My favorite book from this series!!!!!! What a fabulous book this was! Zaq was my favorite brother from the beginning. All the dark angel brothers had that certain something but Zaq stood out for me from the start. He is the quiet one always observing those around him but when he lets his guard down after being away in Syria working on a relief mission its the opening that the reaper has been waiting for! Ridley is the top assassin for slayers International and her assignment is to help capture Zaq Kral this should be no problem for her, he's just another monster to her even if he has the face of a angel. But right away Ridley relizes something's wrong and that theirs more going on. And the more she sees and learns somethings just not adding up. This isn't what she signed up for. She has no problem putting down evil blood thirsty vamps after what they did to her mother, and she hates them all ! So why does she feel such a pull to this son of one of the most powerful syndicate vampires and why does he have to smell so fucking good. The chemistry was awesome and the whole enemies to lovers theme kept in nice and spicy! Zaq is enraged and on the prowl wanting to get his revenge for being not only held captive and feed from by those holding him but if his father is guilty of trying to kill him and his brothers their will be hell to pay! Because he won't stop til his brothers are safe. Ridley is not only dealing with fighting her attraction for Zaq but she also finds out who her vampire father is! And together they set out to find out who tortured and killed her mother. Their is betrayal, pain, passion and love and some hot steamy sex scenes!!! Zaquiel Kral is deliciously dominant and very take charge in the bedroom and Ridley is a very lucky girl ! He's hot and fangy! Just like I like them! And at the end of this book Rebecca had a surprise!!! Theirs another book coming out in this series and it will be Brien& Twilight's book!!! I had a feeling both Brien and Twilight would be in future books because of the attention the writer put on their characters. Brien is a charming charismatic vampire and a friend to Zoe and I loved him! And Twilight another slayer and Ridley's best friend is smart,tough and very ballsy! I think their book will be awesome too! Rebecca Rivard is a very talented writer and every book I've ever read by her has been fabulous! And her vampire books are my favorite! If you love great vampire romances with lots of steamy sex, check her books out! Until next time Luv's💕💋

Has there ever been one word that served so well as both title and summary for a book, as “Taken” by Rebecca Rivard?
Zaquiel Kral has been kidnapped and tortured by his father’s Vampire Syndicate enemies. During his captivity, he is brainwashed to distrust his family, using his own independence and isolation against him. Ridley Crawford is the slayer who assisted in Zaq’s capture, and unwittingly contributed to his torture, believing that the Krals were absolute monsters bent on seizing power and destroying Slayers, Inc. Now she is having doubts about the righteousness of her mission and the motives of her superiors.
When Zaq is “released” by his captors and sent on an impossible mission under duress, Ridley (aka “Reaper”) is ordered to accompany him to make sure he completes it. Their forced proximity sees these two sultry enemies become sizzling lovers. Both being dhampirs, and not fitting well into either the human or vampire worlds, gives them a lot of common ground, but it’s unfortunate that they met under such cruel circumstances that trust is impaired from the outset. Nevertheless the attraction, the charm, the desire is there, percolating through all the threats, the danger, and the paranoia.
Zaq and Ridley smoulder like a joss stick on a pile of Benjamins! They are a dangerous and exciting couple. There was a bit of stalled time where they were hiding here and there waiting for things to happen. And, one of the things I had to wait for was for one of them to realize they were mates. But, believe me, once that happened things escalated pretty quickly! Due to the fact that this third book ran on a parallel timeline to Books One and Two, there were fewer surprises, but more connection. I’ve been very Taken by the Dark Angel allure of Gabriel, Zaquel, and Rafael. The Epilogue(s) provide a most satisfying, and enticing, conclusion!

“TAKEN” is the 3rd amazing vamp-a-licious, page-turner from the new series, “A Vampire’s Syndicate” world! ... I loved this fresh, new storyline, with unique characters, not just vamps, but with creatures that are half-human & half-vampire! ... Clever dialogue, well-defined characters, like Ridley, a strong, smart, bad-ass heroine & a sexier-than-sin billionaire, whose chemistry is off the charts giving us some steamy romance, too!... Of course there’s a vampire syndicate, and then a vampire slayer organization, which provides an edge-of-your-seat must read suspense story! This fast-paced rollercoaster ride had me glued to my seat not wanting to stop! ... Even tho I volunteered to read this author’s book, these are my own feelings, without any outside influences. So yes I can honestly recommend this to all adult fans of fiction & especially those who love Paranormal and Fantasy! ... I can’t wait for the next one, but I absolutely will ;)

Betrayal, loss, and secrets is how Zaq is living his life. There’s someone out to get him and his family. He has to figure out what is truth and who he can trust. I felt like I traveled the world along side the characters. Lots of action to keep me on my toes! Nothing is what it seems and I was there for it. I wasn’t too sure about Ridley but by the end I was all for her. Speaking of endings, all I have to say is wow.
Phenomenal storytelling and wonderful writing makes this book one fantastic read. This whole series is a MUST READ! If you like your vampires with a bite, these books are for you! I give this 5 stars.

