I was blessed with a mother who instilled the love of reading in me at a young age. That progressed into a passion for the written word in all forms, which led to my writing. Today that love of storytelling translates into my desire to write and share my stories with others. I write in many genres, but I’m currently concentrating on romantic suspense and paranormal.
My day job is about as uncreative as it gets. I do medical transcription, spending numerous hours at the computer each day trying to decipher the mumbled, garbled and often unrecognizable words the physicians are dictating, in an effort to make a complete and comprehensive patient record. It’s almost as bad as trying to read their handwriting!
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I’ve lived in various places throughout my youth, from California to Hawaii and back to Florida (Key West), before finally settling in Texas. I make my home outside Dallas, Texas with my spoiled black lab (Missy).
I am a member of Romance Writers of American and the Dallas Area Romance Authors (DARA), where I’m an active member; you can find me at the local meetings each month.

Destiny is a smark hacker cookie & such a sassy character. Her atttiude is her armour. Dane has been hiding & is rich apparently. When the blast from the past comes to kill, Dane needs to keep him & his woman safe. Again exciting to watch the passion unfold between them & the wonderful family intervention. Watch out!

Dane is the tenth installment of the Texas Boudreau Brotherhood penned by Kathy Ivan. In this one, readers witness the romantic journey of Destiny Smith and Dane Boudreau. Readers met these two in several of the other books in this series as secondary characters. It was nice to see them move up into the spotlight with their own book. Destiny is a computer hacker who works for Ridge and Shiloh, two other Boudreau brothers. Dane is the foreman of the family ranch. Like his other brothers, Dane was in the foster care system, was placed with the Boudreaus, and was adopted by them. Destiny made herself the self-appointed guardian angel of the Boudreaus. In free time she trolls the internet and the dark web watching for any possible threats. On the dark web, she finds a contract out on Dane. Her feeling for Dane propels her to work with him on identifying the threat. Why is there a threat on Dane’s life? Who is it from his past that pursues him? Will Destiny and Dane find out? What becomes of the feelings they have for each other? You must read this book to find out.
Again, Ms. Ivan outdoes herself in this romantic suspense plot. I enjoy her skill in creating complex characters. Readers witness their dreams, strengths, and vulnerabilities. She allows readers to journey along with her characters as they work out their fears and challenges from their past lives. I am fascinated how Ms. Ivan includes different brothers into her plot. Doing so allows readers to get to better know each of the Boudreau brothers, their significant others, and appreciate this tight knit, open, and supportive family. Nicely done, Ms. Ivan.

Dane has been keeping a secret from his close-knit Boudreau family. Everyone thought he didn’t remember his birth family, but he did. And now he’s in the position to finally track down the people who murdered his parents, but he’s doing it alone. That is until Destiny, who works for his brother Shiloh, discovered a bounty had been placed on his head. Now the pair have to race to find out the truth before it’s too late.
The characters and the story are well-written, and the action will keep readers engaged and entertained from beginning to end. As usual, the Boudreau family rallies around their own, even when he doesn’t want help. I always enjoy seeing how tight-knit they are.
The ending sets up the story of the next Boudreau brother, Liam, which sounds intriguing. I’m also left hoping that Brian, a man who once stayed with the Boudreau’s, gets his own book and that, even though he’s an adult now, he finds his way into becoming a part of the Boudreau family. It’s clear he regrets leaving the house when he had a chance to be adopted; it’s also obvious that he deeply cares about all the Boudreau’s.
If you’re looking for a good action-packed story, you should give Dane a read. While it’s the tenth book in the Texas Boudreau Brotherhood, it can be read as a standalone.

25 years of secrets and lies
Dane may have been hiding what he knows for 25 years, but he doesn't know everything, so he is digging for the truth hoping he can uncover it faster than he can be found. We like Dane, he is one of the quieter brothers, but whilst he is searching for the truth from his childhood he his lying to himself and to Destiny. The truth always bubbles to the top eventually, but which truth will be uncovered first and will it be in time to save them all? Or will Destiny's heart be the casualty?
I love the Boudreau's, they welcome you with open arms and have your back no matter what. I like that we are also gaining some of the lost boys back and look forward to many more books in the series

Overall Amanda rating: A+
First of all, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. I do believe that is book was my favorite out of the series.
Dane: almost invisible in the previous books, he was mentioned, you knew he existed, but you didn't really see any character depth. This book made me nearly fall in love with the man. Can you imagine marrying a man after knowing him more than name only for like a week?
Destiny: I really liked this girl. She is really awesome. Smart, savvy, edgy, nothing country about her at all.
Can the computer hacker who rides a motorcycle and the rancher in cowboy boots have a happily ever after while running from the people that are trying to kill them? Read the book. I 10/10 recommend.

Past!
Dane: He was raise by wonderful people. He wanted to know the truth about what happened his biological parents. He didn't wanted to drag his past into the present. He wanted justice for them. It was a great addition to the series and was a very emotional story! Dane found the one think he was missing and was a women to love and who loved him. I really enjoyed his story!

Destiny is a fascinating character and I've wanted to know more about her. With her computer skills she jumps in to help Dane when she learns he is in danger and the adventure, fun and suspense begin! A little romance Of, too. Of course the whole Boudreau family won't be left out when one of mama's sons needs help so readers get to catch up with some of the other brothers also. Always an exciting visit to Shiloh Springs and I'm now looking forward to Liam's story!

Intriguing story! There is suspense, mystery, attractions and love. Amazing story line and great characters make this a wonderful addition to the series. Strong family bonds make any obstacle easier to overcome. Loved this book, do not miss out.

Yay for Dane
It was so good to be back in Shiloh Springs again. I'm loving that Dane found his little sprite. They are made for one another, both a little crazy and intense. Can't wait to see what Brian and Liam are getting into!

I truly love the the way Kathy Ivan writes these stories , though the premise is the same, hello it is romance, each story brings something new to light and more for you to love about this family.

This series gets better with each book. Author Kathy Ivan has created a wonderful, believable community and cast of family and friends. A reminder thar we are only human and everyone has a past, present, and future.
