Happy ending

Another twist of the fates regarding Cassandra’s mom. I’m super curious what that story will be. And good news for Syssi as well. After finding out about their butlers sentience, they needed some good news! Here’s to hoping Eleanor is not Emmetts mate after all, the vampire immortal. I’m kind of rooting for Leon, the guardian. I love how these books come out every month.

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 52nd book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having  the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.

This is the final book for Onegus and Cassandra’s story. I love how their story ihas gone but I think we will see more of them in the next series. This book had a few big events & surprises that I never expected. This series is going to continue to get interesting with these developments. I definitely can’t wait for the next book!

We are moving along nicely!

Shocking revelation about Cassandra and her mother. The pace was slow in this one as the last with Cassy and Onegus. Lost of procrastination, once again.

Kian got a birthday present from an unsuspected family member and it caused mild manic for more reasons than one. Syssi got a couple of surprises at Kian’s birthday party, both can be attributed to Kian. 😉

Margaret and Bowen are moving along happily. She’s gained more confidence so thank goodness for that and no more lengthy inner monologues of self loathing.🙄🙄

Roni may have found his grandmother at long last… but I find it odd that no one seemed to have told Turner, since he was actively still trying to locate her in the background. I suspect that they haven’t found her, but maybe got closer to? It was suggested to talk to Eva and use her detective skills in light of possible new information, but I felt that speaking with Turner should be the logical first step. After all, he started the first search and could have obtained information that didn’t seem relevant at the time, but that together with the new information may possibly lead to more clues?🤷🏽‍♀️

Onegus’ mother is a piece of work. Still waiting for her redemption arc to see why she’s like that.

Eleanor is still an idiot. I don’t know whether she’s playing herself or just desperate to be loved, but it could be both. Emmett seems to be using a charismatic power he doesn’t seem to realize he has and still has plans to escape the plan, using Eleanor as his pawn and trying to win Jin and Mey over to his side. But maybe the Fates have other plans for him and want to give him a true love mate.🤷🏽‍♀️

See my notes and highlights on Goodreads. Happy Reading!

So much going on here. Bowen and Margaret are really good together. Let's just hope that she has an easy transition. It's nice that Wendy was able to forgive her and they can now form a mother/daughter relationship.
Eleanor and Emmette are both complicated. Neither has been in love and it seems they are both using each other in some way. Eleanor is attracted to him and wants a mate so she is hoping for Emmette to be her mate. I really hope he isn't. Emmette is obviously using Eleanor in hopes that she will side with him and help him and reveal Clan secrets, etc. There is something fishy about him and I do not trust him at all.
Cassandra and Onegus are another good couple. We get more details about Geraldine. What really happened to her? Is she faking her amnesia? Can't wait to read her story.
We still don't know if Cassandra will transition or when, but it does seem that she is Onegus' true love mate.
Usually Dormants have transitioned prior to the end of their story. Unfortunately, I feel this one ended abruptly because there was no transitioning for Cassandra. Hopefully that will occur in the next series.
The Odus are changing. Okidu took Kian by surprise. I knew there was a change since his drowning. But things seem to be suspicious due to Okidu's behavior now. What is he capable of? If he is sentient, what would that mean? Could the Odus become dangerous to the Clan?
I don't think Kalugal should be involved in anything that has to do with the Odus. The Odus belong to Annani and her family and Kalugal has his own secrets.
Looking forward to the next installment.

I Kinda Figured it Out...

This series kind of reads like a soap opera. You more how shows like General Hospital and The Young and The Restless will have 3...4...6 different unrelated storylines going on at the same time? That's this series, especially the more recent books.

In this installment we have: Eleanor & Emmett (does he have feelings for her? is he using her? can he learn to love?); Bowen & Margaret (will she start to transition, and if so, will she do so safely?); Kian & Syssi (will his birthday celebration go off without a hitch? will Syssi FINALLY have this baby [y'all know soap opera pregnancies last forever]?); Onegus & Cassandra (will she start to transition? what's going on with her mother, Geraldine?); and finally, the Odus (I knew something was going in with Okidu ever since he "drowned" and rebooted!).

It's a lot easier to watch a soap opera than to read one.

Things seem to be moving forward, but it's slow going. Geraldine's story seems like it will be interesting. I just wonder how long it will take to get all of it.

