My one complaint is that I think the overall story composition lacks a little. It feels like there are a lot of abrupt jump cuts that leave a lot out sometimes. Especially with regards to flashbacks.

things to live for: (1) nobara & megumi pulling ultra-deduction to get yuuji a girlfriend, (2) second-year satosugu constantly on the move maligning people, (3) toji fushiguro losing bets, eating takeout, stabbing high schoolers, & not remembering his son’s name : )

lowkey wanna be riko like gojo protecting me and taking care of me like that heheheheh 😛😛 also i love the scene where riko, gojo, geto, and kuroi are just on the beach having fun like those scenes are always so nice. and the fact that it was gojo’s idea for riko!!! he’s so thoughtful oml. andddd geto being concerned about gojo (which, btw, he’s putting himself through sm for them) is so sweet. and then gojo going “i’m good, man. […] besides…you’re here too.” LIKE!!! 💗 SATOSUGU THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU.

Everything about this volume was so delightful I couldn't help but squeal a lot.

Seriously, I don't know what I was expecting when I started to read it, but it wasn't quite expecting the very different perspective that we got to explore more of the characters, the story, and the world in general.

It was clever and funny, filled with interesting ideas and the gut-wrenching knowledge that something terrible looms just around the corner like a nightmare it had me hooked and raving in instants.

“Those who are focused on a single way to win are easy to manipulate when presented with the opportunity.”

The characters, though familiar, were all really refreshing and interesting to get to know better... or, rather, to get to understand better.

I'll admit, that the change in perspective disoriented me a little at first but, well, I can hardly argue with the way it expands and details the events that are currently happening. After all, our present is hardly ever standing alone in an isolated, frozen moment.

Let's not forget that it was also rather amusing.

Seeing the personal beliefs of certain characters also shed some light on their actions, as it's often the case, and made it all the more fascinating.

“Anyway, it should be okay. We’re the strongest.”

This was a lot more fun than I was expecting... and also way much tenser than I had thought.

I need to grab the next volume ASAP.

I am beyond excited to finally be reading this volume as, finally, here starts what I don't know about the story and I AM ALL HERE FOR IT.

I suspect, rather strongly, that things are going to go very wrong soon, way sooner than later, and I'm not sure I'm here for it. I need all the characters to be happy, and Yuuji to remain the sunshine child he is. Anything else is unacceptable.

This new arc is fascinating, seeing a second year Gojo is the best thing I would ever seen. He's just so cool and sexy. And seeing him working together with Geto is a concept I thought I've never going to see.

The introduction for Toji Fushiguro is also pretty interesting. I still don't see the appeal that people have for him, but well, it's still too early to say something.

AND, seeing a first year Nanami, is something I didn't expected!!

Jujutsu Kaisen vol. 8 is where season 1 of the anime ends and where season 2 will start, I'm so excited to read it. Now I'm half way through and it really doesn't disappoint!

At the beginning, we got to see Yuji and Co. fighting two of the Cursed Infants brothers and the fight scene is very impressive!

Then in the next part, we go back in time to see the younger Satoru, Geto and Shoko in their high school year and they are just sooooo cute!! I even like Riko Amanai as well!!! But Megumi's dad is scary!!! I also like the younger version of Utahemi and Mei Mei doing a mission together (before they got interrupted. LOL)

The interaction among Satoru, Geto and Riko is also so cute damn it! So it makes what happens next to be even sadder.

PS: the author really doesn't mind killing off their characters it is damn scary!!!!

PSS: I saw this fanart online and I do believe it's what the Fushiguro Family's homelife would have looked like if things were different. XD

We finally meet the elusive Fushiguro Toji. I knew he was a deadbeat, but dang, he exceeded my expectations. This was equal parts hilarious and action packed. It’s always nice to see Gojo, Geto, and Nanami as students.

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING TF UP!!!!! another one of my fav characters is here 😭😛😩 that fact that toji doesn't have any cursed techniques but makes up for that and MORE. he's such a unique character and i love him so much even with the small amount of time he has in the series.

geto and gojo 💔 i love how gojo is the chaotic one and geto is the calm between the two. young geto is everything to me 😭 they are so tragic it makes me want to cry. getting to see their past together in the volume was so good, i want more!! i'm so ready for the toji x gojo fight next volume.

side note: does anyone get excited to rank their fav characters by the end? because i’m so excited to see how it will change once i’m fully finished. i’m definitely doing a ranking after the last volume 🤭
