The tales of Heracles (Hercules), the greatest of the Greek heroes. Includes the Twelve Labors and many other stories, such as detailed and easy-to-read retellings of the tragedies “Alcestis” and “Heracleidae” by Euripides, “Women of Trachis” by Sophocles, and other ancient sources. The book is based on the translation of the bestseller “What The Ancient Greeks And Romans Told About Their Gods And Heroes” by Nikolay A. Kun. The content of this book is also included in the compilation "Myths and Legends of Ancient Greece."
I found this book for discounted price or free on Kindle store and thought of giving it a try. I donot have a lot of experience with Greek mythology but I do know the basics .. The book was a quick read and mostly a crash course or beginner guide for someone new to Greek mythology. Would recommend if you are new to Greek mythology and want to dip your toes . The language is plain and simple , you won’t need to pull out a dictionary