I love this series, and I love that I don't have to wait long for the next book. That said, this is the third book to have the redundant phrase "under lowered lashes" or "beneath lowered lashes". I don't mean once it twice, I'm talking 8-10 times per book. I'm currently on book #53 and less than a quarter of the way in, it's already been used again. It's great that the author is broadening her vocabulary for the books, and I fully support growth, but the overuse is driving me crazy. This isn't the first time she's done it either. "Double entendre" was used at least six times in a single book. Again, I love these books and the characters she has created, but please, use a phrase like that once, maybe twice and then move on. Otherwise, I'm loving the series and really glad I have Kindle unlimited because each book is short and each 3 could have been converged into a single novel, but I love how fast they are published so no complaints there. Hope everyone else enjoys them as well!

Dark Power Convergence (The Children of the Gods Paranormal Romance Book 52)-I.T. Lucas

It is truly amazing how all the storylines are weaving together and still expanding with each new installment of the series. This book 52 wraps up Onegus and Cassandra’s mating and continues to explore the mystery behind Cassandra’s mother , Geraldine.
Emmett and Eleanor continue to form a relationship but it seems clear she will not be his mate (seems it will be Peter is my guess) and it will be interesting to see where his storyline goes. Can he even get a mate with his “species” of immortal.
The exciting and intriguing mystery of the Odu’s progresses and most wonderful is the arrival of session and Kian’s baby girl.
Wonderful characters that continue to play integral parts in their individual and the overall storyline. Love this series!

Dark Power Convergence is book 52 in the Children of the Gods series and the final book in the Dark Power trilogy. It is Onegus and Cassandra's story.

Wow…this book is packed with so many turns that it is hard to tell where to go or where to start. Cass is a found to be a Dormant without even trying to through induction. Ronja is sad for a bit when she finds that Bowen and Margaret are couple, but it’s a party anything can happen. Kian gets a surprise birthday present that will have his head spinning for a while. There is so much more in this book… but the 3 teasers I gave is more than enough to give it 5 stars and make it a must read. There isn't a scale high enough if you love this series for this book.

Dark Power Convergence KU 270 pgs **** 9/8/21 Onegus & Cassandra

4 stars. Secrets come out, humans come to the village for the first time. It seems everything is changing but I’m not sure it’s all for the good. Onegus and Cassandra have taken 3 books to get together and still she is uncertain about becoming immortal, she can never leave her mother since she is a bit forgetful and shouldn’t live alone. Annani is still at the village but not much is written about her in this book which disappoints me. Wedding and Kian’s b-day party were good, Kian’s Odus gave him a special gift for his bday. The book flow was easy, most of the book was good, interesting, exciting with only a few boring pages. Transitions coming, babies coming, can’t wait to read what happens next to our clan.

Need better stopping points - Spoiler Alert

Ok I really love this series. I have bee reading it from the beginning and loved that is was basically three books per story. I understand there are more stories fo weave together but the stopping points now just seem illogical. They do not close a loop. This is Onegas’s story how can we close before the transition? Not that it will go untold in the next installment but really as one of those who finished early and then waited for each book please consider us loyal and that it is the continuation of the story and not the highest clif of the clif-hanger that keeps us coming back.

What an “ending” to Cassy and Onegus’ three books! As with all thing CoTG, this is really no ending, just the introduction to more storylines! I cannot believe that I am just as hooked after book 52 as I was when I first started reading this Saga! I. T. Lucas has a wonderful world created and it is so interesting that I cannot wait to see where it leads, but I also don’t want to miss the journey in between. Can’t wait to see how things progress with Cassy’s mom/Roni’s grandma in the next set of books!!

Beyond Perfect!!

We have all seen Formulaic Paranormal serial romance stories, this series is not one of those. Yes, each character is finding their fated mate & the fated one is transitioning. That is where The predictability begins and ends. Each new member is 100% unique. How each person meets there Fated 1Create an individual in different love story Then previous. Best of all each exciting story Never Has Someone being alpha possesive to the point of cruelty 2 a supposed love 1. Cannot wait for the next book.

Love, love, love this series!!!

The characters in this series are so well written that you feel like you know them intimately. The only complaint that I can come up with is not enjoying the two months between each release date!!! When I found this series it was as a box set. I binge read all of those books even reading instead of going to bed like I should have. Now I am caught up & the next book is not due until September 25. I feel quite sure I will go through withdrawals by then!