Rivard never fails to keep a reader's attention. Her novels are always fresh and the characters always have such well defined personalities that it is hard to put them down. I must admit to a few mornings of "book hangover" while reading this because I could not put it down.
In "Taken", the vampire slayer named Reaper, was assigned to take out one of the Karoly brothers, a prince in an important vampire syndicate. Reaper is very good at her job and this very hot and handsome prince must go . . . But is there more to the story?

This review is a thank you to Rebecca Richard for writing this wonderful triology!! I loved it ever so much!! I read all three books back to back! I didn't want to stop reading for any thing. I was on the last of this book when my husband got mad at me for reading too much! So I waited until he went to bed and I finished the last 15%! Now I can highly recommend this series and anything else that write!!

A great ending to the Vampire Syndicate series! Zaq and Ridley’s story was so different than the other brothers’ love stories. Falling in love with a Vampire Slayer is certainly unusual but their journey was amazing. The epilogue opens the story up to a spin off that I truly hope happens! But I will certainly miss the Kral family.

A fantastic continuation of this superb vampire series. The final book in the Dark Angels trilogy, but not the final book in the series.
Definitely read in order to get the most enjoyment. Begin with the prologue Tempted.

This was a great ending to this trilogy. This story had lots of action, mystery and romance. The romance had a slow burn at first but then exploaded in the end. Zaq & Reapers love grew through being on the run and figuring out the mystery of who wanted them dead. The sex was steamy and the action was packed. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend the trilogy to anyone who loves sexy hot Vamipires....these 3 brothers were just that. The ending with Twilight was an awesome added bonus :)

A wonderful ending to this excellent series! Or, is it really the end? The second epilogue leaves it a bit open for the series to continue on. What a treat that would be! I truly loved this series and Taken, Book 3, was another one of my favorite reads. The whole half-human, half-vampire thing, aka Dhampir, really grabs the imagination. This is Zaq and Ridley's story. He's a Dhampir Prince and she's a Slayer who while working for Slayers, Inc. gets the assignment to kidnap him. Turns out there's lots more to each of their stories than we know at first. The action is fast and furious, the steaminess rolls off the pages, and the twists and turns abound as their story unfolds. I really enjoyed the evolution of these characters as they struggled through the bad times and ultimately grew to trust and rely on each other. Their love story evolved slowly and became more compelling as the story built to an exciting conclusion. I LOVED it. I'd recommend you start with Book 1, Pursued, but the great thing about this series is that you can read one or all three of these books and not feel like you've missed anything. The writing is great, pulls you in, and carries you right along so you feel like you're there, hovering on the edge of your seat, observing all the action. It's a captivating, satisfying read. Grab it today!

Enjoyed all the brothers books.
I enjoyed reading all three of the brothers books. They went through a lot to try and protect each other. They were pitted against each other and their father. At times I just wanted to yell at them to get in touch with each other and get to the bottom. I think Zaq went through the worst of it though. Glad this vampire family grew and got a happy ending.

Great book!
Revenge, jealousy, hate & love. All the elements are here. Reaper and Zaq shouldn’t be attracted, but when is love rational? There are forces set against them, meaning to harm them. All the players are not known which makes fir a difficult time and almost insurmountable odds.

Totally EXCELLENT 😁
I've truly fallen in Love with this series and more is going on 😃. At the end of this story all the characters get what they want, which usually doesn't happen 😉. But luckily, we have another adventure with a friend of Reaper 😄. Thanks e Rebecca, you're a fantastic writer and I can't wait to read more 🤓.

Zaq and Reapers story start with him taken prisoner and Reaper being involved as a Slayer. Despite being a slayer, Reaper cares about Zaq and when they make it out of Zaq’s imprisonment their love story starts. Ridley/Reaper was a great FMC, written strong and loyal to her morality over what’s expected of her as a slayer.

My favorite by far of the series! The chemistry and pairing was so good! I mean a vampire and a vampire slayer is my catnip since my parents Buffy & Angel started the iconic trope!
