Very good romantic story I loved how Natalia consistently pushes Cooper away from her recent breakup with her ex, even though she is attracted to him. However, It seems hard to Cooper to have rejection after rejection, and I had more empathy for him than for her. Their meeting, their interactions have excellent dialogues. These are all conflicting interactions, until the reality of physical or psychological wounds overtakes them and they take a more serious look at them, putting their conflicts aside. It's a very good romance
Natalia Roy thought her life was perfect: the perfect job, a boyfriend she thought she was going to marry one day. But when she walks in on her boyfriend with another girl, all of that shatters around her. Nat gets on a plane to Maui to take a break and re-examine her life, but she’s not there to meet anyone. She’s sworn off all men forever, and nobody can change that. At least, until ex Navy Seal Cooper Hamilton walks into her life. Cooper is charming, sexy, and sweet, and although he infuriates her, Nat knows he’s one of the good ones. But she can’t let herself fall again.
After an explosion that left him injured for life and cut his Navy SEAL career short, Cooper Hamilton is feeling restless. Being a SEAL was all he ever wanted, and now that that’s no longer a possibility, he’s worried that his billionaire parents are going to pressure him into taking over the family business. He’s hurting, and going through both physical and mental trauma. That’s when he crashes, quite literally, into Natalia Roy, a short and sassy ER nurse. He finds himself intrigued by her, and as he gets to know her, he falls more and more. Problem is, Natalia isn’t looking for love, although Cooper is determined to change her mind. Will these two find love? Find out in “Never Falling Again” by Mercer Scott!!!
Can I just screech about how much I loved this book?!?!? Natalia was extremely genuine and lovable. Her emotions didn’t seem forced; they were very real. And as for Cooper, can I have him? He’s handsome and funny and kind, and you can see how much he truly cares about Natalia. She’s not just a conquest to him. Their banter was absolutely hilarious, I was laughing the whole time! I enjoyed Natalia and Cooper’s romance, and the extra time with Lara and Deacon, and Veronica and Tyler, Cassie and Bridget. This series has been fun and a little quirky.
Some frustrations... Natalia was pretty bitchy to Cooper for the first month or more. Her smarminess certainly didn’t come across as flirtatious.
Natalia’s situation with the hospital seemed a bit ridiculous. I can’t imagine a major hospital would take four months to make an employment decision, never mind taking it to the hospital board. This employment situation would be dealt with through the hospital’s HR department and it would be done fairly quickly (maybe a few weeks).
I find it rather unrealistic that first Lara and now Natalia have been able to lose their jobs or at least not get paid for more than 3 months, but still be able to afford rent in one of the most expensive markets in the US. Nothing is said by either of them that they were glad they had savings to fall back on, etc.
These are exceptionally long books and we get a ton of ordinary interactions, but some of the major milestone moments are rushed or brushed over. The ending felt rushed compared to all the time the author had them spend in the Glass Balls restaurant having verbal tussles with Grant. I would have much preferred much more story around meeting Cooper’s family. It just seemed rushed and a missed opportunity.

Natalia is a nurse at a large San Francisco hospital. She's planning a vacation with her brilliant surgeon boy friend to Hawaii, where she can also spend a little time with two of her besties. A surprise visit to the hospital will turn her life up side down when she literally catches Dr. Dick with his pants down. Unfortunately she was armed with their lunch when she lost her mind, and was suspended indefinitely from her job. Cooper Hamilton, a former Navy SEAL, is recovering from injuries received on his last mission, the mission that ended his military career. Just leaving a group session at the VA hospital he is barreled into by a beautiful, petite young woman. In an effort to save her from a nasty fall he will aggravate his injuries, but finds the pain worth it when Natalia insists on examining his injury. Wonderfully well written, compelling, and I think these are pretty realistic characters that meet under unusual circumstances, but are drawn together. In Cooper's case he is instantly attracted to Natalia and quickly realizes he wants to be more than just her vacation fling. Natalia, however, after being burned by a man so recently fights her attraction to Connor. Laugh out loud funny romantic comedy with some unexpected, and hilarious twists that make it impossible to put this book down.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
so i have reviewed this from an arc copy i received
To begin with i found this quite funny not because of the fact that one of the characters was being cheated on but the way she dealt with and handled the situation at the time
I then struggled a bit to gel with the two characters and there chemistry as i wasn’t really feeling it any way so took me a while to get into but once i had got into the book i found it a nice little romance with a lovely little H.E.A
loved the way the character of cooper was so definite that he would have natalia falling for him and the things going through his head when deciding he was going to see her and no high would stop him as being albit an injured so retired navy seal he still had the mindset of exactly how to accomplish what he needed And equally loved the way natalia was kind of portrayed as this laid back door mouse as such yet seemed to become this feisty spirited lady around cooper
The other characters, natalies friends seen an interesting bunch so would be intrigued to go and read some of there story’s too overall i’d say 3.5 stars but as there is no half button and it was better than 3 i clicked 4
I am really enjoying the books in this series. The characters are strong alphas and feisty ladies.
Natalie Roy thinks she has a perfect life until she walks in on her doctor boyfriend doing another nurse in the on call lounge. She has a melt down which includes flinging Chinese food and screeching at both parties. She is put on administration leave until the hospital board has a hearing on her employment status. She runs away to her best friends in Maui.
Cooper Hamilton is a former Navy SEAL who was injured in an explosion six months ago. He is at a loss on what to do with his life, but knows he does not want to go work in the family business as his parents are requesting.
They literally bump into each other in the hospital. He pours on the charm but she is still angry at men and wants nothing to do with him. They end up being on the same committee to help with the new Veterans hospital and become friends and then more. They have a bumpy road to travel but do get their HEA.

