…wow what a SHIT SHOW!!!
I usually try not to write bad reviews because I feel bad and everyone has different opinions with books…but if someone’s like me with book tastes and I can save them from reading this💀 ima do it.
I stupidly got hooked to read this book by a TikTok talking about a little scene in her…big mistake (won’t be making it again)
This book was just…well horrible.
There was so much “he did this and we did that” but no SHOWING IT! Like I’m sorry how was this book that long except like nothing happened except Trevor or whatever that dumbass man’s name was being a dick and a sorry of an excuse of a main lead throughout the whole book…
Ima tell y’all the shit that had me RAGING IN THIS. So if you don’t want spoilers skip this.
1. He quite literally assumed she’s after money when she tells him she’s pregnant after there one night stand three months prior…even though she did nothing but tell him she was pregnant and that’s all💀 she didn’t ask for anything, so the man’s words in that moment were unnecessary and DISGUSTING.
2. Doing the bare minimum and acting like he’s such a “golden boy” for it😶 I’m sorry? What? Literally goodbye.
3. This one’s the BIG ONE…when she tells him A DEEP SECRET…like I’m talking TRAUMATIC AS HELL CONFESSION, he doesn’t say anything, keep in mind she’s heavily pregnant right now, he literally doesn’t say anything. And when she leaves (probably feeling like the man she loves doesn’t care) he lets her. And instead of going to her the next day and apologizing saying it was shock that led him to freeze up…he ignores her ABANDONS HER for a damn MONTH!! And his damn “excuse” for this shit was and I quite directly from the book…
“But I just couldn’t face her without a gift in hand” I’m sorry…does this man think “gifting” her the murder of her rapist will excuse him literally ignoring her when she needed him most? Like WTF? And when he tells her this, WHEN HE FINALLY communicates with her the reason he’s ignored her and the son she’s carrying, she legit tells him “our son deserves better than a father who’s a murderer”! I swear this man has no brain cells!
Why did he think becoming a murderer would make everything better for her future? Like TF? She’d literally just lose him when he’d land in jail. And the baby wouldn’t know his father.
In conclusion this was the biggest waste of time. The man kept being a douche bag without barely saying sorry for it. The big mistake he made with her rapest? YOU GUESSED IT! Absolutely no groveling! But don’t worry sweetheart’s because he’s so kind and thoughtful 💀 just listen to one of his excuses when she asks why he didn’t tell anything:
“Because I wanted it taken care of up front. I don’t want you to have to worry about him anymore”
Ummm….so you wanted to kill a man who’s already locked in jail? And let’s not forget that this happened when she was 17…it’s been a little while and she’s finally in a place where she’s strong enough to move past it, and this man wants to bring all that trauma up again by killing him…legit the stupidest MMC I’ve ever read.
Overall really didn’t enjoy this read.
Decided to be a generous and give it a two star for Jessica’s best friend (she was really the only character in this book that made me wanna keep reading) and maybe Jessica too.

I really liked this book. The characters made real-life type mistakes, sometimes the reactions were a bit extreme but it made for an interesting story. Trevor is flawed and Jessie just wants to feel wanted and loved.
The one thing I didn't like is that Trevor had remorse for his preferences and it wasn't addressed. Any differently and he wouldn't have met Jessie. She felt a lot of things that night but not one was regrettable (aside from the initial reactions about the nine-month bug she ended up with) and it would have been perfect if that conversation was had. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Was recommended by BookTok and got to say not really impressed. Yes he did a bit of groveling but he reminds me of a man who had no clue about anything but his selfish wants. I finished reading it because I wanted to see what happens but wasn't overly impressed.

it was an average read for me, mostly because everything centers aroung the pregnancy at one point or another and, unless you're into the trope, you'll find the lack of any other type of development a bit dull.

I really hate saying this about an authors work because it takes so much to write a book. But this was so profoundly terrible…the reviews on KU were expeditiously misleading. This feels like a practice manuscript’ something someone wrote to put feelers out and test their capabilities.
The author isn’t a bad writer per say. What they needed was an in depth developmental edit. Fundamentally, so much in this book didn’t make sense. It started out okay and I had hope it would get better but books like this give the pregnancy trope such a bad rap. Trevor and Jessica have chemistry and during moments of them talking you can see why they are attracted to each other.
But the decisions they made were confounding. Also. What was that ending!? Little sense to be found or had.
This is not a dark romance, contrary to the title, nor is it very spicy. I don’t want to rant about it but this desperately needed a good editor and several more drafts before even being close to publication ready.

