I wanted a nice suspense/romance to read on a lazy rainy day, but this was just plain BORING & STUPID! 🥵

If you are expecting any kind of "suspense" or "romance", do yourself a favor and skip it and don't waste your hour like I did. Lol.

Basically this is a story of a guy who returns to his hometown to take care of his dying aunt and on the way to her house he gets arrested because he tried to help an old lady on the run. Then we have a mini short (5 ft) Latina lawyer (heroine) who helps him get out of jail and BANG (literally) they go from "Howdy do you" to "Let's fuck" - and yep, that's what they did. 🤯🤮

Porn sex scenes follow in the next few pages and afterwards they decide to "investigate" what is happening to all these women who are disappearing. But we know from chapter one who the villains are (sheriff & his uncle 🥱) so bye bye suspense and hello DNF dump pile.

Next page they get captured (right before we have yet another sex porn scene mind you), killing of the bad dudes follow and voila! HEA and ILY. 🙀

Now keep in mind all this happens I think within 3-4 days of meeting each other & I would be remiss if I don't also include the lovely scene in which our so-called "Hero" fondly reminisces about his GF who was his first "everything" while on a date with heroine. 😂🤣 LOL.

The second book in the series brings Jason and Carla's story. The author brings strong characters with a hot chemistry and weaves an action packed ,mysterious and intriguing read. She paints her scenes in vivid detail and delivers a fantastic story. Loved and recommend this book.

Mysterious Happenings . . .

Something's not right in the town of Woodvale. As former Ranger Jason Hunter drove home to be with his dying aunt, a white-haired woman stumbled out of the forest and onto the road, right into his path. It looked like a bunch of rags on the road as he hurried to her. She whimpered for him to help her, and he carried her to the back seat of his rental car to take her to the hospital. She kept saying she heard the dogs. All he got was her first name “Julia”, but the 911 dispatcher asked in surprise if it was Julia Bulridge. A man’s voice came on the line, and when he hung up and turned to Julia, she was gone. He went to the Sheriff’s office and told him everything that had happened. Then he went to Aunt Rose’s neighbor since his aunts’ house was dark. After they insisted on giving him dinner, he asked about Julia Bulridge and was told she was the sixth person to go missing from Woodvale in five months!

When the Sheriff wants to arrest Jason for Julia’s murder after they find her dead body in his aunt’s back garden, Jason hires Carla Ramirez, a lawyer who knows things are not right in the town, and the two look for clues about what really happened. The town is hiding many dark secrets. Will they be able to find the murderer to clear Jason and find out what is going in the town?

Quite often in a series the first book is brilliant and then it just peters out that isn't the case this book like its predecessor is a roller coaster ride of danger and intrigue that has you glued to it from start to finish

The suspense in this series builds as a small town secrets play out with ex-Ranger Jason Hunter returning to farewell his dying aunt Soon he and Carla Ramirez the lawyer he employs to represent him find that there are a lot of dark secrets in the town. Can they solve and what about the relationship brewing between them can they have a future You will have to read to see and I guarantee that you may be reading late into the night

It was the perfect blend of high powered action and swoon worthy romance that I love in my suspense romances!!

The Rescue Rangers series has quickly become one of my favorite series by Caitlyn Lynch. I’ve enjoyed all of her books but there’s just something about this series that really draws me in. Whatever it is, each story is better than the one before and I’m down the rabbit hole until the end. It was the perfect blend of high powered action and swoon worthy romance that I love in my suspense romances. Loved it. Looking forward to reading more books by this amazing author. I've read several books written by Caitlyn Lynch; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the second book in the Rescue Rangers Series; it is a stand-alone book. Ex-Ranger Jason comes back to his hometown to care for his sick aunt; a young woman crosses the street in front of his car and then disappears; the next day the cops show up to arrest him for murder. Knowing he didn’t do it he hires attorney Carla Ramirez to defend him. She knows something’s not right in this town and works to find out what happened and clear his name.

This is the 2nd book in The Rescue Rangers series written by the very talented author Caitlyn Lynch. This is Jason Hunter (former ranger) and Carla Ramirez (lawyer) story. These two need to unravel the mystery and intrigues that are rampant in the town. But also to be aware of the danger that seems to be around every corner. This is a very intriguing and entertaining read and one that I couldn’t put down. Will they solve this mystery??

I must say this series is great. Ranger's Homecoming is the perfect follow up. Jason and Carla have amazing chemistry. I love not only their romantic chemistry but just how the interact with each other while trying to solve the mystery.

The plot is solid and kept me turning the pages. With the suspense and romance the story also is loaded with action. Yes these stories are s€xy, but the story telling is outstanding and engaging. Highly recommend Ranger's Homecoming.

Jason returns back to town to bid a sad farewell to his dying aunt when he almost hits a woman who runs out in front of him. She disappears and he is accused of killing her. With the help of a sexy lawyer they work to unravel the mystery and get to the bottom of the disappearance. Will they be able to find the answers before something happens to them? Thisnis a fast paced mystery with some romance thrown in.

Jason is coming home to help his aunt, but on the way he spots a girl and later is arrested for her murder. What did he just walk into? Carla is a lawyer and has seen a lot of issues around town. The storyline is full of a lot of weird situations and suspense as a killer is loose. When things start to come together and people are taken into account, the world revolves just a bit easier. The romance smooths out the action and is full of surprises. Loved the ending.

Carla is an attorney and they work together to find out what's going on in town with all the mysterious things going on in town. This is an action packed, murder mystery with a unique storyline, suspense, secrets, romance, and interesting characters that made this a great read. When an ex-Ranger comes home to care for his dying aunt, he inadvertently exposes a horrifying element in the small town he grew up in. He also finds a sweet little lawyer to distract him.

This is full of action, romance, and a bit of horror. It is a very nice example of an author telling a story without tons of angst that many books feature these days. I recommend this whole-heartedly

Jason is an ex Ranger who ie returning one to say good bye to his ailing aunt. On his way into town he sees a woman cross in front of his car and them she’s gone. The next days they want to arrest him for her murder! He’s got to find out what’s going on. Carla is a lawyer and she knows that things are wrong in town and Indus up with Jason as they try to find answers of what going in in this town!

This was a great book and I can not wait to read more form this author and series. Jason comes home to be with his aunt in her final days, however he is not in town a day before he is arrested for murder. Takes to the quirk thinking of Cara he gets out of jail. The problem of what happened is still very much in question. As they work together to get answers can they stay safe?

This was my first read from this author. While I am not the biggest fan of the third person point of view because it makes the story impersonal in my opinion-sorry, deal breaker, this was an enjoyable read. I really liked both characters, Carla and Jason. Chemistry between them was believable. I will read more from this author in the future.

Good story and writing..but

This story was great and writing very good. So the rating isn't regarding the author but every 5 or 6 pages a page was missing. Since it is a Kindle read I don't know how to notify them and I wanted to warn readers of the issue...really disappointing cause I felt I missed some good dialog due to the missing pages

Ranger's Homecoming is the second book in Caitlyn Lynch’s The Rescue Rangers where mystery and intrigue are rampant and danger is around every corner. What a story! It hooks you from the beginning!

Oh my, retired Ranger driving into town to see his aunt an thin ,screaming woman falls on the road, screaming help me.he calls for help she vanishes. He’s arrested , meets the lawyer, small but in charge,pretty. Excitement & romance .

This second book in the series was much better than the first book. Jason and Carla were working as a team trying to find a number of missing people. Action, suspense and a little steam. Believable characters made this better than book one.
