"Mom I'm losing it... my voice! What is happening?" Imagine one day being fine to the next day being fully paralyzed without knowing why. Yells of a Quiet Young Man was written to share the author’s crazy unexpected detour and the unique thoughts on life. As a church youth group leader with 10 + years of experience. Kapen grew a big heart for today's teens and young adults seeing their lost unguided direction for their futures. He wanted this book to act as a resource to help teens and young adults think critically about their faith, their choices, and their future. Providing devotions to help grow in faith, getting guidance for life, and seeing God's immeasurable love for them. Kapen has used his life experience to give an easy-to-read devotional mixed with the platform of his illness to hopefully relate to different people. No matter where you are at with your faith you can gain something from reading this book. It’s best to go through this book with a journal handy, for notes and reflection. It would also be a great book to read through with a close circle of friends or church small group. God is not done with Kapen’s story and God’s not done with yours either! Buy this book and find out what all this yelling is about!
It is so good to hear kapen’s voice & heart spoken through this book :)
His testimony, while not the main focus of this devotional book, is profound! & what stood out to me is that he sheds light on the internal struggles with faith, marriage & self that comes after what he went through. Things I didn’t think about!
It is an easy read for all ages!!!! ❤️
The idea of being an ebenezer to others & having ebenezer’s in your own life will stick with me!!
