simply because of the truck. Thank goodness I read this one last as I probably would have bought the entire series at full price and maxed out my credit cards in the process. While I started this series because it was recommended and on sale, and I wasn't really excited about it, I'm super glad I read this book.

We got a real good teaser for this book with Merciless a few months ago, and I've been looking forward to Acts of Mercy. I had no idea just how good this book would be. The author definitely saved the best for last. Hudson's a manwhore, until he gets a taste of Alyssa. But he can't commit, can't get past her age and the taboo of her being his stepsister. I got whiplash watching him make up his mind. I love Alyssa. Did she trick Hudson? Absolutely. But she's smart and beautiful, confident enough to go after what she wants - him. And just when you think they've got it together, family secrets nearly destroy them. The book was incredible - a sexy couple with so much chemistry. Acts of Mercy by Eleanor Aldrick is the fifth book in the Men of WRATH series. This is by far one of my favourite series and this book is definitely my favourite taboo book of the entire series. This was the first book of the series I read. I read a sample a couple of months before receiving this ARC and couldn't wait to see what happened between Alyssa and Hudson. So I read the others in the series to get prepared. Hudson and Alyssa had a different kind of relationship from the start and I was wondering how/ if they would end up together after finding out they were in the same family. Hudson is definitely my favourite WRATH man and I cannot wait to read about the other men and their relationships throughout the other books.

Hudson wants Alyssa the moment he stops to help her with her broken down vehicle. Alyssa realizes that he doesn’t recognize her, and can’t help but to let their passion overtake them. Later, Hudson finds out that his dream girl is his stepsister. This causes all sorts of confusion and guilt, but they can’t stay away from each other. However, this story has a few twists with an angry ex, interfering parents and of course, the taboo of being step-siblings. I thought this romance was intense, entertaining and steamy hot. I really liked both Alyssa and Hudson, and feel for the dilemma they are in, but really loved them together.

'Acts of Mercy' is a taboo stepbrother, age gap romance and is the 5th book in the Men of Wrath series. It's a high heat book with emotions all over the place told from a dual p.o.v.. Both Hudson and Alyssa struggle with the double taboo they face. Hudson tries to fight his attraction to Alyssa while she accepts it regardless of what others think. There is a little bit of intrigue as Alyssa's mother meddles and causes a world of trouble for the family as a whole. I devoured this book in one sitting as I couldn't wait to read what crazy happened next. I highly recommend this book as it is well written with a wild and crazy romance.

By far my favorite book of this series!!! I hate to see the guys from WRATH go but what a way for it to go out. Hudson has the shock of his life when a hookup turns out to be his step sister he feels ashamed, saddened, yet he also doesn’t feel too terrible at all. Alyssa has always had a crush on him for years and in a way she takes advantage of a situation she feels bad yet she doesn’t. They know they need to fight this attraction as it is considered taboo but there are people out there that doesn’t want to see them together. The twists, turns, and different things that occur keep you sucked in and I loved their story.
