In a city where magic is outlawed, teenage thief Ridley uses her special powers to steal from the rich and give to those in need—until the night someone follows her home after a heist and ends up murdered outside her apartment.

When her best friend is accused of the crime, Ridley is determined to prove his innocence.

But things get messy when the artifact Ridley stole turns out to contain secrets that could endanger many lives. Forced to team up with wealthy Archer—the guy she stole from—Ridley must hunt down the artifact before it winds up in deadly hands.

I liked some things about this book, but it was too YA romance-y for me.

First book was pretty good - set the stage nicely with decent world building and likeable characters.

Second book was definitely the worst. Too much dreaming about the guy, and I definitely don’t want to read about their tongues. Yuck, yuck, yuck!

Third was also pretty good - a lot of action. Didn’t love the epilogue - Lilah was super annoying and what’s with the underage drinking? They’re 17!

I like how the magic was given a personality of its own. Unique, and it worked for me!

Easy reading. I kind of felt like the moment I started reading, I also finished it because before I knew it, I was onto the next book. They were incredibly enjoyable for me.
Loads of action which was fantastic and some good twists that kept me on my toes!

overall good and captivating

The only part I cringed at was some stupid decisions made, but they were made by teenagers, so I guess that’s acceptable. Overall good pace and interesting world building.

Great books! Especially if you are into the world of magic. 😄
Also, they are easy to read. Not too advanced in the language, which is a bonus if you choose to read the entire series in a week as I ended up doing 🙈😉