Trevor Keller is a Investment Banker whom has moved from "The Big Easy" to " The Big Apple" to work on Wall Street ,,,, his best friend is Jaxson Liddell who still lives in Louisiana ,,,, his manager at work is Lars Gustav ,,, ,,,, Trevor was feeling kinda lonely and was interested in a woman's company and of course, he calls the only person he knows to call ,,,,, "The Wishmaker" of course ,,,,!!!,,,, This could be the best decision of his life or the worst ,,,,
This was a great read ,,,, it has action, some adventure, and some very hot steamy scenes,,,, I would so totally recommend this book to anyone,,,,, !!!

This is the fifth book in this series of the Billionaires Secret Club and each can be read as a stand alone. I felt like this was the sweetest one, and it steered away from a lot of the dominant scenes. Trevor needs to unwind so he asks the wishmaker for a date, sweet Jessie answers the bid. One night of no entanglements turns wrong and Trevor has to step up.
What did I like? I liked the chemistry between Trevor and Jessie as they try to do the right thing. Even though Trevor turns Jessie away at first, it’s nice to see him take responsibility. Out of all the books, I think of Trevor as the nice guy. It’s nice to see the nice guy get a HEA.
Would I recommend or buy? If you know the series then you’ll notice a shift in this one. It really down plays the wish maker, and although it was clearly a one night stand... Trevor is just amazing. I enjoyed the struggle they go through, and the drama. Wished it had more Dominant though. You’ll love it though if you’ve read the series and like the others.
Thoughts for the author? I’m not really enjoying the problems with the files through Booksprout either not uploading or getting the wrong book. Not sure what it is but I certainly hope it straightens out. Congratulations on your release! Thanks to Booksprout for finally getting me a copy to read and give my honest opinion. Four stars.

Seems I was sent the wrong ARC to read

I read Damaged by C.C. Piper but it seems I got the wrong book. The story I got was about James and Emma. Emma end up married to James Carter in Vegas and the next morning she's gone and so is 50,000 dollars. Seems she stole the money to get her brother out of trouble. He's been gambling and doing drugs and owes some people big time money. But what Emma doesn't know is that a drug addict and gambler will never stop doing what he's doing as long as someone is there to bail him out. I loved this story but am confused about the story that I downloaded and read. This was a great story with lots of twist and turns, a pages turner and great love story. I think I'll e-mail Mx. Piper and see if she will give me the wright story to read. I received an ARC of this book for an honest opinion

Damaged: A Dark Billionaire Romance by C.C. Piper is book 5 in The Billionaire's Secret Club Series. This is the story of Jessica Isabelle Souza and Trevor Keller. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book. Trevor is a Investment Banker who has special bedroom taste and finds himself lonely which leads him to 'The Wishmaker" who sets him up with a women...Jessica. Jessica hasn't had a very easy life and it isn't getting any better. Working two jobs and going to school to get her degree which she is just down to one semester left. When she ends up loosing some work which she can't afford. Jessica is lead to be an escort for just one night to get the money she needs which leads her to Trevor. They have a very hot night that was to be only one night but Jessica finds out later that there was more to that night.
Enjoyed their story and hope to read more from this author.

A struggling college student was forced to sell herself one time to a client with a liking to asubtle BDSM. Their one-night turned otu to be most fruitful, as the college student Jessica became pregnant. At first, informing the father caused some rejection and denial. Then the father's conscience seem to make a sudden appearnce. Thus we now have a very involved father/partner. It seems that the courtship followed after having the baby. Then HEA.
I like the reality of the story. I feel for the strugglng Jessica and the measures she did to survive.
I commend the author's view/message of showing such a heroine in her condition,and the HEA for her.