I’m dying here! This book had so much going on and loved every page until it ended, when it ended I was like what is happening next? In my opinion I. T. Lucas can keep the series going forever I will always stop what ever book I’m reading to start one of her books, she is that good! I’m trying to get my daughters to read here books, but school come first (all of them are in college and taking summer classes) but I will have them loving her books like I do! I hate having to have to wait. HINT, HINT!

Love is in the air,

This book was so heartfelt. I kept mind wondering over my own memories, so, I had to keep rereading passages. Beautifully written. As with each couple, I’m completely invested in Onegus and Cassandra, Margaret and Bowen and as always Syssi and Kian. Dark Power Convergence is chalked full of excitement, one thing after the other. Be careful this book could ware you out! Lol
Happy reading!! It’s a fantastic book!! Loved the tender moments even I misted up remembering my own children’s birth.

Interesting

Moving along slowly but will there actually be a complete ending in this series. The series just keeps hinting at different added plots . But so far except for people mating nothing else has been completed . I'm not sure how many more books in the series for it to be completed and yes even though by book number 52 or 53 I've lost count . it still has a few interesting things to read about . I think just one more and I'm done .I prefer books that actually has a final ending without reading a hundred to complete .

'Dark Power Convergence' delves further into Cassandra's telekinetic ability, her mother's secrets, and her relationship with Onegus. It also talks more about Emmett's people and preparing for a mission to China. Lastly, the clan will celebrate Kian's bimillennial birthday, which I have waited many books for.

In such a lot series, there are too many inconsistencies. Pages numbers are version and source defendant. This time, Kian said that Syssi is due in less than two weeks (p 200). Then, later, he corrects her father by saying two and a half (p 291).

WOW!

Glad Margaret and Bowen finally hooked up. Anyway this book had many surprises that kept me saying, WOW! (1) Cassandra and Geraldine are related to Roni. Geraldine's past is still a mystery. (2) Okidu's Birthday present to Kian was a major surprise. The present could be considered good, maybe depending on the future. (3) Syssi finally has her baby! These three events kicked the story up a notch. Well done, I.T. ♡

No words

I have loved this series from the beginning. I can't even begin to describe it more than I already have.
If you haven't read the series you need to. I promise you will not be disappointed.
The only thing I always say and hope for is this, I really do hope the Ananni will find Khiann. I think the fates should smile upon her and bring them back together. If Wonder could have survived and found, why not him.

Another great read

This latest entry in the Children of the Gods series does not disappoint. I couldn’t put it down. Not only is it another thrilling love story, there are also revelations of some entirely unexpected relationships. If you like this author, this is yet another entry in a wonderful series. If you haven’t yet read this author, I highly recommend starting this thrilling series as soon as possible

Considered giving 3 stars

I have really enjoyed this series for the most part. This book embarked on a possible story line that I'm not looking forward to. Up until now Kian has been very vigilant with keeping their secrets, but all of a sudden he's become complacent. Very unlike his character. Annanni is supposed to be a great and knowledgeable goddess and yet she is terrible at judging peoples character and motives. Just not very believable.

I'm so shocked. My mind is racing 100 miles a minute trying to process all of the new information it just received. I am so excited! This book has revamped the series. It has been amazing and all but it slowed down but with this book, it shocked everything back to life. Absolutely loved this!

. . . . HOW LUCKY I AM!!

I did not realize how LUCKY I AM to have started reading Book 1 of this series and where that stoke of good luck would lead. It has lead to the best of all possible reading experiences. What a wonderful world Ms Lucas has created. So it’s no surprise that I’ve already preordered Book 53!

All good things

This book is filled with so much good news! Some surprising events that were hinted at for some time. Because of some of the events that happens towards the end of this story, this book has become my favorite. The author has a talent for keeping you wanting more of this world. I cannot wait to read more of what's to come.

I always remind people to start at the beginning book #1. Every book keeps building on the last one. I just love this series. I start reading and I don't want to put it down, then it's done and I can't wait for the next one. That is what is so great about her story telling. She has a new book about once a month so you don't need to wait long. Start the series you won't be sorry:-)

Each and every book of The Children Of The Gods series has been a 'must read' book, and this one is no different.
I loved it! Reading about Kian finally meeting his beloved daughter brought a tear to my eye. I can't wait for the next installment of this amazing series.

Love it

I have been reading all the books and can't wait to read more.
Cassandra and Onegeus are perfect for each other. I am surprised that no one has even suggested that Cassandra's mothers memory problems are from thralling seeing as every one believes that she is immortal. Will be reading the next book.