POV: Dual (1st Person) Tropes: Wounded hero Triggers: Brief descriptions of war & injuries
Likes: Cooper! He's cocky, yet lovable and not a player. Plus I'm a sucker for a wounded hero! I also loved the back and forth banter between the two.
Dislikes: I didn't connect with Natalia as much Veronica & Lara (from previous 2 books). Slightly repetitive with Natalia's constant push-backs to Cooper.
Synopsis: I love the Falling in Maui series, on top of the super steamy romance, you have the most amazing friendship group it focuses around! Never Falling Again follows nurse Natalia, who caught her boyfriend cheating on her, and recently wounded veteran Cooper while both are on a much needed break in Maui. And sparks soon start to fly! Can Natalia lower her walls to trust someone once again with her heart? And will Cooper succumb to his wealthy family's pressure?
Natalia is living the dream being a nurse at a big hospital and in love with her brilliant surgeon boyfriend. But a surprise visit to see him will surprise both of them as she catches him cheating. Aggressively dumping their lunch on him, she ends up suspended. So she heads to Hawaii, originally their vacation destination, where she can be with her best friends. And guys are now officially off-limits!
Cooper Hamilton, an injured former Navy SEAL, is leaving the VA hospital when a woman runs into him. He is definitely attracted to her but Natalia is not willing to risk her heart again. When they end up on a committee together to make sure the new proposed VA facilities meet the physical and mental trauma needs of other veterans, working side by side gives them better insight into each other. Is it enough for them to open themselves to a relationship? Is there a HEA waiting for them as they help to heal each other?
Never say never: This was an enjoyable romance with a touch of wit and humour. Both Cooper and Natalia had been hurt and it was nice seeing them find healing and hope for the future together. Their relationship was fiery at first and it took awhile for Natalia to warm up to Cooper and the prospect of a relationship. I enjoyed seeing them work through their issues and was so pleased when they finally found a way to make things work. I thought the cat's name, Meowriah Furré, was hilarious and the fact that it was actually hairless and wore knitted sweaters was a hoot. These friends can be rather crude and immature at times and their antics may appeal more to a younger reader audience. That being said, it was still an enjoyable addition to the series. Eve is such a sweet, carrying, loyal and a hopeless romantic. Eve is tired of being single so she signs up for a dating app, stating that her main qualification is that the guy MUST love dogs, it is a deal breaker. Eve's first blind app date is not who she thinks he is. Eve never thought to see her not blind date again, however fate has other plans. Eve's a romantic at heart, Noah does not believe in romance so when they meet again thing are not so smooth. However, when they must combine forces and work together for the same goal sparks fly. The chemistry is sizzling hot they’re attraction can’t been denied soon lines blur. Noah and Eve are constantly on each other’s throat until unusual circumstances force them to work together. Eve’s world is turned upside down and Noah must decide what really matters to him. Loved the book!
If I hadn't agreed to review an ARC of this book I probably would have deleted it about half way through. Although there is nothing terrible about it there isn't anything remotely interesting either. The start wasn't too bad, the ending was rushed just when it was getting good and the middle was just slow, drawn out, repetitive and filled with lots of everyday boring stuff and continual doubts from Natalia. Cooper was an okay character but had no direction and thought he could cruise through life on someone else's dime. Natalia behaved like a spoilt teenager which didn't mesh with her age or profession.

I couldn't finish it, which is saying a lot since these are the first two characters in the series I actually like. Natalia is sweet and kind; Cooper is a charmer (why do I like the men more than the women in this series?) I was hopeful given Lara's book was the absolute worst in terms of the likeability for the FMC & MMC ( please see that review) but this one just drags on unnecessarily- there is a lot of filler that I feel could have had something more of substance. I have tried over and over to finish it, I just can't. I won't finish the series either because I fear it may just be more characters that I'm constantly rolling my eyes at.
I think maybe this authors style just isn't for me.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. The third book in the Falling in Maui series is the love story between Natalia and Cooper. She has come to Maui after an incident at the hospital where she and her ex worked. The last thing that she thinks she needs is Cooper but the sparks are there. These two have a few obstacles in their way and baggage to deal with. That makes it hard to start any relationship but he is determined to win her over. This was a good story with plenty of drama, humor, family, friends, lust and love.

Loved, loved, loved this swoony and sexy read!! Enjoyed this story so much I had to buy the other 2 books in this series to read. I loved the characters, the storyline, the drama, sexy times and romance this book delivers from start to finish. Really looking forward to reading more books by this amazing author. It really did grabbed my attention and I just got lost in the pages which has made my buy the other books in this series. Looking forward to reading them soon. Happy reading everyone!! 4 1/2 stars ⭐️
This is my first book by Mercer Scott and I came in on book 3 of this series. Will I be going back to read the first two? Oh yeah! Am I planning to check out more Mercer Scott in the future? You bet your pretty floral bonnet I am. Seriously though, this one was a great read.

This is the first book from this series for me and I think I coped very well not having read the previous 2 books. It was romantic, had good characters, connection and chemistry. Pasts to deal with, emotions to handle, ups and downs, passion, humour, friends, family and so much love. I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC.
I enjoyed this book, Copper and Nat have so much friction! I wasn't so sure about this series, the friends back and forth just rubbed me the wrong way at first but the more I read the more it saw the loyalty of friendship and have enjoyed these books. A real fun read!