This is the fifth book in C.C. Piper’s The Billionaire’s Secret Club Series which focuses on Trevor Keller, a bored millionaire who was an investment banker, and Jessie Souza, a college student who is self-sufficient due to her difficult life. They are introduced by the Wish Maker when Trevor requests one night with a women agreeable to his sexual needs. Jessie agrees to the night since she needs the money. Will Trevor believe Jessie is pregnant with his child after their night together or will Trevor turn his back on her? I recommend this well written book with its complex characters and an interesting plot with sizzling chemistry and sex.

I received an arc for an honest review. I loved this book. We met Jessie, who has had quite a troubled life. Then we are revisited by Trevor, who was in a previous book. Trevor is an investment banker who is lonely, and the wishmaker gets them together. Jessie needs the money from the wishmaker and it is just for one night. However, they do like one another and then something happens to Jessie and it is up to Trevor to decided whether he believes Jessie and what he wants to do. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more with twists and turns. Richard a CEO Billionaire finds a BDSM CLUB and would like his fantasies filled and that is when he meets Chrissy, does Chrissy sign his contract or will she walk away. The chemistry between them is hot and steamy.

One night at the club together changes their lives forever. Damaged is book five and a standalone in The Billionaire's Secret Club series. The characters are well developed and their chemistry is hot. Damaged is a great addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

These characters had this amazing chemistry. trevor has special tates in the bedroom and he uses the service of the Wishmaker who introduces him to Jessica. Jessica has had a miserable life and she needs one night to try to get ahead of everything that goes wrong in her life. The story is captivating and entertaining at the same time.

This is the fifth book in this wonderful series, each book is easily read as a standalone but trust me they are all brilliant and so I recommend reading them all regardless of which order. This is Jessie and Trevor’s story and it’s an awesome read from the very first page to the last page. The plot and the characters are amazing, a joy to read.

This book was my first books to read by this author and definitely won't be my last. Once I picked it up I had a hard time putting the book down. It was romantic, amazing, wonderful and a mix of dark tossed in there and made it awesome. The whole series is great and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Trevor & Jessie meet on a blind date set up by The Wishmaker and we already know Trevor from the Jax & Roxy story, in fact a few characters link in from other books.
Trevor is actually awful to Jessie when she comes to see him and she hates him for the way he treated her.
He eventually realised and comes to his senses but will Jessie forgive him especially when he cocks up again and leave her high and dry for months after telling her he was there for her and wouldn’t leave.

Jessie has not had an easy life but when the wish maker gives her an offer she can’t refuse, she agrees to spend a night with Trevor. What will happen when a few months later, Jessie shows up and she is pregnant. Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, steam and great characters. The story held my interest throughout. I liked it.

Wishmaker is back this time with trevor & Jessica. This one has alot of twist and turns and kept me on my seat, what happens when you have a young lady who is down on her luck and a millionaire who wants certain things in the bedroom. You get a hot sex. A pregnancy and a great read

Oh lordy this book gives the word scorching a whole new meaning. It's wicked ! Trevor and Jessie's chemistry was like a blow torch although you'll be crestfallen at times then you'll feel hopeful once again I've really enjoyed this series and hope there will be more added in the future.

A well written story continues this series. I liked the characters who were intriguing. I wondered what might happen as the story progressed because the author carefully crafted it to build suspense as the story played out. Great story.

This is book five in a great series that can be read as stand-alone books. In this book we get to see the interaction between Jessie and Trevor which pulls you in from the start, with a fast paced read with lots dramas and plenty of steamy moments to keep you gripped. Totally loved these characters definitely worth reading 100%

Who thinks they can produce an offspring because the used precaution....the only full proof method is abstinence....does he believe her? can it really have happened? Trevor makes a complete turn around once his head wraps around the idea that it can happened..but will Jessie's past come get in the way.. will Jessie believe he changed?

It's my first time reading this authors work and I was not disappointed with the series. There were times I felt the attraction between the couples was running too fast which made it unnatural.
Having said that I enjoyed the banter between all the couple and this kept me laughing uncontrollably throughout.
It was an easy 5 stars for me.

This is the fifth book in this series of the Billionaires Secret Club and each can be read as a stand alone. I felt like this was the sweetest one, and it steered away from a lot of the dominant scenes. Trevor needs to unwind so he asks the wishmaker for a date, sweet Jessie answers the bid. One night of no entanglements turns wrong and Trevor has to step up.
