Shaun and the Uprising have somehow managed to delay the inevitable, but the day of a titanic battle is on the horizon.
The Apochros do not believe they are strong enough to resist the combined might of the Fystr and Galactic Empires, so the Uprising must leave the relative safety that they've found to recruit more willing souls. Maybe even cause some chaos along the way, in true Vakuna fashion. Every little helps after all.
Makes as much sense as " twice burnt frozen cookie dough"
Honestly it's an interesting concept but really, the main character is an absolute moron with a horrible sense of self and there is Ember with her own issues of insecurities as she is hostile verbally.
The need to cuss is not called for the F this or that or the a hole stuff. His vocabulary and mental age are closer to 16 as he constantly acts like a man child. Ember is no better being so insecure when she isn't the best and wines like a spoiled child.
The whole focus on intelligence vs wisdom is skewed in this series. Here is a quote :
“Yes, me. Think about it. Having low Wisdom has allowed me to follow my instincts.
No.. It should be intelligence because wisdom says in spite of what my brain says I will listen. To me if his wisdom was higher he would listen and trust his intuition more.
“This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”
I am not going to share my reasoning, thoughts on the book, or any opinions that would influence your decision to read it. I am simply saying that I liked it. I would like you to read it and make your own decision. After all, you are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here.
I will happily discuss the book with you on Goodreads if you are so inclined. As always, I am open to debates and arguments, but also vain enough to seek acknowledgement, so feel free to roast me or applaud my efforts. Either is acceptable, because if you are paying attention to me then you are at least considering the book. And THAT my friends is exactly why you see my comments here.
Condition Evolution 5 takes readers on a thrilling and humorous journey as Shaun and the Uprising brace themselves for an epic showdown. The book expertly combines science fiction, action, and adventure with well-timed humor, creating an engaging and entertaining narrative. Alongside the intense battles and intricate world-building, the clever wit and comedic moments add a delightful charm to the story. Existing fans will be enthralled by the Uprising's latest escapades, while newcomers will be captivated by the series' seamless blend of excitement and laughter.
Shaun has a lot of growing done in this book. We also get some light shed on his "wisdom" issue which makes sense looking back. We can see a mini army forming and it is not all about Shaun and Ember anymore. Great action, but a horrible stop at the end of the book. I must now locate and read book 6 immediately.
Oh I hate and love a book that ramps up the tension until the very least moment then holds you on the edge of sweet release until the next book comes. Well played.
This is a even bigger blast of action, surprises and of course the continuous adventures of our chosen saviour. This one without any spoilers is definitely a major dozy and marks a major turning point bit makes the series so much better.
The plot seems really forced, the author has clearly given into the common failure where everything starts going badly for the main characters. It’s basically just nonstop failure and misery.
I am really disappointed in the direction the author took with this at the end. It seems he felt the story was to happy good lucky so far so there is a need for dark ending. I have no idea why he changed the tune of that character so fast even as logical as it seems it doesn't feel like it has any sense to it.
